Car Play Connect: Remote Sync Reviews

I tried another that attempted - a much cheaper - subscription right off the bat - they had “30+” brands. Not going to pay if I don’t know if my car will work. How dumb. Then I noticed at the top you can check. I was sure my Tesla would be on the list - but they have their own comprehensive app wouldn’t need it. My 2016 Mercedes I guess was too old for that technology so deleted. Lers assume this is the same technology, CarPlayConnect claims to only have 22 brands and charges 3 times the amount of that other one - no free trial - no way to check if your car is compatible. WHO WOULD PAY THAT MUCH AND NOT KNOW. SERIOUSLY. Unless I’m missing trial or a way to check CarPlayConnect is ridiculous

Saw CarPlayConnect while trying to find a option to talk to my car remotely. Features seem all good and on par with the My BMW app. I tried to find more info on CarPlayConnect like how does it talk to the car. Can’t use 3g since that was cancelled. Can’t use WiFi. So how does it talk to the car. Checked a few websites and all had videos in the BMW app. Lastly if you do a search on CarPlayConnect you get a few hits and the rest are about Apple Car Play. Oh yeah no website only can contact via email. They need to put more info.

I love the Digital Car Key app. The connection of my Toyota Prius was very smooth. It’s so easy to use and has made getting in and out of my car a lot easier too. A few times, I forgot my keys, and CarPlayConnect saved me because there was no need to turn back. I like the way I can see my car’s battery life, and it helps me not forget to charge it. A lifesaver!

Modern technology is the best. I love that all my car information is securely stored in the Digital Car Key app. I got a new Ford Explorer and it only took a few minutes to connect my car with CarPlayConnect and start getting all of its features. I can unlock my car, controlling music, and even be notified if there’s an emergency engine shut down.

In the details it specially says it supports all car models including Honda. Which other apps did not. So I had to freaking buy CarPlayConnect subscription just to find out that it DOES NOT WORK WITH HONDAS!!! That is completely false advertising and a lie in the description. So now I have to worry about getting a refund since this is completely unusable for my car. That needs to be removed from the description!! Along with not making a customer pay for the service before we even know if it will work with our car, that is ridiculous and a rip off!!

I’ve connected my BMW and after wife’s Ford it’s great haha! Car connect without any device. I looked at tire pressure in my wife’s car and realised what was wrong))) charts interesting feature: looking forward to the stats. Please allow connect more than one car in app. Thanks!!

This works exactly as intended and I love being able to have quick access to all the information about my car right from my phone.

CarPlayConnect steals your money. It would not allow me to check to see if my vehicle was part of the list is compatible unless I purchased the subscription. It showed my vehicle was compatible so I purchased a subscription, but when I entered my vin number it said it was not compatible after I already paid. They should have a way where you can put your Vin number in to make sure your vehicle is compatible before you make any purchases. So basically they’re just stealing money.

Don’t get the subscription. I own Toyota Camry SE. and still have a year subscription with Toyota. I was unable to connect with my car unless FIRST I pay for the subscription. When I decided that if I choose 13 weeks and will get cheaper weekly subscription. I did that and now I tried to sign up with my Toyota account. It says that I have to buy subscription from Toyota(which I already have). CarPlayConnect is a joke. I don’t get that why it still says 4.6 stars. Remove it from App Store.

There seems to be a whole bunch of people that are complaining they purchased CarPlayConnect before they checked compatibility of their vehicle. Well, why wouldn’t you check first?
There’s two ways to check, it’s easy.

Open CarPlayConnect and navigate to the settings menu ( the gear icon on the bottom right). In there you will see the compatibility list. The second way is from the same settings menu, there is a link that says how to connect. Click on that and it takes you to website where you can enter your vin number and verify compatibility.

That’s all there is to it.

I never thought I needed something like this, but what a great feature to have for those times when you are rushing out of the house and forget your keys inside.

This is a very convenient app and you don't have to be very close to your car in order to use it, which for me is the best of all its features.

I don't have a single complaint about CarPlayConnect. It gives me everything it advertises and the user interface couldn't be nicer and clearer.

CarPlayConnect is not compatible with Honda vehicles even tho it is listed as an option. I had to pay the subscription fee to connect my car only to find out it isn’t compatible. I have sent two refund requests and separate email asking for my money back and have not gotten a single response. Do your research.

CarPlayConnect works just as it's supposed to. It's a different feeling using your phone to control your car but so far I'm loving it!

I just downloaded CarPlayConnect and was excited to explore all its features but when it asked me to connect my car (it wouldn’t let me go further until I paid for a subscription) it said Honda is not compatible. I’m a little frustrated because the description says it supports “Acura/Honda” but only shows Acura. So I paid for nothing.

CarPlayConnect says it is compatible with Honda, when I downloaded CarPlayConnect I was prompted to pay for a subscription which I did. Then the service they use says they don’t recognize Honda as a brand… So now I cannot use CarPlayConnect at all and just wasted my money on a subscription for no reason. Nothing I can do. If you have a Honda don’t fall for it.

I just signed up for a year of Car Play Connect for my new Honda. It appears in the description on CarPlayConnect Store that your product works with Honda. Only then to purchase it and find out it is not compatible. How do I go about getting refunded for the year membership that I was charged? Thank you.

No where in the discrimination does it say not available for Kia vehicles. Paid for CarPlayConnect went to add my car and it’s not available.😡 When your discrimination at the end names all these makes and MORE, 🤔 it’s kinda vague. And I had to pick a plan to find out!🤬

I haven’t used it yet I have 2cara 2012,2dr Honda accord v6,& 2017 BMWM-ser,650i fully loaded v8,…. I say that to say this I was smoking in are family car 1night dwn loaded CarPlayConnect in the car an it logged in my car like I was able to track my car movements an all so my guess answer of CarPlayConnect cause I didn’t use it yet do to my sons an busyness I forget but so far so good as the saying goes

I’m so glad I read the reviews before signing up. Seems like it was good when it started but reading the reviews from the last year until a few days ago; people are not impressed; They are mad bc their money was just taken away. You all will have what you deserve. Thank you to the people that is looking out for people like me.

Deleted CarPlayConnect immediately after i saw that you have to pay first.
Just in case someone from the jobless department says you have the options on the top of the screen to check the car, yes i know that but I don’t know if your app will work or not.

I didn’t want to even give one star! These people are frauds. They advertise features that your vehicle isn’t compatible with and then don’t give refunds. A company that doesn’t give refunds and avoids the topic by transferring you to any other department !! Now after paying a annual subscription I have to wait till it clears my bank to get a refund
