DO NOT use iRecord, it doesn’t not work. It will record, but won’t transcribe 90% of the time. And when it does, it’s jibberish. I have emailed them 9 times and only got 1 response telling me to uninstall and reinstall. They have ignored all my requests for a refund! NO customer service at all!! I just want my money back. I paid for a service that doesn’t work!!! If I could give them ZERO stars I would. SCAM!!! DO NOT USE!!!! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!

I downloaded it and accidentally thumb ID’d on my phone which purchased a trial version. I didn’t want a monthly app- how ridiculous is that in the first place? You’re not Microsoft :)

Anyway, I thought I would try the free trial out and I gave it a go. It did not work as well as my phones voice record or voice to text, nor did it work as fast. It was actually significantly worse, and I deleted iRecord .

Well, well, well- apparently I deleted a SHORTCUT to iRecord , and iRecord stayed on. I just got charged for a sub-par app that didn’t work right, and deleted the “subscription” as soon as I saw the email.

Recurring charges for a freaking voice app is ridiculous, and the fact that it doesn’t work well makes it even more ridiculous. Anyway, I would expect a developer who charged recurring fees for a piddly dink little app to actually include a shortcut with iRecord in order to mislead people to thinking that iRecord was gone; and viola! That is exactly what iRecord does!

Screw you, screw your unscrupulous attempt to charge recurring fees for something so basic as a voice to text app, and screw your even harder for including a shortcut with the download.

Big deal, ya made 5 bucks or whatever. Your magnum opus is complete now, and you can invest 5 bucks in your retirement plan or crack pipe- whatever, and so be it.

I tried transcribing a short recording from iPhone memos, but was unable to do it apart from choosing three day free trial, after which do you have to pay a ridiculous amount. There are other apps which do a great job for 1/10 the price. if there is actually a way to do it for free, or for low price, it is not clear from iRecord . I wonder how genuine are the reviews, some of which give five star, but have no idea what they're talking about.

I wanted to like them so app and needed it to work for my microbiology class(nursing prerequisite) but it just doesn’t do a good job of transcribing. I will make sure that I am set up on WiFi so that it can connect to the transcription software… I’ll start the recorder and once in a while it will do its job of recording and transcribing. BUT most of the time it will only record. And to make matters worse when I go to get a transcription after the fact(since it didn’t do it when I was actively recording) it wants to charge me lol anywhere from $40-80 depending on how long the recording is!!! WHAT!!? Why!? Not cool. I have had luck with using the voice recorder that comes with the iPhone and then transferring the recording to this app and it seems to translate that way…
All in all this doesn’t work as advertised and not worth the money in my opinion.

Husband works out of town. And, as silly as it may seem I wanted to sing a song for him, that maybe made him feel not so alone. Unfortunately , Only to be shut down when it played it WOULD NOT record. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I don’t get it ! like singing in front of people at all terrifies meAnd I know he’s not hear the lub is I. His way!

I did a trial and then wanted to edit the recording. Did not see a way of doing that and there's no help and I'm tired of lazy apps that are are not intuitive and make you figure out how to use them. Editing the transcription should seem a simple task but no. But with an expensive app and a trial period of a super generous three whole days, I can now delete with no charge.

Its no different then a group talk to text. I mean it deserves 0 stars. As its not a proprietary idea. More like more clutter on my home page . Plus theres a billion other companies that do this so apple whores together a text message app. Paints it white. And probably removed the ability to type lol. G mail been doing this for 15 years. I guess when you have created an app for everything you repeat yourself

When audio or speech is decent the transcription is excellent. However, a big problem exists when switching back and forth between pause and record. That function is not 100%. It will keep recording when it’s supposed to be on pause sometimes. You have to toggle back and forth to straighten out the problem. I’m an interpreter and must constantly stop and start recording. So this is a problem. When this glitch is resolved it’ll be 5 stars. Until then it’s only 4 stars. Still a great product though.

It’s an excellent app, don’t get me wrong. They explain that you can easily remove your subscription but that didn’t happen to me at least. They continue charging for a service that I just used once. Yet, it’s an excellent option if you learn more for reading that listening

Really basic stuff like how to work with the files you’ve created you have to figure it out and in fact it seems like it just doesn’t have that feature.

I have a lot of voice memos on average 30 seconds and I want to process them in a batch and it doesn’t seem to have that ability so I have to spend 30 seconds transcribing it and saving it. I emailed and asked for help and they didn’t respond.

On the flipside what it actually does is very robust. I can’t figure out how to work with the files but how to use the file wow!

It creates a transcription with a timestamp then you can touch any sentence and it will play that sentence. It also gives you tags at the top where it’s figured the words of the most significance.

If you were working with a few files that are very long this thing is awesome

I literally just downloaded iRecord and had one recording transcribed which did have quite a bit of error errors but it was a lot better than I expected. I’m hoping that this can be iRecord I used to transcribe conversations with my husband as I am in a severe DV situationand documenting everything is essential to my well-being and future.

iRecord is so awesome that no one should be without it.
It is seamless, fast and extremely accurate and all who have not tried iRecord should try it!

In my opinion. It is a must app!and I encourage the purchase of iRecord.!

You definitely should purchase you won’t go wrong. Thank you very much For the creator of iRecord. I appreciate you because iRecord have saved me countless of ways to try to figure out how I might take my voice and then transcribe it. This iRecord is incredible and awesome again I thank you so very much.

When I first saw this, I got nervous. I’m really bad with electronics. For being on this website and being able to write my thoughts down so easily and they saved forever. I can’t begin to tell you how happy this makes me. God bless all of your workers.

Comparing and contrast any and every other mic and recording app this one I will get to know like I know the other recording sessions after all recording is recording to me! You can always slow it down or speed it up ! And sometimes that’s good enough!! Check it out for yourself!!

iRecord rocks! I have been trying to transcribe the same audio recording for over a year and none of the other apps or websites could transcribe the audio, yet iRecord did it on the first try.

Just one of many , but I think its the best, written summary of the recording, you won’t believe it till you see it.
It also includes “ time stamps “ that is;
the time that thing was said in the recording.

That alone makes it stand above all the others.

Try and see how great this this app is. It transcribes recordings from other device. Transcription completes quickly and completely no matter the duration of the recorded audio. I recommend this especially for class lectures and meetings.

I love iRecord. Works very well. Transcription is clear and on point I highly recommend at least trying iRecord. I will be using iRecord over any other recording or transcription app.

Nothing is perfect but I don’t know how it could be any better

Some of the transcribing is not going to be perfect if the voices are low as to be expected, it does its best, but if you want a higher transcribed version you have those options.
