Fabulous application. It is fast, faster than Google’s live transcribe app. But maybe because there are fewer users? Translation is very good. At least on part with Live Transcribe which I use as benchmark. I have compared numerous transcribe app and as such checking critically. I am using the iPhone 13 and the mic is super sensitive so group transcribe picks up a lot of speech. Even from a couple of yards away easily. Hoping for bigger fonts and landscape mode also and possible option for white text on black background. Thank you Microsoft!

So far I’m very impressed with GroupTranscribe. It was “cool” that I mirrored my “conversation” on to a large display. Just had trouble with the small font on the screen. I actually tested GroupTranscribe with the PGA Championship (Sep 4). Which means this could be used for movies or any broadcast that doesn’t have Closed Caption. So I’m slowly thinking of ways GroupTranscribe would help with my father in laws degrading hearing. Thanks for your work and providing it for free to the rest of us.

This is a really nice tool but it really needs larger fonts for folks that are both hard of hearing and have some vision issues as well. If the larger font options are added, it will be a huge improvement.

There are several features it needs to succeed. It needs a mute button else a cough or side conversation gets turned into text. It needs a way to for a user to correct a poor translation. It needs better noise filters as this doesn’t work well in a meeting when all the mobile devices recording are in the same room.

This looks like a great app idea, and implementation - except for the need to be in the same room. Every meeting for the last year, and for months to come, is virtual. This should let participants connect via the cloud not just locally.

Great app but needs a pause/resume meeting feature button when a meeting takes a small break without having to end the session and start a new one.

Fantastic app overall, just need an option to increase font sizes for the live transcription so it’s easier to read at a distance.

Amazing app for collecting thoughts, just missing some duh features like a way to pause transcription so you can take a restroom break.
Another duh feature is the ability to name the recordings.
Also, don’t censor out participants’ words (curse words etc). That’s nonsense for an app that’s supposed to transcribe as is.
Lots of room for improvement but core function is accurate.

I would give it 5 stars if it was available to view in landscape mode. Right now although it’s good, it s a bit of a pain to use.

With Apple failing to provide this essential service, this free option from Microsoft is superior to other paid iOS options and from my casual testing, superior to Google on Android devices. Hope Microsoft pushes forward with GroupTranscribe but it hasn’t been updated in 2 months.
