We already have the Apple Keychain that has (and will continue to have) Apple’s full support, at least until they replace it with something else, and provide the necessary tools to migrate all of our data.
And you can be sure that they have at least a team of developers on this aspect of their device and OS crossing security.
But to trust that same important data (and more) within a 3rd party app (any 3rd party app), is extremely risky.
Especially within a brand new app in this secured information app-space where a number of well established vendors have been developing and honing their apps in the scene for years.
WHY IS IT RISKY?
Because there are many ways that you could lose access to your data in a moment (if not permanently lose your presumed safe data), without knowing about it until you next try to use SecureVault .
If you don’t use SecureVault very frequently, it could be quite a long time before you discover a data access / loss issue.
For all we know, this may have been built be a fly-by-night developer, who could take SecureVault out of the AppStore any time they feel like it, and close up shop.
They could increase the minimum app requirements to the very latest version of iOS / iPadOS, or even just to a version that your hardware can’t run (or you don’t want to run, for some reason).
And don’t forget the potential for bugs to wreak havoc and/or cause damage.
Take version 1.0.0, for example, where upon launch, SecureVault was prompting for a 4 digit code to gain entry, before it even gave you an opportunity to set your code.
Kind of a silly bug, really, when it comes down to it, and it appears to have been fixed in version 1.0.1.
But ask yourself the questions, “Was that really a bug? Or was it some kind of skeezy ruse by the developer to increase app downloads, right at a time when the very steep $49.99 Lifetime IAP was discounted to $0.00, but without actually ever allowing anyone who wanted that free IAP to actually get it?”
The developer can say anything they want about that, or anything else, but there’s just no telling what the real truth might be.

NOTE: I am a developer with a B.Sc. in computer science, and I’m commenting here just as anyone can.
I am in no way connected with this developer, and I don’t know him/her/them.
I have never developed any apps for Apple hardware, or Apple operating systems, but I’m sure it is both challenging, and rewarding.
Fwiw, I’m just someone who has been in the business for my entire working career, and who has seen a few things.

The good and bad parts of SecureVault :
Good parts
Hides itself well under disguise of calculator.
Free app at the time.
Bad parts
Can only use Google to search.
Cannot bookmark web sites.
Cannot download pictures. Long press does nothing.
Cannot download video files.
No instructions.
No response from developer about above questions through email.
Needs lots of work.
Not worth it.
In short…deleted!

I download SecureVault, and it opened on a screen with a keyboard. Nothing I tried will get me beyond the keyboard screen. I don’t see a settings button. The keyboard is behaving as if it wants a password, but of course I don’t have one. I deleted SecureVault and reinstalled, but that didn’t help either. I’ll change this review after I get a chance to actually use it.

I got SecureVault through an app that said it was free for
Today. I downloaded it for free and followed the instructions for lifetime - which was supposed to be free for today according to AppAdvice daily. I was charged $32. Why am I being charged for something that was supposed to be FREE.

when i first found put about SecureVault i was thrilled, i could keep all my personal stuff away from everyone else. and it worked! i wanted to try put some features but i needed premium, so i bought the 1 week service. even AFTER buying and canceling and re-buying and restoring my purchase it didnt let me use the premium access. it made me not even want to use SecureVault because the one feature i want was premium and even buying it didnt work. just dissapointed :/

The description says you can store passwords, notes, etc but I can’t figure out how to input free text. It needs a user’s manual!
