I own the gym and Speediance. Company has no support. Phone goes to voicemail. Email does not work (they say to call instead). “Chat” never connects. So, beware.
1. Can’t use the Gym Pal bc Speediance doesn’t retain the login info.
2. Have to keep force closing app so that it will bring up login screen that uses email address and password. The stupid app always initializes trying to get you to login with phone number, but it defaults to +86 exchange, which cannot be changed!!!l
3. Speediance needs to be rewritten from start to finish
I am a product (app) designer and an avid user of the Gym Monster. In my opinion, Speediance experience is not on par with the quality of the equipment. My biggest pain points are: 1) numerous copy inconsistencies and grammar that doesn’t reflect proper English. 2) Some of the text is too small and/or light which is an accessibility issue. 3) The Home Screen/dashboard UX is a bit jumbled and hard to parse. Tweaks like adjusting spacing and grouping content into modules would help. I hope the this app team is open to feedback on their UI and UX (I have more!). I love the gym equipment and want them to succeed - evolving Speediance would surely help in that department.
The first rep on the gym monster sometimes triggers without me moving the weight. i hope a software update can fix
Overall, I find this to be a perfectly suitable app. However, it is currently only possible to have one this app account connected to the Gym Pal via Speediance . This prevents multi-user and family use, and hope to see this feature added soon!
I absolutely love my Gym Minster, it is the single best home gym equipment you can buy!
HOWEVER, the Apple Watch heart rate tracking needs work. My Apple Watch (Gen 9) repeatedly disconnects during a workout, and I need to relaunch Speediance from my watch multiple times when this happens to reconnect. Please improve the stability of the Apple Watch heart rate tracking! Thank you!
Love the ability to customize my workout with 100's of exercises. I workout more now than ever, but it is so much fun. Plus, my gym came with a lifetime subscription, so no monthly fees. Amazing!
Less than 1/3rd the price of a Tonal and content is FREE. App plays nice with the equipment and syncs well with Apple Fitness (including the iWatch) - nicely done.
