TheScoutApp could be very helpful if developers fix it:

TheScoutApp is very slow
The search bar is made poorly: I can’t search all the locations I want, I can’t search hashtags, I can’t just open the map and see what’s interesting nearby
I can’t add a text to the photo I share
I don’t know how much $ I can earn selling 1 location
I don’t see notifications that someone saved my location
When I submit photo I need to put tags, but I can’t just copy and paste these tags because than it will be one huge tag. TheScoutApp doesn’t offer me tag recommendations, I have to write tags 1 by 1 manually and this is very time consuming and could lead to mistakes
Home page should be updated every time when someone posts a photo nearby. I still don’t get if I could see posts from the people I subscribed on
I want to go to the person’s profile and see the statistics how many locations they sold
When I open saved locations that someone else saved it shows me that they saved 3/4 same locations which is incorrect. TheScoutApp is full of bugs
I want to search for not only the exact cities, but also particular areas, counties and regions. For example: New England, Orange County, Lake Michigan, Boston
I want to see popular creators in my area

I’ve been a follower of emma and was so excited to hear about TheScoutApp ! I think it’s such a clever idea for creators. One thing I noticed is TheScoutApp loading times are very long! So I actually haven’t had the chance to really enjoy exploring scout. It’s definitely confusing at first and I think emma and her team mentioned that they’re working on the user experience. Great idea and so helpful, but I think I need to wait to use it more often once I understand all the key functions and loading times are sped up!

I downloaded TheScoutApp because I follow the creator on instagram. At first I was looking forwards to leaning new locations in my city to take photos. HOWEVER TheScoutApp is incredibly slow and not intuitive at all. It takes 2-3 minutes to launch any page or search result. Additionally paying to access locations is irrational especially for the price. Moreover I was able to identify the locations easily bc they were taken where I live and I could point out landmarks in the background.

I wanted to love this but… no.

I was really excited to use TheScoutApp but was VERY disappointed. I’m huge fan of Emma but this feels like a cash grab, you have to pay to unlock the locations… I’m sure many people don’t want to pay just to find a location for a photo. Not only that but TheScoutApp is extremely slow and I can 100% confirm it has nothing to do with my internet. I really wanted to love TheScoutApp but I’m very disappointed.

TheScoutApp is to help creators find locations right? Then why do you have to pay in order to find out where the location is? Pretty useless in my opinion and almost feels like a gate-keeping app…

There’s an app called PAO which is completely free and doesn’t ask you for money. They need to compare themselves to competitors like PAO and at this rate, they are veryyyy behind.

I follow Emma on her socials and I LOVE the concept of TheScoutApp!! However, in order to use the feature for TheScoutApp, which is to discover photo locations nearby, you have to pay for “locks” to unlock each location. I deleted TheScoutApp immediately and am disappointed since I thought this would be a fun way for influencers and photographers to connect and share ideas.

you have to pay $1.99 per location which is a complete rip off! i might as well DM a creator to ask where a location is. also, it would be so much easier if there was a map where you could see scouted locations near you, versus scrolling endlessly. pages take forever to load.

Account was disabled and I was never able to get any access to it, I keep getting a warning to contact them via email. I have reset my password and nothing is working, I gave up on TheScoutApp and I wasn’t able to use it yet

I literally couldn’t even create an account. Just kept getting a message that said I “already had an account and it might have been deleted” when I’ve never used TheScoutApp before… what?

I really like Emma, wanted to like TheScoutApp but I couldn’t even access my account ! I contacted the support team 3 times and their respond was not helpful at all. I’m disappointed !

So proud of Emma for coming up with an app that’s so cute and so practical!! I can’t wait to utilize TheScoutApp ❤️

I wanted to like TheScoutApp as a follower and fan of Emma but TheScoutApp is insanely annoying and hard to use! Mostly features I would want to use are an additional fee

TheScoutApp is a flop, it doesn't work at all and then when you finally get it too you have to pay to see public locations. feels like a huge money trap. i'll just stick to instagram and using the map to search locations there. super disappointed with all the buzz Emma created around it and the boujie trips for it to be such a bad app. maybe put the money back into making TheScoutApp actually work and not charge for every location.

I have tried to sign up with multiple emails and I have never made it past the signup section of the process. The screen freezes, and then when I try to create an account again it says that there is already an account with my email. When I try to log in it says account doesn’t exist. Just a bunch of contradictions. I’ve wasted a lot of time unfortunately trying to get this to work

Its pretty much a gate keeping app where you purchase every location you want… instead of just sharing for free because no one owns that location anyways…

Tried making an account & screen never moved on after inputting my information…. Till this day still can’t get passed that part

i love emma but TheScoutApp is so hard to use for literally no reason. i can’t sign up for an account still and it is soooo slow. it’s been a long time since TheScoutApp launched idk why these issues haven’t been fixed.

I think the idea of TheScoutApp was great. However the execution… not so much. As someone who has an app this entire idea could be added as a feature in an already established app. The fact that I have to pay to unlock a location is frustrating and gives off gatekeep-y vibes. TheScoutApp is slow and take forever on certain pages. I can’t pin a location by typing it in, I have to actually search the map with my fingers and then set a pin. It’s not worth trying to make money on TheScoutApp
