I like to take this sort of situation to see if these things work. I have three apps that all have a 50 mph weather warning from the national weather service. Windometer is out of the loop. Pass.
Wish it would show wind direction and also wind history of that day from previous years to help understand wind direction trends. For example during the colder months it seems the wind in my area travels due north most of the time. Showing more historic data to compare to would help understand wind patterns
This application is just like all the others. When you point your phone to the wind it doesn’t accurately tell me the wind. Frustrating!

This is a quick reference app. I do a lot of open fire cooking and I use it 5-6X daily to figure out where to place my wind breaks. I also enjoy the fact that I can check different places around the world for the wind speed and direction. Excellent quick reference . I would recommend.
Well… must say… Windometer does not just work… it actually works quite well!!! If I had a “druther” my druther would be for Windometer to have a widget… widgets get right down to business… a widget that could be set to a remote location not just where I’m standing at the moment… very useful for anyone with a remote property or wind sensitive equipment… example… antennas, towers or a shore property…

Was looking for an app that had real time wind speed and gusts and so far this seems to be accurate. Another app I was using no longer brings up any information and will be deleting that one. I have high hopes for this one. Keep up the good work to the developer.
This free app is perfect. No ads, no free trial, easy to use. It shows wind direction and speed on a big compass, along with gusts. It also shows 24-hr wind speed forecast by hour. It lets you save other locations too and doesn’t hound you about your location. Highly recommended by this fisherman.
I needed an app that would give me an idea of a wind forecast. There are apps with real time information but not a real forecast of the wind. I like to ride my bicycle but I don’t want a lot of wind while I ride. I live in Ks so this is a real issue. Now with Windometer I can plan whether I’ll ride my bike or go to the gym in advance. Recently began using Windometer for planning and participating in lake sailing, kayaking, rowing, efoil and SUP activities. Simple to use. Accurate readings. The bold font and compass reading graphics make info gathering a breeze!

Those are graphical wind speed and gust meters to give the user a glanceable way to see how windy it will be on those days. The solid meter represents wind speed strength, and the outlined meter is the gust speed (which is usually equal to or higher). The colours represent the intensity of the wind speed, where more blue means less windy, and more yellow to red is faster wind speed.
Pure red represents 100 km/h winds.
This is a very handy and useful wind app that both my wife and I use on a daily basis. We experience a lot of windy conditions out here in the west and at our winter residence here in New Mexico. Windometer shows us the upcoming wind conditions for the week and in real time both in a forecast mode and via a directional wind speed still odometer reading. Whether you are at home or traveling Windometer will give you wind speeds wherever you are at. The developer is a good man too and responds to feedback quickly. Very pleased with Windometer and highly recommend it as it is another tool in our weather folder that is accurate and helps us plan out our daily routine and weekly plans.
Well I would like to stop and catch my breath from my walking being an ole man sometimes is not fun ( being out of breath is one of them ) anyway I wanted to say how unique this Wind Design app is! Accurate wind forcast for my area with no adds as of 4/15/22. If they add ads I'm deleting it immediately.

My husband go biking 3-4x week. Since we live near a beach we always check the wind. Yesterday his app was waaaaay different than the results on mine. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but got the same results. Who’s was right????
