I have played all of the Blue Ox games and enjoyed them all so far. This particular game is half baked. There’s just not much here. Not sure how this has over 4 stars. The game functions in such a way that you will just end up creating the same few words over and over again or will resort to just swapping out vowels. There is no real incentive to come up with unique words and that’s where this game misses. It gets really repetitive and boring pretty quickly. Also “ras” is considered a word but not “fart” or “farted”? Come on! The word bank is very odd and excludes many common words which results in a lot of unnecessary twaddles. Also there is no way to see the game’s road map, meaning you can’t see how many locations there are to travel to and you can’t look back at where you’ve been which makes the leveling up seem arbitrary and doesn’t feel rewarding. This game feels unfinished and was clearly just pumped out to make a quick buck. Not what I have come to expect from Blue Ox. Bummer. Skip this one.

This game is all the good things that others have expressed, but it also has drawbacks. For one, there are few ‘rewards’ of coins or power tools along the way, just lots of “opportunities” to purchase same. All other games I play provide a small daily reward for checking-in, and bonus rewards during game play. Some levels are highly challenging (a good thing) but highly frustrating without power tools or coins to buy them (not a good thing). There also seems to be some stinginess when one runs out of lives, which take ½ hour to regenerate. I’ve used up all 5 lives, then closed out the game only to open it hours later and see that all 5 lives are still expired. As soon as I open the game, the first life is just beginning to regenerate. I’ve seen several times when I’m on Life #5 and it tells me I’m 26 minutes before the next life is available. Several minutes later when I’ve still not conquered that level, the clock resets back to 30 minutes until the next life is available. I have also been awarded 4 power tools upon reaching a new ‘destination’ only to have them all disappear after using just one. Also, the “Undo” tool is not available when one is at the end of the 5th life. Glitches or greediness? Either way, makes the game less pleasurable.

I love Blue Ox games and I love this one, but as someone else noted, after the basic tutorial, there is no help to remember what the perks you earn do for you.
Also, way too sensitive on iPad. In trying to use my index finger to place a letter on the puzzle, the base of my thumb touched the iPad resulting in a Twaddle and I was never able to make a word on that line again. I am sure there probably is a way to undo a move, but as mentioned above, I did not know what feature would fix this.
I played the original Moxie also and was surprised when this version allowed you to use words more than once. Like someone else, I kind of miss the themes, but realize that you have already done that. I honestly think this game could be even better with easy help reminders of what you can do with the various features. Having to leave your game to go back to a tutorial, till you memorize the symbols, is just too time consuming and makes me play less out of frustration.
Nevertheless, I like the game immensely but am hoping for updates to help.
