Countdown - Pretty Progress Reviews

Countdown is pretty easy to use! It lets you see all of your progress at a glance. I can customize colors and font which is nice. Would recommend this for any user looking for this app widgets to track all your progress.

I was looking for an app that allows me to track progress of things that aren’t time-based. Like a widget that counts from 0 to 10 and allows me to manually update it. Or track progress to a financial goal.

This progress timer is one of the best. It has great functionality as well as customization.

Just downloaded. Deleted built in daily weekly monthly yearly timers and added vacation timer. Icon on my Home Screen still showing daily timer. Cannot get it to change to vacation timer. Deleted Countdown . Will try to reinstall. Need help.

Not able to add anything other than what’s available in the original

App closes out everytime I try to add a this app… major glitches. Note, I have an IPhone 12 mini & my phone is completely updated

I love Countdown! It’s a hidden secret. So simple and so useful. It also helps me use my time more useful. No better place to have a reminder that the object we look at so many times a day.

I use it for count down reminders to an event and how much longer is to the end of an event. Such as next travel date ✈️ count down and an other one when I travel back. some other items I use this for:
- weddings & big events
- birthdays/birthday parties
- other people visiting arrival and departure
- how much time I have in a day to be productive
- how long since my last workout (I have a habit to set it after each workout)
- kid school events
- etc

I even put this on my school aged kids phones so they know when an event is coming up. No more “Mom, how long until my birthday/upcoming trip/friends birthday party/any school break and more.

The only feature I would like is an alarm / notification feature when the moment has arrived.

Pretty Progress gives some reality and understanding to an abstract concept of time and makes it more valuable. And it’s pretty too.

I’m hesitant to write this because I hope it doesn’t result in changes but when I look for apps I typically scroll and scroll until I see one that does not have a “in app purchases” flag on it because I loathe subscriptions.

Countdown’s monetization scheme is what apps should strive for. You can use all the functionality (with the exception of some unnecessary albeit nice additions/tweaks).

The Lock Screen widgets are amazing and easy to set up along with the home screen widgets. Well done and thank you !

I love Pretty Progress so much. The free version has more than enough features for me to track progress with my goals and to count down to important dates. The Lock Screen widget is one of my favorite features as it is simple, and tells me all I need to know about my tracking. Countdown itself is very intuitive and simple to use. Lots of color options and the paid version includes cool styles for your countdowns. Great, simple, elegant tracker!

I found this when looking for a this app widget to help me keep track on cons and birthdays inching closer, and i absolutely have to give it to y’all; i have never been so willing to drop money on a new app. the one time payment for pro is SO fair and lovely, so happy with Countdown and the styles of widgets!! i’m very excited to see the new things put into Countdown over time!

Please allow us to change the color of each Lock Screen widget. Like other reviewers have said, we want the Lock Screen widgets to be colored. I paid for Countdown to have a red and a blue Swiss style Lock Screen widget.

Also we want no text option for the widget , just the Swiss style circle please. We do not need the text if we have colors for the different count downs.

Please add a different color option for each this app on the Lock Screen. It will take longer for you to change the styles, but please just change the colors for now?

Thank you so much for making Countdown. Really easy to use. Countdown accomplishes such an important function in my productivity. I can just glance and know exactly how much time is left in the day/month/year. Calendars don’t do a good job conveying how much time is left but “Pretty Progress” does. I’m using Pretty Progress to track my travels and to remind me to appreciate the moment I’m in (because it doesn’t last forever). I like seeing the widget whenever I’m on my iPad; it’s unobtrusive and minimal. It doesn’t push itself on you - just provides the this app reminder that you set. Good work on Countdown!

I like the idea of Countdown and the customizations available. Now that the iPhone Lock Screen is customizable, I put one of my Countdowns as a widget. I wish that was more customizable (it shows the ring on the Lock Screen but that’s not the type this app i wanted). I’m not sure if that is an iOS thing or an app thing. The only other wish I have is that we could count something other than time. Savings, tracking water, anything like that.

I love having widgets on my home screen that show how many weeks left in the year there are. It would be nice if you could edit the rounding of numbers. For example, it says 8.7 weeks left. I would rather it say 9 weeks left, so rounding up.

The latest upgrade moved this from a 4 (an app with potential) to a really useful app. The ability to sort gives me the views to what is coming up. I am looking forward to the next update as well.

I think it is so helpful once you get it!!! It works fantastic although if you don’t know how to operate your iPhone or something use google to help you :)

I love Countdown because it’s so simple yet so useful and meets my needs in a this app app! The free version is great, actually it’s the only app that I’ve found that lets me make a widget for free!

Countdown is a great and simple useful tool! The layout of Countdown is easy to understand though I don’t like how you have to purchase Countdown to have the days this app. The one big thing that is leading me to requesting a refund is that the widgets don’t work. I am able to add the widgets but the widget is blank and won’t show any data.

Setting long term goals using this visually stunning interface is magical. Intuitive, simple to use, I’ll be using this every day to achieve my dreams! 🥰

Tried a lot of them. This one is the one you want. Counts both ways, is pretty, easy to use and has good visuals. 👍🏻

If you just need a widget listing the time remaining for an important event without a progress bar, get the this app app.

Helps me keep track of important events in a busy world! Keeps me on track and on time. Very handy but a little bit difficult to set up.

This it's pretty much the best app for this app. You don't have to look elsewhere, you are found it.

Great app with nice options and widgets, but… widgets were not refreshing and even not loading. Appears that Apple needs to refresh widgets more often or something. Not useful if the widget content doesn’t show.

I love to have widgets that count down to big trips. Pretty progress makes them look beautiful on my Home Screen.

I haven’t paid for anything and I’m able to keep my countdowns on my lock screen. Clean designs and very easy use!

It would be nice to have another option for weight tracking. Instead of only time based status bars.

Not only does it make vacations better it makes striving for a milestone or goal better. Seems I always have 1 or 2 going at a time. It’s the little things in life that make a big difference and Pretty Progress makes a big difference in my life!

Only Days are in the free app, anything else requires an expensive monthly subscription or $20 lifetime fee which is stupid. Developer is more interested in annoying users to death with popups, then in providing a quality app and fixing the numerous bugs.

There are tons of timer apps that don’t charge and annoy you for every little thing. Download one of those instead.

I like Countdown. The iOS widgets & macOS app are great for those like me who do better by seeing a plan or task visually. I set this up, so that at a quick glance I knew how far out my next IT cert exam date was. For someone like me who has ADHD, and therefore struggles with being on time and keeping longer timeframe projects on schedule, Countdown has been great. I also love all the different themes and styles for the visual calendars. The variety and different colors really help to make it more fun & visually separate one widget from another. I’m also going to try the new widgets on MacOS Sonoma. I hope the developers & team keep up the good work!

Powerful and to the point. It does what it does well. The free version gives you a good taste of it’s capabilities and you can get by with it if you have minimal needs. You can’t change the type of this app style on free.
👉What I love most is that it offers a lifetime buy and “own” option. They push a subscription model like most other businesses, but they also give you the option of purchasing in full and that really matters and should be pointed out and applauded. 👏 👏 👏 it’s an extremely fair price for a program with this functionality, polish, and updates.

Pretty progress has been very helpful to me so far when counting down the days to certain specific things. It lets you know the percentage and how many days left or how many have gone by. My only problem is that to unlock more things like unlimited countdowns and more customization you have to pay. Which in most people’s minds wouldn’t be that much but it’s just not worth it for me to spend money if I don’t use it as much as I do TikTok or Snapchat. Overall it’s a great app it’s just that one little thing.

I’ve used this for vacations, birthdays and other important events. I love the fact it’s able to keep that information front and center so I can see how much time they have to that special date. It’s easy to use and very visually appealing. I don’t have to make reminders to prepare for special events because it’s right in front of me.

From tracking my caffeine fast. To counting down to the next big vacation of the year. Countdown fits the Apple ecosystem so well. I am very happy with Countdown and expect to use it as long as i can.

Countdown is very ADHD friendly and makes it easy to keep track of when things are due. The widgets for both iOS and MacOS are wonderful and keep reminding and motivating me to try and get stuff done. The developer is also very kind, friendly, incredibly helpful, and supports students! Thank you!

I use this for counting down when I get to see my girlfriend. Really helps knowing time is linear and things will be here before you know it. I also use it for holidays as it’s something I look forward to so I count down until the final day:)

Overall a good tracking app. I like the colors and widget option. I think they restrict you a bit much for free because I definitely wouldn’t mind adds here and there to get just a smidgen more. I don’t think people use these enough to justify paying for a this app app but that’s just my opinion. Overall great app!

Very pleased with Countdown . Tracking days to trip, days since life milestones, and even how long I am estimated to have to live. I like being reminded of these when I glance at my phone.

I’ve tried other this app apps and this one exceeded expectations. It has everything I was looking for in terms of functionality and refined customization options.

As a junior ar university, this is a life saver for keeping my deadlines in order. The widget feature is a life saver, all my due dates are on my desktop and I see them every time I open my computer. If you are someone who has trouble keeping deadlines in order, Countdown is a lifesaver!

I got Countdown to this app the payment on a student loan as a way to motivate myself. I love that you can easily change the this app widgets and that there are many varieties. I’ve had no issues so far and I’ve even thought about what other things I can this app to!

I chose to quit drinking alcohol to remove an unnecessary poison from my life so that I could focus on my health, career, and to save money. Having Countdown widget on my screen everyday showing not only how far I have to go but more importantly my process thus far has been such an incredible motivator to keep going. The way Countdown and widget are set up is perfect in every way from accessibility to its layout/appearance. I have attended multiple brunches and grabbed dinner a few times to celebrate friends promotions, engagements, etc and caught myself thinking that one cheers and sip of champagne isn’t a big deal but then looking down at my phone seeing that I was almost to my goal date and my progress circle was almost closed was enough of an incentive to grab a sparkling water instead. Countdown is on my must have app list and now that I hit my first goal I decided to add more time to my sober goal with confidence towards accomplishing it once again thanks to this clear no nonsense visual daily reminder.

I originally thought it would be cool to have a very simple this app widget, but once I downloaded Pretty Progress and saw all the possibilities that I could use this, I bought the lifetime version. I’ve been using it to this app all sorts of special events in my life… but also been using it to keep track of deadlines, birthdays, subscriptions… all sorts of things. The widgets look great… I would love to see more Apple Watch complication styles, but otherwise Countdown is great!

It is exactly what it says it is, a this app widget for your phone. I’ve had it for over a year now and it’s pretty nice to see how far I’ve come getting closer to goals and such. One was quitting my job as a lifeguard. The only way it could’ve better is if pro was a one time purchase instead of a subscription. I would genuinely buy bro if it was a one dtime dpurchases of like $70 or something.

There's several options with the free version. Count up or down, shows the percentage as well. You can choose the colors you want to use for the font, the background, etc. I added the widget to my Lock Screen as a quick reminder of my goal.

I’m currently using Countdown to keep track of the time I have before I ship off to the navy and it does the job perfectly, you can put it onto a widget on IOS and everytime I look at it I get super excited for shipping out
Definitely recommend Countdown but there are a few unnecessary things they want you to pay for, but you can get the necessities free

Can customize Countdown in design and how you choose to this app. There’s also many new features which I had requested for in the past. Nice to know and see they listen to the users.

I use this for work, studies and in my personal life and has been great in keeping me organize and excited for upcoming dates.
