I really love this app. It is super helpful for me in remembering my scripture. What I have found over time is that I remember the verse, but not where to find it! This app would be a 10/10 if they would just add the book/chapter/verse info at the end of each memory tool. For example: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 - having the “Romans 6:23” as a part of the memory tool is ESSENTIAL. Otherwise all I can do is rattle off scripture but I can’t tell you where to find it or where it came from. Also, because there is no book/chapter/verse memory requirement, the flash cards are useless because I can never remember what verse goes to what book/chapter/verse.

Wow. This app really does not look like much, but Goliath didn’t think David looked like much either. It has helped me to memorize many verses because it does a great job of breaking it into parts and then building it up. One drawback I’ve seen of the app is that as of the moment it only has KJV and ESV translations, but I use ESV on the daily so it has been extra beneficial in that regard. Another drawback is the “needs practice feature”, which takes a verse you have already got 100% memorized and turns it red to make to go back and do an activity on that one verse. I understand the idea behind it but I recite these in my head throughout the day and so when I log onto the app at night to learn a new one it’s annoying to see something I went through multiple times in the day “need practice”. Maybe the option to toggle that off would be a good addition, as well as other translations. Otherwise, it’s a great app with easily a 5-Star potential.

I love versify! It has been such a good way to go back to things I was working on. My one issue is when it punishes me for messing up, haha. Of course, the point is to memorize and memorize completely. But also I do not want to treat memorizing scripture like a game, and get upset when I mess up. Specifically because there is times when I simply hit the wrong button (when using type) or I will click the next letter in a word rather the first letter. Because it is pretty unnatural to type the first letter of every word! I just don’t enjoy the feeling when it buzzes and turns red, because it feeling like I am being punished. This is when I type “God sent his spirit” instead of “God has sent his the spirit”. When memorizing scripture those grammar things that change between translations anyway do not feel super important. This is a small thought, otherwise LOVE. I use it almost everyday.
