It’s a great idea and I hope Allah rewards you all for the hard effort and dedication. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review, but I felt this was something that touched me deeply and I really hope to see it flourish in the best way possible.
I admire the diversity and encouragement. I would however like to mention that the Quran should be read in a certain way with very accurate pronunciation and I believe posting certain readers for the sake of diversity although very noble and probably done with pure intentions, does not present the Quran in the way it should be presented. Also I admire the idea of having recordings from old women who have passed away. The quality of these recordings however are very poor and may better serve in a tribute section created for that specific purpose. I am sure there are many talented Female Egyptian readers out there that you can reach out to who would be thrilled to join this project. Last but not least I am not a fan of the recordings for just certain aya’s. I would very much enjoy being able to listen to the whole surah and hopefully one day the whole Quran by a single reader that I connect with if possible.
Again this is meant as constructive criticism and by no means meant to belittle your effort on this very much needed project.

Listening to and reciting Quran has been a source of anxiety for me after years of spiritual trauma. Upon opening Qariah and seeing this seemingly endless list of Qariahs from around the world, I began to cry tears of joy. From the first recitation I heard of Surah Fatiha, I knew that this was the beginning of my journey to healing. Each of the reciters have such beautiful voices Masha Allah. May Allah grant everyone involved in the making of Qariah happiness and comfort in this life, and the highest level of Jannah, and keep us all on the straight path. ❤️❤️❤️

I am so excited for Qariah and it’s release with Ramadan. there are more this app on here than i ever knew!! the only reason i took a star off is because i think a few more features are needed. for example, i’d love to still listen but be able to switch to a different app, like a mushaf app to be able to follow along or if the text is built into Qariah to follow along there. in sha Allah with future iterations of Qariah but i am happy to have access to this level of Qariah as it is. may Allah bless those who created it as well as all the reciters included in Qariah .

Mashallah what a beautiful app! I am completely in awe of the many different female reciters to choose from. It’s amazing to see such an inclusive and female oriented application. It’s easily accessible and kid friendly to use! My only feedback would be if the data base were to grow with more reciters it could be organized by location and alphabetical order.

I’m thrilled to download and share with the world the this app app. For the longest, we have been told that our voices are awrah, that there are no female Quran reciters, that women cannot recite publicly, and the result has been an almost complete separation between how we conceive of the Quran and women’s engagement with it. Now, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Shaykha Maryam Amir, we have an app dedicated to uplifting female Quran reciters, the this app, and women’s voices. الله أكبر🤲🏽

We only ever hear male recitation as they are predominantly pushed in our faces. We never really hear women recitation in our society, and some even say that it is haram to listen to women reciting the Quran, which is extremely crazy! Downloading Qariah is extremely important for our Muslim women and girls today, as it is our representation. Thank you for making Qariah!

My new favorite Quran app! Such a blessing to have this valuable resource especially during the month of Ramadan. I am blown away by the number of women in Qariah! Thank you Maryam for opening the doors to hear the beautiful voices of Muslim Women Quranic reciters from around the world.

Qariah is such a blessing. I appreciate being able to listen to a female this app with my nieces so they can feel inspired in their pursuits of learning Quran. Qariah will get a lot of use from me especially through Ramadan!

Can’t recommend this enough. Such a gamechanger! I’ve been looking for female reciters for years and this is the first time I find any platform that consolidates female qariahs in one place.

It is easy to use, there’s a variety for recitation styles and voices from all over the world, and it is inspiring most of all in connecting with the Quran. May Allah reward you all ❤️

When I was growing up I really wanted to hear women read Quran and give lectures. I’m glad that the new generation is gonna grow up with this😭

Qariah itself is very user friendly. There is so much diversity in reciters, and their voices are all beautiful Mashallah. I highly recommend to all Muslim women!!
