Caset - Playlist Collaboration Reviews

I love the easy way to share and create playlists in Caset , but it’s impossible to rearrange the songs in the mixtapes. I can’t find a reason why this wouldn’t be included. Many of my playlists simply don’t work because they are all put in backwards. I’m giving this 4 stars though because I like the direction that Caset is going in.

This is a good app I’ve been looking for something like this but it needs a CarPlay app. It doesn’t show the songs in CarPlay.

Playlists for some reason play in the reverse order that you add songs and you don’t have the ability to reorder the track list. Got Caset for the sole purpose of collaborating with friends, which it’s great for if you just plan on shuffling.

Downloaded Caset to make walking music, can’t do anything at all without Caset insisting on information to create an account.

Considering the description of “reinventing mixtapes” and then listing options that have been in countless other music apps, I should have assumed it was a bunch of stale features created just so Caset designer can sell user info.

Man I miss the Wall Garden that was Caset Store of Old.

Myself and a few buddies of mine use Caset when we golf. We were looking for an app that allowed us to create a apple playlist together so we all can listen to each others music on a single playlist on different golf carts. When Caset works, it’s a great experience. When it doesn’t, is can cause some frustration.

The issues we are having with Caset is that sometimes it will shut down completely or pause our songs for no reason when checking the time on the Lock Screen or even tapping the screen to awaken it. Our phones are put onto phone holders by Desert Fox so they doesn’t vibrate around everywhere when going to the next out of bounds ball or going over stumps and roots. So from our perspective, it’s not our phones causing this issue. If the this app team can take a look into this as it’s been a minute since the last update, that would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting idea. They’ve found a niche with a hole Apple has yet to enhance, but IMO it’s missing one key functionality.

Not everyone wants to deal with another app. If they merely acted as a connection between 2 or more individuals’ playlists it could be a seamless integration. If I update my mix tape associated playlist it should be pulled into the server and then cascaded across the other users playlists they associated to the group’s mix tape.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I haven’t found that ability yet in Caset. I’d be willing to pay a one time fee for that basic ability. I don’t really need all the extras. I just need a way to receive updates automatically into my playlist(s) and automatically push updates out on my end.

Hi, I downloaded Caset as a way to have a collaborative playlist i tried various other apps and they all sucked until this one. Caset worked perfectly and contrary to what i though was not hard to set up would 100% download Caset to play your playlists. another awesome thing is there premium is not shoved down your throat every 10 seconds and it doesn’t block the apps main function thank you devs great app!

I want to use Caset to help solve the issue of not being able to edit shared playlists in Apple Music. My wife and I share playlists, but whomever receives the share can’t add to it. This is a ridiculous Apple limitation, and I’m hoping this solves it. Developer was very quick to respond to feature request idea. Looking forward to using this more.

Love Caset and integration with Apple Music. Use it daily, but the Shuffle feature stopped working about a week ago and Caset wants to play the songs in order based off however they are sorted. Shuffle feature is a must-have.

Definitely the best and easiest way to sync Apple Music playlists with your friends.

The developer is also crazy responsive, often answering within minutes providing support when I have issues or questions.

10/10 recommend.

When I saw Caset, it looked great. So, I downloaded it, but it is useless to me because of this: if you have an Apple ID that is under 13, you cannot use Caset . Why? Because you cannot create an account without using an Apple ID, and you cannot create an account using an under 13 Apple ID. This could be easily solved with adding an alternative sign up method such as email or phone number, but until that happens, Caset is completely useless.

The new sync feature, which requires a subscription, doesn’t actually sync playlists with Apple Music. this app support indicated it wasn’t possible for a 3rd party to remove songs from a playlist. Adding songs seems to work just fine, which is why I gave 3-stars even though I felt a bit mislead about the full sync capability.

Caset makes sharing music with my friends sooo much easier. And so much more fun! Didn’t know I needed Caset until I downloaded it. Def worth it! I’m beyond happy with it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone that wants to simply share music.

The age rating says 4+. Signed up for pro to create a family playlist, but no one under 13 can use Caset at all because the only way to sign in is with your Apple ID. Apple prevents anyone under 13 from signing into apps using Apple ID and there isn’t another way to sign in. Why isn’t there another way to sign in?

So happy to update this review with the addition of syncing. Great that the dev is so responsive and happy to support this now indispensable app for Apple Music users!

I’ve been using Caset for a few months now without complain, but a few days ago a mixtape I’ve been collaborating on with a friend has become inaccessible and only displays “decoding error” when I try to open it. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Slow plus shuffle doesn’t seem to work properly, playlist is over 300 songs

Cool but won’t always let me shuffle and I have literally tried to purchase pro but it won’t let me. I am trying to give Caset money but I just get an indefinitely loading screen

The concept is good, but even basic features like shuffle don’t work correctly

A key feature is missing: The ability to manually rearrange the songs in the playlist. I saw in a previous review that the developer said it was coming in v1.3 but it looks like it did not make it to the update. I can’t imagine why you don’t have this feature.
