Potential players avert thy eyes. Quick leave before you think “All these reviews the game can’t be that bad.” Right now? IT IS! Hard to level in a relationship when you need between 9-17 diamonds to pick a good option and get good points. Some you don’t even level if you don’t pick them. Watch ads the support team says, 40 sec ad and you get one. After a certain time you cannot see more for ages. Only way is HAVE O BUY. Now they say it’s more to come, won’t be like that forever. Well I am not deleting, just going to take a few months off to watch videos so I can chat with the matches. Or I’ll return when they have between options on getting the diamonds, prices, or choices and leveling.

1 star because I think the amount of diamonds for everything is absurd. You have to either pay money or watch so many adds for 1 diamond each. I have to stop talking to matches when we get dates because I have to save up to get a good outfit. Another thing is that the characters do not look like their profile pictures on dates barely at all. They look like entire different people. I also would like to bring up how there’s no gender inclusivity in this game at all. I was a bit thrown back at how their was only a woman option. I wish that there were storylines for men and non-binary people as well. The dialogue when matched up with certain people can be very cringe to say the least. My first matches dialogue almost made me delete MyEscape . Definitely worth 1 star.

Hi to whoever is reading this but don’t waste your time with this game. The “developer” of this game just took everything off of Chapters by Crazy Maple Studio.
They’ll probably reply saying that they are a part of Crazy Maple Studio but that’s a lie. Their developer name in MyEscape Store is different than the official developer. If you click on their name only this game shows up and there should be others (Crazy Maple Studios has a few other games on their developer page). If this was a new app put out by Crazy Maple Studio they would have released it under their own App Store page. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ON MyEscape! Go to the official Chapters game and download that if you want to enjoy the stories!

I downloaded the game, started setting up my profile, and immediately deleted it. This was due to the lack of options for character choice. All of them were designed to be women, and they all looked relatively similar. In short, there were VERY limited options. As a gay man, I downloaded this game as I do with every game like this that I see- because every time, there’s no options to be men. So I always download to see if there is. Later, my friend informed me that there is two stories in which you can be a gay man, but they’re deeper in MyEscape . The lack of choice upon the start of the game is very limiting to players and I’m sure there’s many others who also were dissuaded from playing the game due to this. If you just made all the interactions gender neutral and had the option to be a masculine or feminine character, a lot more people would play the game.

I took a few steps to pick my avatar and profile info. Easy enough. Then it popped up with a new account free diamond offer. But it did not add any. It literally said "gift of zero". So I started off with no diamonds. Swiping goes okay, start a convo and I'm immediately inundated with notifications about "not missing chances". Okay. Self explanatory. Except it KEEPS happening. That reminder box pops every few sentences. Then it continued to interrupt me on the date to remind me to choose upgraded options. I have to pay diamonds to talk. Diamonds to choose a cute outfit. Diamonds to choose anything to move the story forward unless you want to be rude. I lost interest. Good concept, not executed well.

I will say that I liked it better than Mechat because it is still female oriented. A lot of these apps made their characters bisexual, which is fine. But they also took pronouns out which is not okay. You want to include others, include them by giving the option to choose pronouns. Don't just make everything say "they" then alienate everyone else.

New matches show up and when I swipe right on them it doesn’t work! Why!? I try to refresh to find them again but they’re gone forever and the same old matches show up. Can y’all please fix this!? Why even send me new matches if swiping right is broken? May uninstall if this keeps happening…at least MeChat let’s you know that some matches cost money. If this is the case please at least let us know if they cost. Literally NONE the new matches you created work when swiping right!

With every other story game there is a daily prize option or something for the people that honestly can’t afford to spend money on gems. The options if not using gems are rude, and part of the fun is being invested in the stories. Completing chapters, daily gems, you have to add something to make it worth it to keep playing. Even if you are rude in one story to get gems for the stories you care about. I love the story line, but I stopped playing because it costs a lot of gems and there is no way but real money to replenish them. I think with options this would probably be my favorite storyline game.

Hi! I absolutely love MyEscape and the stories but waiting two hours for only one ticket then being capped off at two tickets is horrible! I get into a story and I can’t even read anymore of it because I’m capped off and I can’t afford the high prices for the tickets! I think doing thirty minutes until the next ticket and having five max at a time would be the best and there would be many more happy players! I personally know many people who have gotten MyEscape fell in love with a story then got rid of it because they couldn’t ready anymore of it because of the long wait and only having two tickets at a time. Like I said I absolutely love this game but there needs to be improvements if you want more users. I personally am one who is about ready to get rid of MyEscape because of this.

Edit: I took away another star because lately I’ve had the issue of the timer for the two hours not starting until I open MyEscape . I always wake up to two tickets ready to go but for the past three days every time I go into MyEscape I have no tickets at all and the timer then start’s. It’s extremely annoying when we already only get two tickets and it takes two hours to get another.

MyEscape to me is a knockoff of Chapters and Episode just kinda worse. MyEscape sometimes just breaks all together and I can’t play for the next 2 days or so. Also everything is so expensive in the story’s and I shouldn’t have to speak 2 dollars just for 20 diamonds (at least one option is 17 diamonds sometimes 12). It’s a ripoff just go get Chapters or Episodes. It’s my honest opinion sometimes you can even see other people complaining about the price when you look on the story’s chat. But the bright side is they have warnings on the books to inform you what triggering things are in the book. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the books are nice to read and they are starting to post more books to read.

To begin, this game has a lot of potential, but only getting ONE gem a day for free and then having to watching ads for only one gem is insane. When answers cost anywhere between 7-24 gems and I can only get so few at a time. I wait all day to even answer a text. I liked it when we got more daily gems and it made it more exciting and enjoyable.
Another issue is how often gems are required for a conversation. Going only a few texts in and having to pay 14 gems to continue. And when you do decided to use them, you have to do it again a few more texts in. This game has a lot of potential but I’m not even tempted to buy the gems with the prices and how low the amount of gems you’re getting.

This game is okay but cost too much, they’ll give you about 20 diamonds off rip but options cost 12 or 17 diamonds. It can also be a challenge to get diamonds for chatting so you’ll most likely have to buy them. I would be okay with this, a little annoyed but okay with it if you didn’t NEED the diamonds. You need diamonds to pick cute outfits, make good decisions, and most of all you need diamonds to be a nice person which make me mad. If you don’t have diamonds you respond in rude ways. An example that was in the game would be how someone was telling me about their sad, horrible past and asked if I wanted them to continue, I didn’t have diamonds but I needed the diamonds to answer yes, the free option however was “no, screw you👎🏽” which is not fair. Just go play me chat of some other game, this game isn’t worth it.

I really liked this game and seriously enjoyed the experience and would like to engage much more. I would be all over MyEscape but the prices are absolutely insane. It makes better business sense to offer this game at prices people can actually afford. Taking the business model of an affordable monthly subscription with REASONABLE prices on things like diamonds would make more sense fiscally. Maybe most users will read a story or two but will inevitably look somewhere else. Eventually there will be no more people left to squeeze and the apps reputation will eventually catch up to the creators until the inevitable. It’s short sided, unfair to the users and everyone loses. I am writing this as I look for other apps to replace this one. It made for a real bad user experience that makes me want to never come back after feeling like the creators tried to scam me. So I’m gone and taking my money elsewhere. Take it or leave it…whatever

i love the game but i only have 4 avatars to pick from and i think that this game is VERY idk there is a lot of discrimination because its only female avatars and im trans (ftm) and i want male characters androgynous characters and the ability to choose your pronouns and what words (handsom or pretty, person, etc.) you prefer. also you need to add a way to choose who you are into like if your gay or omni

ALSO this games only good options cost gems and there are WAY TOO MANY pop ups and we definitely need more ways to get gems. But the most important thing is more characters need to be added!!

I would give MyEscape 5 stars. It is very entertaining, and I love the immersion, but it has technical limitations. This game is very “Gatcha” in character insomuch that the Dimond purchase system is flawed. - You pay far more for access on MyEscape rather than variety and that irritates me so much that I wanna block the creator. For that, it lost one star. - The second star lost was because MyEscape glitches or freezes. It’s content overloaded and needs more storage or memory space to maintain all those multiple choice dating stories.

This is a borderline scam

The stories r cute, what you wld expect from an app like this. I wld say the choices need to be much *M U C H* less. 17 diamonds per choice for the most innocent and obvious choices to get the story going…. It’s annoying. Make the free videos worth more than 1 Diamond too. Wld be much more likely to continue to read/play if the choices were a lot less. Can find another app w stories that are just like these w the peel of it’s way less for the choices, and also have more options of making free diamonds.

I don’t have any problems with the story until you get to a “date.” Every thine the sense changes it tells me there is a connection error (I’m on a very strong Wi-Fi and that is not the problem) I then have to close and reopen MyEscape and half the time that doesn’t fix the problem. There a couple “dates” I cant see because there is always a connection problem. Other then that it is a good concept of a game.

I hate the fact that I have to watch an 30-40 sec ad just to get 1 gem??((and I don’t really want to spend money)) So At this rate I’m never gonna finish my story I’m reading ((which I love)) and maybe even dropping it altogether. Which is sad because this game has potential to be a great dating sim game. Oh, and let me say I’m OKAY watching ads but please give more gems that is worth watching a 30-40 seconds ads for, so maybe 5 gems for every ad?

This is a great game the only problem is that I don’t know how long it takes to get more dates with the guys. I finished Sebastian’s date and I am waiting to get another date. I have been waiting for 2-3 weeks and he is still under development. That is the only problem I have other than this the game is great.

I was immediately hooked on the gameplay and the storyline. The graphics were amazing and the controls were easy to use. I found myself playing it for hours on end, completely immersed in the world of the game.

What I love about it is that it's not just a mindless shooter or a repetitive puzzle game. It's a combination of both, with a deep and engaging story that keeps me invested in the characters and the world.

I also appreciate the fact that it's not a pay-to-win game. I've played so many games where you have to constantly spend money to progress, but not with this one. You can earn everything you need through gameplay, which makes it all the more rewarding.

Overall, I'm so glad I decided to give this game a chance. It's become one of my favorites and I can't wait to see what new updates and content they come out with in the future.

ALSO !! some of the choices need to me less expensive with diamonds :(( bc sometimes i don’t have enough diamonds because i don’t know where to get them except when i sign in or something.. , so maybe improve that so more people can enjoy this game too !:) and again i like this game a lot!
