It’s a cute game, but very boring. The process of making anything for the house is impossibly slow (would take days to make small furniture), unless you purchase upgrades. Since the number/type of furniture in the house is what gets cats to come to the house, making the furniture is necessary. There’s also no “game” to play to get more materials to build furniture, it’s just waiting. It also takes an hour + to make anything, and you can only make 1-2 things at a time, so again- you’re just waiting. Since the only “game” is actually building furniture for the cats, there’s literally nothing to do while you’re waiting for materials or building something. Will be deleting SecretCatForest since it’s so boring. Wish they had some “matching” game etc. to speed up the process or get more materials, because then you’d have SOMETHING to do.

Cute graphics and animations, soothing music, and the ads are not intrusive or really needed unless you want to progress faster (usually by doubling the rewards you get) - noting like soup&cats which basically forced you to watch nonstop ads. Fishing is mellow and easy to do. The pace for the game is quite slow and meant to play for like 2-5 minutes at a time multiple times per day. They have themed event items you can buy with the wood and there’s other items and buffs you can pay for, which are not expensive.
So it got very boring for me in less than a week. There just isn’t that much to do other than check in and see what cats are there, do a bit of fishing, and watch an add for the lumberjack. They also recycled the same cat design and sounds for several of the cats. I ended up uninstalling because SecretCatForest felt pointless. Pretty decent app otherwise.

I would’ve given this 5 stars if it didn’t require so much wood just to get furniture. That makes the game stress-inducing and, therefore not nearly as enjoyable and relaxing as the developers claim this game to be.

Developers: decrease the wood/resource requirements or you’ll drive people away. I’m about done. Takes too much time, too much wood harvesting, and too many disturbing misogynistic game ads to sit through just to get a few pieces of wood. Like, why all these babies/mamas out in the snow while their baby daddies are dallying elsewhere. How is showing is that — on the middle of what’s supposed to be a relaxing game—relaxing. Actually, I’m lowering my score to 3 now, just thinking about those disgusting game ads.

This game WAS relaxing and enjoyable. The kitties and animations were adorable. And then I got to the basement level where there is a cucumber and the animation is a scared cat. This viral sensation of putting a cucumber behind your cat when they’re eating to scare them is cruel and causes behavioral issues. It’s not a joke and it’s a horrible thing to do to your cat just to get some views on social media. Look up what Jackson Galaxy, the cat daddy, says about how this harms your cat and please don’t do it.

Otherwise! I have enjoyed this game very much. You can watch ads if you want but aren’t forced into it. It’s relaxing and has nice background music. The developers are very responsive with a small issue I had.

5 stars if you delete the cucumber. The cucumber prank really needs to go away.

I overall enjoy playing this game - as another reviewer mentioned, I adore the slow pace which is not heavily monetized with ads or designed for spending hours of play. Thank you for this ❤️❤️❤️ it’s also really hard to find apps which don’t collect personal data (either via App Store permissions or a privacy policy wall after getting hopes up and downloading it) and I really appreciate that SecretCatForest minimally collects data. You’re amazing 🤗

I would say, it is appropriative to have a tipi item for purchase in the game. Please create a different design for a cat tent which doesn’t appropriate Indigenous cultures. ❤️

I absolutely love this game. All the cats are so cute and all the furniture is adorable. I wish it was easier to get the supplies to upgrade your fishing hook as you can only get them from Kitty gifts and that takes a bit too long so yeah. But other than that, this is my favorite game and I love it. PS I think it would be really cool if you could have friends in this game. Like if one of your peers was playing this game you could friend them and then invite them over to your house. I also think it would be cool if you could like play with the cats. Like once you get all the intimacy levels. For example if you have maxed out Tushie’s intimacy level then a little button pops up in the Archive next to Tushie. And whenever Tushie comes over, you can click on the button and then like play with him or feed him or scratch him or something. I also think it would be cool if you could like adopt the cats. So once you max out their intimacy a little adopt button appears next to their archive profile and then they would always be at your house. They would move of course so that they didn’t take up the space of other cats but like yeah. Love the game and everything about it. Good job! ❤️

I was recommended this game by my mom and now I can’t stop checking in on my cats every few hours! The art style as so cute. The watercolor is really accurate to real life watercolor. I liked that you added pictures of the cats you based them of off in the game. I kinda grew up more with cats so I can see why this game stuck with me. If you ever want to add cats to the game there’s a cat I have. His name is Escher, like the painter, he is a black tuxedo cat with a little white bit of fur on his chest in a upside down triangle. His ears are perky so he never has them down. He loves corners of beds and is able to open doors with door handles. But anyway this game is a 10/10 in my books!

this game is adorable! you fish in the lake to feed the kitties that visit you, you collect wood from the infinity tree to build furniture for the cats, and you get gifts! you can level up the fishing pole to get prizes more often from them, and upgrade the infinity tree to grow wood faster! which i love.
i love that this game doesnt require you to play it for a long amount of time (although, i do). you collect the wood, fish when your inventory runs out, and build furniture!
theres a book full of each cat that visits you! and sometimes real pictures of the cat, which i find adorableeee!!

the only thing i would suggest, when upgrading the tree, the amount of wood should increase too, not just the time. some of the furniture is really “expensive” and it takes me such a long time to get the right amount. and even after i buy the high priced item, i have to wait a long time in between to get another one.
like when you fish, one fish is worth four (or five or so on when you upgrade the pole), so why is the wood only worth ONE?
although, i like that we’re given the option to watch a short ad for double the wood. but i still wish one piece of wood was worth more.

I love this game, I’ve been playing it for a while and I love all the cats. But, I think it could use some improvement. For example, I think it is too hard to get sticks to save for an expensive piece of furniture. I have been saving for a latter for a while and I found a box in the river. I watched an add so I could get two piles of sticks and two umbrella pieces. After watching the video, I only got two sticks and not even one umbrella piece. This bug is something you could fix. Other wise you should one hundred percent download this game. The kittens are adorable and the way the game is formatted keeps you from wasting your day playing a game. By this I mean that you won’t play the whole day. Also it doesn’t get frustrating like games with levels can.

I’m telling you right now that this is THE cat game ever. It’s adorable and relaxing, the gameplay is simple and easy to follow, and if you don’t have the time to seriously invest in a game on your phone, this is the game for you. The cats will visit when you don’t have SecretCatForest open, so you can play for a few minutes and then come back hours later. It’s aesthetically pleasing, and the tutorial isn’t agonizingly long or hand hold-ey, like, yk those games where you download them and the tutorial can last for forever, even when you have enough of a handle on the game where you can figure it out yourself? This game doesn’t do that! The cats are adorable, and the best part— NO ADS. Like okay, you’re gonna have the area where you can watch something to, say, double your daily reward/the boxes you find in the river, or get wood offline, but you’re NEVER interrupted by ads.

And take it from a teenager with ADHD who’s played almost every game on the market to try and keep himself entertained. THIS GAME IS SO WORTH IT. One of the best I’ve played.

I gotta admit, I download a ton of game apps. Most hold my attention for a bit but that doesn’t usually last a very long time with the exception of a few. This game though very quickly wormed it’s way into my heart and is now my top favorite app I’ve ever downloaded. This one is a total keeper. Super cute, very relaxing and while it’s mostly a passive/idle game, there is always enough there to keep me checking in on SecretCatForest throughout the day collecting wood and fishies. The music is wonderfully calming and pretty and the graphics are absolutely adorable! Please keep the updates coming and thank you so much for making it! SecretCatForest has helped me immensely when feeling stressed or sad and never fails to put a smile on my face when I tap on the kitties!

This game is amazing and I only just started. I love the speed in which this games goes in, it's not too fast or too slow. It makes you feel relaxed, and can give you something to look forward to when doing something else. Sadly, I'm not the type of person to wait for a cat to appear, I'd be staring at the game when nothing is happening. I think it'd be a good idea to add a little animation when cats are going to appear soon, like a bush shaking, or maybe some eyes peeping, so that players like me will know to exit SecretCatForest . It'll keep the idea that the kitties are cautious, and don't want to come out when we're looking, but it'll let us know if we're being too impatient.

I love this game. It’s similar to Neko Atsume, but there’s so much more to do. It’s a casual “game” and you won’t be playing much of anything; you’ll gather resources that help you build furniture, to help attract new cats that you can get to know over time. There’s a bunch of other little elements and things to the game that make it charming, the music is calming and it is visually appealing with soft graphics. There’s little/no ads from what I’ve experienced, except for the ones you consent to click on in the item shop for more goods. It’s 100% free to play, I’ve not spent money at all since downloading. I might make a purchase just to thank the developers for creating such a cute game <3

I love secret cat forest it’s very claiming and very fun too!Things I love about this game is the fact it don’t include money OR i don’t think it has ads I’ve never had a ad before so that’s a plus lol. I think a lot of people should get this game and yes it may take awhile for the furniture to build it’s ok it basically feels like it only been 4 hours! And they’re is soooo many things I love about this game the cats are so cute! And I also love the fact the cats have clothes (they cost my whole bank account 💀)uhm anywayyy lol and they have really cute actions I don’t see why someone would hate it!but that’s why I gave it a five star review!❤️

I love everything about this game. The soundtrack is beautiful and peaceful. The art is lovely, and the cat animations are very cute. Sometimes it starts raining in the game world, and both animation and sound are soothing and pleasing.

The progression is nicely balanced. I don’t feel that I *have* to pay money or even watch ads to get ahead, but the bonuses from watching ads (double rewards or collection bonuses) are nice, and well-worth the ads. I always choose to watch the ads, because SecretCatForest is very well done, and I want to support the developer. I’m considering some of the in-app purchases for the same reason (which I believe to merely be cosmetic, or extra resources).

All-in-all, a soothing, enjoyable game that I definitely recommend!

I first started playing this when i saw many adds now im adicted (sorry for bad gramer) i i showed my mom this game a she is adicted too! She is whay better them me cuz i have to go to school and she is a teacher so she has more time to play and I love all the cats. They’re so cute and my mom soon going to be done soon and I decided I would research to see what happen when you get all of the furniture and I found out you have to get the secret item (gold) in the pond, I’m pretty sure you fish and it’s 10:15. so in the morning I’ll show her and I can’t wait to move onto the other areas because it looks so cool like the outdoor area. I really want to do that but I guess we’ll have to wait. Thank you for such an amazing game this game has happiness and has even helped me calm down when I was stressed

I've only had this game for a week, but I'm in LOVE with it. The cats are so cute and have designs that were obviously given a lot of effort. There's no interrupting ads or obnoxious attempts to make you spend money. While there are idle features, they're minimal, so you actually get to PLAY the game often. It's easy to get the resources you need. There's options for the furniture, so you have some freedom to customize your space. Trying to find all the cats is fun, it doesn't feel like a chore. I love how some of them are based on real cats! While the game's simplicity on the surface concerned me, it's actually one of my favorite free mobile of all time.

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. It’s easy to get lost in, but you have to leave SecretCatForest for cats to come and visit which helps me regulate the amount of time I spend on the game. It’s adorable, the animations are absolutely precious, and the sounds are tranquil! I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys fixating on a certain game for an extended period of time.

My only suggestions/recommendations ~

• it takes an incredibly large amount of time to accumulate wood. (which is used to purchase just about everything) I feel SecretCatForest itself would benefit if the upgrades were easier to come by so we could acquire items faster.

• not all cats have an animation when you tap on them… which I found so sad!!

• adding a skip option to lower the times of building would be an incredible idea!! Perhaps it could tie into the ad skips.

• !!adding new cats!! The selection is great!! But, I think adding a new cat (or maybe even furniture selection) every week or so would keep a lot more people entertained with SecretCatForest for longer.

Overall, this is an amazing game and I already love it so much. I cant wait to see it grow! <3

The game is very easy to love with it’s charming sense of decorating a cute cottage in a pretty forest, then cats’ start to come over and play with you! Collecting things and such can also make it a fun and easy simple game! It’s very calming with it’s slow passed attitude, and I just adore that! But it’s missing something that another one of my favorite app games has called “Cat’s and soup” a yet again slow passed calming simple cat game about cooking! The thing about that game is that it have EVENTS.

Events are very fun cause for example, you could make a Christmas event with special limited time decor, which appears again next Christmas. Which would add a bunch of happiness to me! If you could maybe add that sometime I would be very VERY

I’ve been playing “Secret Cat Forest” for two weeks now, and I absolutely LOVE this game! In the past I remember downloading SecretCatForest but I wasn’t able to progress far because of device-borrowing difficulties, uninstalled it, and found it again! The kitties are super cute, and the choices and furniture is so unique, made so that you can choose your own aesthetic and also watch the cats come into the cottage and rest, eat, sleep, play, and leave for a while before coming back again! You can collect wood from the Infinity Tree and craft furniture, and catch fish in the river. The daily gifts consist of wood bundles and a “whiskers” every week, and you can craft amazing items with the whiskers. The game is made with smooth graphics, no pop-up ads, and amazingly cute kitties! Purrfect for cat lovers and addicted gamers alike.

Reviewer’s Note: It can take a while to progress, so be patient!!
Also, internet isn’t required to play the game <3

I don’t want this to be too long because this is just an overall good game of building a nice house in a forest where cats come to visit. Adorable graphics and there’s also this really cute thing where you can get little pictures saved and shared to your friends. It’s just so adorable. I am in love with this game. I showed my mom this game and she absolutely fell in. Love with it in the thing is once you unlock the ladder. You get access to a whole Nother room and it’s really fun to decorate 10 out of 10 would recommend. and once you get through the house, there is a camping site and after the camping site, there's a beach well I'm guessing I'm only on the camping site, but this is the best game EVER! (Unlike Luella, who decided to go be best friends with someone else because I didn't want her to be disrespectful to me.) best game ever and if games could win Oscars this one deserves to win 10

I have been playing for around 6 months now. Which is insane considering I usually get quite sick of games within a month or two. I love decorating the house, collecting the Pieces to make the small mystery items, getting new cats, and even the fishing is so relaxing and fun. I’m always so excited to finish a room and unlock a new part of the house !

My only issue is that over time it gets quite hard to save up on sticks, I wish there were more upgrades to the tree bc at this point it takes me over a week to save up to build one small item.

Overall love the game tho and can’t see myself stopping for awhile.

Absolutely love SecretCatForest, very relaxing and can’t help but love all the kitties! I hope there is more coming for this. I would like to have more interaction with the environment, able to see more of the yard, maybe plant a garden, as well as have more interaction with the cats too. It would be fun to have the capability of moving the furniture around or see butterflies up close.
In reality I have 4 cats 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 🐈‍⬛ they have toys everywhere with 2 cat trees and 5 huge litter boxes. I find it humorous that I spend the first part of my morning caring for my 4 then hoping on SecretCatForest to tend to my virtual kitties. thank you for creating SecretCatForest sending much love and good vibes.

I like this game! The description is accurate. This game is very peaceful and enjoyable to play! The art style is very appealing to the eye. And the concept is oh so very cute. You start out with a very cottage type house. It’s empty. You fish and collect tree branches to craft items to decorate with. Then cats will come to your little house! Your goal is to fill out blanks in a cat collection book and try to attract cats. The background music gives an very peaceful feel. What I think would make this game even cuter is if you could interact with the cats. Feed them treats you collect, maybe pet them. Just a suggestion. But so far I am really enjoying the game..

Let me just set the facts straight; I LOVE this game. Secret Cat Forest is one of the gems in the world of mobile gaming, and if you’re considering getting it, PLEASE DO. There’s almost no ads, there’s amazing cute cats, and multiple areas to decorate for you and your kittens! In the early game, it is absolutely purrfect (see what I did there?), but the only problem is in the late game when everything costs so much wood to build. The cat tree is something that is essential to the early game, but when everything costs 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000 wood to build in the late game, it pretty much becomes useless (you get 45 wood every harvest when fully upgraded). Some more upgrades to the tree would make it much more beneficial to the players who mostly scrape wood from ads and redemption codes. Thank you for reading! 5 stars out of 5!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER!!! There are millions of cats to find with fun abilities! Everything is so pretty and fun! But I have a suggestion, whenever I’m tired of waiting for cats, don’t want to do something else, and don’t want to craft items or collect fish and wood, I would like to play games with cats I already have, such as Oreo. (probably the first one you’ll meet) So you would go into the book where you see your cats, and then you would see a gaming controller button, click on it, and play games with your cat. I’ve been playing for a few days now, even got my fiance into playing and he loves it. The graphics are beautiful and it’s so relaxing. The rain sounds are so comforting. The only thing I ask, is please please please add more features! (Like swiping different directions to do more things like play with the cats or pet them etc) I love this game so much I just wish there was more to do. I like that it’s the type of game you can just check in on here and there, however I think it’d be really cool to add features that allow you to play longer at a time. These type of games help me fall asleep at night/relax after a stressful day. I really hope to see more added! Beautifully made game! :)

This game is the best! It’s so cute and relaxing. I love the little animations for the cats and the music is so soothing, the mechanics are easy enough but there’s enough in the game to keep you busy for a while(truth be told I haven’t finished the game) I love playing it when I’m stressed and it totally calms me down, so if you’re looking for a relaxing, cute little game that is simple but not boring, this is perfect!

But there are a couple things I wanna suggest. So first of all, I feel like as you progress in the game collecting fish becomes a real issue because each fish in the pond is only 5 fish and you can have let’s say 200 fish to fill, so I think you should add an option to upgrade your fish value with wood or other items.
Now second, I think you should add a button to close your house and not let cats enter so you can build or collect fish without having your cats eat them at the same time.

And that’s it! Overall this game is amazing Thank you for reading my review! =^^=

This game scratches every itch Neko Atsume does, but with mechanics that make it slightly more engaging. You actually need to catch the food for the cats (just a little tap and hold “skill check” thing) and the wood needed to craft new decorations to attract more kitties! They still sometimes leave you gifts which give you bonus resources, so it’s slightly slower paced than atsume but it’s cottage core and adorable. What’s even cuter is some cats actually have profile pictures of real kitties you can look at! Definitely keeping this game for a long while, and I’m honestly surprised I haven’t heard of it before now.

I mean honesty be truth I recently saw an ad of this game. I told myself I’ll give it a try and if I don’t like it I can delete it anytime. I just love how the game is, the kitties hanging secret forest. It’s crazy. I actually told my siblings about the game and they actually like it as well. I mentioned to my younger sibling and she very well told me that she told her friends from school, and online. It’s crazy! This game is smoothing and helps my anxiety to keep calm. I actually have cats of my own. I have two. One name is Shadow and Toga. I love animals! I appreciate this game and I recommend other people to play the game. It can be anyone.

I just found SecretCatForest two days ago, and it is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. It’s so pretty and the music is beautiful and relaxing. I’ve been just leaving it on so I can listen to it as well as look at the beautiful tree. And I love catching fish for the kitties, plus getting wood to make them things. The fun of wondering which cats will show up next is really sweet, and I just love how when you click on them they have a little meow! 😊
I’m totally in love with this game, and I just had to post. Thanks for making this beautiful little game—it’s just what I needed right now.

So um this is the other review I wrote for the game so the is the other stuff. The ads for the game is so cool and cute at the same time its like, “Hey you can you be my houman “.and thats is y I actually got the game. The g i fs, Ok so idk if i said this already but im telling it anyway. So when i get on the gam I ALWAYS check fo g i fs and half of the time i get them, and when i say “g i fs” i mean when you click (inhale) on them you see the cat do somthing. Ok so my i pad is about to die so i need to get off of there sooo byeeeeee -me again 😺

Ps-Suggestion you should make it to when double click on a cat you can play with it

I can’t remember how I stumbled on this game, but I’m glad I did. I started playing it to help me relax when my mom was in the hospital. It helped calm my mind and give me something soothing to play. It’s visually lovely and enjoyable to play.
The only suggestion I’d make to the game creators would be to shorten the furniture making time. Waiting for such long hours for things to be created is kind of a bummer.
Not a deal breaker though, I still love to play.
I hope you continue to add new cats and scenes to explore so I can play forever! ☺️

I like this game and unlike most apps seeing people do things dumb or it not being like SecretCatForest at all this games add is just cats on the screen telling you to play I like this game because it is relaxing just picking up fish and taking out sticks it might seem simple,but that’s what I like about the game! I like choosing to watch the ads like in this game because I hate pop up ads. this game is good 👍 love being able to see cute cats in real life and as cartoons! The game is great but can you add a new a new cat named spider who is black and loves to explore. :) hope you respond! —-

I rarely write reviews but this game is amazing. It’s very stress relieving, all you really have to do (nothing to keep track of) is fish and tap the tree, but doesn’t grow old because of the challenge of attracting the kitties (which, might I add, are adorable, amazing artwork!) and there is still a goal you can work towards—namely, saving enough wood to get an item or furniture. Also, maybe this is the inner author/daydreamer coming out in me, but it’s very fun to imagine your own backstory to the game instead of one being supplied…

I have downloaded this game a few weeks ago and it's really cute I already got a lot of cats and I turned on notifications. (ideas for new updates) a new cat called berry and will need to be summoned with the a new furniture called the berry basket and will be used for second floor of the house and the cats breed can be a Persian. (The cost of the item will be 1637 wood) and the animation for the cats will be eating the Berry's from the basket. The accessories can be any kind you choose I hope you like this idea.
