This is quite literally the worst app I’ve ever used. This app is supposed to be used to help me better protect my son but it works maybe 10% of the time. I have actually had this Owlet Camera for 2 years. I have loved this camera and it’s worked perfectly as a baby monitor because I can keep an eye on my son all night. However, in December 2021 they changed over from the original Owlet up to this new Owlet Dream app that is completely awful. I have so many issues with it. It never connects to the camera, it constantly loads, it constantly disconnects from the camera so I have to go the whole night without it and wait till the next day when I can re-sync. Half the time it loses connection to the camera in the middle of the night and it’s off for the whole night. Usually I don’t realize that it’s not working until it’s time to put my son to bed and then I’m trying to be on the phone with customer service, who can’t get it work either, while my son is tired and cranky and ready to go to bed and it’s terrible. I had no issues until it switched to this new app. Now I have to go to the actual camera and leave a review on there saying don’t waste your money on this because the app is the only way to view what’s being displayed by this camera and the app doesn’t work EVER!!!

I know they just came out with the new app but i preferred the old one. It’s our baby monitor but the app frequently just forces closed so it makes me nervous while I’m sleeping that it’ll close and i won’t hear my baby right away. The camera feed has also been frozen a few times without me noticing because i thought my baby was just sleeping. Also i liked that on the old app when you put the camera feed full screen it would still show the heart rate which lets me know if my baby is starting to wake up and if he was in a deep sleep yet, this one doesn’t do that so you have to keep the camera feed small if you wanna see the heart rate. I really hope they update and fix the little bugs and i would really love the heart rate on the full screen camera feed! Also please get rid of the pop up notifications! I know when he’s sleeping peacefully or awake. But now i just have to get up and hit the button so i can see the monitor! That was just a poor design. Also it’s a sleep quality app but it doesn’t let you see what time it was when the baby wakes up like the old app? I’m sleep deprived and can’t remember how often or what time my baby woke up and really liked that on the old app.

I would absolutely give this app zero stars if I could. We have had nothing but issues with the entire owner system since we spent the hundreds of dollars purchasing it. I absolutely thought I was doing one of the best things I could as a parent by investing in this system, but the problem is that it basically never works. We tried and tried for months to get the sock to work, but eventually just gave up because 95% of the time it would say my son was wiggling when he was most definitely passed out and not moving at all. The camera system is garbage, honestly. The sound cuts out constantly and probably three to four times week, I have to unplug and replug the camera back in to get it to work. The hardware is terrible, but the software in the app is by far the worst. It crashes all of the time, the sound cuts out more often than not, and like right now, the video display wont even work. No matter how many times we troubleshoot, it’s just a mess. I am so extremely disappointed that we ever purchased the owlet system.
