4.6 out of 5
Outdated version, badly needs update.

Uses a very old version, the newer versions on of pc is a lot more different and even misses some content (ie: visiting gasom), this older version’s story structure is also different than the new ones on pc so you are out of luck as a new player if you want to use many of the useful this app guides that are based on the newer versions.

Game itself is great but the state of the game on iOS and mobile is a lacklustre and has been for quite the time, when the game is updated, I will happily return and update review to 5 stars.

Terrible End Game

It’s an interesting game that gives a firsthand look at how complicated it is to run a country, especially one this broken. At first, I was delighted with the decision making and chess style politics, but the ending is usually the same and straight out ridiculous. Unless you’re completely militaristic and kissing up to your bald general, you’re going to get coup by the military. I fixed the economy, kept us out of war, made strong alliances and improved my citizens’ way of life, all for what? I expected this result if I was a dictator and filled my pockets with money, but you shouldn’t get such a horrible ending for improving the nation and giving the people what they truly need. Everything is already stacked against you without the trash ending being so common. It doesn’t help that skipping the dialogue isn’t an option, good luck going back and spending 50+ hours just to choose a different ending.

The app is free, but the game is $3.99

It’s not a free game. It’s a trial that gives about 30 minutes of story before cutting you off before you know any consequences of the decisions you made in that first 30 minutes. I first thought the “full game” version was just some features that were locked like other apps do, but instead it’s just the entire game.

Was a decent intro and seems like it would be enjoyable, but I was sold on it being a free game with some features locked. Not it being $3.99 game

Games like these should just market themselves as the actual price for the game rather than lying as saying it’s “free”. It’s a slap in the face every time I get hit with something like this. Feels like all I’ve been used for is just add to “the download number” for Suzerain to use as promotions or bump up in Suzerain Store once I see that pop up come up. It’s disrespectful to the customer to do this

Get this game.

This game. I am here to tell you, it is not without faults and can certainly be improved, but if the concept of playing Game of Thrones in the pseudo-equivalent of running an Eastern European state during the cold war sounds interesting to you—then look no further. My only complaint is that I wish the community was bigger for it online, but that’s not the developer’s fault at all. I would put this up there as one of the best RPG games I have played in the last 2/3 years with no limitations on the console. Would HIGHLY recommend if this is your niche.

Good game on desktop. Mobile still buggy, older version

While the game is good on desktop, I can’t recommend it on mobile. The game has a bug with sound settings. If you disable music/sfx, the game will revert to enabled during progression of the game. A minor annoyance is the lack of save/load functionality. There is no way that I’ve seen to even revert to a checkpoint. In version 2.0+, this is there and is helpful. There is more content and some good rebalancing in v2.0+, so it’s disappointing to not be in the mobile version. For me, the sound setting bug is the worst. I would like to listen to my own music without the game sfx and music. Until this bug is fixed, I can’t recommend this game. I do support the developers and chose not to request a refund ( I paid for the full game). Instead I hope they see this feedback and hopefully fix the sound bug.

War

The war with Rumburg with the new updates is impossible to win, I tried every ally, every strategy, every economy and immigration, every decision that leads up to the war, only way to not go to war is if you ally with a super power, you can’t offer trade or peace because then iosef coups you, this needs to get fixed, the old game allowed you to win, all those vids I saw they won, and there 3 years old, I even did what they did the best I could do, but no I still lose, this needs fixed, the war is unbeatable, no matter what strategy or generals, you lose, it’s still a greet game but, the unwinnable war is making it unplayable, fix it or atleast make it easier, for the sake of the players and long term players, I beat this game more then 13 times, can’t win the war or get unleashed from the coup, iosef only accepts you if you retaliate, not even all the time, please.

Really quite well made

I have been enjoying this time killer the past few days, after developing the nation successfully (in whichever way you desire, be it fascist, communist, or somewhere in the middle) the replay value really drops off. It is a short game but absolutely packed with engaging content and several different paths to choose. Only complaints I have are that its too short and the map is quite small, after winning a second term I was extremely eager to continue developing, only to learn that you will only ever play 1 term. Regardless I enjoyed it despite having to rush through lots of text for every play-through after the first.

4 bucks is cheap, if you are political or if you enjoy paradox games and similar genres, try this out.

Great game, wish it gave a little more freedom

I’ve spent nights staying up until 5 am playing this game over my Christmas break. It’s wonderful. The story is engaging, the policies and strategy is challenging and fun, and the overall experience is highly enjoyable.

That being said, overall there is a strong narrative that is set. The game is fairly linear. While your actions and choice do effect the story line, certain story elements are set in stone. This limits your ability to make broader choices, focus on threats when you when want to, and forces you into some unnecessary risk. Other then that, it’s wonderful.

Good but could be much better

I think the replayability of this game could be much improved by implementing saves. I would like to be able to go back and change decisions I made without having to replay the whole thing from the beginning which gets tedious after while.

Wow

I absolutely loved this game, great dialogue, story and just incredible execution in general. Really really good game, however I do wish that we could continue playing after the second election, I was so very excited for that, but apart from that, incredible game. Is there a chance that the game is updated at some point and we can continue playing the second or even third or fourth term as president?

My opinion

The game is great and very enjoyable and one of the most enjoyable political games. I hope that you will tell us a new story other than Swordland and Riza.. and new stories as well. We want to continue playing and not leave it.. Is it possible for you to clarify to me if there will be an update for a new story soon and a new country as well? Thank you

THIS IS THE BEAT PARADOX GAME!!!

This has been the best political simulation game that I’ve ever played. I just got it on steam today. It is also way better than I would’ve expected. If you get it on Steam, you can get the DLC version of Kingdom of Rizia and play as another character. What you do with Anton Rayne impacts what happens when you play has Romas.

Great game, hope for more

If you’re into political RPGs where your choices matter, then look no further. Torpor has developed a quality game in this app. Additionally, the DLC adds more flavor and a different perspective to the base game that already has allows for several play throughs and different endings. Although the mobile version currently crashes from time to time, I hope Torpor continues to develop the mobile version of this app and expands the game with future DLCs.

The wait is over, thank you.

I loved playing this game on my laptop a year or so ago. I was hoping they would make it for iOS and now they have, and I’m happy with how it turned out.
As someone who studied political history during the breakup of the Former Soviet Republic of Yugoslavia this game plays similarly into the balancing of Ethnic/Religious, Economic, and Foreign Affairs while dealing with an internal regime change.

What a game

Started playing this game, instantly got addicted. This is one of those games with multiple endings, and it genuinely takes some skill to play. You won’t be disappointed with this game, if you love history and story mode games like The Walking Dead or Detroit Become Human, this is a perfect download for you. The fact it’s even on mobile is crazy.

Fantastic!!

This game is something else. I downloaded it not really expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a REALLY good game. I won’t spoil anything, but there are only a few ways to succeed and a thousand ways to fail, so you really have to think ahead. This game is more like chess than anything else. Another great thing about this game is the writing. Whoever wrote the script is very talented. Thanks for the experience, this was very well worth the $3.99.

Nice surprise

I have played through this game several times. Each time I tried different paths and the choices made each game feel new and eliciting. Games like this where you really have to think and consider your decisions that are also fun are rare. This game is definitely worth the small price to pay for it.

Going forward it would be great to see an expansion pack that allowed you to go through your second term or play another country in the area and experience the same years from their perspective.

Very well done!

Genuinely one of the finest games ever made

this app is an incredible example of interactive fiction. If you like politics, foreign relations, or have even a passing interest in macroeconomics, you will like this app. It is primarily an interactive novel, which I personally loved, but if you’re an action person then it may not be for you. Still, if you’re thinking about getting this app, you really should. In fact, very soon an update that will sync it with the PC version, adding huge amounts of extra content, is slated to come out! So there’s no better time than now to try!

Never Forget.

As I rot away in my prison cell as the first impeached president in Sordland’s history, I can’t help but wonder where it all went wrong?

Everything I did was for my brothers and sisters of Sordland.

I think back to the cold, rainy evening I came home after a long day signing execution orders for my political rivals.

My wife, Monica, sitting at the kitchen table in the dark. I remember seeing a half empty bottle of wine and a legal portfolio on the table in front of her.

She was still sore about me holding her back from the Women’s Rights Movement. Would she ever learn her place?

I’ll never forget the way she said “I want a divorce.”

The words cut through my heart like a dagger of ice. After all we had been through? Two children and over 20 years together. And it was over like that.

Anton Rayne: Father, Son, President…‘ex-husband’?

How could she do this to me?

A sudden thought popped into my mind.

“Oh how cruel God is.”

“But also how humorous he is.”

I think back to what the Archpriest of Deyr said publically while we were campaigning for re-election.

“God bless the Raynes down in Anrica.”

10/10 game.

Shockingly Enjoyable

I’ve never played a game like this it’s pretty fun despite having to read a lot, which is never a bad thing. the funnest part is the decisions you need to make in every situation, it’s like watching a movie while reading. Maybe books should be written like this for now on lol
