MangaKakalot has what you need, manga and manhwa, however i just CAN NOT recommended it due to the numerous unresolved bugs that just add up and turn what should be a decent manga app into a genuine pain to use.

The are random crashes when reading manga on occasions

sometimes clicking read on a manga will close MangaKakalot as well.

Sometimes a manga you read will simply choose to forget what chapter you left off, so good luck if you don’t remember the chapter number

This recent update caused several issues of its own, at first the manga itself never loaded when one clicked read on it, this lasted for a day, then they did in fact patch this bug, however this fix only lasted around a day before another bug appeared in which you would be unable to view anything but the mangas title and cover, you wouldn’t even be able to click read, they claimed to have patched this however now you can’t even read the manga itself, it simply loads forever .

As it stands now, it seems to me as though the developer truly does not care about their app, they simply have to make sure the manga website database that they have their app tapped into is working properly, even if their app is not.

Man I’ve been using MangaKakalot for years now supporting the devs and everything. Yet MangaKakalot is still underwhelming still crashes all the time they say they fix things and they don’t. In 1.7 they fixed the chapters not updating just for them to not load now. Like you would think after all these years it would get better but it hasn’t and I’m so frustrated at this point because MangaKakalot has great potential it just way to buggy right now for me to recommend it to anyone. I’m beyond disappointed in how it’s been running as of late and hope it gets better

Updated MangaKakalot to version 1.16 which was a bad idea. Nothing would load, would click on mangas and only see the cover…. No description/summary or available chapters would load just a blank screen with the cover image
Updated again to the newest version which I believe is 1.17
Still the same things but this time it only happens to the stories I have favorited. Would search them up and everything would load nicely. Cover image, summary/ description, chapters, recently read. The problems starts when u click a chapter to read. Would say for example ‘ loading chapter 17’ and stay loading in a black screen. No back out button or anything. My internet connection is great, tried with LTE , VPN… nothing stuck on loading.

I liked MangaKakalot a lot since it had almost all of the mangas that I read. Once I committed to buying the no ad version, that’s when all the issues started happening. First, the chapters wouldn’t load, then they sent out an update to fix this the issue. Now when I’m on there, I can see the chapter list but when you click on any chapters, it just loads forever. I checked their telegram and people have also been reporting this issue. Once the issue is fixed, I’ll remove my rating since I seriously like MangaKakalot. Thank you.

The most recent update that claims to fix the previous update has done next to nothing. Manga now have chapter buttons that do not crash MangaKakalot anymore, but I have yet to actually load any chapter images. The top viewed section also seems to have been destroyed as it only shows manga with an average of 500 views, when before the update that broke everything occurred, all of the top viewed had several million views at the very least. I cannot help but wonder what MangaKakalot developers were thinking with these recent updates. They claim they were targeted at a few bugs, but the changes have completely broken MangaKakalot and so far the attempts to fix what they’ve done have accomplished little to nothing.

Is anyone else having mega problems since the last update. Nothing updates, nothing you currently have opens. Are the owners not seeing this? This is one of the better apps when’s it’s working, I hope to upgrade my review when MangaKakalot upgrades and works. For now, a search for alternatives….

Okay, I know I was frustrated before. 1.1.7 is still not getting it done. Take your time. I will wait. I miss MangaKakalot and just want it to work right. Thanks, I’ll be more patient…😺😹

Alright, I tried downloading MangaKakalot on a different phone. It appears adds are now being placed as you attempt to open a manga but after the add, the mangas won’t open. And they won’t open even with a new download of a different device, somethings wrong…..

If you have an issue to report, you have to download another app, Telegram, to report. Who wants to give another app your phone number to report a problem. this app, you can do better.

So one day I was gonna read Dawn of the Dragon ( so much boomayaah lol 😁) and then I press on Dawn of the Dragon and it doesn’t say the chapters of anything actually and then I’m like it’s probably just a glitch right ? So then i press on an another BL or Yaoi. It does the same thing no chapters description nothing just the little picture in the top left. After I pressed on about 15 BL’s the same thing Happened to it. Then I delete MangaKakalot because I got mad so I redownloaded and I lost all my progress and get this it’s 8 am I’m typing this and this problem happened about 11 pm and yeah so I’m kinda annoyed and don’t know what happened I resented MangaKakalot a lot of times. So please fix it !! But overall before this happened I (still) loved MangaKakalot for all the different things to read lol.I’m mainly into BL’s ! So Please Please fix it :((( it doesn’t show what chapter I’m on anything. Plz plez fix it:( - <3

The update fixed it so that you can now see that a manga has updated, unless it’s one you were reading before everything broke. Deleting the your read history makes it come back but the chapters still won’t load (but the ads sure will). Edit after 1.1.7: after doing the above, only chapters released BEFORE update 1.1.6 that caused the crash will load. New chapters still will not load. In some chapters I have tested, the last ~5% of a page is cut off and made its own separate page.

I made another review. MangaKakalot just got another update, so I’ll make an update. MangaKakalot is still great, however, the webtoons/mangas don’t load the pages anymore even though they’re still actively updating chapters. I believe that the new update, while fixing previous bugs, created a new one where some of the webtoons/mangas don’t load the pages. While I can still click on the manga/webtoons and select a chapter, the pages show an X and won’t load.

The most recent update messed up all the previously read manga I had and now I have to refind them problem is I have over 600 in the list so it won’t be easy hopefully they can fix this.

Went back and tried to read something but most manga still don’t load as well and i checked to make sure im up to date and i am like I said hopefully they can fix these issue but for now MangaKakalot is basically unusable.

This is a great app and I have been using it for a long time. I was really excited when I saw that we had another update to fix the bug that was happening where we couldn’t see any chapters when pressing on a comic to read, however, now I can see the chapter list, but after watching an ad and clicking the X to close the ad after it finishes, there’s no panels. My screen goes black and there’s nothing there. Please fix this I really do enjoy MangaKakalot and want it back

For the most part… it works great. Two problems i can think of on the top of my mind. One being the fact that every once in a while. When closing MangaKakalot completely. Sometimes it doesn’t register what was just read and you’d have to reread those chapters (took me as far back as 40+ chapters). 2nd would be that sometimes MangaKakalot would sht on itself and just not want to load any manga… like you can get into the cover page with the summary but you wont be able to load any of the chapters.

I have had MangaKakalot for years now. The recent update has become a problem, which I never had previously. I can’t access anything on MangaKakalot . All I get is a black screen after I click to read a chapter of any manga. I deleted and reinstalled MangaKakalot to see if that was the problem, didn’t do anything. Now it won’t restore my purchase for no ads, I kinda don’t want to buy it again if MangaKakalot won’t work.

Loved MangaKakalot but I’m guessing this new update just completely broke my app. I use data instead of WiFi because it’s faster. Now on data nothing loads and when I switch to WiFi it just sits there trying to load in. I hope I’m not the only one. Please fix this. I’ll use a different app until this gets fixed

Update*** one problem got fixed (the not loading anything just being on MangaKakalot ) but now the problem is loading any chapters. I have found one of my books and tried to read the first chapter and it just has a loading screen. I’ll bring back my 5 stars once that gets fixed

To me MangaKakalot has pretty much any manga/manhwa. I only have a problem when the titles are a little different but that’s not MangaKakalot fault. A lot of sites will have some titles different so no biggie. Other than it being a great app. The support team is quick with their fixes. After an update I couldn’t upload content and within a day they fixed it. Never had an app do this before so I’m highly pleased with it.

For almost the last decade I’ve been using MangaKakalot to read all of my manga the last few days have been very rough. I love MangaKakalot and it has provided me with all of my manga needs. Over the last few day before and after the update I can no longer read anything it simply won’t load the chapter I select. Is there anything you guys can do to fix this?

I love MangaKakalot because it has many and all types of Manhwa and I will not change it for anyone know other app… but the first update it didn’t let us click on our Manhwas to read them then we had another update this time it looks good but I have notice that each Manhwa has chapter 1 repeated more than 2 times and when I try to click it to open it will continue to load and it won’t open. I don’t know if there is an update coming but please look into it. I can’t miss the new chapters of my Manhwas.

First with update 1.1.6, when you tapped on a manga/manhwa to read it would only display the cover and would load forever, with 1.1.7 I can’t refresh my favorites tab, and anytime I select something to read there’s just a blank screen and the loading symbol which will stay on forever

Came to edit my review, I have been using MangaKakalot for years and honestly it’s been my most used app of all time, so really hoping the issues get resolved or MangaKakalot goes back to a previous version that worked

I’ve been using your website and now app for years, you’ve saved me time and money. I’m glad you guys fixed the updating issue but I still can’t read the manga despite them being updated, just letting y’all know so you can possibly fix this. I’ll be on the website in the meantime. Thank you and love what you’ve done.

I LOVE MangaKakalot—so much so that I use it on the daily (if not multiple times each day). I’ve never had any issues until today. None of the mangas I read were loading, and even after I updated MangaKakalot , I’m continuing to have the same problem. I really hope this issue can be resolved soon as I really love MangaKakalot. :’)
