A very novel principle, but there was one person within 50 miles of me using it. This has not changed in the past week despite the daily notification that there are “new users nearby.”

Could Delight grow? Most certainly. Will I stick around to see it if it continues to send premade messages to my feed that do not represent the reality on the ground? Absolutely not.

I HIGHLY recommend trying to implement a system of notifications that focus on convincing users to stick around through the initial drought as it would build good will early on and keep people like me from deleting and letting it fade into obscurity

I liked the fact that there is a verification process using photo ID and gladly participated hoping that matches would do the same, but it wasn’t required.

Maybe because I’m older, there are not many users in my area and as a likely result, my recommendations were populated with what appeared to be (unverified) AI-created profiles. The photos had that tight line around the faces that hint of being dropped into a false background. I mean, when one guy (an architect from Cambridge-c’mon?!) is wearing a t-shirt that I almost ordered for a family Christmas gathering. The t-shirt would never have been purchased by a straight man… it’s comical, and crazy creepy. And no way the model in the picture was the age noted in the profile.

I had one match, and he never responded. He might not have been real. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, for sure, but I waited to respond to someone “liking” me first, so… Also, you have to keep the communication window OPEN in order to maintain the connection with your match. You can’t close it and come back to it later. It feels like a privacy risk, but I kept it open as recommended.

The daily matchmaker recommendations didn’t happen. For 2 days in a row it has said “check back tomorrow.” The top picks haven’t refreshed in two days either! I SO WISH that I didn’t get the 3-month subscription. I already cancelled to prevent auto-renewal. I feel like I was scammed.

I’m reporting you to the Better Business Bureau if you don’t refund my subscription fee for a fake app dating with no one on it.

This is a good idea for more mindful dating. However, it’s business fraud according the the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau, to charge people for a dating app that you then have no members to explore or match with. Get your membership up before charging for subscriptions unless you want to be reported for fraud. Obviously you need members so you have to give more memberships away until you have enough to then sell more.

I find the concept interesting and I really want to like Delight. I cannot overlook the fact that there is like no one using Delight and you can easily swipe threw everyone using Delight in a single sitting. I have had this for a short while, but I check in daily and it has been exhausted of people for several days.

When you run out it says “Check back tomorrow! More singles will be added soon.” which is worded interestingly. The you couple that with the some of the reviews that definitely seem fake and you get a flop.

Male Female option for gender… :/ What is this the Right Stuff app? You’re already causing an issue for me if your platform works on an assumption that everyone is either a woman or a man. Not only for being exclusionary but also cause it indicates that Delight developers are either old or conservative or (gasp)… BOTH(dun dun DUHhHh) plz fix cause it’s stupid.

Maybe they fact that they misspell “Caucasian” should have been my first sign to delete Delight . The concept is great in theory, and maybe in the future I would consider returning to Delight, but as a queer woman, I’m certain I’m being shown all women, including the vast majority (if not entirely) straight women. I emailed the developers about this but didn’t receive a reply.

Please don’t use Delight. This is the definition of a scamming dating app:
1. A vast majority are bots or fake profiles where they hire international workers to respond to you.
2. They are stealing and selling your information using AI. I ran into 3 ppl already I know personally, whose pictures were stolen with fake names and different profiles.
3. The founders of this company apparently were accepted into Y combinator, however they’ve done nothing with Delight in the last year. Neither of them have any experience in dating/consumer places, so this really makes me question why on earth they would even build a dating app other than to steal info.

Thought the whole idea was to be picky, but your left swipes also count against your allowed swipes for some reason. In less than a minute I was “out of swipes” without finding a single person to swipe right on. The concept is cool, but if swiping left on like 10 people leaves me with no choice but to pay for their expensive premium membership it’s pretty useless.

I live in a major metropolitan area of around 12 million people. I scrolled through about half a dozen people and now there’s nobody left for me to look at. Every few days I get a notification that there’s someone new, and it’s one or two people. Sometimes I get the notification and there’s no new people. Except, of course, if I pay for premium, then I can message this whole other separate group of attractive people. Delight is gross, I deleted it. The concept of only talking to one person at a time seems interesting, but of course I didn’t get any matches, you need users to get matches.

Please please for the love of god don’t use Delight. I have tried to find dates in Virginia and it’s difficult because it always tells you that more single join every day, please check back tomorrow. I did that for 2 weeks and still have not seen any new singles. I paid for three months and this is what I am paying for. If you don’t believe me try it and you’ll see. I want my refund back.

Was hoping Delight would meet or even exceed my expectations. However, it did not. I saw an ad for this on Instagram. Thought I would download it. Haven’t had a lot of success with dating lately. Now I love the idea, but it just doesn’t work. Maybe there aren’t enough people or I don’t know. I just didn’t get to talk to anyone despite swiping right on a ton of people. There’s better apps out there for you. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Love the concept, but unfortunately Delight should have done a few more rounds of beta testing, and the customer service is nonexistent. Even with my distance being set to 20 miles (in NYC with a population of 1.5 million) allll the people I’m shown are a solid 80 miles +. (Like why are you showing me people in Boston, MA and Richmond, VA?!?!) All the daily matchmaker picks have been horrendous with today’s being a- very obviously fake- profile with the name “Long Nuts” a job of “only fans at pornography” and all photos were basically blurred or insinuated sexual acts. I’ve reached out to customer service multiple times over the last two week with no responses. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. Play with the free features but it has so many bugs and issues I would suggest circling back in a year or two and hope they’ve figured it out.

this app seems to be the exact same as any other dating app with an AI gimmick. The AI asks you a bunch of questions and applies none of the answers to finding you a match unless you pay. The filter itself has distance and gender, you must pay for any other filter option. Want to see your matches? Pay, want to see who liked you? Pay, want to like one of the “suggested” matches? Nope you gotta pay. Also none of the “suggested matches” or “people who liked you” actually exist it seems. I set the filter to the widest it could go and i ran out of matches before seeing any of these people.

For example, you tell the AI you don’t like smokers. You get about 40 smokers in a row.

Delight seems nice enough at first but just like every other app simple features are locked behind the premium paywall such as “have kids”. Simple things like that shouldn’t be behind a paywall. I got duped into the $2 basic package which is the bare minimum to see who has liked you. There was a notification dot on mine so I paid, only to find there was no likes so thanks for that. The distance preference doesn’t work either as after seeing just a few women in my area my feed became nothing but women 50+ miles away from me.

Delight may be worth it if you are in a big city, but small area people should stay away. Just not reliable enough.

So Delight looked to be promising in some ways. I liked the concept of AI to help out, even though I’m a skeptic in that regard. I register, submit pics of my drivers license, swipe… and not even a day later, this application has been frozen. It doesn’t matter how many times I uninstall or close Delight . All it says is to check back later for more matches. I can’t go to my profile, I can’t tap anywhere else. Nothing. It has me thinking that this is a massive ruse more than anything else… it needs to be fixed before I rate it any higher. I have yet to receive a response and it’s frustrating how I still can’t use it. I check back every now and then to see if Delight itself will work but no.

Left swipes should not count for daily swipes/likes, most profiles are empty it’s like 2 pics and no bios that is going to be an automatic left and it is deterring from seeing real potential matches. Causing us to be in Delight longer and wanting to give up earlier. Also we should be allowed to see messages after unmatch, I think it’s fair to see what a person said before unmatching as it’s often a reason why, so doesn’t leave us wondering. Delight definitely has potential but it needs to get its base together, right now the biggest issue for people is that there is not a huge user base.. well you need to make the unpaid basic app better to create that base first, don’t make the simple things something that’s only paid.

They are tryin to utilize some AI feature but it’s not really helpful. It lets you answers questions so that it can match you up with someone with similar interests but that could all be taken care of with an interest prompt/section. After setting filters the match maker ignores your preferences in age and height????? I have platinum subscription, its not worth it because basic features aren’t even working properly so Delight feels gimmicky considering all of the above. The only positive thing I can say is that the loading of profiles is working correctly and is fast.

Delight has a creative idea, but has been riddled with problems since I started using it. First, be aware that the dating pool is unsurprisingly small on Delight, and you probably won’t have many singles that live within a reasonable distance from you. Don’t even bother to swipe right unless someone has the premium tag. The one conversation is a cool feature except that Delight deletes the conversation as soon as one person leaves it. You will never know what that last message was. I’m not sure if it was my experience or a bug, but many of the profiles that I wrote a message to would recycle back into the pool without explanation. I have no way of knowing whether or not my message got through. I think that if I’m being turned down, totally fine, but those should be removed from my potential matches. There are tons of likely fake accounts, and connecting with anyone has been challenging. Recommended profiles don’t update with any regularity, nor does the ai matchmaker’s recommendation refresh correctly. Delight freezes and crashes often. TLDR: cheap, but not worth the waste of time.
Update: After posting this review, the developer did fix some of the bugs, I haven’t had nearly as many recycled profiles popping into my feed. However, I’m still having other problems that I have reached out to their troubleshooting team. I think Delight should have a troubleshooting feature or faq link, or if I’m just missing something, that it should be easier to find.

Delight has some potential and good ideas, but there are SO many glitches and imperfections. When I tried to sign up for a subscription it didn’t allow me to view the people that liked me and I essentially had to pay for it twice, delete Delight , redownload it and then it actually worked. There was a string of people in Delight that just said they were from “home state” without any city information, all in a row. Lots of people on Delight are bots who will inevitably like your profile before any real users. I wouldn’t waste your time on this one.

I like the overall creativity of Delight . But I realize, You search all day with no ability to message anyone and then when your AI finds someone that actually fits all the features you originally paid for doesn’t work…😡 they try up sell you instead… that is just not fair. They should really think about changing that because it is a bummer that you can’t really meet anyone of interest unless you spend the highest amount… 🤦🏾‍♀️ now I am stuck for 6months with no hope of meeting anyone that really fits my desire unless I pay another $20. I don’t recommend Delight.

Delight boasts itself for being about meaningful connections, and I’m all for that, good intentions im sure. But after about a handful of swipes for women in my area it starts propagating the NYC crowd which all dating apps do. It then goes one step further and says “well you live in New York why don’t you go to Maine for your first date?” Great idea this app, you’re a genius! If I wanted to meet people from out of state I would go to a convention that suits my interests and talk to women there then decide to fall in love and live in Maine. Thanks, this app, when I say 30 miles I mean 30 miles

I used Delight last year and it was a bit buggy. I downloaded it again today, and was happy to see that the bugs have been worked out. However, what frustrates me and what is leading me to leave a bad review is that distance is considered an “advanced” filter.

It’s quite frustrating to not be able to filter by distance. I don’t want to see people who are two hundred miles away from me. I want to meet someone who lives near me, not start a long distance relationship. It’s difficult to use Delight knowing that when I reach the bottom of the profile I am viewing, the person might not even be near me.

First of all, im tired of being offered a chance to win some get away. It feels very scammy. And the AI feedback, which seems to be this app’s “hook” and meant to set them apart from apart from other dating apps isn’t very helpful and may be racist. First of all, I’ve only ever seen that a person may be a “Moderate” match. No other levels of match. And often times, the reasons it provides for the march are things i dont care about. Also, it occasionally tells me I may be a moderate match because “we’re both caucasian”. …um, thats not something I care about. Why did the AI say that? Did the other person put that as a preference? Idk but it’s very sus.

ETA: I decided to just delete my accounts and Delight . Worst dating app Ive used.

Intriguing concept, but I ran out of people in my preferences (7 year age range, within 10 miles) in just 3 days. Keep in mind that’s in San Francisco, and limited by a swipe maximum of ~15 (including both likes and passes) every 12 hours. Could be worth it for you but definitely doesn’t have the user base worth paying for at the moment.

First, prioritize users who actually verify themselves. Scammers are getting better at using English, and with the rise of technology like ChatGPT, I suspect they are prompting AI to respond to our messages in nearly perfect English. They are able to be more conversational, and someone on here was a premium user! YES, a scammer who tried to blackmail me into sending them money on Delight was a verified account!

So scammers are getting better at their tricks, and Delight has low picture quality already, which WAS a good way to weed out fake profiles - usually the pictures in fake profiles have lower image quality. But with this app, all images are low quality, making it easier for fake accounts to fit in.

I would wait for Delight to grow in 6 months to a year. Probably needs way longer and a whole new team, and will still be full of fake accounts, so I would say stick with one of the more popular apps still just to guarantee the person you’re talking to is actually real.

As for the accounts that are actually real, there is no guarantee they are even more serious, or like other reviews are saying, some people on Delight you just can’t see yourself with. Don’t spend money on it. Try something else.

The amount of swipes they give you per day compared to other dating apps is too small and they even count your left swipes. That’s a very bad UX because if I can only use Delight twice in 2 days you want me to feel like I’ve engaged positively with it/got something done.

I understand you want to limit it to entice purchases but it puts a bad taste in my mouth when I feel like my time was waisted when I used Delight for that brief time. Put a cap on value instead of putting a cap on “nothing gained” if you want to entice more use/purchases

To me, this site is like a hit or miss. I feel as if it has potential, it’s just that there’s too few people on here to actually expect something to happen (especially in your area). On the bright side, and I know I am being optimistic about this, I feel a little safer here knowing that not many fake people are willing to buy a subscription before they are allowed to swipe.

This is a good concept. Match, remove distractions, only get to know one person. I really wanted to love it.. but it’s no different from others. I live in a fairly large city (million plus people). Somehow Delight is still showing me people multiple states away. And I use the term people lightly because most of the profiles that “like” me are both states away and obviously either sex workers or bots. My most recent received like had a phone number and 5 pictures that were obviously AI.

If they marketed this right and actually attracted enough female users in major cities, I’d love it. But right now it’s bottom tier.

Honestly idk what i was expecting, every dating app is the same anymore, i loved the process of setting it up but you really cant do anything but swipe on people, i like how it gives you options and finds people who have the same interests as you but in order to even see your likes you have to pay for it like every other dating app out there, its also very straight based, im trans and there was not an option to add that which i kind of expected, i added that in my bio but most people will just swipe without reading your bio which can be very dangerous for people like me, And not to sound like a narcissist but They only like me bc im “pretty” so unless you want to spend all your money on finding people to date i dont think this will go very far.

I love the concept behind this. The problem with a lot of dating apps is that they cause users to not fully explore potential relationships with matches. I live in the Houston area and only had one profile to look at before running out. I think that at least in my area, it needs to become more popular in order for it to work for me

I’ve been using Delight for a couple of months and this is the second person that I match with however the screen almost looks frozen. I can’t see my matches profile or send messages I can’t call or video call my match I can’t even unmatch if I wanted to. My first match send me a audio and after i unmatched I kept trying to find matches and everything worked well.

Steps to follow for QA

1. Match with someone
2. Receive a voice message from match, play the audio message
3. Without responding immediately unmatch
4. Match with someone else and receive a text message

The screen seems stuck and I can’t interact with the screen.

this app has a great concept at its core by not allowing users to engage with multiple people at once. In my area there are not a lot of women on Delight , and the members are mostly beat up from the feet up. I’m not sure why the women on this app tend to be less attractive compared to Bumble and OKC but it could simply be that it’s a newer app. If you are on the fence, try it! It’s definitely a better way to meet someone than the other sites where 90% of users are chasing the same 10% and it’s possible to use it without spending a bunch of money. Good luck finding love!

Rating might change, but so far Delight is easy to use, it's 'Premium' service isn't necessary to have like some apps, but it's also cheap as can be! No fake profiles, because everyone has to verify, and it allows you to say what it is exactly you like about someone's profile/appearance. Honestly, I think it just needs a few more options for what you like and dislike about someone. Also, I have *zero* idea what the ❤️ button on pics and profile bits does 😆

Delight features what I think will be a break through in the dating app scene. But be wary: there’s not a tremendous amount of users yet given it’s age, especially if you’re in a lesser populated area. Maybe hold off on the subscription for a while, while Delight gains more traction. I subscribed and only after about 20ish swipes, there hasn’t been anyone new for the last 48 hours in a maximum radius. To be clear, I don’t think this takes away from the quality you’ll find here, just be patient!

Delight is way too underrated. The simple idea of only allowing one conversation going at a time is a game changer. All your focus is on that one person (like dating should be) and if you want to talk to someone else, you have to un-match first. I tried Hinge, Bumble, Facebook Dating, OkCupid, etc. but this one actually led to a genuine connection. Highly recommended and I hope more people decide to download Delight !

this app is the best dating app I've used. The fact that you can only match with one person at a time makes it feel more personal and less overwhelming. I've had great success with Delight and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a serious relationship.

Finally, a dating app that gets it right. Most dating apps follow the “their are plenty of fish in the sea” approach. But in reality, most people are searching for the right one. this app helps you find your perfect partner by keeping you focused on building a long lasting meaningful connection.

I love a lot of things about this new app but specially the privacy elements of it. It doesn't ask for extra information and all the chats and communications are encrypted

Delight is absolutely good and I like the remark I got about it. The bad side of Delight I can say is that if you're matched with someone, you will not proceed to do any other things in Delight until you cancel the conversation with your match.
You can match with someone and maybe not get a response from your match for a couple of that's and you'll not be able to move ahead and swipe for another match.
Your match can later respond and see that the person is not your ideal type of person is the match is not too close. You'll have to cut off and start all over again.
In summary, Delight should let the users continue to swipe even if they're matched with someone or having a conversation.

I recently purchased a subscription and two days later I can’t access my account. I open Delight and get moved to the login screen, where I’m asked to log in. I punch in my credentials and it tells me that I don’t have permission to continue. I’ve tried everything from reopening Delight , reinstalling Delight , and even restarting my phone. Nothing works.

It's kinda funny that AI is so integrated in so many fields of our lives, but Delight is the first thing that I'm seeing, trying to use it for building relationships? Like, the looks of the person is one of the most important things when trying to find a partner, and an algorithm that takes my tastes into consideration when offering a potential partner? Yes please! The concept is amazing, it actually works and develops with time. Bravo.

I downloaded Delight because the Instagram ad featured a model who was gifted in ways indescribable in written form.

Delight forced people to actually care about the people they swipe right on because you can only talk to one person at a time, this is far superior to dating apps where you can talk to multiple people because not only does it force people to actually care and talk but AI helps you find the perfect match, all you have to do is let the AI know what your looking for. Would absolutely recommend this over all other dating apps, please download it, you owe it to yourself after suffering lol.

Okay, so I must admit, I have been on multiple dating apps before, but this one is absolutely my favorite. And it has many perks. So, first off, It highlights under the first picture of them questions like if they smoke or drink, their religion, schooling, and other things that are very important to know about your partner. You can customize what you want: age, gender, distance, etc. Without paying extra like other apps. You can only talk to ONE person at a time. Verifying your profile is extremely common on Delight, thankfully, which helps prevent catfishing. It brings up people closest to you first. And most people on here are absolutely serious about finding someone special. That's why they are here on a one-on-one dedicated app rather than tinder or some other generic dating app where it doesn't match you with people close, it costs money to even see your matches, and the conversations are very short because they have 10+ other matches than you. I went on a date with my very first match after a little over a week of getting to know each other before making the "commute" but I never would have found someone like him without Delight. And I am beyond grateful. If you are looking for something serious give it a try. Who knows, maybe you will find your person. Just like I found mine.

I would say this started rather strong, it delivered on its premise with an impressive AI since the beginning. Since then things have significantly improved and the shared plans for what's coming next sound fantastic. Since this launched this has delivered an AI that really got to know and help people. I still remember my friends and I dropping our jaws, it felt so futuristic, like some kind of magic! This has had its ups and downs but along the way I think this has gotten much better and I'm interested to see where it goes from here. Hope to see more filters soon.

I’m old enough to remember when Tinder was brand new and full of bots and everyone claimed it sucked until real women began using it.. every app has a rough start even Hinge had the same issue as well on launch! Unfortunately apps like hinge & bumble have become the new tinder and are full of young girls (18-mid twenties) only looking to waste time and boost their egos. I was honestly over seeing dumb memes, girls pushing their OF and idiotic prompts until I found Delight! This may be the new break through in dating since you can only talk to one match at a time. This will definitely discourage the immature group. So far I haven’t paid for the subscription but I know Delight is going to be the next hinge!!

This app is a piece of SHIT, I would like to know how they got my credit card and charged it for over $47.00. I am going to find out and do what’s possible to give them a bad rap, and I will pursue this !!

I paid for my membership. I answered all the questions I was on for about a week maybe two the same like the app froze so I signed out to sign back in. It wouldn’t let me it kept telling me to sign up again I already paid and signed up, can someone get in touch with me I’ve left quite a few messages and I haven’t got any message

his app is a Scam to the core Just like most of them first off I will say this out of cost it is the cheapest to get the platinum but that's about it for pros now let's look at the cons there are TONS of women's on here that you will swipe right to and never hear a thing even on plenty of fish and ok cupid AND tinder I have matched with about 4 or 5 women Delight I believe is entirely dead and the only reason they are still running it is cause they are lying about the service there is no one on that site for a man at least NOW out of nowhere one day you will get this notification and it will be a girl and INSTANTLY they talk to you like hey what's up I like you how are you so you play along cause know its utter bullshit and be like hey how are you and they go into everything about you like they know you like they use little points off your profile to act they are real like your race or what you like to eat or what's your hobbies so you keep going along with it and they all of sudden want to google chat and or just want to ONLY TEXT they will then use conversation like what are you looking for in a relationship and the minute you tell them long term they going in this HUGE paragraph how they are looking for the same i feel so bad for the men and women who may be getting played cause to them this is like a dream come true but in reality it's just some sick ass prevent with nothing better to do than mess with people now to continue they after you guys had a conversation for a little bit if you ask them for pictures they will send them to you and on each person has tried this trick on me i have reverse search each one usually i don't find nothing connecting but i do find it bit weird last person that talked to swore she was a aviation mechanic in the United states Airforce and that's a big no no to be taking a identify of the military but again side track so after all that being said they will keep trying to have conversations with you so basically i just black them at this point cause i know better

Although I’m not subscribed to this app, but I have been on it for quite some time now and every day I get the same message check back tomorrow I can’t see for paying for this app. If there’s nobody in my area, this app should be free to draw attention to people, and as it gets larger, then go back in charge, but without having the subscribers, you’re literally paying for nothing
