Hello! I haven’t had HerdSocial for long, but so far I’m loving it. Everyone is so positive, and it’s very refreshing to just scroll through and look at other people’s photos. I highly suggest you download HerdSocial before it gets bombarded with trolls. One problem I do have with HerdSocial is it’s notification system. There is a bell icon where you can check your notifications, but no dot shows up when you get one. I think it would be great to add a little dot that shows up when I get a notification, similar to the ones other apps have (I hope I explained that well). I also noticed that I could no longer see my notification after a certain amount of time. I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it was intended to do this, but I would really like if I could go back to read my notifications. Other than that, I LOVE HerdSocial and can tell a lot of work was put into it!

The herd social app is soooo funn!! There’s no likes and no followers so no one can ever be famous from it unlike most social medias. It’s just about seeing cool pictures and meeting new friends. However I do have one suggestion, if when you click on a picture it would be really cool if you could click on someone’s profile and add their other social medias and people could customize their profile so still the no follower concept but that way you can actually talk to new friends. That would be amazing or if there could be a section where you can send and receive messages to only one person instead of commenting under their post. That way it’s easier to talk to new people! But overall HerdSocial is new and really interesting!

I love the new idea behind HerdSocial, but I find myself never using it and I have several reasons why. One of my biggest issues is the limit on public photos. I was so excited about HerdSocial because of the idea of “carefree” posting, I’ve always been so nervous about posting on other social media platforms and this sounded perfect for me. However I was incredibly disappointed when I found out I can only have 15 public posts. This makes me 1. not want to post in general because no one is going to see it 2. nervous on what to put on my public page because I want to make a good first impression. This, in my opinion takes away the “carefree” part of herd. Second, I don’t like the like button feature. I think the idea is cute, but if the creator can’t even see the reactions then what is the point? On a positive note, I love the “beneath the surface” feature, the customizable feed and the overall look of HerdSocial . I can’t wait to watch this platform grow!

love the fact that you can pick your own interests and that every person on your timeline has an interest in common with you! the only addition i’d like to see on HerdSocial is the ability to see what other’s interests are aside from the ones you have in common, maybe after you both add each other back! it’d really bring people together to not just talk about what you have in common, but our own individual interests too ! And also, the interest picks are great but some are really specific while some aren’t specific enough. It’d be great in the next update to add more options and maybe even allow us to be able to choose as many as we want or a bigger number than just 15 (it’s so hard to choose!)
Other than that, what an amazing app! Love that there’s no followers/like counts! HerdSocial is completely stress free and really connects people. love love love !! keep it up

I’m so excited that HerdSocial still has the elements of other platforms, but it’s algorithm doesn’t control you to make you spend hours on end. It’s different because you can’t follow people, there’s no search bar, you can’t see other people’s profiles. But just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s bad. I love that they have a reason WHY they didn’t add these into their app. I think I’m really going to enjoy using HerdSocial for a long time. And feel more free to post things that I’d be scared to on Instagram. There’s a few bugs currently, but HerdSocial is so new it’s expected. But overall this is great! I think every woman needs this on their phone.

I love HerdSocial, but I do agree with the changes a lot of other people have already suggested.
1. I don’t like the “public” section of the profiles. If there continues to be a “public” section, there shouldn’t be a limit on the number of posts on there.
2. The reactions/like feature. I like the idea of having reactions, but I think there should be a basic ❤️ reaction and you should be able to just double tap for that.
3. The categories for the photos. It won’t let you post a photo without choosing a “category” to put it under. I feel like this should either be done away with or it should let you post without choosing one/choosing multiple.
Again I love HerdSocial I just think a few changes would make it even better!

Hi! I’ve been so excited to download HerdSocial! :) I love it but I do have suggestions. It’s kind of difficult to like pictures, maybe you could let us double tap? It wont let you post without a caption and I think it would be cool to choose multiple different categories for the picture subject (ex: photography and nature) I will possibly add more to this as HerdSocial grows and as I keep exploring HerdSocial , it’s amazing so far and I love the idea behind it! I hope it becomes very successful! Also I’m honored to be the first review 😁(edit:) is there a way to refresh the feed? I keep having to look at the same pics :/ also is there a way to follow and search for certain users? (Edit:) thank you for making it easier to scroll and like!!!! I love HerdSocial so much already 😄

HerdSocial is the best thing that ever happened to me. I love that I can post random selfie’s that I wouldn’t post anywhere else because it feels so free and open and excepting. Or I can post really cute photos of myself that I love but feel too self-conscious to post on Instagram and then have people in the comments hyping me up. I totally recommend the staff app I love how excepting and supporting and kind everyone is and you just feel free to be yourself. One recommendation I have is when you’re posting a photo make it so you can post it to multiple different topics. example I might want to post a photo to both the gen z community and the body positivity community.

It’s a great app and I can’t wait to see what it grows to become! There are so many things I’m excited to see that are coming, and what we have now is so much better and less toxic than what we are used to! I think the only thing that isn’t positive isn’t the creators or the apps fault, we are used to Instagram and Twitter and whatever, switching to this is a very different feeling, new to what we are used to and adjusting to it is a bit difficult. 4/5 stars
Update: the new updates have just blown HerdSocial away, the aesthetics are on point and everything that was already was great is even better now. I just hope HerdSocial catches onto the rest of the world so there is more people on it. 5/5 stars

This platform feels so much more different but in a good way. Because there isn’t followers and there isn’t likes (kinda) it feels less like some consumerism app and more like a chill and relaxed experience where people post for fun and not for clout. I’ve never seen a social media app so wholesome before. No one is really toxic towards each other. The like system is pretty neat because instead likes it’s different emotions that you think fits the post and it’s much more expressive than just a general like. Overall it’s a very different experience from other apps but that’s what makes it amazing.

Spending hours scrolling on other social media’s where I follow way too much garbage becomes unhealthy so quickly. I love that on HerdSocial I can shift the entirety of my feed to a specific category. It was raining earlier when working but I wanted a mental health break - so I opened Herd and made my entire feed for the “Nature” category. I ended up saving a lot of the posts and found it to be a great use of a few minutes of the day without causing addiction or a complete waste of mental bandwidth. Excited to share with friends. Great great app

i’ve had HerdSocial for a few days now and i’m really enjoying it so far. i’ve been having fun posting random things on my camera roll that i wouldn’t normally post on an app like instagram. i do have a few suggestions though. i think that a tab for notifications would be great! i want to know if anyone is even seeing my posts, but it’s hard to do so when i have to scroll through all of them and check the comments. i also think there should be a way to click on profiles and/or follow someone. i want to add my sisters and friends but i have no way to see their posts as of now. i’d like to see an option where you can add a bio, i feel as though my profile looks sort of bland without any way to really personalize. my last suggestion is a way to reply to comments. so far i’ve had a few people comment on my posts, and i’d like to interact with them but i have no way to! HerdSocial has great potential and with a few fixes it could be perfect. i’m really excited to see where you’re going to go with it and i won’t be going anywhere!

Have been so excited for HerdSocial since i found out about it, i love the way it looks and the concept of it! Using it has been a big challenging though. When I try to leave comments, they usually don’t actually show up and the posts I like don’t end up being liked either. When i scroll i don’t usually see anything different than the same ten posts. It is also pretty hard to like posts that are not square shaped, the heart is covered for some reason so i can’t like posts that easily either. I wish it was a bit more interactive as well. I cant wait to see HerdSocial bloom and become the best it can be (:

I feel like it’s a good idea but very lacking in execution. The fact all posts are image-based greatly limits what you can actually do. The way you can decide what’s on your feed instead of being done by an algorithm was already done on tumblr in the form of tagging, and much better too. The selection of things you can choose is both too vast and very limited. It still just feels like posting for the sake of getting attention, even though that’s exactly what HerdSocial claims to avoid. Overall, the mediocre execution makes for an app that’s uninspired and not particularly entertaining or enjoyable to use. Like I said, HerdSocial has a lot of potential, but I think it is overall lacking.

HerdSocial is so nice and positive. I just have a few suggestions! The biggest one is a bug that there are so so so many repeat posts! I scroll through my feed and see the same 10 pictures over and over again, even after I refresh. A suggestion I have is allowing you to view someone’s profile and be able to follow accounts you really like! Also, it would be awesome if there was some sort of private messaging system. One last thing, it would be cool if you could change the quotes/words on your profile! They’re nice quotes but I would like to personalize it to something that fits me. Thanks!

HerdSocial is so great!! It is such a brilliant idea to have a social media app minus the toxicity of social media and I love all the extra features that encourage authentic connection. I also think the idea of putting people together by interest to meet new people is really cool!! It is honestly such a healing experience contrasted with the normal experience of social media.

My only request for updates would be to add neurodivergent/autistic/adhd options to the “identity” section of interests. It would be so amazing to be able to talk with other ND folks :)

i love the concept of HerdSocial so much !! i enjoy not seeing likes/follows it's very refreshing :) however, i really hope they push for a safe space for people of color. i understand it's an inclusive app so differing opinions (i guess you could call it) can't be prevented, but i want to be able to filter out other people on HerdSocial that may have harmful views/ideologies or support terrible people (aka trump). i think HerdSocial is a little catered towards white women, so i hope to see more categories that POC can join !! other than that, i'm so excited for HerdSocial & cannot wait for further updates 🤍

One day on HerdSocial and I already feel like I’m 13 again, downloading social media for the first time and so excited just to share who I am. I’ve been beaten down by the social media so much lately, it’s incredibly refreshing to feel in control and EXCITED about sharing again. I would love a way to view people’s profiles (especially pronouns) directly on the feed page. Other than that, the design so so sleek and the community already has such a strong fondation of love and support. Thank you herd!

HerdSocial is a refreshing break from the mainstream media. It is a safe space for people to be who they are without the fear of body shaming or anything like that. I was hooked when I saw that HerdSocial was founded by women! This is what we need in today’s world ! ❤️
S/N this is still a new app and of course there’s going to be some issues BUT it is still a very good app and I’m glad I was able to download on launch day :) (also, the team is very attentive and actually replies/listens to comments &/or issues!)

Herd is the most supportive and empowering social media I have ever had. I got rid of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc almost 3 years ago now because they became so toxic and fake. Herd is my first real step back into social media that’s in comfortable enough to post genuine pictures on. I’m so happy with it and I love how they make it non addictive. Of course I expect updates as it’s a newer app but I’m so happy I downloaded it the day it came out and I’m here for its journey to popularity! It’s been amazing so far!

I can’t express how grateful I am for this space. It’s so nice to feel like I can participate on a social media platform without all the picture-perfect expectations. I don’t have to edit my photos to some unrealistic standard. I don’t have to research content-creator tips and tricks. I don’t have to curate my personal brand. I can just post things I like, things that make me happy. No like counts or follower counts or constant notifications. It’s a breath of fresh air in such an otherwise suffocating social environment. I want to thank the queens at Herd for seeing the need for a space like this and doing something about it. Not just for yourselves, but for all of us. That’s amazing and you should be really proud of what you’re doing here. I’m so so so proud of you.

I’ve been here since the beginning of the process and once I heard that HEARD was out I had to download it immediately. I love how we can control out feed. It’s like regular social media without the toxic. I love the pronouns feature and I love how you said “if you don’t have anything nice to say scroll”. I do think we should be able to add friends/follow people. and I would love if we could double tap to like. Another thing would be if the captions weren't quite as hard to see. But other than that I LOVE HerdSocial<3

I cannot fully express how much love I have for HerdSocial. Watching the creators count down on Instagram has been so cool, and now that it’s finally here I’ve truly never experienced anything like it. It feels clean, and like a true reflection of what I wish to see. I genuinely feel like I can express myself without feeling judged. If you haven’t checked out HerdSocial, please do so, because it’s one of the best things you’ll ever do. ♡︎♡︎

I wish that it told you how many likes. Otherwise there’s no point in having it. And to be able to get notifications if you want (able to turn off in you don’t). Also not having stuff come up in my feed multiple times (I know it will change as more people post) but I’ve gotten posts pop up one after each other when it’s the same thing. Oh and the ability to be private (many people aren’t comfortable with having everything public) 🥰 and too have pronouns visible.

i love it so far and i love the atmosphere. i understand you guys are still working on it but i have a couple suggestions. i feel like we should be able to search people up and look at their profiles. second i feel like it should notify us is someone liked out post. i also would love more customization on everything. i love it tho and keep up the work
