Unapproved transactions

I’d have given the game a good rating because it’s fun, and doesn’t get boring like a lot of energy based games because there’s multiple ways to attain more energy. HOWEVER, the game made two transactions that I did not approve. I’d made 2 transactions prior for the .99 deal for energy and then on two separate occasions the game charged me when I didn’t purchase anything. There was no energy credited to my game either. I thought maybe I’d done it and forgot until I intentionally locked my card. Then yesterday I got two notifications that the game tried to charge me. I haven’t played in a week so why would it do that? I will be uninstalling. To my knowledge there is no way to contact support which is also a red flag. Just a fair warning to anyone who considers playing.

One of the more blatantly manipulative merge games.

I've been playing for about a week and it didn't take long to encounter scenarios where I only have one generator to meet every single requirement in the game - and that generator (the frying pan) has an abysmal drop rate for egg dishes - I would guess the ratio is one egg item to five pasta items. Guess what you just so happen to need around this point? Endless egg dishes, and there are no other items that you need to merge. The last two days have seen me log on, run through the 30 drops from the pan, and maybe get lucky to fulfill one order before I have to wait hours for the pan to regenerate drops.

This is when MergeRestaurant hits you with a pop-up "solution" to break the endless loop - pay 7 bucks for a handful of mid-tier egg dishes that MIGHT get you through the backlog. Hmmm I wonder what the developer has in mind here?

It's so imbalanced that each time I'm literally left with 70 energy and nothing to use it on. I'm drowning in energy refills and nothing to use it on. At this point it's a waste of time and I'm uninstalling. I'm not sure what game other reviewers are playing, but I'd like to try it, it sounds a lot better than what I've experienced.

Generators + no update?!?!?

I see this in many of the other reviews which means this seriously needs to be looked at. Generator pieces do not come around often enough but when they do you get 2-3 of the generator pieces that just sit there for so long and waste space. ESPECIALLY WITH THE FOOD PRODUCING GENERATORS. I think it’s ridiculous that i haven’t even used most of the food generators besides the ones that came with the episode. Like why do I have 3 parts for the ice cooler but haven’t used it since the episode i got it in? Am i going to get the last piece so i can merge them all? Maybe i’m not being patient enough but i don’t think the pieces should be sitting there that long. Otherwise, I love everything else about the game.

Editing my review over a year later to change to a 1 star and add, no update in 2 years is actually insane. I have been keeping MergeRestaurant in my phone and been checking periodically to see if there is an ACTUAL update and obviously there hasnt been one. L developers.

Edit #2: Just don’t download this game. This is the worst merge games out there. After finally releasing an update after 2-3 years, I get 3 tasks in a row with super high level secondary items. Annoying but whatever. I finally complete the first area of episode 6 AND NOW IM STUCK BEHIND AN XP WALL?????? I’m on level 37 and am expected to get to level 40 just by randomly merging? Like genuinely what is that. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.

Unplayable, try Merge Inn instead

Uninstalling this merge game because I cannot stand the bubbles or the indicator to show you what you can combine. ****Edit: The indicator pops up wayy too fast to be able feel any satisfaction from feeling like you merged on your own. Bubbles are too frequent and take too long to disappear. It would be very nice to be able to turn bubbles off and skip the tiny bonus it gives you for being a nuisance on your screen and it would be very nice to be able to turn the indicator off or slower or make it a toggle. Fortunately I have already found a better merge game since this review: Merge Inn. If you like the style of this merge game but hate the bubbles + indicator, merge inn has a very slow indicator but still present and so far I have only had 1-2 bubbles pop up per day which last 30 seconds and turn into coins. Merge Inn demonstrates a much better reward system than this game. As for ads in Merge Inn: they are voluntary for 2x rewards but never random/pop up from nowhere. There is also clubs in merge inn you can join at level 7 and be able to request energy and send energy.

Random ads? There didn’t used to be

There used to be no ads unless you as a player chose to watch them. And I watched a lot, either to get extra energy to keep playing or to get another part I needed to make something. But something changed. Twice now a random ad had stopped me form what I’m doing, there has been no prompt to watch the ad, I don’t get anything for it, and I am able to skip it after 5 seconds. But it interrupts gameplay and honestly if it continues I’m going to delete MergeRestaurant. I really thought I found a fun and engaging merge game without the trashy ads popping up all the time, but I guess I was wrong. I’ll give it a few more days and if I see another random pop-up THEN I’ll delete it.

Why ruin a good thing?? Also, no, I’m never going to spend money to get ‘no ads’ or to get the stupid Starter Bundle that I have to say ‘no’ to TWICE every time I open the game.

it's okay

it's fun when you can actually start moving in the game, but progress is painfully slow. timer cooldowns are way too long, to get anything done in a quick enough manner to enjoy yourself, you have to spend an unholy amount of time watching 30 second ads on repeat, or spending gems to unlock it. you basically HAVE to have a disposable income to enjoy the game at its fullest potential, so you can afford to buy large sums of gems at a time at a crazy price.
there are also some gameplay complaints, like the lack of storage space, and the slow, unsatisfying nature of the chef experience points.
but when occasionally there's an update note or something with a couple hundred gems, or if you've just spent a few weeks trying to finish a task so you can clear more slots on your board, the game isn't that bad. it can actually be quite enjoyable.

Merge restaurant

This game would be so amazing if and a 5star if you didn’t have to wait over an hr for your product to charge back up so you can complete your task. It’s bad enough that it spits out items you don’t need. By the time you get a couple you need, it’s not enough to merge to what there asking for & your waiting 30-1 hr sometimes more. It’s not worth spending money. You’ll get a good 10 mins of game play ounce your past the beginning where it’s always easy and seems better then the rest. The ads run out to speed up time also. I hope this helps you decide if the games worth it to you. I like something I can play longer then 10 mins and don’t try suckering me for money by shortening the game play.

So fun, Also Annoying

30sec adds turn into 45-60sec because you have a specific window of time to x out before the next add forcibly starts. Adds have to be watched on average every couple of minutes so the fun part is very short lived. They also hide the add countdown under a banner so you do not know how long the add will last or if it is one that you can exit without having to interact with the add. Three more gems you have the more you will have to use to progress the game so purchasing the packages that give you tokens and gems would be waistful. I like mindless games like this for times when I just need to decompress. May have to find a different one that does not leave me stressed out.

Fun - very slow

This game will definitely pass the time and I do enjoy all of the different tasks even though they aren’t put to use. You may have up to five tasks to complete at one time, though each task requires the same item (often high level) In making high level items you either have to pay to keep items or watch an ad. If the item was made why can’t we just keep it? It just seems like it’s stalling the game play. If you need two high level items at once, you can expect to spend 30-40 + gems or watch multiple ads to keep low-mid level items. That is if you or your machine doesn’t run out of energy which also results in using gems or watching ads. Also, once machines are upgraded they produce multiple items and at that point it’s very hard to get the items you actually need and by the time you get some the machine is out of energy.
If you want faster game play you can expect to watch 40-50 ads a day for keeping random items, getting more energy to merge, getting more energy to make items from machines and so on. Maybe if the game had a better pay system or just let you keep the items that you make (!!!!) it would be easier to deal with the ads every once in a while as they are not forced ads. Overall a fun game just needs adjustments: less ads to not stall game play!

Good game, but slow

The premise of the game is good and follows the same idea of so many other merge games. The graphics are nice but not overly detailed which would slow down the device, require larger downloads and decrease battery life. I do however have 2 complaints. 1 - There is no “undo” function in case you accidentally sell something you didn’t intend, such as a level 10 item, you are majorly screwed. 2 - The tasks are often singularly focused on one or two sources. You may have 4 tasks requiring items from just one or two sources. Or, you will, get back to back tasks that require high level items, but you only have one task to work on resulting in little to no progress through the game for days on end even if you play multiple times per day. Yes, you can spend money and gems to get around this, but to do this all the time requires deep pockets.

On the Fence

This is a fun and addicting game but it has SO many issues that make it frustrating. I wish I’d read the reviews before I paid a bunch of money for upgrades because now I know after chapter 4 it just ends and people have been waiting years for a new one. If you’re not going to continue the game then don’t keep doing side games and updates, it makes no sense. The other huge issue is the ads are out of control. I don’t mind some here and there for rewards and such but constantly having them pop up where you’re forced to watch them or crash MergeRestaurant is insane. It’s also the same long ads over and over again. There’s so many upgrade parts that seem to never go anywhere and you can’t move them so you just keep using coins to buy space, so annoying. Can you guys please update or at least give more of an answer then we’re telling our team!?! If not for those things I’d love this game and it would be a 5 star for me.

Entertaining but slow and crowded at times

Update- don’t play too fast! It took me 4 months and I completed all the available episodes, so now there’s nothing to do. So definitely don’t buy anything- it’s a waste to try to speed up your process.

I wish it was easier to get generator upgrades without paying for them. With a new update, they give out generator parts, but I probably have a good 10 squares taken up with just parts which is super frustrating when trying to accomplish tasks, especially tasks with multiple items needed. It’s also frustrating that sometimes you need just one item from a multi-item generator. Like you need wire but so many knives come out, which also loads up the board. At least the generators were expanded- it was extremely frustrating when the ice machine only produced 15 items and took hours to recharge.

Merge games

I do like merge games. Sometimes this one is frustrating. Especially on the events. Every customer wants the same thing. But the item they want is a rare one that comes from a machine that you have to make something else in order to get what the customer wants. You may get one of the items necessary to make the product, but you won’t get the product they want you get, because then you only get 5 or 6 items. It takes time to produce the items in the machine after you add the necessary ingredients. Then all of the items it generates are the basic ones that are not what they want. So it takes forever and you can’t ever finish the event.
Som items take FOREVER to make. I have 3 generator items that I have NEVER used so they take up space on the board for nothing. If you need these later give them later.
It gets boring because eventually everyone wants the same items over and over!

Improved but needs better pay system

I like the game play. It deters wasting time but feels fun when I have a break at work. Very satisfying.

They provide gems as thanks for staying with the game during development. Very customer oriented.

However the enticement to pay is not very good. It has a splash screen that that I have to click through on every opening. I’ve stopped reading them. I recommend an upgrade system instead. For your first restaurant, you get a merge table (current system). For each additional restaurant, you can get tab that takes you to that restaurant’s own merge table. But the new restaurants don’t come with generators. You need to buy those. Or, for those that don’t want to spend money, you use a van to transfer items between locations: once the van is sent, it takes an hour to arrive at the new location. We already receive generator parts with each new level.

A different approach would be to have the merge table zoomable. You could zoom in and out to see the items easier. (The icons are good but hard to differentiate.) for a purchase, you can add a row to the merge table, thus giving you more area. I would pay for that.

Pretty good!

Pretty great game! The first thing I had an issue with though when first starting is not enough energy! I couldn’t play for hours and hours without pouring in money, and that’s not my goal! I get the mechanic though. One thing I wish the game had was more opportunities to merge your gear to spawn more items. I’m level 16 and I keep getting parts for those machines that spawn, but I never get more, only new ones that take up space. I wish there were more mini games to spawn more rare items!! Overall really fun and addicting game. I don’t typically play mobile games for more than a week before I loose interest, but I’ve been playing this one for a while now and I’m not bored yet!

Enjoying the game but…

I’ve been enjoying this game for a while, but I see the latest update forces you to do a certain amount of food orders to move on. This makes a certain amount of sense but this is not the type of merge game I enjoy. I like these sorts of games because of the gameplay loop of fixing up a locale, seeing meaningful improvement to the surroundings based on the actions I complete. Completion of orders does not accomplish this. What this means is that the food ordering system is completely useless to me outside of a source of extra xp if needed(generally it’s not), and for this reason it’s gone largely ignored in my game. Forcing me to do these is going to make me quit the game, there are plenty of merge games that don’t do this. No hard feelings this just isn’t the gameplay I’m interested in. I’ll be holding off on the update for as long as possible so that I can continue playing, but if I’m forced to update and using food generators becomes required I don’t think I’ll be able to maintain interest.

It's a good game, but...

I cannot stand the lack of storage space. My entire storage is filled with pieces of generators that have been given to me, seemingly completely at random, from leveling up or completing special tasks. You'd think they would provide the pieces in order so that you can actually build the whole generator instead of having 2 different levels of 5 different generators sitting in storage waiting for just one more piece. It's also insanely expensive to upgrade storage. For reference, I have 17 storage spaces. 12 of the spaces are taken up by generator pieces, and then it costs 5100 coins to open one more spot. Ridiculous. In my other merge games I hardly need to use the storage at all.

I also find the bubbles insanely annoying. My space is already cramped enough as it is since I can't get any more storage, so when I merge a few items from the toolbox and end up with 4 scissor bubbles and run out of space, I'm gonna be pretty annoyed. Now I have to wait 60 seconds to get some coins that I don't even really care about.

Bug?

I have been playing this game a bit, but something has happened recently; and I believe its a bug, I was playing and around 3.5 stars on vinyard. I have a auest, that requires 8400 coins?!?? For 'restock'. Thats way too many, also other bugs ive noticed, chef xp doens't drop on board when merging high level items untill around 8-10 merging, which is a lot higher than normal. Also some quests have had white squares, but it fixed by refreshing the game. Can you tell me if this is a bug, or intended feature? I have a friend around same area as me, but ahead a bit. He said he has to may 15,800 coins, not 1,580 coins, 15,800 coins.

I’ve been really enjoying the game!

This is one of the few merge games on the market with 0 forces ads and I respect the heck out of it. I practically quit a game the first time they force me to watch an ad and I’ve had the game for a while now. The only aspect I’m not into is the changing graphics almost every day. The new furniture items look more polished and nicer, but it’s kinda shocking to see all these items change every day. But that’s a very small thing that I really consider to be a non-issue seeing as development is still ongoing. All in all, I enjoy the game immensely!

Love this game but needs more content!

I got this game about 2 months ago, I finished the kitchen, and I’ve just finished the vineyard. I was hoping to unlock the next episode after the vineyard but it just says coming soon! I also can only level up to 21, and then it says I have to go to the next episode to level up more. It says I can still do my VIP orders, but that’s not much to the game without the rest of it and I’m hoping there will be an update very soon with more episodes! Please tell me when this will be happening!!
