Do not get this game. Worst game I’ve ever seen. I feel bad for the people who get this game. You might as well waste your time. It just gets harder and harder before you can even learn anything. If I were you and you already bought this game I’d delete it right now. No this is just my opinion but it’s probably a few other peoples opinion to. It’s just I’ve never seen a game this bad before and I mean it’s good to challenge yourself but I don’t mean to frustrate yourself really bad. It’s like when you order a hotdog at the store and they give you a broccoli. Overall I hate I mean hate this game please don’t get it. I mean if you want to get it do but this is my opinion.

If you need free piano lessons, Pianify is perfect for you. Pianify can be confusing. The lessons need to be more specific. Pianify can be very frustrating. I tried playing dance monkey, and it was not showing me the correct finger numbers. Also the song category is very slim, and the songs are short, the songs also only involve one hand. If you want to learn short and easy songs, Pianify is for you. I recommend you should read the feedback on Pianify before using it. For me, I will not be spending any money on Pianify, and will be deleting it.

I downloaded this and already knew the basics of playing a piano. But when I got played it and I trued playing notes, I was playing the right notes at the right time and it was saying it was wrong. I think that is was because I couldn’t hear the notes coming out of my piano so I turned the sound up and put the phone closer to the speaker. But it was still marking them wrong. It was because of the lag from when I played the note to when the phone thought I played the note. So I was playing right in time but because of the lag it was saying I didn’t. I like the idea of Pianify but the execution of it is very flawed. They need to find a way to either fix the lag or make the green line go in time with the lag not the song. I don’t know if that makes any sense but until this is fixed I will not be using this crappy app.

Last week Pianify was great. Trying to secretly learn piano to surprise my husband I was excited and grateful to find this free program so he wouldn’t wonder about new charges. Pianify lagged a little with sound recognition but I made myself adjust because it was a great FREE app.
I had a lot going on the last week and got a few days behind but saw there was an app update in the meantime. I sit down to practice today, open Pianify , and now the lesson I was on is requiring that I upgrade to premium to continue.
I’m heartbroken and feel discouraged from continuing. The payment options are the same as many of the other apps but at least keeping it low cost would’ve kept you ahead of the others. Now you’re just a money grab like all the others.
*Just checked other apps and it’s actually MORE expensive than they are.

I raged so much at Pianify because I kept playing the right notes but it was telling me I wasn’t like every time I would do a lesson but when I did the ode to joy lesson practice it said almost every note I played was wrong and once it finally started to work it said too many mistakes and made me start over and then it kept telling me that the notes I played were wrong even though they were right it happened so many times I stopped using good posture and just used one finger to press the CORRECT. NOTE. and it still said was wrong. DONT DOWNLOAD!!

Pianify can be extremely frustrating. I’m in the seven day free trail and I don’t think I will be purchasing Pianify. You can be pressing the correct key during practices but the Pianify fails to pick up a lot of them. It’s frustrating when you are hitting the correct keys and it’s not picking up enough to unlock the next lesson. It will keep restarting the practice over and over again. I have held my iphone with cover off half inch from the key and it still didn’t pick it up. The lesson I had before this picked up much better but I’m at lesson right now I can’t complete. All because Pianify is not picking up the keys. Pianify is way too expensive to have issues like this so I would definitely look at other apps. I’ve tried a lot of the piano apps and this is one of the worst for picking up keys when playing.

I used Pianify in August 2022, back when the entire app was free. For a free app, it was a powerful learning tool. It would have the occasional mix up with reading my notes, but it was for the most part okay.
I was able to complete the 10 courses it had as a beginner who never touched a piano in my life. The courses unfortunately had a HUGE difficulty curve towards the end and they force you to play at tempo with both hands too soon.
As a free app, I highly recommend it. I was very sad to learn by loading Pianify in 2023 that it is now a paid app for the exact same content I played through when it was free. No additional content for a absurd price. If it were a flat $1-$3 Pianify would be a good price, but unfortunately they have decided to go to a greedy subscription model. Keep in mind that it only took me a week and a half to through Pianify. I got a piano tutor afterwards and never looked back.
In closing, they are asking too much for what Pianify offers.

I downloaded this because I wanted a fun way to play the piano. I started playing and it wouldn’t pick up on any notes so I had to play it extremely loud and even then it wouldn’t work. I also don’t like the fact that there is timing. You can be 0.1 seconds off and it says you missed the note. Pianify also looks extremely unprofessional and looks like they took 5 minutes to do it. Way too many videos talking about music and the preview for Pianify page looks completely different from Pianify so that’s clickbait. I’ll keep Pianify hopefully they will fix it because this was the only app that doesn’t force you to purchess things.

I used Pianify for 15 minutes til I quit because it was so frustrating having it say that I’m playing the wrong note or not playing a note at all when I know I’m playing the right note. I tried other apps and they are way easier than this, I had to click the note maybe five times for it to register half the time

I’ve been playing since October on my iPad, and electric piano, and it has a lot of bugs in songs, and practice. I keep a journal with these problems etc. Sometimes, you can’t see the next note, other times don’t pick up chords very well. Some songs, either practice or full songs, have errors before the notes reach the play bar. You’ll need someone to test your songs etc before releasing to the song library, and lessons.

it doesn't act like I've played E, i cant get past the first course because i have to jam the E key with full force multiple times just for it to think i only played it once, might be a problem with my microphone but i havent had issues with it in other apps, i recommend using a keyboard you can plug your device into for Pianify to work
by Danome1234
Halfway okay for beginners but it really does not know what note you are playing. It will count you as correct if you play wrongly and will often penalize you for playing a ‘wrong note’ when it was correct. I would recommend trying another app for accurate learning or just being very very patient with this one.
by Liziqs
There is a bug that might frustrate people a lot, whenever I play the right notes and on time it says I got it wrong, and sometimes it says I got the note correct way before I’m actually supposed to play the note please fix this, it’s confusing.
by Dsnow17
Learning the piano is supposed to be fun. It was fun with Pianify until you get to “playing with both hands” as Pianify is unable to pickup when you are playing two keys at once. It was a maddening experience. Furthermore, Pianify would sometimes expect you to hit the notes 3 counts in advance! Utterly ridiculous. Deleted Pianify .

I’m 10 years old and I’ve tried a lot of piano apps simply piano piano academy and now this app and I’ve never seen an app that doesn’t here your piano at all I have to hold the phone over my piano for it to here it it really frustrating when you get the notes right but it counts if wrong it also does not ask if you have any piano experience so it starts you from the basics if you already know a little bit so if your looking for a good piano app I’d go with siply piano while piano academy is more fun you can only use it for 10 minutes a day but if you really want to learn piano professionally then you should stop looking for apps like a lazy person and hire a teacher but over all Pianify is not very good and I wouldn’t get it if I were you

I’m not gonna complain (that much) cause it’s free! However,it needs improvement because,I can slam every note on my keyboard and it says it’s right,or it do the wrong notes and it’s right, and I know their is most likely no auto play feature, cause sometimes it will play on it’s own when I’m not touching the keyboard, but other than the complaints is shares great information about the piano and is ok for starters,if you are an advanced 🎹 player it’s not very useful, but please consider fixing the mic issues (or whatever they are)
P.s.It could use more music,Christmas is great but their is too much in this game, and it would be cool if we got rewards with the points we got,but again I appreciate it
Sincerely
🎹 maniac ❤️❤️

Pianify has a lot of potential. It goes over basics and helps with instructions on how to slide and move your hands more which other apps tend to lack. I really wanted to like Pianify more because the UI is intuitive and it gives you a lot of options once you get further.
However, the mic and sound recognition, as well as timing to hit keys is completely off.
You have to hit the keys early or late depending on the song. There will be times you hit the keys right, and it doesn’t pick it up and other times where you don’t hit the keys at all when you should and it counts it as you did.
The two things Pianify SHOULD have perfect in order to function it just doesn’t. If the devs can focus on adjusting all the timing and sound recognition problems Pianify will work great, but for now just keep in mind that if you are doing poorly in Pianify, you aren’t as bad as it makes you feel you are.

I don’t love it I don’t hate it. The song are nice and we’ll know so they are fun to play. Many of the lessons are very helpful. However, this system is terrible at picking up what the piano is actually playing. Many times I will be playing something correctly but it will not pick up the notes. It makes me play it over and over and over. Then if you get in practice mode you’re pretty much stuck. It won’t let me out of practice mode cuz it’s not picking up the notes. This can make Pianify very frustrating and hinders learning. Over wise this would be a great tool for beginners
by Beezous
Especially for free but I have to hammer my keys in order for the microphone to pick up the notes. I’ve utilized a few other apps and this problem wasn’t noticed on those apps. If the microphone could hear the notes better I wouldn’t have to frustratingly keep stopping my progress and go to the other apps. Please fix and I’ll update my review.

Pianify is fine and all I like how it does not force you into needing to buy everything to play. I just am confused on how do you know which note to play when it gives you a note to read without fingering how would you know to play E or D? Coming from a 10 year old Pianify is ok but sometimes does not hear the key that I’m playing they need to be more specific with the instructions too
by 24685
It’s ok but some times it dose not hear the notes I play or it says there right wen I did not press anything and sometimes it says to many mistakes trie again and that makes me feel hurt. I think you should get Pianify but you should get a real piano teacher because not getting a teacher and just getting an app is lazy
by Blakeplayzz
So I have just started today, and am still on the first course. Once I got to Hallelujah, and finished practicing the song, I went to play the full song. It said that it was complete, but it wouldn’t let me advance.
by Fadinqsmilw
Pianify will try to listen to you play, but most of the time is ends up counting the not when I don’t play anything or it gets it’s wrong when I hit the right one, but overall great app!
by Gigiachadmonsterdragonballs
It’s sooooooo annoying when you get a key right but it your wrong . then you have to put it on max volume or sometimes still doesn’t get it, correct? And it’s also annoying right now you have to watch the videos when you get the game. I mean I like having the game but I gotta say give this a 4 star and under . Try another game that actually works better reviews and stars ‘

It is a good free way of learning piano but when I played a song it was to fast to keep up so I changed the speed but it still played way to fast. Also I jut started today so Maybe that’s why.
But over all it’s pretty good
by ZLaE
I love that you can learn for free! This is helping me achieve my dream of playing piano! But, it tells me I got a note wrong when I actually got it right so!
by Lydiiiiiii333333
Pianify is pretty good for playing piano. I take piano lessons with an actual teacher, and those are way better, but what can you except from an app. It’s actually really good, except it’s having trouble hearing my piano. I don’t know if that is the apps fault or my iPods, but it’s really annoying, because I keep getting stuff wrong and having to start over on the things I get right and is actually very simple, and then it gets kind of boring. Basically, if you want a free piano app this is a good one, but if you have the chance get in person lessons. :)

I used Pianify without midi connection, it didn’t work well for listening when I hit the keyboard. Then I tried to use Pianify within midi conversation it totally works well.

I’m 8 and it’s like almost the best app ever(piano app) but it’s crazy how like fun and like helpful for piano it just like I can already play all of my favorite songs and I’ve only played for 20 minutes and I can already play like the best songs in the world 🌎.

I love Pianify. It’s almost better then a real life teacher because you can go at your own pace and redo the lessons. It’s also not one of those apps where you have to pay to enjoy. There are only a few premium songs. And the non premium are still great if not better.
by BarceosKnob,
Pianify is sooooo awesome I have a request can you make a app with no free trail so everyone can play there favorite songs instead of having to pay to do everything if you can thank you
by Bellathegirli
I just downloaded this appp it’s amazing especially for me I’m 10 years old and I love Pianify so. Much I learn so many songs
Thank you to Pianify for making me feel like a star in piano 🌸

So, I am an at home learner for piano and when I started playing the piano I used a whole bunch of other apps like this one. But they were not helpful at all. But this one is different! Pianify is free to use and helps a lot! I know a lot of songs because of Pianify! I really enjoy Pianify! It is very addictive! Best app to use to learn the piano!!! Thank you for making Pianify!
by Jade1774
Sometimes it won’t here a key I hit, especially on the practice page. But for free, Pianify is amazing! I’ve played for about 3 weeks and they’ve already beefed up sections I’ve passed (I got back for the extra practice) and added two additional units. I also like you not only have to hit the right key, but have good timing for 5 stars, something that hasn’t mattered on other apps I’ve tried.
by Jayla Trejo
This can’t hear my piano well
by Baka8368
Only put 5 stars so it would show up but this is horrible it missed all the bites and rythem just don’t get it
