Refund is a scam
2024-07-25
by Aeran
Do not purchase this for the 26.2 mile refund challenge. I saw it through Instagram and I used the link to purchase a subscription. The link said that I just needed to run 26.2 miles and select a subscription time frame and I would get a refund. I selected the 4 month option and paid over $50 for it. Part way through I contacted customer service about the refund and they said it would automatically be applied. Once I completed the 26.2 miles and saw no refund, I contacted them again and they told me I do not have a subscription that is included in the refund challenge. They said I did not sign up through the refund challenge link, even though I did through the Instagram add. They also added on new criteria saying your miles only count if they are outdoors. It did not say this at all when I signed up and I looked online for any other information about the refund challenge and there is no information available for it. DO NOT PURCHASE FOR THE CHALLENGE. It’s a scam.
Bad App and they are thieves

by Phoebemadseller
Wasn’t impressed when I used Joggo , nothing you can’t find online. I ended my subscription after three months, even have the confirmation. They then charged me multiple times. They did not have authorization to charge me. They have yet to refund me and keep blaming my bank rather than correcting their error. Useless customer service, they also ask for personal information in insecure ways. Don’t waste your money, or risk having them steal your money.
Update responding to the developers response. As I mentioned I was already talking to customer service so providing me an email address for them does not help me. What would help me is refunding my money which this app has claimed to have done but they have not. It is July 17. I’ve been fighting for $33 since June 12. At this point it’s far beyond being worth my time but I would fight for one dollar on principle because it’s been such a crappy experience.
Charged without authorization after getting for “free”
2024-09-05
by Kjnm905
UPDATE: I got sick again and have not been able to run for a few months. The “free” app if you run 26 miles suddenly started charging me without warning. I’ve canceled and requested a refund. So disappointing to be charged without warning! It does not say ANYWHERE that you will be charged for future subscription periods. Also, I never lost any weight from using Joggo, even though that was the main reason I started using it. Original review: After spending the second half of my second pregnancy on rest with a dislocation injury, and then a bad case of Covid, I didn’t know if I’d be able to run again. I love how customized it is, the data reporting, the voiceover coaching, email check ins, and integration with Apple Watch. My only suggestion would be to allow more flexibility in changing the scheduled workout after the week has started, but I understand that the plans take a lot into account. I’ve been using Joggo for 5 weeks and have told everyone I know about it.
I’ve requested a cancellation
2024-09-05
by Chiqkis
As the title says I’ve requested a cancellation due to financial difficulties and being in the negatives right now and literally cannot get a regular response from an employee. I’ve stated the fact that i don’t gave the money and the team cus its a team, let me tell you. I gotten responses from at least 3 different people who either didn’t read the previous responses and just tells me something unrelated to the fact of my request. Honestly i stopped using Joggo cus it would crash on me and it would paused the workouts in the middle of them due to the way its set up on intervals to run but it is still mind bugging to me the level of heartlessness that your customer service has. Worst app I’ve ever had to deal with along with their customer support. Also the lady that complained about the progress not being saved, or “lost” is right. Idk how many miles the pauses caused me to loose. I am going to tell everyone i can how disappointing it is to use Joggo. And how god-awful your customer service experience was.
I joined this app to try it out and achieved the 26.2 miles in less than 2 months in order to qualify for a refund. There was a spot Joggo was showing my progress towards the refund, and the moment I actually completed it, that notification disappeared and there is no way to get a refund. When I talked to a live chat person, she said that it was only a 30 day challenge. Unfortunately, I never took a screenshot of the 2 month promise. Joggo just listed “July 2024”, with no specific day.
The AI “coach” that you can ask questions to says that there “must have been some confusion, as we don’t offer a refund”. It Overall, Joggo really didn’t motivate me. It’s not very intuitive. The exercise routines were okay, but not something I felt were really helping me. If I wasn’t able to run on a set day, the running activity assigned for that day didn’t carry over. Mostly, a forgettable app that not only lied to me to get me to sign up, but didn’t do much other than track some runs. Don’t waste any time or money on Joggo.
Free after 26.2 miles is a scam.
2024-04-23
by Kaylablah
Joggo is fine. The running plan works and are easy to follow m, they are within my skill range. Joggo does not work on my Apple Watch it just will start and then just immediately stop. The meal plan for vegetarian is just a bunch of salads nothing worth looking at, anyone can lose weight eating only salad. Joggo also does not record your whole run, if you are 1 mile from home and the timed part of the run is over it stops recording where the time stopped.
The marketing for the free after 26.2 miles is false. They will find any excuse to not follow through with that promotion. I saw someone get told they didn’t qualify because they paid with apple. Apple denied my debit and credit card thinking it was a scam, I should have listened. I had start the transaction over to get it to accept my card, which apparently is the reason I didn’t qualify for the promotional refund. They ended up offering me a 50% refund instead. When I denied that they cancelled my subscription and sent some passive aggressive emails about missing me.
So I’ve wasted 3 weeks with app and now have to find something else to use because they cancelled my subscription.
Does not sync with Apple Watch
2024-04-23
by Cbdhtob
I have been using Joggo for a few weeks now and it has become frustrating. Joggo on your phone and Joggo on your Apple Watch do not sync with each other. If you start a run on Joggo on your phone it will not start tracking with your watch, so you will have to open the watch app and then it will record two different runs with two different times and distances. Joggo also does not keep accurate track of the miles you have ran for the “free” miles. Overall they have some serious issues that need to be fixed that many other app developers have seemed to solve without problem. Also, if you are listening to music on your phone and having to switch between your music app and this app. It will pause your run, while you are still running and not count your time or distance until you notice it has stopped, because your switched to a music app. Again, basic app integration such as background playing or syncing with watches seems to be an easy thing and can be quite frustrating when your trying to run and fight with Joggo to keep track of your distance.
App ok but billing is terrible
2024-04-23
by JDeMilo
I tried Joggo during a new year deal because I do well having something tell me when to run how to run. Joggo wasn’t bad but it is glitchy. It held me at a beginners level for two months then suddenly jumped me up to an intermediate level skipping all of the between levels. Also sometimes what Joggo said to do and what the audio said did not match. Anyway I enjoyed it enough and used it solidly for 5 of my 6 months. I new my subscription was coming to an end so I went in to Joggo to cancel almost a week early. Joggo said it was canceled and wouldn’t renew. Then I get a suspicious activity notice on my Apple Card. It was this app billing me after I canceled. I’m not exactly sure why Apple flagged this but I’m glad they did. I declined the charge and went through the hassle of changing my card number. This was a day or two after Joggo is telling me in need to subscribe to use it. So clearly it’s canceled. Well a week goes by and I get another charge from this app. This one declined because it’s the wrong card number. So I’d proceed cautiously with this one.
Poor practice Joggo
2024-04-23
by Lady_silverstar
I downloaded Joggo to try last year, an ankle injury had me unable to use it and I thought I had canceled the subscription, enter today I get charged for another year with no warning, immediately reach out to see if I can get a refund and all they can do is refund 50% on an app I never used. No email reminders on a year long subscription is really dirty, feel like I got cheated and the CS person who emailed me back told me it was my fault, that everyone knows it’s a yearly automatic payment, well I would expect an email reminder, and since I thought I cancel a year ago why would I have reached out to cancel 24 hours in advance?! I thought it was taken care of! Poor business practice, id never download or try again.
Don’t bother reaching back out to the company if they tell you to. Waited a week with no response and tried to get help through PayPal but was denied. This company cheats people out of their money and their customer service is so horrible. They don’t honor their word and will not remind you about the subscription.
It wasn’t a horrible app, but I’ve used others that were better. I found myself having a hard time navigating through it. Tracking wasn’t accurate at times. For what I paid, expected a bit more. After 4 runs I gave up. I asked for a refund & this is why I’m giving it 1 star, other apps typically give you a week before charging, this app didn’t. Wasn’t like I had used it all month. I paid $33 up front & after 4 runs in 5 days contacted them letting them know my issues & it wasn’t for me. They said since it wasn’t a technical issue they would only refund me 50%. Ok, so lesson learned. Just a heads up to others who may be on the fence before purchasing. If you don’t like it, expect to still pay. Update: received response from this app apologizing that Joggo didn’t meet my expectations during the trial period & my misunderstanding of their refund policy. I WAS NEVER OFFERED A TRIAL PERIOD. Just charged
Should’ve spent more on QA before starting marketing
2024-04-23
by Speed516
Joggo has a good idea that it will slowly and safely train your running ability but I experienced a string of technical problems. At first I had runs that didn’t sync to Joggo but showed in Apple fitness, then it changed to runs that sync to Joggo for viewing details but they don’t count towards the plan progress.
Their support is also extremely slow. It took over a week for them to reply to my first ticket.
They also employ “high pressure sales” tactics to try to close the sale if you only register your email. I received no probably 10ish emails with increasing levels of discounts within 2 or so days until I subscribed. I already was planning on subscribing so I got a slightly bigger discount, if you are interested in trying Joggo if it is fixed in the future you should do the same. I however wish I had saved myself the money and the frustration.
Watch Out for the Subscription Charge
2024-09-05
by DeadEWOK
I saw multiple ads for Joggo and a free “assessment” on FaceBook during the Christmas season. I finally answered the questionnaire and was “offered” a plan at a charge of $69. I went ahead and signed up for a six month trial. However, I never once used Joggo and forgot about it. I never received any notice that it was going to “renew” and Joggo does not show up in Apple’s subscription list. Without warning a $100 charge hit my account. I contacted the “Live Chat” but was told they could only cancel the subscription or give me half off. I called PayPal and confirmed they could cancel the charge. Only then, did they offer to refund my full amount “in 14 days”. We’ll see if they do refund the full amount as promised.
Apps should NOT be allowed to renew subscriptions without warning. Joggo is just a scam designed to take advantage of people forgetting they downloaded it.
Avoid at all costs.
Buyer Beware

by GrandPam0702
Do you not, and I repeat do not purchase Joggo… I read all of the review prior to purchasing and I really wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt. My mistake! From the moment that I paid my annual fee, I have not been able to use Joggo . When I download it, it asked me to pay again… Issue one. Using their suggestion, I contact their support desk, via email, and a response back is that they cannot locate my profile and can I send them a receipt. I have done just that a dozen times… At least. Their response,Again, is that they cannot find my profile link to the email address, the same one I am using to correspond with them, and they asked me to confirm some random email address that is outside of the US. Three times, I have said that is not my email address my email address is… And I repeat my email address. Twice I have been so frustrated I had just asked for my refund back at 100%… They don’t even acknowledge that request. Again stay away… I believe that I have just donated $66 to this ridiculously inept company!!
BUYER BEWARE - App is useless unless you carry your phone have an Apple Watch
2024-02-23
by Lats68
I was excited to start this program and wrongly assumed that I could easily upload my runs from my Garmin fitness watch. Boy was I wrong. It turns out the only way to track your runs is to either carry your phone with you, which I never do and find annoying, or if you own Apple Watch. I don't happen to own an Apple Watch.
So I paid for Joggo a $65. Month plan, and then went out for a run. All of the stats are on my watch, but there is no way to load them onto Joggo to show that I completed my run.
Unable to use Joggo , as I intended, I asked to cancel my subscription. The email I received back is that we can't give you a full refund because there is nothing wrong with Joggo . We can give you half your money back but that's it. If I have to sue them in small claims court and get a judgment against them I will. They talk about how you can use your Apple Watch to sync workouts but fail to tell you that all other popular GPS AND/or smartwatches do not work with their app. It's pretty common to be able to sync a fitness app with Garmin and other popular gps watches. It's absurd here that you can't and that with 2 hours of purchasing Joggo and never being able to use it, I can't get a full refund.
I had really high expectations for Joggo. I use Apple Watch to track my runs, but I wanted the added incentive to “earn my fee back” by completing certain number of miles. I tore my Achilles last summer and have struggled to maintain a commitment to run, so the carrot to get my money back was important. After running 5 times (totaling more than 18 miles)…Joggo shows I have run 5 times, but completed 0 miles. I have reached out to customer service and after initially being sympathetic and trying to help, have now gone radio silent. $66 is both not a lot of money, but also a lot of money, but for me having an incentive to return to run was much more important…so like I said, I had really high expectations and Joggo did not deliver. Spend an extra $100 and get a reliable used Apple Watch rather than waste your time and frustration with Joggo.
Auto Renews without notification
2024-01-23
by Spiral Sea Wind
I was very interested and checked it out because of an ad. It was initially fun, but there are some issues with tracking/notifications for WHEN to do certain things in the run so you’d have to stare at your phone or watch to figure out if you had to run or not. It was also prone to freezing when a streak was reached. Grammatical errors everywhere.
I thought it was a single, one-time payment for the duration I had signed up for as it does NOT show up in your subscriptions when you check your apple account. Only after I saw 2 charges pop through for nearly a $100 more than I budgeted for my monthly expenses was I made aware that it was an auto-renewal process. I want a refund, but considering the errors I’ve come across in spelling, grammar and various app issues, I’m thinking I’ll be having to have a chat with PayPal.
Would not recommend

by Trixi CO
I have been frustrated with my experience with Joggo. Before you can have any recommendations for runs, you have to do a timed assessment. You cannot review your recommended schedule more than a week in advance, and this makes it very difficult to plan.
I am more frustrated with the way that you can have your miles count towards goals (13.1 or 26.2). You have to have Joggo running with live GPS, AND you need to be running outside, for miles to count. They do not advertise this. You cannot log a run manually for it to count toward your goal. Lastly, I completed an 8-mile run that is not showing up as fulfilling a milestone of 7.8 miles, despite me running outside, with Joggo running, AND Joggo telling me that I ran 8 miles.
Anyway, super-disappointing overall. I would not recommend it, as there are other fitness apps that are more useful and less frustrating.
Terrible Customer Service
2025-05-05
by Smokshane
I downloaded Joggo a year ago with the intentions of starting a routine for running. Unfortunately my knees would now allow me to utilize Joggo so I just ate the costs and moved on without using Joggo a single time. Upon my 1 year anniversary, it auto renewed. Shame on me for not catching the auto renewal in time to stop it.
Once the charge went through, I contacted them within 10 minutes of the charge and explained my situation. They took a very hard like - they referenced their policy along with the exact policy number, and refused to offer a refund. It’s a very difficult time right now as many are going through layoffs are work etc, so I asked for a hardship exception. They finally offered me a partial refund.
I’me very disappointed in the lack of empathy and understanding. I hope the $33 they would not refund was worth it.
Don’t purchase!

I am giving this service 1 star. I started a membership 1 year ago and quickly learned Joggo is not a good fit for me. I simply stopped using Joggo and ate the cost. I was not notified of an upcoming renewal and noticed a charge came across my account today. I reached out to ask for a refund and was told nothing can be reversed and I have access for another year. I am upset because I contacted this company the day I noticed a charge and they say nothing can be done. In this day of subscriptions and customer service Joggo should have the ability to reverse charges if the customer is unhappy. This is really a junky app with very poor customer service. As I was going through the cancellation process in app, I was offered 50% off my membership if I would keep it but I can’t be refunded!?! Makes no sense - to me that says this company is all about making money and has no concern for customer satisfaction.
Like others, I was lured into Joggo with a seemingly good deal. Joggo was a pain to work with and the plan was ridiculous.
I cancelled Joggo subscription and then was charged $92 dollars for it as a subscription renewal. I contacted customer service and went and cancelled for a SECOND time. They said that I had never cancelled and that I had agreed to a standard renewal fee in a passive aggressive email. They said it was “unfortunate” and so would offer me a 50% refund if I would like. There are many other fitness (and running) apps out there that function and have actually customer service with them.
Horrible app, horrible customer service. Save your money and look elsewhere.
Run away!! Terrible app and they don’t stand behind their product
2025-05-15
by Thrashthegnar
I should have been more suspicious of a company that doesn’t offer a free trial. Against my better judgement I paid for a plan. As soon as I got access I realized how bad Joggo was. Zero functionality, generic workouts that are not worth the investment whatsoever. You’re better using the Apple fitness app!
When I reached out to cancel and request a refund they said it’s not their policy and basically told me to go pound sand. They offered a cursory 50% refund after a lot of back and forth. Terrible experience. Don’t waste your money
Started great but keep getting buggier updates
2025-07-29
by Memememerttdhu
Joggo started out really great. However, the update 2 versions ago introduced a bug where audio cues only work about 10% of the time. When the audio cues are supposed to happen, your music fades and doesn’t come back so you have to pause and restart to get your music volume back. Last update (2days ago) seems to have only had an effect on the music fading. It only didn’t recover once. Since I have done the workouts before I know for the most part what the dip is sound is telling me to do. If I had never done the particular run, I would have no clue. If you are new to Joggo /program do not install it until these bugs are resolved. This costs way too much to have this level of trouble. I have submitted bug reports for each program I have completed and have had no acknowledgement from support that they’ve even been received. Very disappointed. Save your money.
Waste of money
2025-07-13
by BuffRuff
I’ve used other running apps and stupidly bought this one to switch it up and the others I’ve used are far superior. This one basically tracks your run speed and gps (great! Exactly what our smart phones and watches already do!) and then asks you to submit your feedback of how you felt afterwards and gives you options like I’m feeling “hateful” and “miserable”.. Joggo does the complete opposite of motivating you and just bums you out. Wish I would’ve spent my money on a new pair of running shoes rather than this worthless app :/
Not worth it
2025-10-01
by Henry DeRosa
Joggo is a waste of money. It is unclear how to move between levels and Joggo does not advance you. When questioned what goals needed to be reached to advance the instruction was given to advance it myself. With no clarification as to what I was not doing to advance through the program. Joggo stopped providing the voiceover instructions during the run and this did not resolve after removing and reinstalling several times. The run structures also did not make sense- for example I chose outdoor runs, warm up would be a 15 minute run, then there would be stretches which would include ones on the ground (when I would be on a street) and then the run exercise. Customer service varied between quick response and then several days for a response. This program is expensive and is not worth the money.
This company has you sign up on the website, pay, then at the end of the sign up directs you to their App where you are then asked all the same questions and asked to pay again! Then when you are fed up and ask for a refund their customer service asks for a receipt, you send the screen shot which clearly shows the order ID and email and then they respond saying they can’t find your email and asking if it could be some other email. This is clearly fraudulent and I’ll be reporting this company to the better business bureau as well as PayPal. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS, it’s a SCAM. Go with Joggo called “Running” that is white with a pink fire logo. You get what you pay for right away and that app has much more success.
Counterintuitive, poor support, still waiting for a refund
2025-02-22
by Busterbug
I am not new to running, but have gotten out of practice since Covid. I was hoping Joggo would help motivate, but it made no sense from the get go. After answering providing my age -51, weight 130, and beginner runner since I have not ran in a couple years, was I surprised to find that Joggo wanted me to run 40 minutes!. I decided to reach out to customer support for clarification, but that was not helpful at the moment. In the meantime, still could not find my running plan that I was supposed to have, so I reached out to customer support again. I did get a response two days later for my first question, but by then decided I wanted my money back. I have been reaching out to customer support repeatedly since, requesting refund, bit have yet to see it. I keep receiving canned emails about everyday, but nothing from customer support. Idid receive a canned email 2 days ago that said this app was deleting my account for inactivity. How nice. Will I get my money back now?
100% DO NOT RECOMMEND SCAM used to be RunningDiet
2025-03-26
by TamLyn0515
100% DO NOT RECOMMEND I purchased a plan for $66 on 02 MAR 21 with running diet… Joggo is basic at best and you can not do anything outside of Joggo like listen to music or a podcast or it stops it. I tried using it twice and then chalked it up as a loss. Not realizing I had agreed to automatic renewals and recurring charges I just went in about life… then on 02 MAR 22 when I get charged another $66 I reached out immediately to see how I am can cancel and possibly get a refund because again I have not used Joggo since MAR 21. They offered to give me a 50% refund since the authorization is in their terms and conditions when you purchase the annual and you have to contact them to cancel (unlike more established fitness apps that promote cancellation anytime… with a click of a button). So at this point I have spent $99 on a service/app I will not use. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND
Frustrating
2025-04-24
by Kss22289
I am beyond frustrated with Joggo. I bought it to help me have some better planned workouts. I have run a lot, including a marathon this past fall. I took a little break and I am getting back into it and I wanted something different than just printing off a training plan online. Printing something off would work better, Joggo is clunky, it is so hard to find the workouts beforehand and if you change the day you work out (say from Monday to Tuesday) it doesn’t let you enter information from a different day and thinks you missed your workout. Joggo is also not integrated with anything besides Apple Watch, I have a Garmin watch and it doesn’t work with my Garmin, so I end up tracking things in two places instead of Joggo I had to pay $30 for three months for. So what’s the point if I am not able to effectively use Joggo ?
Disappointed/No Data Tracking
2025-05-26
by Golfer1966
The workouts and structure are well thought out. I was extremely encouraged. However (and this is a big however) Joggo doesn’t store your workout data. I have no idea why Joggo provides pace and distance during the workout and then doesn’t save that information when you complete your workout. There is literally no way for you to track progress. I sent them a note and was informed that feature doesn’t exist. this app will not last. The workout app space is way too competitive for such an egregious omission to be overlooked.
Also, why would Joggo have an option for users to make comments after their workout and then not have those comments available for reference? Who designed this application? It’s just so frustratingly not thought out. I have cancelled my subscription.
Every negative thing anyone has mentioned in reviews is absolutely true. I wish I could give Joggo negative stars to deter others from throwing away their money. I’m a runner who’s done a marathon and dozens of halfs but after a year of injury and weight gain from the Quar, I wanted to get back on track with nutrition guidance and a plan that would support getting back into training again. I should have known better when there wasn’t a free version or even a trial period. Joggo is clearly a cash grab, has terrible practical functionality for workouts, and after more than a month, I still don’t have a nutrition plan loaded. I emailed the support address three times and had no acknowledgement over the course of a month. If you can’t support your service, maybe it’s not ready to launch? I paid to be an alpha tester, apparently.
Still a scam
2025-07-28
by Henryjackson82
It’s a scam. They responded to my earlier review saying customer support would reach out but the customer support team had already responded saying they weren’t going to help me. They could care less if your app doesn’t work. It’s overpriced and even tho I caught an auto recurring charge before it posted and asked for a refund to an app that DOES not work (it’s very buggy) and I did not use, the customer support team basically told me to get lost. I literally forgot I’d signed up for Joggo and had genuinely thought I’d canceled the auto renewal a year ago, but no, still charged me and even tho Joggo is unusable, no refund, not even a partial one. Scam. 5 star reviews aren’t real. Meh. Just save your money 😂 Apple should shut Joggo down!
Good idea, bad execution

by LittleBrash
Joggo helped at first. I enjoyed having healthy recipes at hand that were quick and didn’t have too many crazy hard to find ingredients. I also liked the idea that Joggo was sort of tracking my running to grade my performance by leves. However, I wish I had never gotten it now. Most features have crashed. It’s extremely glitchy. The nutrition plan (my favorite part) crashed and disappeared for a few days and when it came back the running plan crashed and disappeared. There are links to the “self-cancellation” page from Joggo but I only got an error page. Please please don’t bother. There are running tracker and coach apps that work so much better and I’ll gladly go back to googling recipes. :(
This app has potential

by Shu-Shu Fontana
There are a lot of great features in Joggo, but it has a couple of problem. The biggest issue is that sometimes it doesn’t record a workout, and you can’t go back and manually enter a workout. Joggo tries to motivate you through encouraging you to do the workouts that you schedule, and when it doesn’t record the workout it doesn’t show your progress accurately. I have it installed on my phone and my iPad and it doesn’t sync well between the two devices. Another thing I don’t like is that the first time you do the stretches it waits for you to complete the stretch before it advances, after that you need to have memorized the stretches. And finally, it does not recommend appropriate workouts for beginners. I tried it for a week and it was already adding running to the workouts. I know, it’s called this app not Walko, but if you are overweight and haven’t ran for years, should you be running right away? Joggo should have some user input as to when the user feels that they are ready to run, otherwise the user might try to run too soon, will get injured, and then give up. The developer could easily fix these issues and then I would recommend Joggo , but until then I think Joggo is overpriced and does not provide the proper motivation that I expected from an app.
Just ok, needs work on usability/practicality

I was looking for an app that would change up my typical running routine and help me lose some weight. I don’t find Joggo to be that helpful because 1. Unless I have location services on “always allow” Joggo won’t track my mileage on a run 2. Some of the workouts are not practical. For instance my last workout required drills on stairs. I live in the suburbs, there are no stairs to run up for 20 seconds. Sure, I could use a stair climber at a gym but I prefer to keep my workouts outside 3. I carry my phone when I run. If I’m doing a workout with speed drills Joggo keeps skipping to the next drill, maybe from the motion of my hand? Idk but it’s really annoying 4. More than once Joggo has just erased my run while I’m still running. Maybe I hit something by mistake (I do carry my phone), but if it’s that sensitive there should be something that comes up to confirm you want to delete a run. 5. If a warm up run is 20 minutes but I end up running for 30 minutes, the workout does not continue, it stops at 20 minutes and moves on to the next exercise.
First, I purchased an entire year of Joggo, up front (not recommended). I then was sick for a couple of weeks and did not start using Joggo , but keep getting emails hoping that “my runs are becoming a part of my weekly process”. Second, I have an Apple Watch, less than two months old, and Joggo has not once worked my full run. It starts but then sometime during the run, pauses. So when my 30 minute run ends, it says I ran 10:23. Ridiculous. Lastly, it does NOT automatically sync. You have to tell your watch to tell your phone that you want your run recorded, which is a pain, and since it’s wrong anyway, why bother? I would highly encourage waiting on Joggo until they bring some better tech folks on board, who can make Joggo work like it is supposed to.
Not smooth at all. Wait for them to work out the bugs before buying.

I wish I had been able to try a free trial of this first, because then I would not have continued using Joggo. Now I feel stuck because I’ve already paid. There are several ongoing issues with Joggo including:
-It turns down my music/podcasts to give the audio prompts, and then does not turn the volume back up -strength exercise demos rarely load, it’s just an endless loading screen -no flexibility. skipping workouts or changing dates that you are able to workout messes the whole plan up. I got sick (Covid) and wasnt able to run for two weeks. I completed the workouts later and app is still displaying the same workouts from week 1 and 2, and even says I “skipped” a workout that is scheduled for the future? -when there are stretches/exercises to do mid run, Joggo automatically skips them and moves on to the next running phase -Joggo has stopped recording my distance/pace despite allowing Joggo to use my location. As a result the latest assessment run I did shows I ran for 30 minutes and went nowhere, which feels like a waste
Overall there are way too many bugs that distract from the actual running. I regret this purchase and wish I could get a refund.
Runs don’t sync from watch
2026-09-30
by Bwhid
I love the workouts and the idea of the plan, unfortunately the runs don’t consistently sync from my apple watch even though they are logged in apple health and this app doesn’t progress me as it should. It’s a shame because otherwise the workouts and information are excellent. It’s just frustrating to do the work only to have Joggo ask you why you skipped and not be able to track progress. I worked with support to trouble shoot and was told the problem was fixed but the syncing issue persists.
Potentially user error?

by Amy.hodge4
Overall, I appreciate the concept of Joggo . The mix of strength training is helpful and for someone who really needed to start from ground 0, this is probably a good option. I’m frustrated that my indoor running/ walking isn’t captured. I’m also frustrated by the pace of the workouts- it seems like I’ve been walking for 2 weeks… and because most of my workouts happen inside, progress isn’t being tracked so I’m stuck at a lower level. This might be on me- perhaps there’s a way to bypass the disabled indoor map, but this also feels like a bug because my pedometer is supposed to be linked with Joggo , so in theory those indoor steps should still be captured? Again, this might be a user error, but I’m not feeling satisfied with Joggo (yet)
Clunky, not guided runs, and they don’t let you cancel subscription even after less than 24 hours

Just download the free Nike Run Club app and save yourself money. I had a not great experience with these app developers - I bought the subscription off of an Instagram ad (first mistake), and changed my mind less than a day later. Tried to cancel for a full refund and they only offered me a 50% discount. When I downloaded Joggo , it was not set up well and relative to the Nike Run Club free offering, this is lame.
I used Joggo for a couple weeks and it was not for me. There is nowhere on Joggo to cancel. I searched online and couldn’t find any customer service contact information anywhere. So I went into my app subscriptions on my phone and clicked to cancel. 6 months later I was charged $53 and when I responded to inquire as to why they claimed I never canceled and refused to refund me. After I pushed and pushed I was refunded only 50% even though I hadn’t used Joggo in 5 months and don’t intend to ever again.
Good idea, very motivating, but definitely lacking.

I want to start by saying I signed up for the option to get a full refund after I ran 26 miles. I completed that and received my refund immediately. So I’m impressed by that.
Now for the bad:
1. Doesn’t sync properly with other devices. Joggo on the phone and Joggo on my watch only work in harmony about 50% of the time. I usually start running apps on my phone, commence running, then check my progress via my apple watch during the run. With this app, I’d check my watch various times to find that Joggo hadn’t started. When I start Joggo on my watch, it would begin a totally new run.
2. No auto-pause/start. With other apps, when I stop running they pick up on that. With this app, I would finish running, but Joggo would still be going for hours later. Or when I paused Joggo for a second, and then continued a run, Joggo missed all of those miles because it didn’t resume.
3. Limited tracking. My least favorite aspect is that when I finish a scheduled run, Joggo stops tracking. Even if I keep running for another mile, it’s done. I would have to open Joggo , tell it I finished, save it, then select a free run to continue.
4. My last issue is that the weekly schedule was off. I started my first two week plan on a Wednesday, never missed a day, and did the assessment run. But then it wouldn’t start a new week for me the following Wednesday. It kept showing that my run would start at the beginning of a new week.
It’s ok, but it could be WAY better with a could have small fixes…especially for the price

I don’t mind a lot of the features, but there are also several that make it difficult to actually see my progress. For starters, the verbiage itself doesn’t coincide. It tells you to run with the goal of staying at a HR level 2, but then below explains what a HR level 3 is. I have been using my Apple Watch to track my HR instead of the this app app on my watch because it rarely tells me what HR I’m in anyways. Additionally, I just advanced to level 9, I wanted to read what was expected from me and the summary is for level 1, making it difficult to push myself. I hope the developers read this and made the verbiage change because how are your users supposed to know otherwise?

I’m sure this could be good for some people, but the scheduling and loss of progress if you change your workout days is too rigid. The only option for a workout is a “run” and if you want to walk for a whole workout, it’ll annoy you saying you’re moving too slow. The diet seems ok, but again, if you want to change the recommendations, good luck. You can log the recommended meal or skip it. Not select from a menu. I had trouble getting external apps to play music or podcasts to my AirPods while Joggo was running. The speaker worked fine, but ear buds would cut out. If you’re like me and want a refund, good luck with that, too. After just a few days, less than a week, I was offered 50%. Joggo wasn’t all I thought it should be and not going to use it. Do yourself a favor and stick with Apple Fitness, Map my Run, Runkeeper, or something like that.
Needs some work

I started Joggo on a Wednesday, so I did my initial run on a Wednesday. Joggo did not adjust subsequent scheduling to allow for this. My first run was scheduled for the day before I completed my initial run, and then my second run was scheduled for the very next day. There was no way to adjust this without changing the preferred days for running, which I did not want to change. Even though I am doing my second run today (Friday) there does not seem to be a way to communicate this to Joggo and Joggo has yesterday as a “missed“ run.
If it is best to start Joggo on a Sunday or Monday, that should be in the description or in the introductory email (probably both).
Right now I plan to continue through the two month period I signed up for. Uncertain if I will continue beyond that.
No complaints about Joggo in its’ workout functionality - actually very surprised at how well that works! It’s easy to keep track while exercising and it functions well there.
The issue is (and I’ve seen it posted here a bunch of times) is that Joggo isn’t tracking my data and syncing properly. Week 2 I was at 20-something miles and now I’m on week 3 and on my 10 run streak. Well now Joggo says I’m only on week 2 (exercise 4x week, 10 run streak and only week 2?? That math ain’t mathin) and I’m on 11 miles now. I have reached out to help desk numerous times and they give the same response everytime, update phone, delete and re-download app. And I say I’ve done that and then they go silent and I have to start the chat again. Not so good experience there.
Meh.

I come to Joggo as someone who used to be a very active runner (multiple marathons) who’s looking to get back into it after ~15 years off. I already found a favorite run tracker (WorkOutDoors), know what stretches work for me, am already very aware of my body and diet. I was looking for a virtual running coach, so figured I’d try this for a month.
I’m deleting it after my second run. On the first run after stretching, I start WorkOutDoors and this app and go. I look at this app a few minutes in, it’s still waiting for me to stretch. I skip through those prompts and it finally starts recording - 5 mins into the run. When I get home 25 minutes later, it’s congratulating me on my 10 minute run. 🤯 ok maybe I’ll just import the actual run from Strava/WOD. Nope - can’t find import functionality.
It cost me $25 over 2 runs to find out Joggo isn’t for me - 7 day trial is only available if you sign up for a multi-month subscription. I should give you no more than 2 stars, just for that.
All that said, I can see how Joggo would be useful for those new to running. But I think if you’ve run a 5k or more in the past, this is probably a pass.
Too rigid
2027-09-23
by Darkstarlux45
I find Joggo to be too rigid to be useful for me. This might be great for other people though, so I say try it out (shame they don’t offer a trial though).
I say this because I can’t always run on a set schedule due to work and personal life. It would be nice the ability to postpone a run.
Also the time commitment each workout requires is too variable, I should be able to have some say in the workout for that day. Maybe today I have time for a 20 minute workout but Joggo has picked a 60 minute workout, I should be able to change that. As now I’m just found to go for a straight 20 minute jog and not even use Joggo
Almost there but not quite. Needs more dev

Joggo is so very promising but has far too many bugs and glitches if you want to seriously utilize Joggo to become a stronger runner.
You can tell the content and training programs were created by athletes and trainers that know what they are doing but Joggo doesn’t reflect this knowledge very well.
Joggo doesn’t understand phone gestures properly so while doing spring and rests, for example, if the phone locks it skips the full segment of sprinting and goes to the next segment for a rest between sets.
There are no voice prompts between strength training exercises and there is not time between sets. There should be at least 10 seconds for transition.
If you decide to run with your phone, you can’t lock it as you stick it in your pocket because it won’t prompt you to what’s next or speak over your music.
There are better apps out there that cost much less for a better UX experience.
Really love the training - tech glitches
2027-10-12
by Tech Glitches
I love the training plan and when I use my iwatch it helps me keep my pace. However, the runs from my watch don’t cross over into the this app app (but do go into the health app) so I don’t get credit for the runs.
When I use my phone which I don’t love ito run with it doesn’t give me the pace or heart rate feedback. Talked to support and they have no idea what’s wrong.
I hope they can work out the glitches because I love the content.
I’ve been using this app for several weeks and it’s pretty great. Here are the things I love: Varied workouts that shake it up with some speed work and body weight exercises, easy-peasy recipes with macros calculated and LOTS of variety, helpful reminders that is ok to do as much as you can each workout and walk a little if needed, and accountability when runs are missed/celebrations of your running streak. Things that could use improvement: the ability to tell Joggo how much time I have for a workout (several times it was way too long for my window of opportunity), the ability to upload a run retroactively when I didn’t use Joggo to log in real time.
All in all, I really like it and highly recommend to someone who needs a little external motivation and good food resources.
Got me going! But not great for gym.
2024-09-10
by Melonsmango
I am 6 month in with this app and it has really got me on a steady workout schedule. I have improved my endurance and overall fitness.
I use the indoor setting and workout at the gym and I find some of the workouts unrealistic for machine workouts. Example: run uphill for 30 seconds and walk downhill for 1 minute. I have never seen a treadmill with a downhill setting, so I have to just walk flat. And, it takes the treadmill at least 10 seconds to get to the incline I want, that’s 30% of the run segment. Same with stairs. The workout says to run upstairs for 1 minute and then rest for 1 minute. I can’t get off the stairclimber, it would stop and it does not quickly get going again.
Helpful and Easy to Use

I downloaded this app to help me get back into running and also to see if I could lock start my metabolism as I seemed to stuck at the same weight for months. I can honestly say Joggo made it easy! They provide HR zones to focus on during your walks and runs, verbal cues during times runs, videos for the strength training days - NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED! You can use Joggo anywhere - but outdoors is most fun since the route is ever changing and can be made long or short according to the run you’re doing that day! I even added some small hills in during my runs that I normally would’ve avoided.
I do believe Joggo helped me kick back into gear! I lost 6 pounds in the 2 weeks I’ve been using it. I’m sleeping better and my mood is improved as a result of the exercise.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because I had some minor issues with Joggo not working right - initially. I’m happy to say that Customer service was great and responded very timely.
The best part - I earned a full refund of my paid price when I completed my 26.2 miles yesterday! So hey - a full refund is a great incentive - go ahead and check it out!!!

I am only giving Joggo a 4 star rating because there are a few things that I believe could be more efficient or user friendly. (Given I’ve only had Joggo for 2 weeks so I’m still figuring everything out). One issue is that the guide sound isn’t automatic and/or you can’t change it once the workout starts. Maybe that workout didn’t have a guide? I don’t always hold my phone so I don’t always pay attention to the very quaint and quick vibrate it gives when to rest or start the next set. Also this is just my preference. Some people might not want the sound or don’t have this problem. The only other thing is that when my screen goes off, Joggo doesn’t pick up my motion or forgets to remind me where I’m at on a run. For example, for a 20 minute run, I want to run out for the first half and be able to turn around for the second half to get back or close to back to where I started. My phone screen had turned off so I didn’t get the notification of being halfway done. I had to walk a few blocks to get back. Not a big deal worked as a good cool down. Just personal preference. If there are settings I can change or if it’s user error, please let me know so I can fix this! :) I’ve loved Joggo and the workouts being an ex-collegiate athlete. Keep up the good work!
Audio prompts are inconsistent
2028-07-28
by LynnJSM
I love the this app workouts, but the audio prompts for intervals only work about 20% of the time and sometimes they lower the volume on my music and then you can’t turn it back up unless you end the workout. It’s so frustrating. I started looking at the workouts and then just doing then without Joggo , but then what’s the point of Joggo ?! Lol
Just coming back to say that the audio prompts work now! I had cancelled my subscription but plan to renew now!
Things that are great: Love that it has you do a base run to determine your level (which is pretty spot on). Like the mixed workouts with different running lengths. Appreciate the heart rate zones that is shows me on my watch (super helpful). Love the Too slow and too fast cues.
Not great: the interval workouts are REALLY long and both times I’ve done them I haven’t been able to finish so I had to skip a set. Joggo must record this as a non finished activity and does not upload what I did do even though it was the hardest workout I did all week. Also, I’m on week three and could use a little more variety in the workouts.
Glad I signed up, I took a break from running and this has been a good way to get back to it.
After First Run
2028-05-19
by Rocking Ronin
Seems like a good program… writing a review after the first run seems a bit premature. My natural pace is a bit faster than the program expects … kept telling g me to slow down, and I felt like I was barely moving. Like that it leads me through stretches warmup and cool down exercises … I tend to be inconsistent with those and the program is a good reminder.
Would be better if I could add walks/hikes
2027-10-23
by Mike8722
I spent a few days in a space with no cell service and wanted to save my battery, so I didn’t run Joggo in hopes I could manually add my workout information later. Unfortunately I couldn’t, so it affected my streak and I got notifications about making sure to exercise as if I wasn’t. I wish I could upload/share information from my Fitbit, but oh well. I also entered my height in wrong by accident. so I’m not sure if my steps per mile in Joggo are as accurate. Otherwise Joggo works great and I’m hoping it will assist in my running and weight loss goals.
Great, but minor issues with app
2027-11-24
by Jessrunner
I love the idea of Joggo - but they’re are minor issues with the way Joggo ones. The notification between activities is a very small vibration that is easy to miss…especially during movement (they did say they are working on it for a future update). When I ran my assessment yesterday, I put my phone in my pocket and it ended the workout…so my assessment is not viable and with it being Sunday, I can’t access it to redo (it goes weekly, and resets on Sunday). The workouts are legit and I am surprised with how quickly it is helping me get back in shape - I am almost 40, but have (until the past few years) been in great shape. Highly recommend, but it is still a work in progress.
Love the app! But one slight technical difficulty
2027-12-25
by Summer_Sunshine21
Let me start by saying, Joggo is amazing. I’ve always struggled with holding myself accountable to running and working out… or even knowing where to begin. But Joggo does that and more! It’s amazing not feeling defeated at the end of a workout, but challenged. this app does that! I highly recommend. My one slight bug fix is that when you have workouts that require stretches or other strength training, it would show a demonstration. But just this last week the little demonstrations just show a loading option which is frustrating. Please fix this! I love Joggo but I don’t enjoy having to pause my workout to find an example of the stretch/workout I need to be doing.
I’m a previously seasoned, weekend warrior runner who has recently backed way off on my running. I decided to try out this app as a way to get back into it. I’ve been using this app for a few weeks. Due to my own lack of motivation and work schedule, I haven’t been religious about following my specific plan, but I do manage to run two times per week with Joggo , and am feeling motivated to do more. The gentle reminders in the notifications is helpful! I love that the program pulls me back to a normal pace when I start going too fast and start feeling cramps or out of breath. That’s been the mental adjustment I’ve needed for a long time now! When I’m at my best I run a 9:00 mile. But since I’ve slacked off, I’ve needed the gentle push Joggo gives me to fix my mental state with my running so that I can get back to where I was!! I also love the food plan. Very beneficial for someone like me who hates to plan and eats emotionally. Highly recommend Joggo for any phase of recreational runner; new, seasoned, young, young at heart - this is a great way to feel confident and get you on track to meet your goals!

I’m an avid runner, not new to training, yet my performance started to be stagnant, weight had gone up a little and I really wanted to improve my time. I find Joggo to be able to accurately adjust my workouts for desired results. I lost a few pounds within the first couple of weeks, I’ve been waking up that good kind of sore and I love that I don’t have to think of what my workouts will be. I have even been using the food recipes and log, which so didn’t think I would. I find the food plan to be balanced, filling and nutritious without any fad type of diet. Overall I feel like Joggo is a very practical and sensible approach to fitness, food and progression.
Highly recommend

I desperately needed to get back into exercise and losing baby weight after 2 kids, but didn’t know where to start. Joggo is geared toward endurance goals and weight loss (if you so choose). It gives you real time instructions and goals during workouts, stretching and strength training exercises. It gives feedback on speed. It allows you to still listen to your own music. Overall I am really liking it and have been motivated to stick with it, partly due to the laid out workout plan and consistency of the workouts. It was well worth the purchase price for me. And the customer service is great so far.

I like seeing what is coming. I also like to know I am making some progress. Joggo does this with their plan Laid out the week before. Also, I like knowing that if I go too hard Joggo will stop me and help me slow so as not to hurt myself and help me to keep going and maintain my goals. Lastly, I love the little education part of Joggo . It gives pointers and helps me to know what is next without making me read huge articles. Just a paragraph usually but still helpful.

I’ve had some health challenges for a few years that have kept me from having the energy to workout seriously. I love running but have been struggling with bad runners knee because of knee weakness during my time off. Finally got past that and found Joggo. I wanted to get back into running but it’s hard to get started from ground zero.
Joggo has been perfect. I like the mix of different run types and it really takes the guesswork out of where to start. I’ve found all of the runs so far to be not too hard but semi challenging which is just what I need right now.
I’m on level 4 and loving Joggo so far! I feel like the workouts escalate perfectly compared to a lot of running apps I’ve tried in the past which seem to get too hard too fast. The support team is super quick to help, even when I contact them on the weekends. The real hidden gem is the eating plans that I didn’t even know about when I signed up. You can pick your diet style, and it gives you meal plans with tons of mix and match options, portion sizes and macros, and a shopping list. I’m so satisfied with Joggo its 100% worth the money - which you can even earn back!

This is a highly impressive app. I’m a very busy woman and preparing meals can be difficult and a hassle while I’m on the go. I like Joggo as it has breakfast menus and nutritional value all the way up to dinner time. There are tips and articles how to get started while exercising as well as health and safety information, which I liked and find it to be quite unique! I highly recommend any of my friends and family that are looking to live a healthy lifestyle when busy.

Ads for this app filled my feed for weeks before I caved. I rolled my eyes at myself as I input my credit card information just knowing I was falling for a gimmick! But! I spend the same amount on coffee in a week so what did I really have to lose?! … I am only two weeks in, but man, was I wrong. Maybe the timing was just right but I truly appreciate Joggo! The workouts are quick & efficient. I am making progress & I love the tracking & encouragment. If you are on the fence with giving this app a try, stop straddling! Join us!! You won’t regret it!
I’m finally improving my running time

Y’all, Joggo has been really fun. Let me say, I love running, but I am a terrible runner. I was in the Army, I have joined runners clubs, and I dont need anyone else to motivate me to do my best, but I just havent been able to figure out how to improve my run time.
I shaved a minute off my pace per mile in two weeks. The last few months I have seen a 10 second improvement on pace per week. Joggo took the things I already knew and taught me where I was getting parts of my training wrong. The runs no longer feel like a constant 8 out of 10 in difficulty. I love this so much. :)
Joggo is so easy to use. You can see your workouts with each step of it explained with the info button. My level started out too easy, but it was a very easy fix to change it. I can see my progress within my level! I love the timer while I workout! It helps keep me track!! It’s a great app!

Joggo keeps me accountable and motivates me to stay on track with my running. It took me a few days of use to understand how to fully use Joggo . Also, not sure why I have to have location on all the time instead of when Joggo is open, but this doesn’t impact my experience.
