Its really bad not made well

So I downloaded GiveUsTheFloor to possibly make new friends and join groups. And while i did end up in a group you are only allowed to be in just that one they assigned you. The people in my group were rude and hateful and it was obvious it was just not a good fit. It made me sad because i had waited almost a month for them to assign me to this room when they said it should take no more than 10 days. And when I contacted support about being assigned a new group they basically said i was stuck with the one i had. Then i tried to report someone who was extremely mean to me when i was put in the room and then they continued to insult me and they were racist and homophobic against me even though GiveUsTheFloor is supposed to be lgbtqia+ friendly. Support did nothing about this and said it was my fault fir angering the other person when i had done nothing but introduced my self and told them my sexuality and pronouns. So basically if your lgbt and are thinking of getting GiveUsTheFloor dont waste your time its really set up bad and does not have a good system to group people.

Options of Logging In

I don’t have a phone number and I find it really hard to sign in without one, I would like if you guys had an option for email so we could log in another way

I was really excited to try GiveUsTheFloor but I guess I’ll have to wait until or if it’s ever added.

unprofessional and has stupid rules.

i asked the staff if the facilitators were adults and why they were monitoring group chats of teens on an app made to discuss our private issues and they responded very passive aggressively saying “again, its to protect you” not even answering my question and not even specifying how it “protects” you.

theres a very stupid rule about not being able to talk to group members one on one, but what if someone trusts one person over others and wants to talk to that person rather than pour their heart out to 20 people.
i got removed from my group for being “disrespectful” to my facilitator, when i was only standing up for myself and other members as they were being disrespectful towards us.
the staff member said we can’t one on one chat with one another because they cant monitor our texts, first of all, our conversations are our business, second of all, if you want to monitor our stuff, make a one on one chat feature IN GiveUsTheFloor .

Ehhhh

A few months ago I decided to download GiveUsTheFloor because of a AD on Instagram.
So, I go through the steps and make a account.
Eventually, it says that I have to wait to be put in a group. That’s fine however, I don’t like the idea of being CONFINED to one group. I would appreciate the fact that there would be the possibility of being in more than one group. That would make the service better.
I also dislike app/texting layout and it looks like it needs some improvement. It’s a really great start but bad execution.
Then I was basically pinned on the fact that I needed to do a survey for GiveUsTheFloor , I was annoyed that I got a “reminder” to do it.
But then I got three texts in a row regarding on becoming a filclator and “reminders” about it. So I’m like you know what, I don’t like them texting me so I text “STOP” then, I’m told that if I confirm my stop, I get removed from my group. So then I said no. And keep in mind the organization can message through GiveUsTheFloor it’s self. My inbox was empty.
Then my biggest pet peeve, which made me uninstall GiveUsTheFloor was the fact that I was getting texts regarding I need to do my part and text be active in my group. Like i get that but I don’t need a reminder for it. But something about the texts I’ve been getting make me uncomfortable. It’s almost like I’m getting punished for not partispaibgg in my group.
Overall it’s an okay app, but really wouldn’t recommend.😑

Unable to sign up

I’ve used this before when it was on snapchat, I just found GiveUsTheFloor for the group so I downloaded it. I tried signing up, but I couldn’t for some reason.

Very cool and good!

I’ve been in three groups so far(the first two dissolved, I think the main person who moderated the chat left) and they’ve all been really friendly! It’s all really supportive and hype.

Izumi

This is a really great app. I had been struggling with love and support in my life and once I joined give us the floor it took about a week or more to get out into a group and that helped with a lot of things I had been struggling with. It helped to just talk to someone about it. You get put into a group with people from all over the world. It’s an amazing app especially if you are struggling with things in life because everyone on GiveUsTheFloor is so supportive.

Amazing and highly recommended

GiveUsTheFloor is amazing. It is a great way for teens connect with other teens without actually knowing them in person but as you grow in GiveUsTheFloor , you get to know them and you become friends with them. I think it’s great that we can connect with other teams as I have been using GiveUsTheFloor for a month or so now I’ve loved it so far and I hope if you download it I hope you love it too.

Amazing App

This is a really great place for teenagers to share what they are going through, and get support from others. I have been using GiveUsTheFloor for a while, and it has helped me so much. Everyone is so supportive and kind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is having a touch time.

Pretty great

Its a good platform and the people in my group are active and friendly. Its a shame past conversations get deleted though. Despite that I do recommend it to people who need someone to talk to or just to have friends

Highly Recommend

GiveUsTheFloor is an incredible way for youth to express thoughts, emotions, questions, or even just a way to communicate in a non judgmental environment. With youth running the group chats and adult supervisors there for assistance when needed. It gives the youth and opportunity to share and learn from each other in a safe environment! It also provides a way for individuals to earn service hours by becoming a chat facilitator. I would highly recommend referring GiveUsTheFloor to someone who would benefit from it along with trying it out yourself!

Would highly recommend

Very supportive, been a facilitator for them for just about 3-4 months

Great app

GiveUsTheFloor is very helpful. My friends hardly answer their phones, but people on here are really supportive. They make me (a therapist friend) feel better. Five stars. ♡♡

5 Stars All Around

Easy to use, beautiful color schemes and designs, it’s perfect! A supportive place where people can reach out for help :-)

Great App (Read if you disagree)

GiveUsTheFloor is great for those in need of a support group or who need to share their feelings and experiences with others.

I want to remind anyone considering leaving a negative review based on the format/rules of the group that GiveUsTheFloor is supposed to be modeled after a therapy support group and isn’t a form of social media or texting. As someone whos been in multiple irl support groups, these rules are pretty universal and are in place to ensure the safety of members if someone voices intent to hurt themselves (this may seem annoying to those of you who want the freedom to share your true feelings or intents without consequence, but the the rules are there for a reason. if this is you, please work with the system and share how u feel anyways.(ik its scary, but itll help))

GUTF

This was so helpful to me gave me a place to be myself for a while until the people started being rude to me

Must get!

I made so many friends! The people here are so nice! They helped me through my dark journey. They helped me out of what I was going through!
