The game is great until you play against more than one other nation. I can’t solve the problem in which they all want to attack me. I am not expanding, I’m already getting attacked by another nation so I am just defending, and I gave the other nations gifts. However, that doesn’t stop the other nations from declaring war while I’m already getting attacked by someone else (that I didn’t declare with). I’m literally handing out gifts at the start of the game, and the nations start attacking me 5 turns later. As soon as the other nations expand and border my country, they declare war. Apparently they won’t stand by while I become so powerful, yet they are the ones expanding!!!!
“It may get difficult later in the game.”
I get that it should get more difficult. My complaint is that it doesn’t make sense. AI will just randomly go to war with you for any reason. It’s a luck of the drawl. They find every reason to start attacking you rather than each other. They focus the player regardless of what they do. If I wanted to play the roll of a dice game domination game, I would play risk. The developer will even tell you not to worry about building alliances. Puts options in the game that even they know makes no sense because it’s random.

This game is essentially just a more in-depth version of Risk. I liked it overall, but there’s quite a few problems with the game itself. For one, the tutorial is separated into many parts based on what it’s teaching you, but the content in each segment overlaps. I went through the whole tutorial and felt like it would’ve been less confusing and time-consuming to figure the gameplay out on my own. Second, the graphics of the troop movements glitch from time to time. Either your armies become temporarily invisible, or your ships move through land terrain for no reason. Third, the in-game messages when you complete an objective (like defeating a nation or fulfilling a win condition) take up most of the screen and cover each other if there are multiple at the same time. This makes it very hard to determine if the game has ended or what your next objectives are. Also, the game has a tab on the title screen labeled “Buy” which informs you that purchasing the game will remove ads. I’ve played the game for a couple hours in total and have yet to see a single ad. Maybe that’s more of a good thing, but it also seems like it could be a way to get peoples money without changing the game in any way.

I have played a couple of games of the whole world map and I’ve notice that your allies aren’t really allies they leave you instantly it feels and you can be as best of friends with a nation and they turn on you in one turn. I was playing a game as Prussia and I was doing well I was best friends with Russia next thing I know they turn on me and invade me. Then other countries would declare war on me. So I had a total of 6 countries declare war on me out of the blue and I couldn’t do anything and they were all superpowers as well. The whole corruption aspect in the game is dumb and becomes ridiculous late game when over half of your income is just gone. I feel as if you should make it so we don’t have to play with corruption because I stood no chance with the little income I was getting because of the corruption. The AI is just ridiculous how it goes from one extreme to the next… I made peace with many nations and they would just declare war on me the next turn so what is even the point of paying a country for peace. All in all there is a lot of mechanics I feel in the game that just ruin it because of how ridiculous they are.
