Managers

It’s a solid game but having to wait 30 minutes to watch a 30 second ad to get manager cards that has a low chance of dropping the manager card you need is annoying. Not to mention that the only time you really make profit is by staring at the game 2 hours straight instead of going idle. To make matters worst the only way to get Sales managers AND Workshop managers is through gems. 300 for Sales and 150 for Workshop. But you earn 10-15 gems for completing task. This game essentially want you to drop 20 dollars in order to make some actual progress but in reality it’s probably not worth it seeing how I was able to get to the second to the computerized sawmill with more level 3 managers than anything else. Manager levels in my opinion should be capped at level 4 and to buy workshop and sales manager should be decreased dramatically seeing how hard it to get manager cards for your actual sawmill forcing you to waste gems on the cards if you want to make some kind of process. The last problem I have is the orders you have to stay on for 2 minutes of the game to get an order drops 9 biz points, 4 tool kits, or 4 paint buckets, it’s extremely inefficient. We do have a manager that completes idle orders that give you more money tho, but if you want to make actual progress you have to be active on the game and deal with ads and terrible RNG and you will be punished if you rush your saw mills cuz then you have more manager cards you have to try and unlock.

Save your Time

While this game is a lot of fun in the beginning (which i feel like is exactly how they hook you), it just seems too easy in the beginning and then as you progress, the less things are actually automated.. the more mills you purchase the more you need to upgrade your managers. Well you better hope that when you actually watch the ads to get the boxes or you actually buy the boxes with your gems or whatever that you actually get the cards to level up the actual manager you need… don’t even think about trying to use the actual gems to just purchase the next level manager because that’s gonna cost you 400 gems eventually. it is very fun in the beginning i’ll give the game developers that but why would you require me to have higher level managers the more i upgrade the saw mills. i understand maybe for the equipment, but it doesn’t make much sense for me to be at the 6th saw mill and have mill workers doing things by hand again and everything getting backed up, and truck drivers falling asleep and forklift drivers falling asleep. don’t even try to leave the game on over night or anything because again, the drivers just fall asleep.. so save your 4-5 days of time of grinding and watching hours and hours of ads just to make it impossible to level things back up. thanks but no thanks.

Not an idle game

The game is pretty good and fun but the “idle tycoon” part is pretty misleading. To truly progress in this game you need to complete orders. You build wood and sell them through these orders to get money and materials. If you aren’t completing orders, all of your tools get backed up and eventually stop because there is a storage capacity (which is fine). But this is where the problem comes in. The orders are manual so you have to accept them. They don’t take long to complete and take about two minutes to refresh. They don’t refresh if you are idle, which is issue. The two minutes only refresh when you are playing the game which is garbage. My battery gets drained and this game now becomes a non idle game and I am now forced to sit here watching nothingness just to make sure I can progress. Now you can unlock managers to help run orders that earn the money in the game, which almost makes it idle. But the orders needed to progress earn materials. Money only helps to a certain point and then you need materials to unlock challenges that help you love forward. Now I have only been playing for about 5 days but this is kind of upsetting when I leave the game for a few hours, to come back and see that I still have 110 seconds left on the two minute timer. It’s honestly a turn off and doesn’t live to the true name of idle tycoon.

Could be so much more

This game is boring and could be so much more. It’s to straight forward, and it doesn’t last that long. I understand that it is geared more towards younger audiences but it could be so much more. I like that it’s simulated based on reality but it doesn’t contained all the factors of reality. It should contain more negative factors but doesn’t. They have a few, such as keeping employees awake and working and making sure you have enough supply to meet the demand.

But they could include more negative factors to add a little bit of difficulty to the objective. The game designers could add the factor of machines breaking down or equipment breaking down and maybe making sure to maintain the equipment. Another thing the designers could add is the fact that employees get sick and have to be absent from work, or they take time off from work for various reasons. Another thing is natural disasters happen, should as storms or a fire breaks out in areas of an operations. One other factor could be to include rainfall into the factor which could slow or speed up the process of tree growth.

This would add some difficulty to factor into the gameplay as one try’s to become successful at progressing farther. Like I said, the game is geared more towards 8-12 year olds mostly but I think this could broaden their fan base to include more age groups and still be clean gameplay and fun to play.

Game makes you spend all your money in popup tutorials then makes you start from scratch

This game is so incredibly frustrating. I was enjoying this game quite a bit. That is, until I was able to build myself a nice little process and save up a lot of money. Then, a popup tutorial came and forced me to spend all of my money, millions of in-game dollars. I was infuriated. I hate saving up al of that money just to have my hand forced into doing something I don’t want to do. I already had the hang of the game. I didn’t need another stupid tutorial.

But that wasn’t even the worst part. After I acquiesced and made the forced purchase, it reset all my previous systems back to zero. Removed all my hires, removed the upgrades I had made on my equipment, everything. I completely undermined all my hard work and time. All the time I wasted watching ads and tweaking things to be just the way I wanted. I could bot believe that was the outcome.

What an immensely idiotic way to design a game. I’m so glad I did not rate this game with in the period of time I was actually enjoying it. Which was very brief. Serious question developers: what makes you think people want to play a game where they have to spend significant time to develop things the way they want only to then have their choice completely removed then all their hard work undone? Unbelievable.

Rng isn’t great

Every time you get a crate it is most likely gonna be a Darius or Tyler. I’m not sure if you have a higher chance to get them since they’re early and maybe considered common cards but it’s just too much. Especially during events, I learned to not rush through it and at first and slowly get the managers to get them running efficiently. I only have the 1 debarker and 2 cantings and want to get the truck, storage, and forklift managers out of the way but instead I have none of those and lvl 4&5 Darius and Tyler’s. Literally out of the countless crates they have ONLY been those 2. Yes it says I can get those cards but I have only gotten those 2 and I don’t find that fair. The chances for each card should be divided equally and with those two cards that level it shows that they aren’t and I don’t think it’s fair that I have to spend money on a free game to fairly play. If you want more people to stick around either take out rng and have them as wild cards you earn through the game (hopefully not through ads) or just make the rng make sense (like equally divided odds, different types of crates for that row of machines for better chances to get what you need, or the wildcard thing). Seriously about to stop playing

Another typical greed move

The latest update is a typical money grab from greedy developers. I paid for no ads as well as double income but will not be spending another cent on this game. Before the latest update I was really enjoying the game. Then they removed receiving gems for maxed managers and instead give worthless biz points. What good are biz points if the majority of managers are maxed? Progress is only really made with gems to purchase workshop and epic manager cards. If I could get a refund of the money I’ve spent, I’d request it. When are these companies going to be held accountable for screwing over their own community for their own games? I’d love to see more people boycotting developers for making these types of choices. They have no problem biting the hand that feeds them so why support them? Lets quit feeding them. Mobile games are a dime a dozen, it’s not worth supporting greed and corruption. This is the first review that I have written so clearly I have had enough of these companies. I guess this is the straw that broke the camels back. Don’t waste your time or money on this game and please don’t support this developer until they show they care about their player community. Also, please don’t fall for the excuse they will give for making this change. It’s for one reason only, making more money on gem sales.

Great Game - Events Need a New Coat of Paint

This game is a fantastic little idle game, and the updates they just pushed out for VIP members (thanks for it being a flat one time thing instead of being some subscription that makes no sense also) makes it worthwhile for the VIP purchase.
It’s an idle game, it’s going to get redundant. But the upgrades in your Sawmill make it worth it.
My only thing is that the Events are lacking only because there’s only two alternate sawmills. Other idle games have at least four different event areas. And while Medieval and Western are fun, maybe we can see some other events in the future?
Maybe a futuristic space one, a ninja one, a pirate one, a spooky/horror theme, or even a post apocalyptic theme? Possibilities are endless, and the way that the developers have put effort into designing different machines and dressing the little avatars per the theme have been amazing.
Other than that, solid idle game. It still holds my attention.

Major bug with events

Update: I’ve changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars. I withheld the 5th star solely because of the bug and how long it took to resolve. But I must say, the in-app chat with support is great, and the team was extremely helpful. Although the issue took several hours to resolve, they were very kind and customer oriented throughout. I am extremely satisfied with this support experience.

Overall a solid game. I’ve really enjoyed since I found it about a week ago. I chose to pay for ad-free gameplay to avoid issues mentioned in other reviews, and everything in the main game has been great so far. However, I have to give it a low rating for a very important reason. The most recent weekend event ended a while ago. And I had reached the highest rewards tier. The issue is I never received any of the rewards. There was no error message, and the event link just disappeared from the main game, no rewards in sight. I spent several hours each day of the event playing to collect all rewards, so now I feel like my time has been completely wasted, and I’m not sure if it’s even worth playing future events at all…

Game is Fun, But There’s Some Bugs

This game is fun, I’ll admit but there appear to be some issues. I noticed that if you level up a machine it will lower the cash per minute rate, which I think it should increase the amount per minute. It also appears, that when you watch the videos to have 2x money, it starts going and then bam, you 1 hour long 2x money boost is done in 10 minutes, HOW? And Why is not an actual hour. It also occurred to me that you shouldn’t buy a lot of lumberjacks, cause you’ll end up with too much wood and be backed up, cause your machines are too slow, and you can’t upgrade them unless your managers are a certain level. I think if you have the money you should be able to upgrade your machines, and have the managers just increase speed and money produced. It makes the game slower and unless you want to wait, you have to pour money into gems to then open boxes to “hopefully” have a chance to get the cards you need to upgrade your manager for the specific machine you want to upgrade. This leads me into my last annoyance, the amount of different managers you have to per area. Why isn’t one manager who manages all the specific machine in an area enough?

ads hungry

I’ve been playing this game for three days now very addictive but you can’t Advance your production if you don’t sell your product you can’t sell your product unless if you watch ads want to skip the ads pay real money need your production to go faster you need real money to get managers for your production line just to find out your managers had to be levelled up to even get the job done I have money but I’m not going to spend it on this game even though i’m a paid to play gamer to get not that far into this game just to have something else hold up the production so how the game goes as you fill up your production line things look great in till you can’t sell you lumber without getting ripped off or you have to watch an ad want you getting done selling your lumber to feel eight order things are backing up you have to wait two minutes before you can purchase another order to get ripped off again unless if you watch an ad to skip that two minutes then your production line is for if you don’t do it because your stockpile is for your lines are for so you don’t make any money until you Watch a ad I can go on forever that’s why I’m deleting this game and don’t recommend it

Not an Idle Game, Relies on Bad RNG and Ads

It’s fun at first but things quickly go downhill once you need to progress further than the first sawmill/canting machine. You have to earn manager cards but you’re forced to watch ads to get them and 90% of the time it won’t even give you the cards you actually need, just back to back Darius cards when his debarker’s speed is already max. Everything is constantly backed up because of this. You could purchase cards with gems but the missions are an absolute joke. 2/3 of my missions right now are to upgrade the sawmill which only puts you back at square one of needing to upgrade the managers to properly run your mill. I don’t understand why you need to physically keep the game open for the sawmill orders to cooldown either. Earning money in this game is virtually worthless as most of your time is spent waiting for orders to refresh so you can hope for a crate or just the materials you need to build houses. The devs keep claiming that they take feedback seriously but I see that nothing has changed in months from reviews with the same complaints. I wouldn’t recommend this game.

Fun for about a day, then…

Where to start? I spent a solid day playing the pants off this game. The first few hours you progress fairly quickly. That comes to a screeching halt when you get to the ‘modern sawmill’. I don’t really understand the thought behind completely wiping your factory clean of all progress when you level up to the next factory. I guess to keep it interesting? You get to keep your managers progress through each level, which is a plus. It’s basically impossible to progress beyond the modern sawmill and upgrade managers without getting out your wallet or watching loads of ads. Also, I don’t think it’s fair to call this an idle game when it only runs for 2 hours in the background. I finally stopped playing after a few days because I felt like the goalposts were constantly being moved on me, which doesn’t make for a fun experience in a game. The fork truck drivers were also not the brightest bulbs in the lamp. I gave this 3 stars because I did enjoy the graphics and overall concept. Lots of promise here, just needs some work.

A good game for VIP

I tried playing this game in free and the ads weren’t tolerable. I have no trouble spending a little money on something I find entertaining, so tried the VIP membership. It’s pretty good in this mode with no ads and 2x income multiplier.

My play style is a few hours a day while doing something else like playing the game while on the subway or watching TV.

I will say that it still has a lot of hurry up and wait situations where you’ll be waiting on timers to run out, or you can spend gems. (Waiting for new jobs, etc.)

The mini events are fun, but I’ll say that if your goal is to get a legendary card, the events length usually aren’t long enough unless you either 1. Spend a ton of real money on card packs or 2. Spend the entire length of the event with the game open and actively playing. As a casual player (maybe 1-2 hours per day), there’s no way to get all of the awards on the 2 day events without spending real money on upgrades and card packs. I even tried increasing my play time for one event just to see if it were possible to complete it, it’s just unattainable unless I spent all weekend playing or spent real money.

As a note to the developers, a nice way to set the mini event length might be to adjust the length of the event to each user based on their average play time/session time. It’s frustrating to never achieve the top goal of the event and discourages users from participating when all of their effort only achieves 40% of the goal.

Worthless

You know this game has potential but it is just an ad viewing game. It says ages 4 plus but but it is all about getting you to watch ads. Once you get so far 1 hour or so in it makes restart and dot is all over again. No way to buy the full version with out going through the ads over and over what 4 year old is going to sign up for cripto currency. Also at 3 different times in the first hour it would freeze and ask that you are 16+. Unless you just want to sit there and watch 30 to 45 second ads every 3 mins don’t download. Yes you can buy a version with no ads it is only good for 30 mins. Then when you buy other items in the game you are forced to restart and loose Everything. This game developer just just me taking in the ad Revenue since some of the ads not only make you watch they also have no way to close the ad at the end with out clicking the Get Now type link to open what Ever it is in to IdleLumberEmpire Store. Only good about the game is it does not force you to download that app from the ad just go to it in the store then close out and you can then close the ad to go make to the game.

What a scam!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE!

I recently started playing and progressing through the levels. I started building a new project in the workshop when I realized I didn’t have enough storage to finish it. I wasn’t able to cancel the workshop project and could only upgrade my storage by slowly earning diamonds or making a purchase. Without the rewards from the workshop I wasn’t able to continue leveling up and my whole game was at a standstill. This update fixed that!!! Not only do I now have enough storage to finish my project thanks to the update, I now have the choice to cancel projects should I get myself into this situation again. Thank you again for the update! I have been playing a short time and was very invested before my game came to a standstill. Now I am able to continue playing and leveling up!

Okay, but not enough content

This game was fun for about a week. Unless I’m missing something, I’ve pretty much completely plateaued and beat the game. The only thing I have left is to upgrade the overall factory for small increases in production. I can’t earn any more gems it seems, I’ve unlocked all the production lines, and I have maxed out all the forklifts to max level. The managers it seems could continue to upgrade infinitely, but I’ve only been playing a week a two. That’s crazy fast to complete an idle game. Definitely needs more content to keep me playing.

I’m not really sure what my next goal is supposed to be. Maybe a whole new factory (with different colors and textures). Maybe the different kinds of trees shouldn’t just be cosmetic. Maybe you should use the different kinds of trees to create different valued woods. Make it so that after you would finish all the upgrades you unlock a new kind of tree and basically start over at a new factory with new more valuable wood. Just an idea.

Needs a way to make the milling lines faster

I love this game. I spend more money than I’m proud of in this game. But I have 3 major concerns and criticisms.

First of is that the fact that the lumberjacks and debarkers are so much faster than the milling lines that it causes a huge backup of logs. It makes it so the debarkers almost never run because the debarked log storage is always full. Please add a way to make the milling lines even faster so that it doesn’t seem so backed up

Second is that the workshop tokens need an increase in the amount you get per order. I know you can upgrade a worker to give more but it takes so long to build them up that it seems like I have nothing to do but just wait.

Third is that you should add a 4th milling line. After you collect all 9 of them you have basically finished the game. The only point of continuing is to go to a new factory but the only thing new in the late factory’s is just a money increase. You should add more lines after sanding to make us keep having something to aim at getting.

And finally you should add different factories that you can work on simultaneously. Like in a lot of other idle games for example adventure capitalist. You can work on earth but then once you get really far into it, you unlock mars. Something like that should be added so we have something to do while we wait for our workshop orders to complete.

Great game, too imbalanced to enjoy consistently

Same model as other idle clickers that goes beyond with features like the very small but open world to roam. The ability to sort of first person to see everything up close is amazing!!

ads are frequent, as with other similar game formats but I was ok with a lot of them because they enabled me to advanced the game at a reasonable pace.

At issue for me as a three month old customer however is that after the very first plant upgrade, the component requires to build the next level of product in the games (houses) changed from minutes to days. That happened not because it takes days to get through but because the ingredients like paint and nails took minutes to acquire each and many of them were needed to complete the project. I cannot level the plant to level 3 unless I make at least 3 or 5 houses. But, with each house taking maybe a collective 20-30 minutes to make I move on to other games while I’m waiting and happily watch their ads because I can progress the game in a timely manner.

Feeling this way at level two has convinced me that every subsequent level will involve progressively and noticeably longer and longer wait times. I just don’t want to fall in love with a game now only to be even more frustrated later.

Sorry guys, you really need to look much more closely at time/ad balancing in this game to bring me back.

Big issue

I downloaded this game a few days ago and I was really enjoying the game I leveled all my work stations up and was getting lots of money. However when I tried to get into the game the next day in the loading screen it said *looks like your not connected to the internet* but I know for a fact I was connected to the internet so I got out of the game restarted my phone made sure I was on Wi-Fi and still the same massage popped up. I then deleted the game and reinstalled it got into the game and thought I fixed whatever the problem was I played it for about an hour got off the game and a little while later I wanted to play again and the same thing happened *looks like your not connected to the internet* so I repeated what I did when this happened the first time and still the same issue. So love the game when it’s working but this is really frustrating that it does this every time I want to play it again.

Good game but stale in content

This idle game is great if you need something to do for a little while. It’s fun and just cool to watch all the workers get lumber set. Still requires your attention to set goals and complete orders so you have to be active to do that but your income from the NPCs running the mill gives you income. Downside though! And this is why they get 4 instead of 5. Season passes are $9.99 I’ve played idle games before and this is robbery. $4.99 would be better but lower than that is always preferred. $9.99 is just bad. Second you have events every 2-3 days that las for 48hours. This is great because you get extra for reaching milestones but it seems the devs have something against the player here. In order to make your machines go faster the supervisor at that station needs to be leveled up with cards you get from crates and while you can get a lot of crates and all supervisors at the station are the basic cards you get. You’ll find that you will get more of some then others making it impossible to reach certain milestones in income for the event. Basically one station can have a maxed out speed due to your supervisor level but in another you won’t have a single card to upgrade them and it clogs the work load. The events are pay to win but the rest of the game doesn’t seem to be a required buy in unless you want the $9.99 ad-free boosts.

New update

Its nice to finally see some change, especially the fact that Larry, Gary and Samuel can exceed their max level caps. Although I find it hilarious that all the cards i have gotten for them before this update have still gone to a waste. It was a disappointment when you stopped giving diamonds for cards that couldnt be used and it felt pointless when you started giving bizpoints instead. I have over 300k bizpoints, getting useless cards and being given bizpoints doesnt seem right.
Also it seems every other event, the final card you earn is for Evelyn. I have not needed one of her cards ever. I have all the little forests unlocked and i have the lumberjacks and tree planters maxed out. I havent run low on tree’s in forever and getting an Evelyn card feels like a huge disappointment and a massive waste of time after spending 2-3 days on an event trying to complete it. Especially the event that just ended where it claimed I didnt complete it (the final challenge is make 50ac and i had over 10ad when it ended) so it gave me the option to purchase the final mystery card with 150 diamonds, which i did just to get an Evelyn card and regret it. On top of that the diamonds are far too expensive its really ridiculous and knowing i wasted 150 on that one useless card was annoying. Thats $5 worth of diamonds if i were to purchase them. I hope this new update changes some things because as i get to higher levels its feeling less fun and more of a waste of my time.

Machines and Boosts throttled during events

I love this game. Got the VIP membership to get rid of ads. But I’ve noticed over the last couple months that I fail to complete the Tuesday and Friday events. I take advantage of most of the VIP, Extra Logs, 2X Boost, and Order Boosts. BUT nearly every time I click the 2X boost, production seems to be throttled. The workers move faster, sometimes the production output doubles on the individual machines, but doesn’t reflect in total output report. More often than not, the increases are a small fraction of whatever output shows on a machine before hand and when the boost expires, it cuts to lower output than when I began the boost. This most recent Tuesday I had one of the first two machines up to 1.5b output BEFORE the 2x boost. When the boost went on, it stayed at only 1.5b. The total output report showed 1.5b. The math didn’t math. Output at 2X should have been 3.0. During the boost I leveled up that machine, so output went from 1.5 to 3.1 and when boost cut off, production went back to 1.4b. So I lost .1b output. It seems to be hit and miss. Sometimes the machines and reports show 2x, but a lot of the times the numbers are not accurate and I end up losing output. I’m a casual spender, but I’m not paying for anymore packs if this continues.

Not an idle game!

Okay, I want to give this game 5 stars, I really do. It looks nice, it is fun, and it seems to be made well. However this game is advertised wrong. This is not an idle game, you cannot progress to the different stages of the sawmill without being in the game for extended periods of time. You must build house to get one of the specific currencies to upgrade to the next level of a sawmill. The only way to build houses is to do an ungodly amount of orders to get the items necessary to build a house. The only way to do orders is to be in the game to accept the order see it fulfilled and wait the timer for the next order. So is the game fun? Yes! Do I still play the game? Yes! Is this the style of game I thought I was downloading? Absolutely not!

Edit: Thanks for responding!

However none of that changes my initial review. The only thing you gain from being idle is money. Early on in the sawmill stage money becomes useless. The only way to progress to the next sawmill stage is completing homes/cabins. The items needed cannot be collected by being idle. They require a ton of time in game. This is not very idle for an idle game. Again I enjoy the game and I put in the effort to keep going, but this game is not idle. Nails and paint require lots of time in game completing LOTS of orders.

Does not sync progress reliably with Apple account

Having switched devices, the initial reconnect went fine- however after accidentally opening IdleLumberEmpire on the original device a few weeks later… it looks like the ‘good luck’ I had during the first half of current the event was wasted, as trying to check in on the event resulted in both devices thinking I had not started the event.

Speaking of events, both themes are largely down to RNG as to if you get a few key things within the first 30 ads, or within the first 10 after things start to plateau. The ‘worst’ part with the events is that they effectively prevent you from being able to make progress on your ‘real’ mill, as both tend to require waiting out timers to see if the next set of potential payouts is going to contain a helpful option.

The number of daily ads vs. enjoyment will vary for folks, but if you find yourself installing it on a second device due to the high demand of active screen time that events seem to require… make sure you uninstall it from the first one.

Pretty fun

It is a fun idle game to play. However there are many issues that are hard to ignore. On the playing screen of the game I have, at minimum, around 18 menus to click on. Just under half of those menus have constant red exclamation marks that don’t go away until you watch an ad, so it is both cluttered and confusing. I don’t like how you need to upgrade your managers after upgrading your factory to evolve to levels you could in the previous factory you were in. As an addition to that point, it’s too hard to get managers, and even harder to upgrade them. You need to get the coins from doing orders, but you also need to do the orders to get screws and stuff for your workshop. There’s a lot that’s good about the game but these issues are just hard to ignore. There’s probably a little more that I’m missing but these are just some of the main problems I have. Actually, I forgot one more thing. The people sleeping in the vehicles is really annoying and should get or removed. It’s just repetitive and hurts gameplay for no reason

By

Requires constant active participation

The game starts off fun and progresses quickly enough. The mill interaction with the workshop and village are good and not overwhelming. The game collects money for short durations while your away that you can use to upgrade some things. However, after a few factory upgrades and opening of the workshop it becomes apparent that the only way to progress is to complete “orders”. This is how you upgrade supervisors (which control production speeds) and how you get tools and paint for the workshop. The supervisor upgrades start taking a ton of cards and those are given in orders only sometimes and only with ads. And only a couple at a time and which ones you get are random.

So the real problem. Fortunately, orders come through every ~2 minutes and take <1 min to complete. Unfortunately, the orders have to be accepted manually AND that is 1-2 minutes is of active play. If your phone goes idle after a minute the countdown stops until you are actively playing again. And so the only way to progress is to sit with the game open and active waiting for the next order and then actively clicking on it and repeat. Not really an “idle” game at all. Needs to be updated with some ability for passive play progress.

Good bones, needs some tweaking

The base game premise is pretty cool. The level progression and ability to earn the resources you need to play the game is pretty well setup, but there’s a small caveat. Some resources have to be earned through orders. The special orders for workshop items require you to keep your phone on and IdleLumberEmpire open to progress through. This is very annoying and there’s an opportunity to improve the idle playing feature here.

Another idle feature that needs fixed is the managers. Managers add boosts to resource production but also allow jobs to run automatically. It makes sense to earn cards to upgrade managers for this auto feature BUT it doesn’t make sense to have to upgrade managers AGAIN after every new factory upgrade. This mirrors the issue with workshop orders, the user has to have the game and phone open the whole time to make sure the jobs are getting done or no resources are produced.

For these reasons I’ve chosen to remove the game from my phone. I’ll check in again at some point to see if these things are fixed.

Fun in the beginning then the fun drops off fast.

Great game leveling up your first couple of lumber mills. Then each lumber mill upgrade forces you to start your mill from scratch and then you have to watch hours upon hours of advertisement videos to progress at a snails pace. The level upgrades offer nothing new, just the same game at a slower more expensive pace. The latest update offers new outfits for the mill managers to wear, which provide only minor confusing benefits to your lumber mill, stupidest upgrade to any game I’ve ever played. That being said I still find myself gravitating towards the game and watching the stupid advertisements. I paid for the pass upgrade once but will never again. Do yourself a favor and don’t be me. Additionally, the game doesn’t even closely match the advertisements that get you to try it. If you look further in the reviews thay state “ Thank you! Your feedback is very important to us! Maybe you will see such gameplay one day! Creation of new features is not a quick process, and it requires patience :). All I have to say is if the gameplay is not currently available, don’t advertise that it is. Sad to be deleting IdleLumberEmpire after hundreds of hours of play. It really had potential.

Game is fun to play

Had a great time playing the game. It is a learning curve as the direction of how to play the game tapers off once you get up a few levels. Overall game play is fair. One thing I would like to change is the VIP awards. Once you are in the upper levels the cash it gives you makes it pointless. As all you are really doing is looking for materials to build houses. Which becomes a long wait as you only get material’s from orders and even then it is small and you might not get what you need. The outfits are only based on getting more cash so I hardly ever look at it. I like playing the events but you must be playing for orders to complete. That’s fine if I had all day to play. Cards are setup to be given as you progress to a point then it only gives you cards for mills you have and not the ones you need to speed up the sanders causing the game to just grind to a halt. When I see the sanders 1 unlock que I roll my eyes because I know all that work I just put in to get speed up is for nothing and I have to grind it for a week to get speed back up.

Game Is Fun but Frustrating

Generally the game is fun enough but frustrating when it comes to certain points, especially in the events. You have to get achievements of upgrading machines and in order to optimize the speed on certain machines, you need manager cards. But the cards required to evolve are so rare that you end up with thousands of biz points but not enough manager cards. So your production slows to a crawl and takes ages to get the money to upgrade the machines.

Also the support messaging system is practically useless. My game stopped working, support messages wouldn’t go through, and I had to write a 1 star review to get a response. (Also tried sending a request for help outside the game and got no response at all.) Found the fix in the Facebook group written by another user days before getting a reply to the one star review. After the fix, I reached out to support about lost time due to the game glitch and falling in rank on the event (meaning I missed out on rewards). After explaining the issue, they just stopped responding. Didn’t even close the message so I can’t start a new support inquiry about anything else even if I needed to.

So overall, when it works, it’s a fun idle game, but when it doesn’t work, it’s frustrating at best and useless at worst. And don’t expect much help out of the support feature.
