I don’t know why PetsHome is rated 4yo+ because this should NOT be accessible to children. There needs to be age restrictions and ID verifications. I’m pretty sure that I ran into a child on PetsHome that wanted to “buy” my dog but her “mom” had the money; it’s ridiculous for a child to negotiate any financial interaction. Also, just know that you need a monthly subscription to even respond back to messages. It’s only $2 at this point but I wasn’t aware of that when I downloaded it. So now I have no real buyers, and I’m losing money in a monthly subscription. There is also no way to filter my searches because there isn’t even a search button. You can “like”/“favorite” listings but there is no place in PetsHome to look at all your “favorites”, it’s just one very long thread of posts. So if I see an animal I’m interested in, I have to remember exactly where I saw it on the thread and find it again. There is no way to delete messages, not even by blocking them. PetsHome needs major improvement.

If I could give zero stars, I would. PetsHome is a joke, don’t waste your time and money. You have to pay to respond to people and then after you pay, the only people who contact you on PetsHome , are people looking to scam you. They ask for your number and then try to either get you to take down the post, with promise they will send a check via fedex, or they will send you fake emails from a Zelle account and try to get you to send money to them. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I reported someone trying to scam me multiple times, yet PetsHome developers let the person keep there account and continue to try to scam people. PetsHome is such a joke.

I had to pay 5 dollars to text people back after they asked me about a dog and all the people that asked were scams. They ripped me off and stole my information. Over the 18 people that asked they were all scams. I do not recommend PetsHome.

I feel PetsHome is a waste of time. Nothing but scammers ,here’s an idea have sellers and buyers verify that they are real people before they can use PetsHome . Example upload ID that way if they are scamming you know who these people are and possibly can take legal action against them.

They ask you to pay to chat and post which is ok since it’s like $4 but the only people who seem to be on there are a bunch of scammers. I had better luck with Craigslist which is completely free to use. Don’t waste your time or money till the developers of PetsHome do a better job to filter out fakers.

Horrible app! Only two responses or messages over the course of several weeks and I suspect both were scammers. They couldn’t even put a sentence together, referred to my puppy as, “it”. Wouldn’t give information re the environment or setting in which the puppy would live or about themselves. Very shady. I removed PetsHome . Buyer beware.

Nothing but scams. Every single time I update a post I would get a scammer trying to phish info from me or just waste my time. Plus it said nowhere that you had to have a subscription in order to chat until you try to respond. 2 week trial is a joke. I actually want to find my pets a nice home but PetsHome is not it.

I’ve paid for the monthly subscription to use PetsHome & for majority of the time I couldn’t access my messages still can’t & just paid for it again. I’ve contacted the help about it still no help & it’s really a bummer because I came across some really good deal pets & very adorable but can’t see their messages back

I should’ve read the reviews first. I’m not sure how this developer was able to get so many fake five stars. Any app that opens with the preface trying to convey that they are a legitimate app is probably a red flag. Along with poor grammar anyhow, you post your ad, you get a fake response of interest so then you upgrade and then you don’t get any more responses and the person who wrote you never writes you back nor is there any information about “pet lover“

This is a bot ran app, Full of bugs. My post accumulated over 40 views while in the review stage meaning no one but the apps authorizers should be able to see it. but still it gained views and I received a message , Then the view counter restarted once approved I also have messages that I cannot see nor reply to even after purchasing the subscription. If you take the time to read the reviews first. You should save your time a find a actually good platform. 0 stars Craigslist is 10/10 compared to this.

Be on alert there’s some peep here sending out fake checks. Thanks god for cashapp alert me this person was report for scam and others reason. And if this person never ask you abt info on these pets you selling or rehoming. It scam. Trying get more access to your information. And disrupt your banks account from the check. And have multiple name that don’t sound right. I didn’t lost anything but wasn’t able to rehome these kittens quickly. My trust issues builds up more.

Also you will have to pay subscription for reply the message back and to boost your post which is ridiculous.

Be careful with scammers, people send you messages asking if the puppies are still available and asking for price. Then they will tell you that they’re not able to pick up the puppy due to busy schedule and they offer extra money saying that will send a cashier check and after it clears they’ll arrange the pick up. Usually that people send checks that look genuine but after a few weeks the bank notifies that the check is fraudulent. I’ve seen those scams before. Thanks God I trusted my instincts and did not reply back. That people did not even want to come to meet the puppies or make a face time call, they also referrers to the puppies as “it”.

We had are animals listed for over 3 months and very few ppl even looked at them. It doesn’t help rehome any pets. And PetsHome itself doesn’t work properly. It’s way to slow. My advice don’t waste your time or money on PetsHome!!!

It lets you set up an account, post an ad but then when someone messages you that’s interested it makes you pay to message them back. Should have been clear about costs from the beginning.

I created and account and subscribe and payed 3.99 it logged me out of my account and it doesn’t let me log back in with the same number and I created another account and it happen the same thing.

I think it is confusing to follow. I kept looking for a help button but finally did it. Also you want a nickname and I have tried multiple times and none work even the craziest ones in the world and you can’t tell me every nickname possible is taken. It’s bull.

I’m paying for PetsHome , but I had to create a new account. My subscription seems to have disappeared completely even though I just paid $3.99 for it. Not sure I’m going to be getting my messages either. Reached out to customer service, but I haven’t heard anything about it. Not happy!

I needed to find a reliable app with an exceptional rating to sell/rehome my pets. I love PetsHome so far and will highly recommend.
