The most powerful hunters are locked behind a paywall. If you want to have fun you have to pay money otherwise you lose a majority of the games against the people who bought the objectively best characters. This is not cosmetics these are actual characters that are objectively more powerful than the free ones. Every other game with playable characters in an arena or shooter setting (call of duty, wild rift, mobile legends, even games like tales of Convallaria, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Genshin Impact) either have a free to play option where in theory you have access to everything the other players have access to but requiring more effort, have a completely grindable character pool where you can unlock any new character or get the resources to buy them if you play enough, or a luck system for draws that you can earn by playing that allow you to get new characters. In those games the developers care about the player experience and respect you, in this game they don’t even try to hide the fact that you only get to play the full version of the game if you spend money

Really could be a good game.. massive glitches. Massive hacker meetup hotspot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Constantly. No support at all anywhere. No chat at all. Not in game chat at all. No messages to friends or anything. Cant mic. Can’t do anything about afks. NO REPORT AT ALL . Massive disgusting disgrace of the Star Wars name. Terrible hero conceptions. Horrible I mean absolutely horrible UI interfacing. Horrible response time. Min of 300 matches and every single one is bugged beyond belief and again no way at all to get support or any proper fixes. Edit: has gotten worse with the hackers and still no report. Ranked feeders constantly. Queuing with bronze teams when in next to max ranking. No flipping chat system… how does a game not have chat in any way. Massive mistake of a game. Terrible application. Could be great but the balance is absolutely atrocious. Massive letdown. Disgrace to Star Wars in every way. Not a single good design in any way. Oh on top of that they expect mass spending on a daily min. If not an hour to hour basis. Intend to have to break your bank(more likely your parents bank) Every day I’m going to come back to edit this so it shows up again until you at the very least add a chat system so you can tell the stupid people stop being dumb and rushing in 1 by 1. This game is just a ripoff off overwatch and it shows. Now going in loving star wars I went in with an open mind because I love mobile shooter games but anytime I wanted to play I would get bombarded with pop ups trying to make me buy their premium battle pass for this crappy game. Having to wait over a minute to get into a game it was not worth playing to have all my teammates be bots. This game might be better if it had a bigger player base, but from what I played it was not worth playing 4-5 games before I was in one with actually players. Also unlocked characters is a huge grind just to unlock the Jedi. I mean for me I downloaded just to play as him, but being the last to unlock made it anti-climactic to have to grind unlock him. Or you could pay for the battle and unlock the sith, but who wants to pay for a character on a game they haven’t played yet? Just the clear reskin of a failed game with Star Wars covered in everything makes me feel like I’m playing a ripoff game completely. Again I will say it was excruciating to have to wait MINUTES to be played in game only to lose terribly from bots being the majority of my team. Not worth playing, if anything it pushed me back onto COD mobile because it does not have any of these issues and if they do it’s minor. So if you are looking for a game to play it’s not this one.

I really wanted to like this game, and at first I had a really good time, and enjoyed the unique characters and overall vibe of the game. But it’s matchup system is absolute trash. I literally cannot win a single match after reaching gold rank. There NEEDS to be a better balancing or team up system because every match I get is like going against an impossible team who’s just better at EVERYTHING regardless of what you or your team does. It’s a mess, and not a hot one. Also, the friend system really needs working too. When I team up with someone and if we win like 3-5 matches, and lose one they just leave and act like you never existed, or ditch you for another party/remove you. The community is seriously nasty and toxic so far... At least in my current experience. I tried my best to give this game a chance, but it’s just not looking good at all. There’s WAY too much that needs working on. If things don’t change fast, I seriously don’t see this game lasting long. Which is really sad, because we do need more GOOD multiplayer Star Wars games. Maybe I’ll return if I hear things get better, but for now I’m just leaving this game.

Don’t let all the good reviews fool you. Those are probably people who paid to get later game characters or those who are using the op characters. This game needs an update bad. Some of the characters are wayyyyyyyyyy over powered. Healing is ridiculously over powered to where they can heal faster than they take damage. Ranked is in the toilet. You’ll be gold ranking and be stuck with a shmuck that gets 1 kill with 10 deaths bringing the team down to a loss. Doesn’t matter how well you do as long as you have a waste of space dragging your team down you still get negative marks. Most people only care about the kills so they don’t even try with the objectives. At least allow us to pick what kind of game we want to be in instead of random. This way if people only care about getting kills then they can just play team death match. There’s been people cheating on the game since day 1 and they do absolutely nothing about it. Honestly this would be an amazing game, but it needs a lot of work to get to that point.

The overall progression system is fine (besides the unlocks taking a huge amount of time which I don’t mind). But the only issue I have is the matching making system is so terrible. For reference, I am level 14, played for about 2 weeks now on and off. There are games where I am facing level 7s and 8s. Since they are new to the game, obviously the skills between the opponents and myself is quite unbalanced. However, the next match consists of the opponent all level 40-50. While my teammates are an average level of 6-9. I get that they need to balance the matches by placing tougher opponents in them and it is not perfect of course. But the fact that out of my 10 matches, 7 of them consists of facing opponents that were triple my level. The only thing holding back this game is the terrible match making they have in place. Maybe I don’t know, splitting up the lobby that are 50s into each time so that one team doesn’t obliterate the other. Keep in mind, I don’t enjoy playing against those who recently started out. So that is why once I know the level or rank of those opponents, I can guarantee my next match being a loss due to the inconsistency of skill level.

Game not to bad, got other fun games like fortnite and I get that pass for free grinding my daily’s in save to world. Plus there are other games that are more fun that has season passes I rather get them then this one. Also character locked behind paywall for 59 days is lame. Got a feeling they going to add woke stuff to game since it Disney and they been doing bad movies for years now and race swapping characters like Snow White or any character thats white as it appears they hate whites at this point. My opinion from actions they have done and a person can look up them selves.

The game has promise and graphics are on par with any mobile online shooter. However, the default HUD layout is awful, meaning you will constantly be hitting things accidentally as all your ability buttons are way too close together. This is exacerbated by the fact that if you are using a blaster character you will be dragging your thumb across the right side of the screen.

I am surprised that with such a high profile release basic features regarding re-organizing the HUD and adjusting button size are not standard. As of this review, there are only two layouts, phone and tablet. This, in my opinion, renders the game unplayable in its current state.

The gameplay itself can be good but the pay to win model is super aggressive in this game anything and everything has a price tag on it and its not the typical mobile game $1.99 $2.99 they are charging $10 $20 $35 for characters or skins in a mobile game. the purchasable content is constant and always in your face even if you don't plan on buying anything you will constantly be bombarded with pop up "pay to get this bundle" every time you go back to the menu it makes it hard to ignore and just enjoy the game

UPDATE: since they did not release Aran tal as unlockable after the first season, there are definitely concerns about the long term viability of this game. That was a real bummer. Downgraded rating from 5 to 3 as a result as this could really kill the long term community. Will revise later if this gets addressed!

Lifelong Star Wars fan and software Product Manager: They do a good job balancing the monetization goals while also not making it paid to win. It is a little spammy with the notifications, that is one thing I wish they would not do as much of. But the gameplay is strong and reminiscent of Star Wars for sure. A couple other areas they could improve: - ranked battles don’t take into account the rank of the person who beat you. There are times we were playing a team of all kyber one and we get penalized for losing to them. Also ranked should not match people who are solo with people who are in teams. It’s not that fair. -more huttball and things like that!!! It’s amazing. -keep making the game enticing for free players as well as paid players and you’ll see long-term retention and an active player base. - better social features or ability to form longer term groups. Really like the social incentives in this game and the low barrier to connecting with others. - more fun stickers!!

I am an avid player of mobile games. I have been enjoying Star Wars Hunters heavily and am currently focusing on playing ranked. This game has a very very high potential to gain a much larger competitive fan base on mobile platforms, there is just one key thing holding it back that I see no one addressing in these reviews. Adding a hud customization option would significantly impact the amount of people like me, who love competing in games on their tablets and phones, willingness to even try to get into it. The only reason I pushed through the fact that I could not customize my hud is that I am a huge fan of Star Wars and the games that inspire this one. Almost every single person who plays these games competatively and are actually interested in climbing leaderboards and participating in tournaments uses an interface completely or even slightly modified, and the ability to dictate how you input commands makes all the difference. As a player and a fan, I seriously ask you guys over in the development team to add this feature and really think it will be a complete net gain attracting new players and increasing the overall “playability” for those such as myself.

First off, starting the game it’s really fun… You unlock new hunters as you progress and level them up. Etc. Wash, rinse and repeat… Then you run into the new hunters locked behind a $10 paywall. To add insult to injury the amount of bots in the ranked games is completely unacceptable. You know they’re bots when they have the default “jedi_xxxx” player name when you’re playing in a ranked game. And they are TRASH! They run around are basically canon fodder to help the other team win… So far the devs have not done anything about this. Don’t put bots in ranked matches. I’m ok with waiting a little longer for actual REAL PLAYERS if it means not having worthless bots on my team! But then again, the devs don’t care about that. They just want your time and money. So with all that being said, if you don’t mind crappy bots who will lose your ranked match then this is the game for you. If you want to actually WIN, then find another game. Peace out Girl Scout .

Relatively good game! BUT....
1. Where is the control setting? Disgusting , the game looks like it 's made of automatic shooting ! Wasn't it possible to make even the simplest setup?
2. Why do you need coins when there are only two out of a "million" items in the store for coins?
Yes, the game has just been released , at the development stage , but elementary things could have been done before the release ... while the game is 3 stars with a stretch, let's see what happens next , but they have not yet delivered a good control setup - it is impossible to play it.
But we made so many skins , so many different tasks and quests that we completely forgot about management !

Ok, I had little hopes of it being good but it’s pretty decent with some flaws. The lack of a bigger roster of “hunters” is one of em I have yet to find that hunter that fits my play style in games like this. Being a hero shooter I would of expected more modes stuff like king of the hill and hard points. I came back after it first came out cause well Tal came out at least I might as well experience it. But I need more melee hero’s a mando with a sword or dark saber would sell me for sure but I’ll wait for that.

I’m a bit disappointed not gonna lie everything is that same but the pass is my personal problem you have your hunters path of the original cast, then you got your almost “pay to win” character Tal is new and behind a paywall the day he comes out. I personally don’t want the pass I don’t care for the cosmetics but being forced to buy it to play the hunter which I suspect will be the case for every new hunter every season is what turns me away from games. I was gonna play him and be like hey i can keep it on my phone now I think I found the hunter that’s fun for me but thats just fantasy i have never seen this before and I
Hope it changes in the future or at least give a way buy the hunters in game will the coins you have already remember those yeah let’s use em.

I think this is my first ever app review! If you love Star Wars and Overwatch type games then Hunters is a perfect match. I’d recommend it to anyone! This game is very much not a pay to win game. Everything that makes your character better is equally earned just the same as anyone else playing.

However the UI is terribly cluttered. There’s 6 tabs, multiple storefront boxes, like 5(?) achievement boxes, and so much more.
Micro transaction pop ups are also very constant. Often times I’ll finish a match and get hit with a tricky: “want to buy a skin for $1?” And only realize when StarWars Store / switch store pops up asking for money

The game works on the now typical in game earn-able currency (coins) and earned/purchased gems. They say you can use coins to buy skins, but in all practicality you can only use them to buy the lesser color palette skins. The costume nice skins are only acquired through payment.

I can’t overstate how fun and fair the actual gameplay is! But Lucasfilm/Disney please reel back the in your face UI/Transactions. It makes the game feel less like a real title (Fortnite/Overwatch) and more like any of the other hundreds of cash grab fad games

In all aspects of the game, it is awesome! It is something that I was very excited for, and hope the future updates improve the game further! I only have two main issues, which I will describe in the following review.

Issue 1. Trolls.
No, not the movie, the people. Really the worst troll is an AFK troll. In my opinion, these… people… make the match unfair, and if by some chance we DO win, they are rewarded just as much as the next person, despite being USELESS.

Issue 2. Pricing.
Now, I know that as a free game, the developers need transactions to support development. But seriously. I don’t want to pay ten bucks for the battle pass. Some of the prices are reasonable, but some are insane. Now I kind of feel bad saying this is an issue, but while it doesn’t directly affect gameplay, I would like to get a new hunter by just playing, not paying. (Hey that rhymed!)

Cheats?
I fully understand this is a mobile game, and I don’t know if you can even port cheats to a mobile app, and yet I seem to be getting sniped-through cover by Diego, or certain character abilities recharge WAY faster than the norm. And I mean way faster. Like, I don’t-care-if-you-nuke-me-3-times-I-will-just-spam-heal faster.

All in all, it is a wonderful game, and my hopes are high. Keep up the good work devs!

Gameplay was executed very well with a quick and easy tutorial, having you shoot automatically so you can move around. All original characters so don’t expect Vader or Luke as characters. Most of the characters that are in the game are locked but not too “grindy” to unlock. Graphics aren’t as good as it looks in the gameplay ads but personally forgiving. Definitely needs music variety. The current one sounds amazing but the loop could get annoying after a while if I plan to play long term. The micro transactions are cheap. They should show when you’re with or fighting a bot because so far in the game it’s so easy to the point that it feels every game is full of them. 4 out of 5 because I can see myself playing this in the future, not only because I'm a Star Wars fan, but because if I were generally bored I’d turn to this.

Starting with the problems, there’s really only 3 things that I can think of that needs improvement, and there not really a big deal. Of course it’s a game with random player match making so there will always be problems with high level players ending up with people that started 2 hours ago. but again that’s every game with match making. 2 thing is just the fact that I’m getting in game coins but there’s not not much to do with them. I’m glad that you can buy cosmetics but you get like 6 random things to buy and they take 9 or so days to shuffle. Not a super big deal but if there was more stuff to do with coins i would actually spend time in the shop. And the last thing is just the fact that I'm already a little bored of the game modes that are on there. Honestly if you add like a payload game mode I would be happy. Also the “Events” are the same 2-3 events every 3 days. I know this is just a mobile game and content is limited (this is also a brand new game). So maybe I just need to wait for more things to be added. BUT this game is pretty fun I’ve played it for about a month now and I do give it 4 stars.

So far the game is great. Simple, fun competitive gameplay. However I think a few things could make the experience better. Add more uses for the credits currency. Currently you can only buy a few cosmetic items that are currently in the store and don’t refresh until a week later. Adding More playable characters would improve overall experience I’m sure that this is already in the works. Possibly adding a feature that forces the players to build a balanced team in ranked competitive play. Also customization so far is pretty decent but it’s not really difficult to obtain. I think that leveling up the character is a great way to unlock new cosmetics and whatnot but hopefully in the future there are even more cosmetic options that require you to more difficult tasks/challenges. The daily or just any event challenges are pretty easy to complete. Speaking of customization it would be cool to see a wider variety of option including different lightsaber colors for the two lightsaber wielding characters. Also more maps would be great to see in the near future. Look forward to hear about new updates! Overall great game

I love this game! Hopefully they can keep new content like maps and characters coming in the future, but right now, it’s great and i’m enjoying it so much, i feel like i'm playing a fully completed game. I do have one issue though, and that is the point system. I wish there were more merit awards and badges to earn during matches for xp after, and i find that the point tracking is often, well, interesting? so many times i find myself getting off number scores, whether it be oddly high or oddly low and sometimes i just feel like there should be more reward. especially for support characters, they are my personal favorite and i feel like i get no credit being in the bottom of the leaderboard when i spent the entire match preventingA SINGLE death on my entire team. But besides that, it really is great. amazing content and great gameplay!

It has a great idea to it, great soundtrack and everything. However I feel that there are not enough people in the matches, I often am just looking around for someone to fight. Also, add multiple game modes, ie:Paylod, capture points, and king of the hill. Also, add speed differences, in many games the speed of characters can affect the feel, if you have a low health character it should move faster for fairness and a better feeling. Now, a tank character with high health should move slower to account for in game extra armor they would theoretically have on, and heavier weapons.
All in all, great game, but if you implement these features, I guarantee you it will be much better and won’t die out. Basically it will produce more money over longer periods of time.

There’s no reason why as a maxed out Tank Brawler I get stunned at full health and become basically a free kill. I was once stunned for what almost 15 secs and there’s nothing I came do about it. U guys need to add armor on certain ultimates like Slingshots for example. I can understand being able to damage him while he uses it, but people are able to make me waste it as him because stuns stop ultimates and cannot be blocked even with a shield. Dying to a stun as such feels so cheap and is extremely frustrating. Edit- u guys need to fix ranked match making. There’s no reason why I should be getting a team of 3 other people who are in the last bottom league for ranked when I already hit the top latter. It’s extremely annoying losing matches in ranked cause I have a sorry team that I shouldn’t even be paired with. It’s one thing to lose, but another thing to lose like that

I love the game and will continue to play it. Great graphics and a fun premise to most game modes. But the matchmaking is unbelievably one sided at times. I understand that it will happen from time to time but there are times when one game after another is completely one sided against overpowered players. Completely takes the fun away. I would rather wait for a well matched game as opposed to getting thrown into a total slaughter. And some players simply toy with you when they can easily win the game on an objective mode. People trying to pad stats against lower level players. Causes teammates to quit and you spawn and die very quickly. Very disheartening. I think there is a lot of potential to this game but some of us play to have fun, not feed our egos. I’m a life long Star Wars fan and think there is something good here. But some matchmaking issues could be better. I hope it improves.

This game is great, and I see people with reviews saying that it’s “a disgrace to Star Wars”. I don’t believe that. Yeah it may not be battlefront II, and it may lack some things I would have wanted but it makes up for it with fun gameplay and great graphics. And to those people who are basing there entire review off of “droids can’t do force stuff”, let me just say DID YOU EVEN READ THE DESCRIPTION?! It’s a droid programmed to think it has the force but really dosent. One of its moves is literally, faux pull. FAUX MEANS FAKE. Anyways, 4 stars for things that would have been a nice addition, but great game overall. EDIT: ok it took a tumble without the customizable button layout and automatic shooting, however it’s still a great game for a person who wants a Star Wars game that’s good or good in the making. PS the Wookiee (groz or something) is way to overpowered. In the movies they CANNOT REGENERATE HEALTH AT AN INSANE RATE. Only trandotions and rodians can do that, please debuff the Wookiee

I’m a sentinel main and I feel like he’s balanced and most of the other characters but all the others have overpowered special abilities First Charr has a lot of health which I get it he is a tank class, but why did y’all give him a regeneration ability where if he gets hit, he heals and a trap where people can’t move? I feel like he is way too overpowered to be with anyone else and he’s ultimate turn the damage down. Utooni does damage through the blast shield and I know that Utooni is a damage character but he does way to much damage if sentinel is a tank character and die in like 5 or 8 hits imagine what he does to non tank classes. Skora’s ultimate is way to good in the control game modes the poison splat thing kills me fast especially when I’m getting shot at. It’s a glitch in the game with sentinel some attacks go through the shield for example Skora shoots at my shield but it does damage to my health.

I won’t lie this have been very fun and your characters have a pretty amazing features and amazing matches all of it is nice, but like any other game it always goes with the problem of being too much pay it is still just the first season so I won’t do much but one thing is for certain that we need some changes in the matches we are unable to change back into a character because once we choose it that’s the one we gotta use, I would like that you gave players a chance to change just in case they pressed the wrong character by mistake, and please for the love of god give more stuff to buy with coins because all I see are just purple gems left and right and not a single coin to use on and buy and it is just one, you guys putted a mission where we had to use up 2.5k of coins and there was nothing to buy with coins cause I already bought them. Even so for now like I said this is just the first season so you can probably make changes and if your putting new characters all I gotta say is good luck with the balancing

After having spent a lot of time with this game (i pushed all the way to the end of kyber in first season) I can say this game is a lot of fun to play. The character design is creative and and the gameplay loop is very attention catching. Skill also lends itself well to the game.

My one complaint is the way they lay out the monetization. Most free games with a battle pass would give you the opportunity to buy said pass with in game currency thus rewarding players for grinding to the end of the pass and laying for large amounts of time. Hunters doesn’t do that.

You can only buy their battle pass with actual money. On top of that they will give you missions to spend real money and keep new heroes (whom in terms of this season are very powerful) behind a irl money paywall even after the season ends. In my opinion they should either make the battle pass available buy grinding out crystals, thus encouraging long time play. Or at alternatively release last seasons hero when a new season kicks off (or at least make THAT hero available with crystals) I think these are the only things holding the game back from being a five star phone game in my opinion.

I like how each hunter has an assigned weapon plus additional abilities that can be used. I also like the map sizes and differences. I like the different Hunters and classes, and that the game is free with paywalls for minor things like cosmetics and the new hunter character - they don’t impede me leveling up characters. My only complaint is the interface and menus are cluttered (separate from battles) I’m getting acquainted with them, but it’s a lot to get familiar with. I’m hoping more levels and hunters become available down the line (even if new hunters are accessible only via purchase - that’s about all I’d put money toward in the game TBH) but overall, I’m really liking this game. For me, this is taking the place of Modern Combat Versus, which I invested a lot of time into, but was pulled from StarWars Store.

I want to start by saying the game is fun. I don’t have to much time player yet but these are just my initial thoughts. I think the gameplay is fun but I could see it getting repetitive. The game basically is Overwatch style shooter but with the Star Wars universe and that’s not a bad thing but hard not to compare them. The art style is cool so far the maps are awesome and being free to play is a bonus. I will say biggest complaint is the matches are a bit short but overall I will continue to play and I hope the switch port gets supported a lot and mobile

I think the idea of a 4v4 with Star Wars characters is excellent as I loved the Star Wars battlefront games. I’m always a fan of hero shooters and this one is the best hero shooter I’ve seen so far as a mobile game but there is a few issues I’d like to bring up. Most of the melee heroes take mostly zero effort to play and are too overly effective I think they have a movement nerf to make them more balanced or atleast have it where they actually have to aim and press a button to swing there melee is actually so brainless it requires 0 skill and it’s just unfun to fight. Second complaint is that ultimates and abilities recharge way too fast since there is ultimate charge stations lying around everywhere they should just make your ult charge rely on doing damage like all the other hero shooters. And my third complaint is stuns… nobody likes to be stunned and not being able to play the game for a few seconds please remove them or atleast just make them balanced once you get stunned in this game it’s just a instant death because you can’t move.. anyways 4 out of 5 stars it would be 5 if it was more balanced!

This game is so awesome!!! That John Williams Star Wars soundtrack playing in the background as you attack your opponent with a cheering arena around you…such a great idea for a game.
Although, there could be improvements.
First of all, I understand the game just started, but there are only 9 or 10 hunters total. I’d like to see this number grow exponentially in the future! For example, Brawl Stars has 60-something brawlers.
Secondly, I love the ideas of skins and costumes, as well as weapon wraps!! But, could we see more of those for each character? Don’t feel afraid to branch out a bit. I was kind of let down to see the Sentinel Stormtrooper only have a few skins with bland reds, blues and yellows. Try a death trooper perhaps, with blacks and greens, or a first order trooper, with the sleek new armor.
Anyway, awesome game! Huge Star Wars fan.

I have enjoyed the game very much, and I’ve noticed the personality and style of the game is quite similar to Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch games. I have only one complaint; This game has pay to win tendencies. The weapon upgrades with your level is kind of worrying, and so is certain characters (see Aran Tal) only being playable through a season pass. I have practiced him in the training mode (which I do like how we get to use everyone endlessly) and believe him to be a strong character. I am simply worried that by paying the amount of money to unlock the pass, we are also unlocking an unfair advantage to some other players. I enjoy the game quite a bit, and love how it is set. Additionally, I am in no way saying that those characters be nerfed, but perhaps we can re-arrange them going forward. Thank you, and may the force be with you.

A customizable button layout should’ve been done for mobile already, it’s the only reason everyone else is complaining (and the reason I have 4 stars). Also add a different button for the zip line as it makes it difficult to use characters that have jump attacks like Alan Tal and Rieve when near one.

Besides that, the game is polished, smooth, and looks like a a console game. The characters all feel different from each other which makes learning them very fun! The characters all seem somewhat balanced, but then again it’s only been a couple of days since released.

It’s obvious a lot of work and passion was put into the game and with time (and more characters) I can see this as a strong mobile game! Good Job Zynga!

Matches are short, objectives are clear, the Hunter progression system feels attainable and meaningful. Combat feels good, and though everything could use a balance-pass, nothing feels broken.

Now the less-than-good. Yes, it’s a free mobile game. Totally understood. But $40 for one cosmetic pack is ludicrous. I’m writing this in the first half of season 1, so we’ll see how they handle unlocking Aran Tal after the season’s over, but locking a whole character behind a paywall seems kind of disruptive.

I’m interested to see what game modes they come up with. I was really into Rogue Company for a while, a game this feels similar to, and I can’t help but wonder what elements of that game they could pull into this.

Search and destroy mode? Payload mode? Something completely new?

Also not really a demerit of the game, but to see Zynga use the same tired, obnoxious, mobile game ad campaign tropes to market this game is a little disheartening. This game stands apart from a legion of soulless cash grabs, no need to make ads that make it look like it doesn’t.

Overall, I’m playing the heck out of this game and I’m excited to see where it goes.

So close! This game is amazing to be honest, but I have one complaint. Support characters don’t get enough points for healing or supporting their teammates. I was playing Zaina in the team death match and had been doing an enormous amount of healing the entire game. The entire round I only had one teammate die. We got 25 kills in my team and only 1 person died! Not only that but I had 9 kills which was 2 less than the leading player and 6 assists which was 3 more than the leading player. He had 11 kills and 1 death and 3 assists, he was the only person on my team to die. So you would assume that due to the impact of my heals and support I would have the highest score right? No. I had 725 and he had 905. He was leading by 180 points, even after dying once. Please fix the point system! What’s the point of trying to support and heal my team if I don’t get rewarded for it? I’m playing a support character as well which made it even harder to get those 9 kills, he played a damage character. I’m not a game dev but if I could give a recommendation try to find a balance so that players are rewarded more for performing their role, or maybe give supports more points for kills since it’s harder to kill players as a support? I don’t know what would help but please fix this issue. It’s not fun to see that even though I’m the most effective player on my team I lose in points because of having 2 less kills as a support.

Star Wars hunters has been a blast! I have loved playing this game nonstop! All the characters have different strengths and weaknesses so anyone will find a character that relates to their play style. My favorite hunter so far is zaina, the first support character you get. One pet peeve I have about the game is how you don’t get points for healing. At the end of the game their is a leaderboard for kills, assists, etc., but nothing for healing teammates. I almost always end up on the bottom of the leaderboard, while I carried my team to victory by spamming all my heals and helping secure a tough objective. Another thing that needs to change is the game modes. While they are all fun, there’s not enough. They are all also pretty cookie cutter, and none have some thing crazy or game changing. Other than those small grievances, this game is great! I highly recommend playing!

After the fall of “star wars commander”, There wasn’t really a star wars game on my phone I wanted to play until this came out. My inner nerd loves star wars IP driven games but that doesn’t hide the flaws from my vision.
Game runs well on my Iphone14 and graphics are fine but Ui is a little messy and games sometimes feel a lot little quick.
The cosmetics that are callbacks to other characters or armors are cool but VERY expensive and not worth it (I would rather buy a lego minifigure for $5 years than a digital reskin for $20)

I hope the see this game evolve into something that lasts and becomes proof that people want more from this IP.

This game is relatively good even though it just released, but there are a few issues. One of them being the controls feel just a tad bit off, whenever I’m playing I’ll accidentally press other buttons. Another one, which isn’t really a problem but it is to me, is that out of all the characters. The only one that I wanted was the Mandalorian and uh oh. He’s a premium character which means you would have to buy the “battle” pass in order to be able to play him. That’s just a bit tedious to me, at least let me be able to buy him in the store for maybe a few thousand gems?

I first played this game on my Nintendo switch around 2 days ago i was super surprised and impressed at the quality. Its a good concept not pay to win and is super fun. However I do think this game can and will get repetitive after some time dew to the low level of game modes available i do believe this will be fixed as this game was just released and therefor isn’t perfect. I Also feel the hunters could use some balancing, they are pretty balanced as of now but a few stand out as way more powerful than the rest ones that come to mind are mainly sentinel that dude is so overpowered. Overall besides these minor inconveniences I believe its a great game and i can’t wait to see the direction it goes in.

So I have a small question to ask of the team that is responsible for this mobile masterpiece, but before I ask it I will offer a review of both praises, and potential additions. Firstly, the fluidity of the gameplay is absolutely PHENOMENAL! And the almost non- existent wait time for a match. Stellar performance ladies, and gents. My only suggestion(and again, remember I’m just saying “if I were to suggest anything at all”) would be to start new players in a “campaign mode type scenario(either have everyone start as the same person, or come up with different intros for each character) to teach new players the control basics/layout. And eventually have an unavoidable(but seemingly nearly avoidable) negative event happen to the character they chose that forced them to “turn to the arena” for money to feed themselves. But again- just a thought
Now, on to my question. Do the weapon skins used effect the damage a weapon deals? Please respond soon

This is what Star Wars Fans have been waiting for! The game is fun, action-packed, and creative. Each character has their own story to them. Imagine we get a clone character like Kix, who joined a pirate gang after being freed from stasis. It can’t be Kix, but maybe another clone. If they could make that work, it would be amazing. Also, make the Arena Pass unlockable through accumulating crystals and make it cheaper than 10 bucks. Maybe 7 is okay but there is rarely anyone who would buy that. However my only complaint is on the Arena Pass affordability. Everything else, like game modes, characters, and balanced abilities is just perfect. They should make like a five squad free for all mode kinda like showdown in Brawl Stars (if they can, idk if they could, but with the current amount of players I feel like it’s possible!) Thanks Zynga!!!!

This game does a brilliant job of bringing an intuitive, clean, moba (team) experience for both grinding competitive and enjoying casual! I really enjoy that I can play in the top tiers, and still just enjoy introducing family and friends with the ease-of-access this game offers: in personal words, that’s the most valuable part of this game!

In-App Purchasing is hitting all the marks as well ✅ designed to not be necessary, but more for collecting your favorite styles, characters, and more — Buying packs has never seemed to create a skill-gap when versing other players, since progression is easily achievable and only gives minor buffs — you can verse maxed with a new character and still have a fairly even playing field, and that’s really refreshing for a Mobile game!

My only fear is seeing the paywall on new characters 😬 but this is nothing new for both mobile and console games alike — I just fear that they will run short on content if they don’t allow more selection to the public as they continue to scale their game. Looks good, feels great, and looking forward to the future development of this game!

i don’t really write reviews but this is pretty fun honestly, the characters are well designed the game its self is well built nothing to complicated about it, the settings for the games are pretty solid as well…i honestly love the game, skora is most definitely my favorite go to…one thing that is kinda funny, is the last screen before you join the game, it looks sort of low budget but its likda funny honestly…i do kinda wish that they added something to upgrade the characters weapon, not completely change it but just adding something to upgrade the weapons damage. i dont know if you can upgrade the other’s characters weapons, but i just wish that it could be for all (the characters in game), as the same way with their addons ingame. thats all i really have to say, the games is honestly very good and easy to learn the characters…🌺

Star Wars Hunters is a great addition to the franchise’s list of games. Especially in the mobile market which I have felt is sorely lacking since we lost the Star Wars clash royal remake. (the name of which is escaping me right now) This game is a good blend of competitive and casual. Low ranks are fun and easy to get into but once you get into the higher ranks it becomes very competitive and difficult to win matches. This is the kind of ranked system I, personally, enjoy the most. Character design is pretty good across the board as well, the blend of originality and call back aspects is good imo. Each character having their own theme song really fits the SW vibe and adds a lot of character to each in its own right, this is something I REALLY love. Overall I’d say it’s really captured the essence of Star Wars and feels very “authentic”. I could see this lasting a long time on StarWars Store and would personally love to see a PC port in the game’s future. Well done, Zynga.

Edit: Something that is beginning to bother me is the pop up adds for in app purchases. I get it’s a free game and that’s where the revenue is. But I’d prefer it be a scrolling billboard in a corner somewhere like with the news. Not something that pops us taking the whole screen every other time I open StarWars .

This game is great, but I’ve have been having some problems with AFK trolls. They will join the game and then never move, causing you to have a team of three rather then four. I think you might consider kicking AFK players and letting someone else join. It’s just getting on my nerves. Also, why is there so much power control? I hardly ever get anything else. If your trying to be subtle about what your favorite game is, your not doing to well. Anyway, other then these this is a great game. I love how the switch version doesn’t use the internet subscription, so I can play with my friends and not pay a stupid amount of money, and I also love how you don’t have adds. Thank god, I hate adds. I don’t want to seem like I am just complaining, I love this game, but some things need to be worked on, I get it it’s an early release and is going to get better, I’m just trying to help with that.

When I first saw this game I was very skeptical. Star Wars has been in a rough spot these last few years and I was worried this would be a Fortnite/Overwatch knockoff. I am very happy to say that this game is extremely unique and fantastic to play! The characters are all very unique and offer varied and interesting styles of play. Honestly my only big complaint is the grind to get all of the characters. It takes a while and takes much longer if you lose (100 points to the next character if you win, only 60 if you lose). I do like how no matter what you are earning to the next character, but it still is taking many hours to get the two characters I wanted most: the Jawas and the Droideka.

However, this game is completely free, so I understand why they did it that way. Of course because it’s free, a majority of the cool skins cost real money, but that doesn’t bother me much because they are just cosmetic.

All around, I happily give this game a 9/10 and would highly recommend it! (It being completely free is fantastic!!)

I didn’t expect to enjoy this game as much as I did. When I first saw the gameplay it really surprised me, and for being on the Nintendo Switch it is really nice to play on the bigger screen. I noticed their were a few frame drops during cut scenes but gameplay wise it looks pretty good on switch. My only gripe with these types of games is how you have to spend money on the game to get the best skins, weapon wraps, etc. The nice thing in this case is that they have a lot to offer within the store that would want me to invest a little. The gripe that I have with games like this is if in the next 3 years from now the game is unsupported and I may be a person who wants to at least get the battle pass or buy a few more of the other characters they have. I want to see this game get way more support down the road via Xbox or Playstation. To the developers, I really like this game, I think the character designs are really cool for being non canon characters in this app, and I hope this game gets more support and eventually is on Xbox. I want to invest money in this game, but I hope this game is supported down the line and doesn’t become to stale on features. I think this game has a lot of potential to shine, and I would absolutely hop on my xbox and play this, especially if they did a graphics update to be optimized on Series X / S that would be amazing.

Everything about this so far is perfectly executed! I like how the devs teased other characters like the Mandalorian and Droideka. Even though at the time of writing this the game doesn't let u play as those Hunters in the next coming updates I'm sure they will be introduced. I am definitely keeping this game, and looking forward to seeing it in the future become successful! It's very fun to play, reminds me of Overwatch but with Star Wars! Thank you to the devs for adding another Star Wars game to mobile! I’m glad I pre-ordered this!

I appreciate how quick the matches are. They’re not too drawn out or in maps that’re too big. I can take a quick break at work and get 2 maybe even 3 matches in before I have to go back. This is attributed to teams being only comprised of 4 players and on small maps. Teams could be larger on small maps and the matches could potentially be even quicker; however, that would increase load times when finding enough players to fill a match.

I like the variety of hunters leaving abilities and styles to be considered when choosing a main or a favorite. Even the soundtracks for each hunter are pretty cool. Didn’t expect many of the scores to be bangers.

The micro transactions are expected these days but it’s not pay-to-win. Yes, you can unlock other hunters ahead of the grind, but it doesn’t make too much of a difference, especially when you learn the abilities being used on you and how to avoid them.

One complaint is having to race to select a hunter. When someone else chooses the one you’re best at, you have to choose someone else whom you’re not that skilled with. That can negatively impact your ranking. Sure, get good with all of them. Easiest advise to pass on even if it’s not the easiest to accomplish with people having a different play style.

Star Wars mobile games have been not so good in my opinion was never a huge fan of galaxy of hero’s but now we finally got a good action packed Star Wars game on mobile with plenty of replayability a lot of people are complaining about the prices but in my opinion just don’t buy anything then it’s all just cosmetics with the acception of Aron tall being locked behind the battle pass but will be able to be earned for free after this season I think the game is great and before you listen to the bad reviews give it a shot because I was hesitant at first due to bad reviews but now I found me a new game to replace cod mobile I mean call of duty and Star Wars together this is amazing

Literally this game is like playing battlefront 2 on the phone/IPad which is fantastic and for the one star reviews if you can’t win then just get better and I get it with we need VC or chatting and stuff but I feel that it’s fine like all I wish is that the game was harder since I easily win every game and can’t manage to find a game where the player aren’t hard so yeah maybe make it to where there are extremely hard bots that you can fight so that way I don’t have to deal with easy players but I mean some of the players could just be very young but I am loving this game and can’t wait for more characters that will come hopefully and for the 5 star review and the players that actually don’t care if it’s hard or not May the force be with you.

Plz give us exp boosts. I have a hard time grinding different characters when most of my team is choosing the character I am trying to rank up. We need easier character progression. I also suggest you add chat or voice chat so teams can communicate during matches and in lobbies. We shouldn’t have to set up discord servers for the game. Other than that pretty fun gameplay. As a COD, WZM, and Battlefront player though, i think the developers need to add more player focused aspects to improve the game. I’m usually managing an average of 11 kills per match playing objectives and the rest of my team doesn’t know what they are doing. It’s very frustrating trying to play a teamwork based game with zero communication or teamwork.

This game offers great quality, especially for mobile gaming. However, there's a common issue with the roster composition, which tends to lean heavily towards damage-dealing characters, with a lack of support and tank roles. It feels imbalanced and should ideally have a more equal distribution, perhaps around 33.3% for each role.

One specific imbalance arises in certain character matchups. For example, Diago, who fulfills the sniper role, can be quite overpowered at times. When facing off against Diago, especially with a melee or close-range character, it's challenging to find opportunities for success. This becomes particularly frustrating in maps with capture points, where you're unable to effectively engage or retreat, resulting in a significant disadvantage.

I am a Star Wars fan and love this game and I got people who don’t even like Star Wars to play it and love it. I would have rated it a 5 outta 5 but I picked 4/5 since there could be a few improvements. Like some people have less abilities than others and it ruins that character since he can’t do much. For example there are only 2 people with lightsabers in the game and the sixth assassin is overpowered while the J-3DI droid is hard to play as since he has 1 ability while the sith has 4. My idea for improvement is maybe making the J-3DI droid have a dash ability to dodge attacks like how Zainia has 2 rolls, J-3DI could have 2 dashes or like a move that can stun enemies since rn he only has 1 ability that is hard to hit your opponents with. The graphics on the game are amazing It’s really hard to make a fun Star Wars game but they did it the voice acting is also incredible I will say though I wish they had more guys or it was harder to get a guy but besides that this game is amazing I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun new game it’s also a good multiplayer game download the game now it’s definitely worth it

Star Wars Hunters is amazing. It just came out, and I already enjoy it. It feels like a console game on your mobile phone, which is awesome. The progression is great, allowing you to unlock several hunters as you play the game. The gameplay is great too, allowing you and your team to work together and defeat the opposing team in multiple different modes. There is a ton of room to improve, like maybe making the menu ui and hud more simple and easy to use. There’s not many hunters, and I hope they add more. Thanks.

This game is actually a blast. I’ve been following it on instagram for a while, but I was skeptical that it would be kinda bad on release, and that the trailers online were hyping it up way too much. However, I was proven wrong. The graphics are fantastic, that gameplay is actually amazing with multiple abilities for 10+ characters, all of which have their own animations and voice lines. I don’t have a single gripe about this game, and I can’t wait to play more!

When I watched the initial trailers, I was super nervous. Turns out, it’s actually a lot of fun! Characters are very different and each has its own niche role. The interface is easy to navigate, the load times are short, and I even bought their version of the battle pass (I’ve never done that on any game with season passes). It’s great on mobile versus the switch due to a better frame rate, so please check it out! Glad to see a good multiplayer Star Wars game that isn’t Battlefront.😄

Due to the long time this game took to actually make it to launch, this game performs exceptionally well for a mobile game. Do I wish this was offered on console with a bit more of immersive experience, sure. However Ubisoft made a great call backing this game and I’m excited to see the potential of this game grow. It’s a very fresh take on the hero shooter perspective and offers a cleansing breath to most Star Wars fans imo. But good luck out in the arena.

It is beautiful, and the gameplay has an awesome loop. The controls are intuitive and don’t block the entire screen. I can see myself playing this daily! What an awesome title. Honestly this game is extremely fun it’s not like your regular shooter objective games as you play you level up all sorts of characters to make them stronger and although there are a lot of micro transactions the game also gives you many chances to earn the currency through rank play etc. So I can’t wait to see the potential this game has in the future.

Filled with the Star Wars experience and easy to get into. Different types to try out first and unlock the more you play. Each character feels unique and is great to find your style of play. I highly recommend this game to Star Wars fans and non Star Wars fans alike. I even now am excited to get back into the arena to play. A must have and I hope great things for this game!

I will get straight to the point…
Mobile games having a custom HUD layout option for players to fixate the position and size of their buttons is a no brainer.
I am genuinely disappointed how a multiplayer shooter game as well developed as this is lacking such basic feature.
I could almost say with certainty that players who tested this game during the beta were probably begging you for such feature, yet you never provided.
A piece of advice, in 2024, if you ever had the idea to make a game with no basic settings for your players… please just scrap the whole idea.
I am a bit frustrated cause the game is actually good! Just too bad it is unplayable for some ridiculous reason.

Combat is surprisingly smooth and fps is high even though I play on phone + ultra graphics on (btw graphics are great for a mobile game).

The gameplay is fun and I alr have 4 different characters after playing for like 30 mins.

Only downside is that it looks to be pay 2 win in the sense that you can buy new characters for normally nearly unattainable amounts of in game currency.

Also the shooting is automatic (auto shoots when u aim at a person) but u can change it to manual (using a button) in settings.

So far it looks to be a great game, only problem could be if the micro-transactions overtake the game but hopefully they learned from SWBF2

I love the characters , skins and overall look and feel of this game. Matches are fast and fun too! I have not really noticed anything negative. I have only one request which is unlock the Mac version of the game. I would love to play on a larger screen than my phone and I know it is just a click for you to unlock for M based Macs. Please please please 😀

I’ve waited 2 years for this game and it was worth the wait.

The gameplay is buttery smooth and action packed. The maps and the soundtracks really make you feel like you’re in the star wars universe.

The characters really stand out and can be personalized to the players liking.

The shop items are pretty expensive, but I personally don’t care about cosmetics. I do wish the daily login rewards were bigger.

I feel like there’s not a lot of reward in it when it comes to quantity.

That being said it’s an amazing game and I highly suggest anyone to give it a try.

The battle pass is way overpriced. 10 dollars is ridiculous.

Entertaining fast pace and variety of objectives. Sith saber character is my favorite as she’s quick and powerful. Wish there were more saber characters with new powers and useful things to buy with coins as they feel pointless right now.

So far it’s a baby of Pokémon Unite, Battlefront 2 and Overwatch yet it could be a bit more Star Wars. (Take more from Heroes vs Villains in Battlefront 2 from 2018–still play it every day and like it better)

Innovate please! Have us see some powers we haven’t seen before instead of re-creating things done in other games.

So first things first, game is super cool. I've been playing galaxy of hero's since the beginning and have done pretty well. I just have couple of issues with this new game. Although being simple this desperately needs a first person mode like CODM, it would be so much more fun if i saw what the character was seeing. This game also needs in play maps, I walk around a corner and I immediately get pummeled by 3or4 players with no warning. I know its a new game and its gonna take time to learn but with these simple changes this game could be epic.

I looked at my phone and I was like, why the heck is this random game on my phone. Then I looked into it and I remembered that I preordered it about a month prior. I started playing and I was like, “ok this is pretty fun.” Then I kept playing and unlocking characters and I stayed up for 7 hours playing it! I couldn’t put it down! It was so fun and action packed and I was hooked. I’m a console gamer who engages in co op shooters like Overwatch, Rainbow 6, Marvel Rivals, etc on a weekly basis and this game is genuinely such a joy. Although I deeply wish this was on PS5/PC, I’m glad it exists as is. I even bought a controller for my phone because of how much I love it! The games feel more condensed and straightforward than something like Overwatch, but the Hunters team NAILED this game. It’s fun, characters feel DEEPLY thought out, the cosmetics are fantastic, and it’s free. I do wish there was a way to earn battle pass characters, but honestly just buy them because this game deserves the financial support, and also needs some ways to make money lol. So many people forget that, ya know, it costs money to support a development team. Overall, the game feels balanced and I’d like to see this game still going in a decade. Much love for SW Hunters!
