Putting the “too many ads” aside, this game is just absolutely horrible. Not only does the story make NO SENSE, there isn’t any part of the story that’s good. She gets cheated on at least five times in the first 50 levels. Like, okay?? Need something new here?? Then, she always has to get revenge? Nothing can be done unless you watch an ad. So not only are you bombarded by them when you win each level, which BY THE WAY, only lasts about three seconds, you also have to watch an ad to unlock skins, stuff for your house, and for random pets? Each level consists of you doing ONE thing then it moving onto the next but WAIT here’s a chance for extra money, watch an ad! Oh, here’s a free skin but you have to watch an ad! Oh, you hit next level? Ad. Three ads just to move onto the next level. So roughly a minute and a half of ads for barely 30 seconds of gameplay. I don’t know HOW this game has any good reviews. The developer had to of bought them because I haven’t played a game so bad in a VERY long time. I was able to get to level 106 in under 30 minutes with my phone on airplane mode. I suggest this be taken off GirlGenius Store.

This game is good it’s just the ads and the story line that I believe needs work. There are to many ads after I finish a level and I believe some parts of the game shouldn’t have be earned with an add. For example the rent I believe it should be free and the part where you pick a ball and it gives you a prize. I get that you are trying to make more money but if you want people to like the game and leave a good review I suggest toning down the ads. Now about the story line, it should have more than the girl getting a boyfriend, then cheated on, gets revenge, and then repeat. This game should have a good story line that doesn’t repeat itself. Also the levels should get harder as the player gets to the higher levels like 50 or 100, you know because the game is about a girl solving difficult puzzles or trying to find her way around obstacles. I think this game has a lot of room for improvement, so please take these suggestions into consideration.
Some good things about the game is the idea of the new skins and the mansion.

So, this game is great in all but it needs some work to it. First off is the interruptions.. so it always says but the pack, so that's one of them. The next one is the gifts they always pop up and freeze my screen! Then I have to exit GirlGenius and reload it again. It's VERY annoying.
But please please please fix this because I honestly LOVE GirlGenius and want to play peacefully. But for the readers here I would like to say, if you are a curious girl or boy, I would recommend this game it's fun, useful and exciting to see what happens next. It's like a story but you get to pick what comes next. But please please please fix this bug and please respond to me and pay attention to how people feel about how GirlGenius freezes. Please do all you can.

Listen. This seemed like an okay game. And hey, some of it is fine, but it’s sort of slow and there’s SO MANY ADS - THAT ARE INSANELY INAPPROPRIATE! Most (if not all) ads were about undressing some poor lady (most likely without consent or without her even knowing). I find it disgusting that what looks like a children’s game has so many gross ads on it. Also, there are chances to get new outfits - at least one is inappropriate (most are actually okay though, but you have to watch a video to get it, and you know my opinion on those).
All I’m saying is - if there’s a way to fix the awful ad situation (MAKE IT MORE KID AND REGULAR PEOPLE FRIENDLY, PLEASE!!!), please do, and maybe make the story less focused on a lady who has terrible taste in men (who always cheat on her (or die?!?)), and more focused on a her solving other things! There’s more to life than sex and drama!
Sorry for the rant, it’s just very frustrating to find such terrible things on a children’s game.

The game is great and if you have a problem with the ads buy the game pass it isn’t that expensive and it is awesome the story can’t be too diverse cause then it’ll start getting confusing it is a fun mystery game and there is really a lot of potential in this game it has some really great levels deals and surprises so just give it a chance and you might just have a fun time.

Its a really good game but there are just so many ads in the way and blackout bingo one is super repetitive but I have a tip to get rid of apps simply turn your wifi off that way you don't have any wifi and if you wanna watch an app to get something or do something turn your wifi back on and watch the ad and also at the end when I finished the whole story it made me go back to level 1 the last thing i remember from the last level is her and her ex-husband or boyfriend doing a puzzle connecting colors together but please make more levels and/or make a separate game Girl Genius 2 anyways thats just my opinion I genuinely love the game its addicting too but yeah

So. A few things. I don't mind it but it has problems. For one) the ads are overwhelming. And its often the only way to realistically get something since the price of upgrades are so high and the reward for finishing a level is so low. The story line makes no sense. Every man she meets is her boyfriend and they all cheat on her or die. I purchased the no ads pass. But in most games, no ads means no ads period. You still have to watch ads to get items/rewards which in every other game I play it skips those too. And finally, I guess I ran out of levels since after the pyramid level it went back to level 1. A map of all the levels would be useful in this case. I still don't know if its a glitch or What happened. Please read these comments and fix things. The competition is tough.

This game had no storyline whatsoever, it made me hate the main character, on top of the fact that the ads are WAY to excessive, you have 3 seconds maybe on one level and then there’s an ad. They aren’t short either, some even double. Continuing on, the way GirlGenius was designed seems very lazily done, it’s quite boring, and when you buy things for the house, or a new skin, it always says “ads not available , try again in a few seconds.” Once you click lose it, the game switches off to an ad, every time. Not to mention, some of the outfits she wears are quite revealing and can come off offensive to some women, and indigenous cultures with parts of the awful storyline. Overall this game has no business being on the AppStore. Please do not purchase this game, you will be very disappointed.

The game is over all amazing, but there is to many ads level after level after level. The game itself is fun but the ads waste your time. Now, let’s talk about the game itself… it’s not clickbate because the ad for it is a real level in the game. It’s sure fun and can be addicting 😅. Also, I would NOT recommend this game for children 10 or under because there can be slightly inappropriate ads and levels in the game as well. As an example my cousin who is 7 got the game and she was casually playing the game till a level with two naked people in bed came on😖. So there should be and age restriction. Let’s start off with the ads, there are way too many. Want a skin? Ad. Want a pet? Ad. Want furniture? Ad. Or it’s just ads after each level. Some ads double and some are like one minute long. You can only do one single thing each level, which makes it kinda boring. She gets cheated on atleast 5 times in the first 40 levels, which is kinda confusing. She wants revenge every time a problem occurs, like okay??? The storyline is very confusing and is hard to understand. Some of the skins are very revealing which may offend other women. The pets have no use and the renters in your house really just walk around the rooms. There’s a lady walking around in a maid suit in the mansion and dancing on a stripper pole. I truly think this game needs to get taken off GirlGenius store.

disregarding the plot, the ads, and how suggestive the ads i’ve seen from this game are, something i’m not seeing anybody talk about is the harmful use of native american/indigenous culture. i’m not indigenous, and this isn’t my culture that’s being appropriated, but it’s really bothering me. during the levels where they’re stranded on an island, which may i add could’ve been easily avoided if they went back to the shore which wasn’t too far away, the clothing the “cannibals” are wearing seems eerily similar to what shows up when you google “authentic native american clothing”. i ignored it because it wasn’t something i noticed at the time, but i go ahead like 6 levels and there’s tepees. all over the place. i then deleted the game because that’s a very wrongful misuse and/or misrepresentation of indigenous people and their culture. the storyline was already messed up and repetitive in the first place, i see no reason why the developer(s) couldn’t have just made them go back to the shore and have the old man die then both of the girls get all his money and belongings or something weird like that.

You might thing oh this is a great game for my kid but it’s not. This is absolutely disgusting the ads or inappropriate and the problems in the game or so disgusting like their is one time where l was playing and a random dude come up to me in the game and said a bunch of stuff then next their in a room kissing. And another time l was playing you had to find the guys phone but you have to find to in the bathroom when he’s taking a shower and it makes you take off his clothes. In one of the ads it’s a boy and girl playing Rock Paper Scissors shoot but the boy wins and the girl has to take her clothes off and the boy had hearts in he’s eyes when she takes her bra off this game is over I’ll just disgusting please to don’t download it.

My first review was it freezes so apparently after watch a certain amount of ads you can’t watch anymore for a while which freezes the game if you try to click on it. The kicker is some stuff requires you to watch an ad. And need more levels I finished the last level and it basically took me back to the first level which in then shows basically the last mission you do is the the same person You were supposed to marry (spoiler alert). It’s okay game needs more levels though.

My daughter got this game to play because it looked ok, but while she played it sitting beside me I noticed the ads were horrible for example one ad about a detective had a machine you use to scan a woman's body and it was showing what's under her clothes. It was a cartoon, but that's still wrong! Who regulates games these days & what is appropriate for what ages? I don't think anyone does, so us parents have to be bet careful!

Also this game itself when my daughter played it it has a man about to get married already cheating on his about to be spouse. I don't want my daughter playing this game that has no morals at all. I'm just warning parents out there.

So when I got this I thought it would be fun I was WRONG this is the worst game and I have lots of reasons to prove this 1 there are WAY too many adds after you pass a level there is an add 2 the levels are like 5 seconds each 3 she dated like 10 guys in the first 100 levels 4 it is not realistic at all witch makes it REALLY REALLY REALLY boarding to play there are my reasons not to get this game

Developers till you at least fix the add problems I am definitely going to delete this game because that is the WORST of MANY PROBLEMS also I would advise to have this game taken off GirlGenius Store until the problems are fixed or FOREVER

I need to talk why it bad here. For one I passed all the levels so I thought I was gonna just get a wait for more updates screen for a while,but no it started me from the beginning. Secondly, why is it almost every time she gets cheated on? Like she can get her boyfriend killed a few times or something. Lastly, why is it that there is so many ads and the “sale no ads all the outfits” all the time? It makes it hard to play cause I can never finish 2 levels without getting and ad. Please fix these.

I love the story it is hilarious sure it’s unorganized but that just makes it 10x better! People honestly are just trying to find ways to not like this game (in my opinion) sure there are a lot of adds but there are ways to fix that. Like turning off WiFi, or buying the game pass. I love this game I rlly hope you make a part 2. ignore the haters, and have a great day!

This game is fun but there is tentacle difficulties like for one it has way too many’s adds, add something new like different, like a boy cheats on her then gets revenge it’s not that surprising like do something new. The add’s, there are way to much when I want something it’s says “out of adds wait” and after that there’s like a bunch of adds so I’m not saying it’s bad just saying that they need to fix and add those two thing so for now I’ll give this a 3 start ratings 😗😑👋 Thanks for taking your time reading this!

Don’t get me started on the adds for every level u play. U have to watch a add and idk if it’s just my phone but level 40 or 50 something is won’t load the next level and I’m very sad because I kinda liked the game. But why does she get cheated on sooo many time you need to change it up. Why does she need revenge every time and it starts out with her getting married like at least have some backstory about how they met or something. This is a short review but it has a lot to say.

After every round I get a whole ad. It’s so annoying and you guys just gotta work on that on your game. I can’t even chill playing this game because there is always an ad. It’s very irritating and I’ve seen many reviews where others complain about the ads as well, it’s no only me. I’m sorry for giving this game a 1 star, but I just find the ads really vexing. I really love this game and enjoy the features on what we do in the game, but you guys really need to try adding less ads! As I said, I get an ad after every round. I don’t know what to expect, but this is a Mobile game.
