Neeva Browser & Search Engine Reviews

The search is pretty good. Aside from privacy, I really wanted just results, not tailored results to what some AI thinks I’m looking for, and for this it’s pretty great.

That being said, there are many cases where the search results for specific or uncommon info quickly devolve into irrelevance. I’m sure the search will get better over time though.

What caused me to write the review was I noticed today that they are now doing some equivalent of AMP - pre loaded pages that live on Neeva when they actually are another site. I really don’t like that. I want to go to the real website, and I definitely don’t want links I share to other people to pass through neeva. It’s part of what I most dislike about Chrome. It was refreshing when I discovered DuckDuckGo doesn’t do that, and I had assumed Neeva didn’t either so I’m a little disappointed.

I was a long time Duckduckgo user, but the search results were increasingly erratic. NeevaBrowserSearchEngine was probably my 5th attempt to find a replacement. So far I am genuinely liking it. Yes, there are ads but I can't fathom not expecting that from a newish to the game, free, search engine. I don't find the volume of ads to vary from any other standard app.

4 stars because I really wish there was a more consistent way to establish the search parameters, especially for those of us who have to clear data and cookies frequently. I'm always looking for results from a set, "past year" time frame and it gets tedious having to click that option over and over. However that seems pretty much universally overlooked by all of the search engines so maybe the demand us not there. One can hope however.

I started using Neeva beginning with its early beta version. Over the years I have tried so many : Safari, Google, Chrome, Explorer and Edge, Firefox and DuckDuckGo. They all have their strengths and faults, and of course the early versions needed perfecting. But none has evolved as well to provide great search results while effectively protecting privacy. Gone are the intrusive ads and my concerns about tracking that linger with the major search engines. What a relief! And I notice that the people at Neeva are constantly striving to refine the software and improve performance.

If you want answers to your queries and not stacks of paid content Neeva is for you. I understand that it will become a subscription service in the future, and I look forward to paying a monthly fee. NeevaBrowserSearchEngine saves me tons of time by providing unfiltered content that is ad free. I’m guessing my research takes half the time as a result of not having to wade through the Google “weeds.” Time is money and Neeva saves me tons of time.

I will absolutely pay to not have ads or trackers. However, Google’s ecosystem is way more than search. If Neeva offered a way to xfer browser passwords, integrate with a superior Map program, etc, I’d be all in. Also, despite the search function being ad free, it doesn’t seem to be as iterative as Google’s. For example, earlier I typed in something like “where to go as first timer in India” and the results were Indian teams that came in first place. I am confident Neeva has a bright future but it still needs work. Currently, it’s not enough for me to switch from Chrome. And I hate Chrome.

The recent (late July 2021) update appears to have broken the Sign In with Apple option again on all of my iOS devices. On the phone, the pop-up window one is supposed to receive, after choosing the Sign In with Apple option, never appears and Neeva hangs. On the iPad, it would seem to work normally, but always returned me back to the sign-in page without ever signing me in. After about 5 attempts to get signed in, it now also hangs after choosing the Sign In with Apple option. It continues to work fine in Safari on these devices, so I’m not really sure why we have apps in the first place.

Well, I was looking for an alternative to the untrustworthy "mainstream" browsers when I found NeevaBrowserSearchEngine and, for a moment, thought this one was different -- it IS "different" but not in a good way. These "other" browsers collect a limited amount of data not linked to the User but YOUR browser collects everything linked to the User to the point that it seems suspicious. I gave an additional star rating for the clean UI but, no matter how nice the design, I can't overlook the privacy issue. You may "protect" users information but much bigger players have promised the same and have failed. The only sure way to protect my data is for ME to control who has access to it. No thanks.

I’m a recent User. Needless to add, Privacy is paramount to me; especially in these days of mind-numbing abuse of Online Privacy. I have been playing with Neeva (free version) for about a year and didn’t even blink when the Premium version became available. It’s simply awesome; the personalization is powerful and the customer support, including one-on-one support is peerless.

Stop thinking and “Get it!” Is my only advice to those thinking about it.

This has been a great mobile browser. It just needs a search and sort feature to be perfect. Please allow users to search their open tabs and history. As well as letting users search and sort spaces and the items in each space based on alphabetical order, domain, name, recently accessed, etc. This will allow users to navigate NeevaBrowserSearchEngine faster and find what they’re looking for more easily.

In my opinion the internet needs to be entirely restructured and/or consumers need to be given options like the one offered by this company that puts security and an ad-free experience over trading every detail about people for huge profits no consumers see. Thank you to this company and keep up the good work, one day we may all say “WHEW!” Over the authoritarian technologist power-grab that’s been going on for decades failing. Bless you all!

Please download and at least give Neeva a try. We need companies like Neeva to survive & thrive. Or we will just be left with the Facebooks & Googles selling our data to the highest bidder.

It’s a brilliant idea & a brilliant app. I just hope it works as a business model.

Neeva has created some pretty cool, unique features, like Spaces. It still is an early product, needing improvement & additional features but it’s a great start.

NeevaBrowserSearchEngine works great. It does what it is supposed to do. That’s about all there is to say about it.

The real review is about Neeva. Have you ever wondered what life would be like without [Gargantuan Search Engine Co. ] manipulating your searches? Every search on [Gargantuan Search Engine Co. ] is a psyop. Seriously.

Neeva is five dollars a month. How much of your time does [Gargantuan Search Engine Co. ] waste? What is your time worth? Think about it.

This web browser offers a great search engine respecting your privacy, a useful start page offering news relevant to what you’d like to see. (Mine is tech news) the weather widget is accurate. And the tracker blocking looks to be working based on my testing. It’s an ethical choice in this technological dystopia.

Nothing is free. Google generates billions hoovering up our data and selling it to third parties. Search results are also distorted by sponsors and Google’s algorithm. Even if Neeva’s search results were merely “OK,” it would be well worth $5 per month for the privacy. Bonus is that the search results are better: more relevant and straight forward. It is a no-brainer.

I’ve been using Neeva now for about a year as a tester and it’s gotten better and better and better. Now I am a paying customer. It’s worth it to me to have a search experience that is completely ad free, no targeting. Just a clean set of search results that also plug into your various accounts to mix in with your results. I recommend it to everyone. Try it out!

The simple pleasure of not having to skip over the top few sponsored results is incredible; and knowing that Neeva’s incentives are aligned with mine and not that of advertisers makes the whole experience of search much better.

Considering how important search is and how often I use it daily, $5/month is a steal.

My main gripe with NeevaBrowserSearchEngine is that I’m used to having an Adblocker on safari, so switching to this browser and seeing so many ads on websites makes it a dealbreaker. I wish you could just set this as the main search engine on safari instead.

Searching on neeva seems pretty decent. I haven’t had any major problems with it.

A good product in beta has improved considerably now that it’s open to paying subscribers. The premium benefits alone (LastPass and Bitdefender subs are included at no extra charge) make it worth the asking price, but I also love that I can submit feedback about my search results directly to the developers.

I am a huge fan of web surfing without tracking. There is something about not having to find alternative ways to query to get useful results, which is something I have had to do. I was worried about how the browser would feel since I love safari but it works great. Good work!

Neeva is the best browser out there. It gives you unbiased results so you can make your own decision. I love knowing ALL my options. And having unbiased search results. Not to mention it is fast and not all cluttered up with additional features you don’t need. Just straight facts. Which is what I need.
