I installed this plugin and tried using this monitor, I loved the idea and was definitely prepared to get behind them for the service they offer. First print and I got my first ever thermal run away failure. It’s possible I’ve done something wrong but my firmware has not changed my RPI4 has not changed and I have had no issues out of my printer until I installed this plugin. So just make sure you don’t walk away from your printer as KlipperOctoPrint makes you feel you can do. Wish I could have been a 5 star happy reviewer but I could never trust this company after something like that happens to my printer. No house fires for me.

Installed and set up only to find out you basically have to pay for every hour you have this watching a print. Payment is not through Apple-that’s why it doesn’t show as an in-app purchase. Kinda crazy they expect people to pay an hourly charge for prints that sometimes take days to complete. I’m sure they’ll respond by explaining how you get a certain amount of hours free or whatever. Look into it before wasting time installing and jumping through all the hoops.

My Pi 4 is tucked away in a closet with the 3D printer. Although it never sputters on LAN while at home, it seems to be a different story externally and buffers quite a bit when accessing remotely outside of my house. Any remote access requires good connection, which I think I'm barely out of the range of in my "closet scenario."

I still get email/text alerts immediately, but streaming for more than a few seconds seems to be barely out of reach. It's so close to 5 stars, but I think it could really benefit from some more development with better dynamic resolution / bps to avoid as much buffering. Could we even select what resolution we want easily instead of ONLY offering the dynamic? One star docked.

I was also a beta tester since I've used Spaghetti Detective long before it was Obico. I think it's gotten better and they had Baby Step Z as a feature for awhile, but it disappeared! It worked perfectly for me, but I imagine it was a bit experimental and didn't work for everyone. I'm sad it's gone, but I can understand. No stars docked.

iPad version needs a lot of work. It is basically just a camera in landscape mode and you can't click anything. I have a landscape keyboard case, so this is pretty frustrating. One star docked.

I would like to say that yes even tough with trial version never had good video frame rate
But the worst are the cancel button that if you accidentally touch and cancel a print in the middle after waithing 2 days of printing near completed and all ruined because the cancel button did not ask to verify .

I love KlipperOctoPrint. It’s easy to use it’s very intuitive I can access my printer from anywhere with amazing frame rates. As long as your camera has full view of the print bed it has good failure detection.
The only thing I wish it had was an off button to turn off my raspberry pi and shortcut support to do it with a shortcut rather than having to use the tunnel function to manually shut it down.

The software itself is probably one of the best and easiest out there for monitoring your prints. Has all the functionality I need to feel confident and monitor the safety of my prints. I also love that I don’t have to VPN to watch my prints off my home network.

With that said, I’ve noticed one flaw in its detection for failed prints. It seems to be recognizing both my gyro is infill and small tree supports as print failures and automatically stops good prints when it sees these. I’m assuming because it sees the wavy lines and small loops and freaks out. Hope fully this get updated soon as it annoying to have it happen.

Even with that aside, I’d still recommend it.

I’ve been using this since the beta or testing through test flight app. Like it and works well. But think the GUI needs a change up. Looks outdated and kind of plain. Also the big “the detective is not watching” or if it is watching it’s a bit intrusive looking. Maybe a little smaller or just a line, not a big box and put the temp on the same “page” as the the progress. Cancel and pause buttons maybe half the size and next to each other instead of stacked. Great idea, more of looks I feel like being redone some. I don’t use this to detect, I just use it to monitor. The guy that gave it one star is ridiculous if he thinks a company will do everything for free.

running self-hosted and while normal access to my printers and cameras is all lightning fast that is not the case when using Obico against my locally hosted install. Logs aren't giving much info either.

For now, I'm good but I am going to keep digging into this along the way because I know the performance is there.

This has saved quite a few prints for me. I love that it will pause and wait for my input so I can ignore the problem parts and continue with the rest of my print. I also have been impressed with the Klipper tunnel making it easy to access all my printer functions remotely from anywhere

I came to KlipperOctoPrint Store just to rate this, which I never do but I am stunned at how well it performs. I am not sure about the AI fault detection because I haven’t had that happen to me yet. I will say KlipperOctoPrint plugin with Octopi didn’t register my printer the first two tries even on manual. But it finally did it. It sends alerts at certain print % and when complete. I can watch my Pi Cam or control my printer from wherever I want for free. I use Rp4 with Marlin(klipper is dumb) and Octopi.

In fact this might be the first one I’ve ever done on KlipperOctoPrint Store - I love KlipperOctoPrint for monitoring and managing my prints. I. Use it daily to manage my 2 printers. It’s super easy to setup once you have octoprint going , and KlipperOctoPrint and web interface work seamlessly. Love it !!

KlipperOctoPrint works great and has saved me many times when my print fails and I’m not around. I can’t believe it’s able to detect failed prints reliably and then pause or stop the printer. Without KlipperOctoPrint babysitting my 3D printing would be a huge headache.

I’ve been using Obico since back when it was called OctoPrint Anywhere, then all through the Spaghetti Detective days up until now. It’s simply the best app for monitoring and remotely controlling your printer securely from off your home network. I’ll never not use it.

I’ve had some webcam issues that may or may not be Obico’s fault, but I suggested via email that it may be due to their app, and their team was incredibly responsive, and they have been more helpful than I could have ever imagined a company being. KlipperOctoPrint just works amazingly well too, and even with this webcam issue that might be something else entirely, this is by far the best OctoPrint app out there. I’ve tried other top apps, and they all require you to install multiple apps and plugins and then connect them all and pay subscription fees to each app if you want all the benefits. KlipperOctoPrint is the only one stop shop that I’ve come across, and it’s been super easy to use. Highly recommend.

First! I have to give props to the developer for being AWESOME! Not only was the developer able to assist me when I was having issues, they went above and beyond and provided individualized support.

Now to KlipperOctoPrint . I’m new to 3D printing, but KlipperOctoPrint is essential to monitoring ALL of your prints—whether it is something quick or a long project.

This is a MUST have!

I have been using this since the beta on testflite so far it has been really good even with the very low farm rate it still does the job and it’s super amazing how they store all your time loses for free because of the need to improve the ai so a win win. Also I had the pro for a little bit and I can say it’s worth 30fps is outstanding for the money

TSD works very well automatically identifying print issues and KlipperOctoPrint is a nice bonus.

Recently TSD spotted a failure “smells fishy” of one component within a multi-component print. I was printing black PETG on a black bed and when I first looked in I didn’t see any issue. However while double checking I saw that one component had broken loose and spaghettie was forming. I got lucky and was able to stick that one component back in place so it didn’t trash all the others. Lost that one but TSD helped me save the others.

App is a nice bonus to remotely visually monitor. I am a TSD Pro (paid subscription) user but 3D printing is just a hobby. My TSD client runs on a raspberry pi4 using the Pi-HD camera and 16mm lens.

With a raspberry pie and a mini camera you can view and control your a 3-D printer from anywhere in the world.
It also has some features where it’ll watch while you’re not able to watch. Those are a work in progress. But they’re getting there.
It’s kind of like speech to text and all types of AI. It’s not always right but it helps.

I downloaded KlipperOctoPrint with the intention of monitoring my Ender-3’s printing progress while out of the house. Setup was quick and painless. The UI is very clear and easy to understand, making remote monitoring a breeze even for a noob like myself. Uploading and printing directly from KlipperOctoPrint works as expected and is a really cool feature.

Thankfully I have not had to test TSD’s AI detection capabilities but I will provide an update as soon as one becomes available.

The spaghetti device is very useful for remote Octoprint access, KlipperOctoPrint lets you do anything you would be able to do with the full interface on the go. It has a secure tunnel for full access, and a smaller interface for smaller things like temperature and time remaining. You also only need to pay for KlipperOctoPrint if you want the detective watching, which is a great choice. I personally don’t need the detective but I can see the person who would need it. Great addition to Octoprint.

This program has really helped me get the most out of my printer, enabling me to keep an eye on it while I’m away. It’s ability to detect problems gives you real peace of mind and helps you avoid building a birds nest and wasting filament on a print that has already failed.

Yes, you do have to pay, but giving feedback on each print earns you more print time, and odds are unless you’re constantly printing, even the lowest cost plan will give you more time than you need.

For example, for $4/month you get 50 print hours, which comes out to a little over an hour a day. But you get 2 bonus hours for each print you give feedback on. So if you print every day, even on the lowest cost plan you still get 3 hours.

Go away for a weekend, stop printing for a few days because you run out of filament? Your hours stockpile and don’t expire.

For me, the cost is totally worth it for the additional productivity and peace of mind.

This has saved me so much peace of mind and also cost in filament waste! I pay the premium version of this and it’s amazing. Customer support is great although I have never had to use it because nothing has ever gone wrong in this system. As a highschool engineer, I can start and monitor print between class periods, and I even use the remote controlling to use the print head to knock the prints off the bed and print a new print. Set up is easy, and interface is simple and clean just the way I like it! I have been using this for years and the whole thing rocks! Totally recommend!!!

I have been using TSD from the very beginning with octoprint. The website itself was cool, but the fact that there is now an app to use it is “icing on the cake”, like another user said. The UI is super easy to navigate, and a lot of thought went into it. I love how you can see when the print will finish and what layer it’s on. TSD, thank you so, so much for this amazing app and service.
