Doesn’t work

I,along with my adult family, paid to use Strive so we can compete against each other. It has been 3 weeks and after a lot of going back and forth with customer service, we just can’t get this to work. Our smart scales register our measurements and they sync with our heath app, but it does not sync with this app. All our data from our watches sync over, like steps, exercise, but we can’t get our weight to sync. We have to manually input the data. All permissions are toggled yes, Bluetooth is enabled. Out of 4 of us, we can’t get our weight to sync. My son is a computer engineer and he can’t figure it out. I do not recommend.

Waste of time

Downloaded and was going to try it out, however after giving permission to my gallery I have decided to delete. Strive wasted my time, i got a message to pay for premium before adding the profile picture, why the Illusion? If Strive would have let me try it out before rudely wasting my time I might have enjoyed it enough to cancel my strava membership. On to the next app…I honestly wanted to try it out but felt insulted with the tactic.

Now I get my junk mail from these guy’s relentlessly. Cannot unsubscribe.

People cheat in competitions

No point in using this to actually compete. People get 100,000 to 200,000 steps a day (that’s about 40 to 80 miles) by sitting down and using devices to get extra steps without doing anything while openly admitting to it in the chats. These unrealistic numbers are seen and ignored by those in charge making it impossible to compete in a fun and enjoyable way. Plenty of other options that use common sense instead of a cave man “big number good” mentality.

Blatant cheating and nothing is done about it

Avoid Strive. Has the same person winning by using a external device like the CUBII that shouldn’t even count for steps. It’s discouraging when for many months straight the same person cheating with a device is always on top. Ruins the purpose of competition and feels very unprofessional as app that is supposed to feel inclusive to everyone and their efforts. Multiple people have left the platform including myself because of this.

Cool but weird restrictions

So I really enjoy the idea behind Strive. My friends and I have a competition going and it’s really fun. However there are some weird quirks with Strive that I don’t get. To enter your weight, you also have to enter your body fat percentage. You cannot just enter the weight. I wouldn’t guess that most people just know their percentage. And if you don’t have a smart scale or calipers at home, nothing in Strive explains to you how to calculate an estimate like using the navy method. I wish it would have told me. I just wasn’t putting in weight because I didn’t know my BF%. It screwed up my competition because I wasn’t recording any data or progress. Once I finally found the formula for the navy estimate and tried to put it in, it logged that I had gained a bunch of weight because the starting weight wasn’t accurate. I could not find anywhere to go back and edit the starting weight. I assume editing isn’t easy for competition integrity, but I feel like it’s a necessary feature to have. I put in the wrong numbers initially so I was firmly in last place in every competition. I had been manually entering my weight into my apple health data but that does not sync to Strive apparently. When I went to the help button to check the FAQ or send in a message, none of the buttons under help actually work. I clicked them all multiple times and was never pushed to the site or got any further response from Strive .

Builds Community and Accountability

Purchased a group account for our staff and after just a few days you could see a change in the energy on the school campus, teachers taking walks during their lunch break and positive energy throughout. The chat feature is fun to share pictures from our walks. Highly recommend.

Almost there

Could you please add relative goals for challenges like apple fitness? That way you can compete with people who typically do more or less.

For instance, I don’t want to do a steps challenge with someone if I know I’m going to beat them everyday. However, if my goal is 12k steps and there’s is 8k, and points are awarded for how close you get to that goal or beyond it, then you can compete with anyone. Please add this feature!

Yes, finally a great competition app!

Not only is Strive awesome but the developers are super responsive and the features are the best out of all the competition apps I found. None of the others are advanced as this app. All my data from my scale and activities are pulled in based on my selections and what I choose to share. You can join and create competitions. Very easy to use.

Great for Group Weight Loss Challenges!

Have to admit that the dynamic leaderboard is the best. Especially when your in a competition with coworkers. We did an office weight loss challenge with 15 people. There was a side bet the winner take all. Two people lost 42 pounds in 10 weeks, and another person ran the LA Marathon. Great for team work and building team relationships.

Great motivator

My partner and I were looking for a way to compete on weight loss to help motivate ourselves. Love the options this app has as well as the outstanding support. This is a clean, nice design and easy to use to track your progress. Recommended for anyone looking to create a contest or join the existing public competitions.

Great app to track weight loss competitions

I’ve been using Strive for several weeks now and it’s been great so far. Being able to enter into competitions and competing against other like minded who want to lose weight and get healthy is great. It motivates me to keep working hard because other people are also working towards the same goals. Download Strive now you will thank me later 😁

Great to get you over the hump

I had stalled on my weight loss for a long time but using Strive and competing with friends helped me push through. I hadn’t been under 200lbs since I was under 20 years old. Seeing everyone’s progress helps to push you even further. Great app!

Just signed up

I recently just signed up with this app since Fitbit was no longer offering anymore challenges. I did enjoy the weekly challenges (M-F) and they also had a weekend challenge as well. Maybe that’s another challenge you guys can implement on your app?

Great family fitness app

Our family has been using for over a year for family walking competitions and we love it. Great data and customer service when questions or concerns. Thank you!

Very prompt fix

I reported that somehow I was in first place in the July minutes competition, which was impossible as I am an old lady usually in the middle of the pack. The next time I checked I was in my rightful place of 36th. It was a quick resolution.

It helps 😂

When me and my family started living a healthy lifestyle, I discovered this app. Except eating a healthy food, we needed motivation to be more active and to loose more calories. Creating Step competitions between me, family members and friends really motivated and almost all of us showed great results( everybody wanted to be a winner and was walking more and more every day😂😂).

Honest App

I enjoy Strive . I’m already active and yet it still pushes me to do more. Had a situation in the competition I had joined where someone was cheating and this app looked into and resolved the issue in no time. If you haven’t already, Join now!

Keeps me aware of my activity level.

This is a great app. I have used it to better my awareness of my daily activity. Looking at my “rings” can get kinda boring. I love that I can actually view others workouts and get ideas and even push myself to do just a bit more!!! I am overweight and LOVE to eat too much. This pushes me toward activity and general awareness. Especially when competing with friends!!!!😁

Super advanced well designed fitness app

This is a very well thought out fitness app I use at my company to promote well being and therefore lead to better performance and overall happiness. The design is excellent and a great UI. Highly recommend

I lost a few kilos in competitions

I like competing and winning. Going to gym only for myself doesn’t motivate me 🥺 I need to see fast results, so going into competitions and winning is mine. I’m happy my friend told me about this app and we are getting involved into more and more competitions☺️
