Good fun - could be great

This game has everything the usual arrow hero game has and improves upon the formula by adding fun DOOM themed attacks, special abilities, and actions. It’s a great piece of licensed software. Plays well and leveling up feels good. I have two criticisms that I hope the devs/publisher consider:

1. The energy system is abysmal. 20 energy *max* and it costs 5 energy to play a round? Plus it takes 5 minutes to generate *1* energy? That’s insane. Player engagement and play time should be top priority - double the energy cap to 40 at minimum or remove it altogether at best. Compromise - IAP to allow players to bypass the system permanently. Priced fairly, of course. I would also love to see an IAP that allows for the complete removal of ads.

2. Some gameplay issues like audio cutting out, invincible monsters, and not being able to use the rocket launcher when backed up against a wall keep this game from being truly great. I’m sure they have fixes coming though - MightyDOOM seems to be frequently updated for the time being.

Love it but

I really love this game as it is currently I’m afraid that in app purchases may ruin this game tho…There’s already two slayers that you have too use money on so maybe p2w no idea how op they may be. Just started playing today and I can tell it has potential a lot of it and it’s addictive, I hope that it doesn’t fall into the trap most mobile games have nowadays being ads everywhere and tons of p2w in app purchases, I hope there’s a port to consoles one day as it would be fun to play on my Xbox, the controls would feel a little weird at first tho, I would do it left stick move LT for stuff like rocket launcher, and LB for ultimates or just have custom key binds so yeah console port would be just as good as this no idea why they didn’t do that to begin with.

Violent silly brutality - a fun little romp so far!

Let’s get this out of the way: Yes. This game wants your money. It’s a typical free to play mobile experience with all the trappings. Once you accept that and just have fun with what it offers, it’s actually delightful.

I love Doom. I’ve played it since I was a kid back in the nineties and all kinds of .wads and mods and it’s just a big part of my gaming history. So for me, this is basically a fun time spender, that I have not payed a dime for, wrapped in a comforting and very familiar package. You run around little rooms, avoid traps and shots, and your little slayer murders all those disturbingly adorable little demons. Its got a bit of that autofiring roguelite thing that I love, so you get to upgrade your stats and do crazy things to your weapons until the demons are all thoroughly dead. Or you are.

As long as you accept it for what it brings, you’ll have fun. So far it hasn’t felt like I’ve needed to spend money to win. They do give you free things for achievements or daily things, so even if you’re like me and have no money to spare, you’ll do fine. If you love doom, give it a shot.

I dunno man, I’m having a ball so far.

Awesome Game

I've played all the doom games From Doom 64 to Doom Eternal on my Xbox 1. This game does a amazing job at replicating what the Doom franchise is all about without too much gore. Great game for kids that are a little more on the mature side. The one disadvantage i will not lie is the energy things and it takes away at that every time you play but i get it! You guys have to make your money. Shoutout Bethesda and all the other amazing game developers that worked on this game. I originally seen this game as a Ad on my xbox home screen and did not expect it to be so well! But i was wrong as anything that Bethesda puts its name on Screams excellency. Thank you for bringing us this game! Many demons will be slayed right from my phone. Can't wait for the Updates.❤️✅

Unexpectedly Great

I came into this game expecting just another mobile game but with doom guy, and that was kinda right but in my opinion, this one is just so fun and addictive, the only thing I’d recommend is for Xbox achievements to be added to this game, I’d really recommend this game to anybody, it’s a really well-made game too, I haven’t encountered a single bug yet and I’ve played for quite a bit of time, is love for more mobile games to come out like this, I only heard of it today and I'm already addicted to it, I know Bethesda is good at making games and well funded so I don't know why it surprises me so much. Thank you Microsoft & Bethesda for making this masterpiece

Great game.

It is a lot of fun and easy to learn. Gameplay is smooth and the art is enjoyable. The soundscape I’m actually enjoying quite a bit too, it isn’t just 2 bit sounds like in an old or cheap game, it sounds pretty good. Honestly I’m impressed, they put some real work into this game.

My one and only complaint is that when you’re picking which equipment to wear, like which helmet for example, you do a little clicking back and fourth to compare them. My hope is they’ll have a mechanic built in to compare what you have equipped with what you’re looking at, but it is a day one game and that is a very minor issue. They really did a great job.

1945 meets Hades

Scroll with one finger and it auto shoots for you. You get a secondary weapon that charges and a special chainsaw. Each level has 40 stages to clear. If you die you keep what you collected. Lots of daily missions to unlock new gear and 2 separate missions refreshed regularly. Glory kills fills your health and every so often you get to choose better fire rate, double shot, spread shot, fire, explosive damage etc. lots going on with this game. If you die you can watch a video to keep going (definitely recommend) out side of that no adds unless you want free currency every hour.

Very fun!

Been a long time DOOM fan and I absolutely love this so far though admittedly I’m not too far into it yet! The guns feel great though I’m a little mixed on the combat shotgun honestly but that’s besides the point!
It’s very easy to play but seems a little harder to truly master learning each demons attacks and when to use your ultimate weapon (BFG is my favorite so far)

The only problem I’ve had so far is one durring chapter 4 I was at the third from final stage after passing through a blue sentinel portal I couldn’t target the demons and they where immune to my bullets yet I still took damage and they still targeted me. I’m not sure what would cause this problem but it kinda sucked it was a instant loss more or less

Good game

As one of the first people to leave a review for the game, this is a really good one for when you are playing just to pass the time. The graphics aren’t amazing at times even for a cartoony version of a game like doom. I understand it’s supposed to look much more simple but a lot of the effects just aren’t there. It’s a fun experience when playing overall though. It is very much like archery to where this is no question where they got their inspiration from. It may take some time to progress through the game but for people who really like the doom franchise I think this game is a great way to have fun when you are alone.

Great Adaptation to Mobile

I don’t typically play many games on mobile, but when I saw that this game was announced I instantly put it on my list. I played through Doom Eternal on PC a couple times and this game does it great service to it. It is a bit more difficult than other games like it, but the game compensates with the glory kill system, utilizing the rewarding aggressive play style from Eternal. Additionally, there are the multiple weapons and gadgets to choose from with various effects too. Overall, this is a great game if you enjoyed Eternal and/or 2016.

Mobile gaming stuff

This game has loot boxes, multiple in-game currencies, a daily login reward, in-game purchases, ads, an energy bar to where you can only play so much without either waiting, paying, or watching an ad. You can watch an ad to get a small amount of a certain currency. You can watch an ad to continue if you have a game over (which is really lame if you ask me, it’s either game over or not, right?) They ask if you want to pay $4.99 frequently to buy random stuff. There’s a store with rotating out deals.

But the gameplay itself is okay. Unfortunately all of the above makes this a game I wouldn’t play longer than a few hours. I’d rather go play the real Doom and have a solid gaming experience without the addition of all the above marketing schemes.

By

Kinda basic

It’s really nice that it’s a cute version of doom the graphics are nice the bosses are cool and the gameplay is good too but it’s just a reskin of every other basic mobile game. I’ve played this exact game multiple times through different apps over and over. There’s a lot of micro transactions and it would feel like a really nice game if there wasn’t an energy thing like all mobile games seem to have to make you pay to play more than a few times a day for some reason. If it wasn’t for the energy thing I’d probably do 4 or 5 stars I really like it but why limit people’s ability to play your game or make them pay. It’s not a fun system

Best mobile game I’ve played in a long while

I’d like to thank everyone on the Bethesda Mighty Doom team for not making the whole game revolve around ads and P2P, I have literally never have written a review for an app my entire life, but this game impresses me so much, I love how money isn’t necessary for anything but the games currency and skins and it doesn’t cover you screen with ads after every game unlike literally every mobile game to exist, keep the work up Bethesda I’m excited to see what will happen later down the line in this amazing game.

Actually really great

When I first thought of a Mobile Doom game, I just thought it couldn’t be anywhere good. But here we are, 5 star. Not gonna actually say what about what in the game but the gameplay itself is nearly addicting (in a good way) and my and many others only current problem with the game is Sentienal Batteries. Which you use to actually play the game. I think that if the capacity if the batteries were raised up, it wouldn’t be a problem. But with that out of the way. Great game, definitely a time and boredom killer.

By

Pretty fun time

There’s a lot to like here. The visuals are crisp and enjoyable to look at. The sound design has been handled lovingly to recreate DOOMs aesthetic, but in the chibi style. You can close your eyes, hear the music and immediately know what you’re playing.

Gameplay is solid. You can compare it to stuff like Archero etc. which there is absolutely nothing wrong with. The games are fun and played by many for reasons.

Download it. Play it. Enjoy it. Give the devs 5 stars because it’s the right thing to do. Cheers

It’s the new Gold Standard

As far as autofire survival games go, this already is easily the best. The reason I can’t give it five stars yet is because of the game breaking glitch that has already happened to me two days in a row while trying to complete the event stages. For some reason, after getting to a certain room and selecting my level-up upgrade, my character gets stuck trying to go through the portal to the next room and then the only option is to quit and lose my reward for the day. Once that gets fixed, it’s a five star game.

I got a speeding ticket

A week ago I got a speeding ticket for going 38 on a 25 kinda crazy I know. It was my first speeding ticket as well I thought I was going to be left off with a warning but I wasn’t. The very next day I got into a car accident and lost my car completely because some ran a stop sign. I only had my car for abt a month. Kinda crazy I know.

Other then that I’m okay. Today I downloaded this game and it brought me happiness that I needed. Thank you for saving myself!

Amazing

This is the best mobile game I have had in a hot minute it’s fun and you can’t get bored of it with all the new stuff you earn. You can turn on and off the blood and change it’s color. If a child is playing it’s alright just turn off the blood. The glory kills are also one of the best things about too I also love the fact you can pay to get different skins I think that is also a amazing part so I rate the game a 10/10

Rip off of archero, big evil corporate baloney

I played both games, archero and mighty doom, to see the similarities and differences since everyone was saying mighty doom ripped off archero.
The only two differences i could find between the two games is that 1. in archero you have to stand still to shoot and 2. The enemies in the two games are different. Besides that, it’s the exact same thing….
This game is just a big whole hunk of evil corporate greed, and I hate it
They wanted us to get hyped for this piece of crap to try and cover up the way they treated Mick Gordon and that whole situation, while also being a cash cow. It’s truly insulting how they think doom fans will consume anything with the brand name on it, even if it’s a piece of garbage.

Give It a Chance Ya’ll

I’m enjoying my time with Mighty Doom so far, it’s got easy to understand gameplay, fun touches of Doom, and weapons you know and love.

My only real issue, keeping me from giving it a 5 star review is the inclusion of an Energy mechanic. I’d love if we could get this removed as it actively encourages me to stop playing if I don’t want to spend money, which I have no aversion to reasonable micro-transactions, but I’d love to be able to just play. Not manage my time and have my wallet glory killed like the Cacodemon I just exploded from the inside.

By

(Generic good Review name!)

I think Mighty Doom is fun (even if it’s mostly archerio) because you don’t need to buy stuff to play it and while I am stuck at exultia as of now, I’ve been upgrading my gear and doing events to get coins and all those goodies. I wish you could do more challenges a day but it’s alright. It seems some people have gotten glitched but I haven’t gotten any. I have enjoyed the season 1 battle pass and if I complete it I might maybe buy the full pass to get the other rewards since I’ll get lots of gear and equipment. On the topic of that, even when you play the game a lot equipment is hard to get. You never really get from anything but the crates or very rarely events. So fusing is a very uncommon thing. The battle pass and seasonal challenges add another thing to do in the game which is nice. If the devs see this (Bethesda or the other people (i forgor name sorry)) could you add some multiplayer aspect? Like you could have accounts and friends where you can team up and take on DUO EVENTS that are like 60 stages long and need 2 players. And if you don’t have friends you can tackle it solo with a robo slayer to help! That’s just an idea. Good game!

Cash-Grabby Bare and Unoriginal but kinda fun

I’ve played for awhile now and it’s incredibly bare. There are only 9 levels and they are made stupidly difficult later on to encourage spending. Game is completely uninspired and unoriginal once you get past the doom IP. There are some cool innovations like the ultimate and secondary weapons, but there just isn’t much to do. The gear system feels incredibly lacking and chests are made very rare to balance this out. There several run breaking issues, like broken arenas, invincible enemies, and times you will take damage from enemies who aren’t even there. There’s several features like the floppy discs that appear in menus and in-game which are nonexistent and many things just feel incomplete. Enjoy the game as much as you can because it still is pretty fun but it’s incredibly difficult if you don’t spend money and there just isn’t much to do except wait for your energy to refill and attempt the same level over and over again. I hope the game will receive some new ORIGINAL updates and more content but I’m willing to bet a battle pass system will be added long before that happens. Don’t be fooled by all the other doom IP lovers saying this game is amazing, at the surface it seems great, but it’s nothing too special and could be so much better if it actually had the players in mind.

Stupidly simple, Addictively fun.

While the pitfalls of a mobile game are readily apparent, Mighty DOOM’s simple one handed control scheme makes it easier for your mighty Mini Slayer to run past attacks, laying increasingly frenetic and powerful attacks of his own on the hordes of demons standing in his way. The hardcore soundtrack and demon killing gameplay still ring true to the DOOM you probably know and love, but Mighty DOOM offers a different experience, but one that doesn’t desecrate the core experience too much. Whether it’s worth your money, that’s for you to decide… but it’s at the very least worth a try. In general, as a video game, I’d give it an 8/10, only really knocked down by microtransactions and some time limits on the amount you can play before you have to either refill your counter with real money, or just wait it out.

On the plus side, at least that wait timer gives you some ample time to hop back into DOOM Eternal, or one of the mobile DOOM ports, or even just boot up your dinosaur of a DOS PC or 90s console and indulge in the classic demon killing goodness that brings us to this wonderful series in the first place.

Stellar job by all parties. Only miffed I missed the starter pack as it took me a while to get a phone that could run it.

This game has taken over my life

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on an epic adventure in the world of Mighty Doom, a fantastical iPhone game that has completely taken over my character's life. From the moment I downloaded MightyDOOM , I was hooked on the immersive gameplay, intricate world-building, and exciting challenges that awaited me at every turn.

As my character delved deeper into the game's complex lore, battling fearsome monsters and uncovering hidden treasures along the way, I found myself spending more and more time in the virtual realm of Mighty Doom. While my family members and friends may have grown concerned about my sudden obsession with the game, I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration every time I logged on to continue my quest.

With its stunning graphics, intuitive controls, and engaging storyline, Mighty Doom is a game that truly transports you to another world. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of role-playing games, MightyDOOM is sure to provide hours of entertainment and adventure. Just be sure to set aside some time for your real-world responsibilities, or risk losing yourself in the captivating world of Mighty Doom forever.

Enjoying it so far!

I really enjoy the DOOM series so I was stoked to hear they were releasing Mighty DOOM. So far, I really enjoy it. The gameplay is fast-paced and pretty challenging! Unlike most mobile games, Mighty DOOM does not have annoying pop up ads and you can choose to watch ads to revive, or for crates and coins.

I love the art style and models for this game! The cacodemon and the mini Slayer are so adorable!!! I love how they used the toys from DOOM Eternal and even added some demons and weapons from 2016!!!

I do have some complaints though. One, there is an annoying glitch where the Slayer gets stuck in an arena after finishing it, you can’t move him at all so you can teleport to the next arena. This has been happening to me in the events. Closing the games solves this because you can continue where you left off but it’s REALLY aggravating. Pls fix!!! Second, the energy system is not the best… It is too limited. 10 minutes for 1 energy is a bit ridiculous!!!! Maybe limit to >5 minutes per energy? The seraphim offers are a bit… trash though. I never accept them either so it doesn’t really bother me that much.

Great game but…

Needs controller support. Like I mean the controller works but devs need to make away to change orientation to fit the iPhone screen or change the direction of the physical analog so it can be played in portrait mode I hope this review does not go unnoticed please update that to the game. I would love to used actual thumb stick. Like also change orientation to run portrait mode side ways with controller support. That would be great also if that’s possible. Oh I really like how the game covers the screen. Just need a more controller option where you could move the digital analog to bottom right in portrait mode that way, the game would easily be played in landscape and during landscape, you can see further ahead. With out a controller. Or if you attach a physical controller and play in portrait mode The left analog stick can be use to move doom guy around and maybe the d-pad is for switching weapons (secondary button) or in landscape, the secondary button becomes (A) button.

Too much RNG makes game unplayable at later levels

Game is too heavily dependent on luck, not enough on skill. The amount of RNG in this game is extremely frustrating - well past the point where it makes people want to spend money, and to the point where people want to quit playing. No matter how much one spends on the game, you can’t avoid runs - and these happen often - where you get awful upgrades offered to you all game. Considering good runs occasionally happen as well, the loss aversion is real. Give people more control over upgrades, even if it’s via some kind of purchase. And then there’s much more RNG on top of that - no enemy staggers (i.e. health pickups) when needed, revive ads not working ~50% of the time (basically game-breaking when you’re in the middle of a great run on a tough level, and the revive ad freezes and your run just ends). Just give players the revive, if the ad freezes! I haven’t even gotten to RNG for item drops.

Gameplay is great, but I’m at Stage 9 now where difficulty has been ramped up, and much more grinding is necessary. Grinding, while boring to begin with, is made vastly worst by frustrating RNG upgrades, which can sometimes triple or quadruple the length of a boring grind run.

QoL Updates NEEDED

First off, I’m very concerned that the developers respond to negative feedback with defensiveness and justifications for their design choices. It tells me that they are not concerned with the thoughts of the community which can lead to the death of a game. I don’t want a link to some throwaway virtual box you won’t read, I want to see here that you acknowledge that there is room for improvement.

Next, the game needs to be rebalanced severely. Some of the weapons are useless beyond certain stages. There is a lack of diversity in base elemental weapons which railroads you into certain load outs. The level design is arcade-like in the sense that you’re clearly meant to fail to get more “quarters”. I like a challenge but it is obnoxious and obvious when you’re getting screwed. This doesn’t help with the suspicion from the community with the sense that it is intentional. Same goes for the random talents that are generally favorable and yet on the final stage, I get the most useless sets to force me to reroll. The amount of talents dedicated to glory kills is ridiculous and useless in most cases considering the random chance of staggering enemies.

I like this game, there is a lot of potential. I hope Alpha Dog does better.

The definition of pay to play

This game is really not that great. You take away
doom skin and it falls apart very quickly. And the main glaring issue is that if you run out of “energy” tokens, you literally have to pay money to play the game. Like nah, I’ll just put my phone down do something else and forget all about playing it again because I like most people have a short attention span. Pretty dumb idea to make me stop playing your game, but whatever. The bosses are super boring and repetitive, not to mention they're the same enemies you fight every level, just literally a bigger version, nothing different they're just a larger version of the same characters you fight every level. The bosses themselves are pretty difficult, not in a fun way but rather in a impossible and money grubbing way, because guess what? if you die fighting the super hard boss, (you will) you can pay to keep going! And huge one for me, is how toned down the gore and violence is. They obviously want to appeal to a broader audience and toned it down enough that kids can play, which in my opinion is very anti doom and not at all why id play this type of game. There no guts, no glory, just big red glitchy splotches. All in all super meh, has a ton of potential that I highly doubt will ever be reached because money.

Dangerously Addictive

Normally i dont write reviews on mobile games, but this game deserves all the praise. I am surprised by the quality of the game, everything you need in a casual time killer is in this game. there’s so many options for playing, and there’s a ton of weapons from the real Doom game that it makes every run a little different from your last. Not only is it packed with content, but its also surprisingly balanced so far, there isn’t really much of a pay to win system that you see in many other games. There is equipment and power ups that you can buy, but the game supplies you with enough “gems” that if you play consistently enough, you dont really need to pay. Another thing is that there is no ads in between gameplay or every 5 minutes, there are occasional ads which the game gives as optional for the player to choose in order to gain some Xp or get a respawn, its such a breath of relief. Overall this game was crafted almost perfectly, my only gripe is that it needs a constant online connection, which is mostly just a nitpick if we’re being honest.

Clone of Archero

This game is just a clone/rip off of Archero. The bosses specifically the Revenant boss is terrible, you just wait most of the time for them to stop flying & land to get like 5-10 hits in, hands down the worst.
It’s super P2W, like you get a few free chests at the beginning but you pretty much will always pull the lowest rarity item you can get, personally never pulled anything past common on the 2nd paid chest. You can pay to get different skins that give you huge boosts over the regular default skin. You only get 20 energy then it has to recharge, lame. One attempt is 5 energy, so you only get 4 then have to wait, you also don’t get more as you level
up. You have to unlock every weapon by either getting them through playing the game (you only get 3 free for the first 5ish areas all at common is the worst) or you pay to unlock a chest & hope you get one you want or one for an upgrade. Also upgrading weapons, slayer & armor is just dumb. You have to micromanage all of that to maybe not have power creep hit you really hard. Even after all the upgrades for everything you still feel weak & can do like no damage to enemies, while they keep getting way way stronger. Only really tried this game because Doom IP, that’s it. Game overall is a stinker.

Great, but needs a few fixes

I’m a pretty big fan of the DOOM franchise, so when I learnt that there was a mobile version, I knew I had to get it. It’s a fun and addicting game and I highly recommended it, however it has some issues.

It’s very difficult, which I’m fine with because it’s a DOOM game, but because of some bugs, sometimes it’s unplayable. For example, sometimes once I’m almost done clearing the enemies, a new round will start even though the map isn’t fully cleared. Now idk if that’s a feature in the game or if it’s a glitch, but it’s really annoying and sometimes can cost a run. Another bug I have that is really annoying, is if there’s an enemy along a wall and I need to shoot them and I’m against the same wall using a rocket launcher or a gauss cannon, sometimes the rocket will just hit the wall.

Neither of these things happen that often, but when they do it’s extremely annoying. And idk if these are glitches or if I’m just really bad, but still these things do mess up the game a little bit. But as for the rest of the game, it’s still really good.

Does not disappoint.

Amazing game. I love the weapons and the boss fights. I love how it still keeps the weapons and the glory kills. The only problem I have is that it only have nine levels. Granted it gets really hard getting closer to them (I do love a good challenge tho) but come on, doom has soooooo many additional packs and worlds to fight on. This game could definitely add a lot of more levels. I would literally pay for them as well because of how great this game it. I love also how this game isn’t flooded with ads. Sure you can choose to watch one to save your skin but it’s not really annoying. I also love the gems. It give you enough everyone and then as you level up and all that you are satisfied with what you get to spend on gems or boxes. I mean some might complain that later in the game it makes it harder to encourage you to buy more but all I got to say is Get Gud.

By

Great game but could be better

After playing this game for a while I have to say that I love it. I have a few criticisms though. Having only 20 energy with every mission, including events cost 5 energy to play is a bit much. 30 gems to get only 5 energy with few ways to get good amounts of gems without paying is also annoying for someone who is going f2p. 15 gems for a single revive is also a bit costly. For a game like this, energy refills on level up is a MUST and I think it should be implemented asap. I also think that every 5 level ups or so, you should get a max energy increase. Every 5 character levels you get 5 additional energy. I also think that more missions need to be added because I want to be able to play more once I finish the main missions currently available in the game. Outside of that, other complaints about the game getting old once you get past the doom ip are just opinions. Everybody likes different stuff and for me this game isn’t gonna get old any time soon.

By

Could easily be made better

I’ve been playing this for a couple weeks now and have some strong opinions on the game.

Starting with what I like about Mighty Doom, the controls and overlay are quite simple and easy to use, I like the system for upgrading gear (you can downgrade your current gear in exchange for the coins you spent on it), the graphics are nice and it mostly runs smoothly. The overall gameplay and mechanics are enjoyable and entertaining. The theme is instantly recognizable as Doom.

Now for the drawbacks, the biggest issue is the lack of glory kills (the main way you get health) in the campaign mode. This isn’t an issue for event modes but I’ve noticed in the main levels you can go for multiple stages without a single glory kill which gets incredibly frustrating, and the in game upgrades that say they increase glory kill chances don’t show any change to this infrequency. The game is also quite pay to win but I expect that with mobile games. It’s not a huge issue because there’s no multiplayer. One final issue I have is with the amount of annoying stage components that deal damage such as spikes and shooters that shoot projectiles. These are just a nuisance and don’t add anything to the level.

In conclusion, I probably wouldn’t play this game if it wasn’t Doom themed and I hope the developers fix some of the most annoying mechanics (glory kills). The developers probably won’t see this or even care but I thank you for reading this review.

Enemy Targeting Logics (my honest suggestion please read)

It’s a great game and I love it, but I hope there is a firing logic toggle for weapons. Since this is an auto-firing game play, there is not much we can do to intervene the slayer’s targeting choices. I figure the current logic is “whoever closer to the slayer will be fired upon first”. This logic works great with close range weapons like shotguns, but it’s kinda annoying for ranged weapons like rifles; there are times that we wish to take out sniper enemies at distance before others, but we cannot do that under such fixed logic. Some times we would have a long range main weapon plus a short range secondary weapon such as “heavy cannon + super shotgun”, or the other way around like “combat shotgun + gauss cannon”. So you can see the targeting logic could work differently for different types of weapons I just wish there could be a button to toggle the firing options like “low health enemy first” or “sniper enemies first” or “small enemies first” or “large enemy first” etc and etc.

Stereotypical plagiarism

A copycat Archer Hero (I don’t play the game). As a fan of gaming of all sorts no matter the platform seeing a triple A dev team put together an un-original rip off of another game so that they can make up a profit off the backs of another mobile games individuality is pathetic. They should be above that. I’m also tired of Triple A developers capitalizing on what we think we know about mobile games and developing them because they can take advantages of the profit using gambling mechanics instead of doing what’s right and developing or porting a game from earlier developments on other platforms to mobile. The excuse that “a lot of people don’t have a good enough phone” is no longer an excuse. I’ve been a proud mobile gamer for the last 9 years it’s been getting better and better but seemingly only by the independent developers. I keep seeing my favorite triple a teams turn an evil heart and greedily sponge off this platform and it’s disgusting. This game is just another example of why not to trust triple a gaming anymore. We’re no longer safe from their greed.

Great game!..but

Only thing is the bosses need better scaling and on iOS when you minimize the game and go back to resume your session there’s a really annoying thing that happens. If you don’t pass the level by advancing to the next area BEFORE you minimize the game (even if you kill all the enemies) when you resume your session it will make your redo that level. However, if the same thing happens except rather than killing all the enemies, you die, quickly minimize the game then try to relaunch to see if it does the same it doesn’t. Your game ends. This happened to me on the final raid boss of level 4-30. I killed him but didn't advance to the next area before I minimized the game and went back to a fully healed boss and died the second go ruining my run. That’s very annoying and makes someone want to quit when there’s load/ save issues.

Only thing missing is full controller support

This is a very good game that in a nice way feeds off the nostalgia of doom I love it a lunch and will give it a five star anyways because of how much fun I’m having with it. The only thing missing in this game is full controller support. You can link your controller up and move your character around and shoot, but if you could please make a Way so I never have to touch the screen while my controller is connected someway so I can get my upgrades in a match with a button instead of reaching all the way over to tap the screen. I like to connect my phone to the TV to play, but I constantly have to keep looking over and tapping the screen when an upgrade pops up or to navigate the dashboard

PLEASE give us full controller support, so we do not have to touch the screen at all while the controller is connected

Its average

The gameplay loop is fun if you have the right weapons. Some feel just right while others like the burst rifle or chainsaw feel weak. All the super weapons need to be able to use more waiting to use them only once or twice on a level is lame. The glory kills need more variety than just the same one over and over. The cash shop is insufferable and all the skins are way overpriced as usual. The battle pass level 35 plus just gives gems which is fine except that you get only 10 of them for every 1000 points unlike how you get 5 rewards for that amount prior in the battle pass. The reward should be increased or changed. Overall it is fun for a bit but gets old there needs to be more player incentive to play then dailys. It get old real quick and seeing the cash shop get more attention then the gameplay itself really tells you that not much is gonna get better. The events help the replay ability alot but honestly needs more rewards. I am already done with battlepass and there is still 15 days left of it.

Been playing from the beginning

I got bored, and extremely frustrated and annoyed with this game after playing it for 6 months. Once you level up to above 70 it becomes too hard, takes too long to do any daily missions, rewards are not worth the time. I got fed up and quit. I was spending money on this game, I wouldn’t call myself a whale, but I bet I’ve dumped a minimum of $50 into this game, probably way more than that. If I hadn’t spent money, the grind would have been intolerable. It was intolerable spending money too, a large part of why I quit. I’d recommend playing it until you’re tempted to spend money to progress. Then quit and uninstall the game.
I like the new mode, but, it takes too long. It’s up to random chance how far you’ll go. The first time I got to 57, 2nd time finished at 70, third got to 35 because the “upgrades” were so bad. The rewards are nowhere near good enough. If I have to sit here for 70 levels I want more than 13K credits for my time. I like the mode, but I’m not into it because it feels like a waste of time. Random daily rewards and token rewards are also a waste of my time. I’m not going to sit through an ad for 10-20 tokens for something I probably already have 7K of.

Keeps me coming back

This is my go to game on mobile. I find the pace and run times are finely tuned to not get dull. The artwork and animations are morbid, satisfying and captivating to view while I’m stomping all over hellspawn. Updates and themes constantly change to keep it fresh and up to date with whatever holiday is happening. Alpha Dog was the right studio to take doom mobile and make gameplay intuitive enough that my 3 year old is able to figure out how to navigate the controls if I leave my phone out while keeping it fun enough that I keep coming back. Gameplay, Audio, Level design all mix well.
Microtransactions come at you from all over but does not seem to hinder gameplay or the grind for gear, although gear sets that come in 3 are hard to come by and level up.
I’m sure Carmack and especially Romero are pleased to see a variation of Doom succeeding on mobile.

RIP

So I had a bug in the game where for some reason I couldn't fuse the final 3 blue things to make my first purple primary, right after spending money on the game to get some keys and playing for like 3 months, even after restarting. I was so excited to finally have a purple primary, so I uninstalled and reinstalled - lost all my data. Not gonna restart all over again and y'all aren't getting any more of my money unless you can somehow resolve this. The game is super pay2win and the devs don't listen to the community at all. The levels increase in difficulty by like 2-5x each level, so it takes like a month of grinding challenges/buying the battle pass to progress, only for it to take another few months to get the items. I've spent $30 on this game and feel completely ripped off. Before this issue, I'd say the game is a good time waster, but really repetitive and lots of the bosses can be easily beat by just standing really close to them so their weapons fire past you. I'd say, if I didn't have this stupid bug that caused me to lose all my data, the game is 4*, compared to other mobile games. It's great for the bus and such, but not something you should waste time on throughout the day. I do like the arcade feel, and it does feel a bit like DOOM, so that's nice.

Almost amazing

For starters, I’m absolutely loving this game. It’s easy to jump in and play. Simple and fun gameplay with loads of weapon/equipment loadouts to experiment with. However, once you get hooked and can’t stop playing, you’ll quickly realize that you are now trapped in an endless cycle of RNG. It is insanely annoying to get weapon and equipment drops that don’t align with my playstyle. I get it, it’s a grind to master this game, but I wish there were a couple options to choose from when claiming rewards or opening loot crates. I get excited every time I unlock one only to find yet another common pair of boots waiting for me. Most players will most likely give up on the game because the grind for garbage loot drops makes the game stale. I wouldn’t mind the grind as much if it weren’t for the……you guessed it! The ADs. They are solely responsible for the loss of a star. Especially now with a recent update, the ads force you to click to open MightyDOOM Store so you can close it and then wait ANOTHER 5 seconds to finally get back to the game. I would gladly pay for an ad free version instead of watching ads about royal match. I’m pretty sure the doom franchise could do without the extra cash from the ads.

I never get the upgrades I actually need

I enjoy the game, and the well thought out idea that you can dismantle weapons you’re not happy with. Oh yeah, having some demons appear during the boss fights is a great idea too. You have the opportunity to replenish your health from glory kills. Excellent idea. I do wish there were other weapons. It’s forever and a day to get things you need to fuse. There are at least 4 that I never use because they take too long to regenerate or they do very little damage. I’ve stuck with the chainsaw the entire time. I’m on level 12 part 2 of the Mars missions. The giant stock pile I have of worthless weapons is laughable. The weapons you were successful with in the level before do almost nothing in the very next level. For those who are stuck and having trouble with bosses, I suggest trying different weapons combos, use things you might not like. There are times when they do more damage to particular bosses. Also your gear can help you win it or get annihilated. lol Thanks
