Monet - Draw for Dates/Friends Reviews

I love the concept for Monet and was having a lot of fun with it for the first few days! Suddenly though, it took away my ability to draw on other people’s profiles. My messages still work and I’m still getting responses to my own prompt, but I can’t participate anymore :(

Is this happening to anyone else on the early versions of Monet ??

I wanted to escape from Tinder and Bumble due to not having been successful on those apps. I like the illustration concept a lot. It’s extremely unique and can strike up some great conversations. There are some downsides, however.

Pros:
-user friendly
-unique design layout
-drawing is fun regardless of your skill set
-ice breaker questions for profile are interesting

Cons:
-too niche for now
-despite having local for my location, I’m mostly getting people no where near my area
-more colors for artwork creation
-an eraser feature would be nice
-notifications could be better, a unique sound would probably compel people to use it often

It’s a great start so far, but it definitely can be improved. I normally don’t have my dating profile for longer than month, but I’m willing to keep it a bit long and hopefully it gets better from here on out.

I feel like Monet concept is super genius and I think for people in my age group 18-27 Monet is PERFECT. it’s a great way to meet people however I hope y’all add location preferences soon! it’s cool talking to people from around the world but i’d really like to talk to people who live near me! pleaseeee make this available soon, I love Monet and the design and concept but I simply rarely use it because I have no interest in dating people who live in a different country as me!

The concept is great, the only thing I would fix is the location because it seems weird to have a local option for location when it is still going to pop up people internationally rather than close by.

Monet is an amazing idea! Definitely never seen anything like this. I just find that Monet has a bit too many bugs especially when uploading a doodle to another person. It glitches and kicks you off Monet . And the doodle I worked over 5 minutes on just gets instantly deleted. It’s frustrating:( it’s happen over 5 times in the past 3 days, and I do not know why.

Sometimes it freezes when sending a picture if I switch over to a chat too fast, which means I have to restart Monet and lose the picture. Also I wish there was a way to make it only show me people who are looking for friends since I'm not looking for dates. But it's definitely fun to start a convo with a drawing and send new ones, so the core experience is solid!

I really like Monet and it’s concept. A couple things I wanted to point out were that 1.) I don’t think I was given the option to add a bio upon initial set up and had to go back and add it, and 2.) the drawing prompts are usually cut off after a certain number of characters so I can’t read the entire thing :(

I just got it today and I’m loving it so far but there’s a bug that happens every time I try to edit my profile and hit save it gets stuck on the saving screen and I have to reload Monet

I accidentally skip on some people and and I never get to see them again or sometimes my wifi acts up and I lose that person 💔I don’t mind seeing the same people

I came across Monet on TikTok, and it’s super fun!! I like it a lot more than Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge just because I don’t have to pay in order to unlock certain features. It would be great if more colors could be included in future updates as well as adding the option to be able to zoom in on your drawing because it can be difficult to add small details. Increasing the character count for drawing captions would also be convenient. Overall, this is an awesome app that I definitely will continue to use!!!

Monet is near and dear to my heart. My mother passed when I was 15 so I’ve been going through life with no one to nag me about my dating life or set me up with their coworkers, this app has changed that for me. Thank you for everything this app, you’ll never know how much you truly mean to me. Xx

I was a beta tester and man is this a good way to meet people, or worst case scenario have a bit of fun! I'm a horrid artist but i had fun and there were plenty of other users who werent artists but still enjoyed it! Plus i made some quality (hopefully longterm) friends from it!!! Overall an awesome app and I'd highly recommend it!

I was part of the beta testing group and have been able to see Monet flourish into what it is now! I can see how hard the creators worked on Monet and it is truly is worth your time, especially if you're looking for love or to just make friends! :')

It's so fun to draw silly little things for others, and honestly, I feel as though I was able to make more genuine connections through it compared to other social/dating apps that I have used before. It's cheesy, but a picture really does mean 1000 words! Definitely check out this wholesome app! 11/10 would recommend! :')

The concept is fantastic and I think once more people start using it it’ll be even better.
Most of the people I ended up talking to were outside of my state which isn’t ideal but definitely worth it. I just started dating this very sweet boy from Chicago (I’m in Florida) and I couldn’t be happier ☺️

I’ve been following Monet for like two months now. I couldn’t get in on the beta testing, so i’ve just been waiting and checking for them to release it fully. And now that they have I jumped on it immediately. Everything is so nice and it runs so smoothly. I’ve already gotten a match as well! Monet is gonna beat out every other dating app I swear.

I’ve been here since testflight! Honestly Monet works really well considering it’s just been released. The idea for this is is great. It’s non-conventional and a great conversation starter. The prompts are top notch, very creative. Much artistry from the creators. There’s a broad array of people and it’s very easy to use. The functionality is great, and communicating with the developers is very easy especially if there’s a bug in Monet .

I’ve been waiting for Monet to come out since I saw the originally TikTok for it when it was still in it’s early stages. In my opinion, the my attraction to this app is the simplicity of a dating app and the unique feature that is the drawing tool. You can’t really make a really nice looking picture so it makes starting conversations easier and more interactive than other platforms.

Sometimes I receive messages but can’t see them. For example, it would show up as General(2) but I only see one person’s reply. Some info or fix for this would be great.

12/22Update: After recent updates and reinstalling Monet , the issue is still there.

12/24 Update: After reaching out to support, everything works well. I love Monet and the team behind it!

I was one of the beta testers and man Monet is just the best!! reminds me sm of “draw something”, but better bc u get to meet lots of cool people :)) I never dared put myself out there on dating sites, but with Monet it was a much more comfy/wholesome experience. I’ve made tons of nice friends through it too! Also the creators obviously care so much, and are always active/listening to suggestions on the discord. Overall, an amazing app created by really cool people!!

Although it's really a good experience making use of Monet though sharing your experience with new friends and having a great conversation is when you are truly spending your time with making new friends and sharing your moments with them..it's a wonderful experience whenever I'm sharing my thoughts on this platform..

this is such a fun app!!! instead of the regular swiping to match, you draw a picture! the pictures that people draw are based on a prompt that you set on your profile. the interface and font are super cute and this is such a nice way to meet people! it’s also not just a dating app, you can use it similar to bumble where you only search for friends. definitely a must try app!
