- Simple and useful app
- Easy to create and add notes as widgets to the home screen
- No need to open and close the app to access notes
- Gradients and other premium features are cool and worth the upgrade
- All features were free in the past

Dude, fix it. You took my money now make StickyWidgets work the way it was working before you thought it was a good idea to put an untested update out there and wipe out all my notes! What were you thinking! Oh wait you weren't thinking. You just threw your crap out there untested! What a disgrace. I am so sad. I paid for StickyWidgets upgrade and was using it constantly and the last update failed and it no longer works. It won't even open anymore. It just bombs out. I try to add my widget notes back and it bombs. I am angry. There is not even a way to contact the developer via StickyWidgets Store. It's a shame. DON'T BOTHER downloading it because it does not work.

I got StickyWidgets for free awhile ago. And everything on it was free. font styles, background colors, widget sizes and everything. I liked that StickyWidgets was free and all the features were free. You don’t find that very often with apps because you have to pay for most apps like this. However, I haven’t used StickyWidgets in awhile because I don’t always need a sticky note on my Home Screen. This morning, I opened StickyWidgets to create a sticky note to remind myself of something and I see that I can’t even change my background color, font style, widget size or anything without having to pay. Every time I go to change anything a window pops up that’s says I have to pay 3$ just to change the dang color. Like don’t get me wrong 3$ is cheap but I can also write my notes down on a piece of paper for free… I will save my 3$ and delete this stupid app.

I like the list mode of StickyWidgets, but I don’t like that it is so difficult to move the new list to your Home Screen. StickyWidgets makes it easier to create a new note within StickyWidgets . Then when you are ready to move the note to your Home Screen, it is impossible. The only way to get a note on your home is to move start it there, which is counterintuitive to how StickyWidgets naturally works. Then if you do have a new note on the Home Screen and you want to change the title from the default “sticky widget” it removes your note from the home screen and replaces it with a blank note. Also, this blank note does not have the new title either. It does the job, but if I have to hunting for my notes, it’s not really as helpful. Considering looking for something else that fits my needs better and doesn’t waste so much of my time.

I purchased StickyWidgets a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to support Tyler’s efforts, and I find digital S Notes helpful. However, I gave up on it after buying because of time constraints, and being tricky to use. I had time, so I figured out how to use it today, but it’s either missing features that I would like it to have, or I haven’t learned how to use it completely. I have no regrets about supporting Tyler, though, and I would be thrilled to change my review in the future if some improvements are made.

On my iPhone, the font can now be smaller when inputting it, but on the note it’s so big that it wraps a single word. I wrote Respond and half the word is on the next line. Seems scaling should be turned on.
Also I did try adding several widgets to have several notes. They all had the same single note on it and when I changed one, they all changed.
The restore feature does nothing.
The first widget let me select one of three colors. Adding another widget and that was taken away and only yellow remained.
This is a good try but not yet ready to work.
-edit as developer responded
Starting to see some progress here but still lacks some basic things.
The developer sounds a lot like an engineer, needs to work a bit more UX. Sure stickies should be numbered but with no list to select the numbers, and no labels for the numbers all you have is a guess unless you are one of those people that remembers a random number and your note.
Basically, the concept needs to be reworked as a note platform first, with a sticky note option. Simple delete a note swipe. Select which note will be on the widget from the main app with a simple select or check box. Speaking of check boxes, you should be able to prioritize and dismiss a sticky note so it can be used like a to do list. Add alarm functionality and you have a basic app!

Stick notes carry along the concept of “embodied design”, which implies that you need to share your space with your note schemes. The approach of a widget centered app is awesome not only because it is straightforward, but because it detours the traditional app containment that breaks off with embodied design.
On the flip side, the “ID management” is really bad, and hard to figure out actually. The approach is also vulnerable to Apple’s widget management system, so after you add your first note, Apple presumes you won’t repeat the same widget and StickyWidgets for all way down the widget list at “W” alphabetic position. So expect lots of scrolling after your first widget :(

Update on App. Developer contacted me about updates he made to App. Thank you Tyler. Good job at listening to input thank you. I want you to have the best sticky widget ever. Keep up the good work. Five stars. Keep improving and I’ll soon be happy to pay for App.
StickyWidgets is almost there. It’s a good start. How do you delete a note from the saved notes area? It would be nice to be able to stack the notes. If it had a settings feature then we could create a new note and not have to double tap an existing note to create a new note. There’s room for lots of improvement. Thanks. Keep up the good work

Update:
Bugs fixed, and most of my notes are done except #3. Great job form the developer 👏
Thank You.
To be clear I have the upgraded version, and there are many downsides in this version:
1- the ads tab is shown regularly though I have the full version.
2- doesn't not fully support the system font, if try to add a word in the middle of a sentence, the cursouer will jump the last letter in the note after first letter you entered.
3- doesn't support rich fonts such as bold,Italian, underlines fonts. Also, doesn't support check list
4- there are no many options of notes colors or fonts colors.
5- there is a bug shows you a list of instructions that you see when you open StickyWidgets for the first time for tiny second of time when you tap on the note to edit.
Good luck to imporve StickyWidgets , until then I don't recommend that you buy the full version.

Such a simple app that is so useful for reminders. No need for a complicated reminder app anymore. 4 stars because there’s just a couple things that would make it even more enjoyable/useful:
- When adding a second sticky note and typing, it changes the other notes to say the same thing. I think it would be nice to be able to have multiple notes on the screen so I could have a grocery list one and reminder one.
- More fonts, colors and ways to personalize notes.

StickyWidgets is great and just what I was looking for! I decided to upgrade and love all of the customization.
A few suggestions:
- I’d love to be able to change the padding of a note it’s a little close for comfort when left or right aligning text
- Would like to see a number picker or number pad instead of a sliders for the text size and text rotation as it’s hard to get a specific number with the slider

Wonderful implementation of a widget in iOS 14! If we could have the widget on the Lock Screen, it would be perfect! That would make viewing shopping lists so much easier, especially in these mask-wearing times at the supermarkets. Thank you for StickyWidgets . I don't really have a need for the premium features, but I bought them anyway just to support the developer and his good idea. I hope others will, too!

StickyWidgets seems really useful, but I just can’t get the customization to work! I’ve redownloaded StickyWidgets multiple times on my phone but the customization button doesn’t do anything when I click it. 5 stars because I really hope the developer sees this so that I can use this properly. PS. I thought at first you could only customize with a premium, so maybe that’s a cause of the problem?

First off thanks for the update! The cursor jumping issue was driving me crazy. I absolutely love this widget for it’s simplicity. It’s a post it for your home screen. Other apps I tried all have additional features and gimmicks. I already have a notes app, a calendar, reminders, etc. and I don’t want those duplicated here. I still use post it notes for some items that I need to keep at the top of my mind each day and does just that.
by LikesMyTouch
I like StickyWidgets . Very simple and useful. However, the update erased my note, and I see no way to change fonts, alignment, etc, including the premium features I purchased. Settings for StickyWidgets have almost nothing. I am running iOS 14.0.1 on a 11 Pro Max. I’m still rating it 5-stars, because I expect the problem to be solved. One possible clue, something seems to flash before the keyboard appears, but then is hidden by the keyboard, which I see no way to lower. Could that be where the settings are supposed to be.
Update: I tried this on my iPad and saw a note to long-press the note to access settings. This works, so the lost note is the only casualty; fortunately I only had one, but I’d be pretty annoyed if I had a bunch.

This issue has now been fixed, and just one day after I posted my original review (see below). Raising my rating to five stars.
I just upgraded and installed the latest version as well. Now, when I click the Customize button, nothing happens. The screen for making customizations doesn’t appear. This only started happening with the latest version. This is a great little app. Does just what you’d expect, but it seems there is a bug that is preventing the customization window from opening.

So now the problems below are fixed - but now when you add info to a sticky note or delete info and save it, it doesn’t save, it reverts back to what it was....sigh....I keep trying to love StickyWidgets. Please fix!
I love the idea of StickyWidgets. But the instruction screen is often on instead of my sticky note. Also when i try to delete text, it jumps down to the bottom and deletes. My
Phone is up to date and I have the most current version of StickyWidgets . Any suggestions? Also sometimes the font size is very small even when it’s set to a very large font size...HELP!
by NatMonsterr
Wow, they really are just like sticky notes. No fuss, no opening and closing an app and searching through other notes, they’re just on your screen. I have a whole Home Screen page that’s just layered sticky notes and it’s super helpful. Personally, I bought the upgrade and found it well worth it, the gradients are cool (try dragging the dots around btw) and it feels nice to support StickyWidgets’s developer. And even better, it’s not a monthly/yearly subscription!!! Many thanks to the dev, and if you’re the kind of person who covers your house in sticky notes, now you can take them with you!

I was looking for a way to label each home screen on my iPhone. Thought I would give this a try, and initially had some trouble figuring out how to make different notes a widget. Watched the tutorials and discovered to do this. 1 Key, rename the note to something easy to remember. 2 Then add a widget to the new page which will look like the same widget as before, which is confusing. 3 Then long hold to edit that widget and turn on “set with name”. 4 Then type in the name of the note you want as the widget and Voila! Your correct note will now appear as the widget. Looking forward to using StickyWidgets to categorize each page on my phone. Thank you!

I like StickyWidgets really but my only problem and it’s more of a personal problem than it being a major problem which is when deciding to upgrade you should allow us to see what the colors/styles that are available after upgrading, that is the only thing that is stopping me from upgrading, i hope in the next update you guys add some sort of preview of the colors that i will unlock after upgrading so that I(and many others) can decide whether it’s worth the upgrade or not.

Easy to create widget for Home Screen. But it appears you can only add one (1) widget. Come on!
by Zeekster94020
I don’t think this works at all. First instruction “add sticky note to your Home Screen. HOW?
by Bender Larry
Be great if it worked!
I can move it to the home page but it will not open up.
by Krt186
The widget shows up on my Home Screen but when I tap it I can’t actually add a reminder window. In addition, it doesn’t show up in my Widgets. Needs improvement.

Love the concept of StickyWidgets but I built a widget stack with 5 sticky widgets and here are the consistent bugs:
1. When scrolling through the stack, sticky notes disappear. This causes the entire stack to freeze up. Sometimes it will come back if you SLOWLY try to flip the widget again. Seems to affect the pink and blue notes more than the yellow.
2. The entire sticky widgets stack will freeze if you flip through them at a normal speed.
For ME, I like having a stack of sticky notes I can flip through for important tidbits of easily forgettable data. StickyWidgets doesn’t cut the mustard right now. I’ll check back when updates come back to see of it gets any better. When it does, my rating will get better too.
by Appliancejunk
Maybe I’m just not doing it correctly but when I go to add additional sticky notes the new note isn’t blank but already includes text from the previous note. Then when I go to edit the additional note the previous note also gets edited at the same time. Hope to see an update soon.

Weird audio quirk. Seems sketchy

However, it seems to pause audio whenever it’s opened.

Can’t find directions to change color or font.

Love StickyWidgets and it’s simple to use. Love the idea cause i love sticky notes! BUT, it won’t post emoji which is kinda sad. Maybe as an update soon? Also, would love to see orange sticky notes... but thats just me not a review.

Great execution on a simple but perfect idea.

This is great

Works exactly like you would think! Took a bit to figure out how to change the font (edit the widget directly), but otherwise took no effort to set up.

I have been using stickies on macOS for many years, I’ve always wanted sticky notes on my iPhone and iPad. Finally I got it! My only wish is that there was a Mac version so I could sync my stickies between my Mac and iPhone.

Thank for adding new colors! Instabuy! Hope to see also font color choices.
