I loved Yidget until I switched to zoomed view through display settings. So I'm not talking about zoomed view when setting wallpaper... When in zoomed display mode it makes the widgets themselves slightly larger which in turn makes the widgets look ever so slightly misaligned and thus taking away from the "transparent" effect. I cannot tell you how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried making the text bigger or smaller on the phone to see what was causing it. Then it came to me. I had my phone in zoomed mode under Display settings. Once I turned that off and tapped on the widget to open this app. I tapped the three dots on chosen thumb. Then tapped on update with screenshot and BAM! The widgets all sank into perfect alignment. So, this will be a 5 star when everyone can use this.(those using zoomed mode)

I was using this app with no problem for around two years (in zoomed mode). But I upgraded to iPhone 14 (from a 7) and now, now matter what I try, the widgets don’t align with the background. This is additionally disappointing since I just upgraded to the pro version because I thought it was a good app and wanted to support the developer. But there is something wrong with this. The developer has not responded to my request for help.

Additionally, the work flow had changed, and just figuring out how to change the widgets for a new wallpaper was incredibly unclear and difficult. I don’t remember it being this difficult when I first set it up a while ago.

Stay away from paying for Yidget unless you know it works for you and your phone.

One of the best and true tranparent apps. No app name at the bottom, you don’t have to screen shot to have a perfect overlay of background. I only wish you could have multiple setups on the home screen at one time with different pictures. Once you choose a image and position it. If you choose another image it will just swap out the pictures which causes you to reconfigure placements. I bought the premium hoping that would change, sadly it didn’t. You can just have three different preset images to choose from. Still one of the best transparency apps just needs a few more features.

For some reason I don’t have the issue with Yidget name showing below the widget as mentioned by other people. Now I’m worried that it will begin to show....

If you always remember to pinch the home screen image to ‘resize’ it in Yidget it will almost always line up perfectly and if not, tell Yidget to ‘update’ with a screen shot.

I too paid for the pro version just because I appreciate the work that goes into scripting an app like this. Thanks! 👍🏼☺️

Yidget fills in the gaps of iOS 14’s home screen customization for me. The support for shortcut icons let me arrange my apps in a pattern around my wallpaper, which I had never thought to try before. Highly recommended!

Just know that if you use shortcut icons, they don’t seem to update after you “update from screenshot.” You’ll have to create a new wallpaper with that screenshot instead.

Yidget works great, it is simple to use and is a great way for me to make my phone screen look simple. However, each widget that I have on my Home Screen right now has a small line “——“ where the name of a widget should be, and in the past this was just nothing. Please fix this as it completely takes away from the minimalist look I am going for

I love Yidget and think it delivers on everything I got it for. On most wallpapers it will blend in perfectly. But it also has an extra feature where if you set up to widget to open up a webpage, this is amazing I do wish that it didn’t have to open up the this app app first instead just went straight to the webpage. Other than this small detail this is a great app.

Exactly what I was looking for! Works terrific. I paid for Pro (despite free version having all the features I need) because it works so well. It would be made even better if you could set a schedule to change the wallpaper used so that the widgets could switch between Dark & Light mode at the same time as the phone.

I got Yidget thinking, this is gonna be one of those apps with premium and whatnot but when I downloaded it, it actually wasn’t that bad. The only downside is that you can only save three cropped images at a time. Other than that, totally recommend :3

This works extremely well to create an invisible widget appearance! Yidget doesn’t have a title on the home screen so there is no floating app name below the widget. My only complaint is that sometimes the widget doesn’t always display the same whites as the wallpaper. Overall a great app!

I have been using Yidget since iphone 6s now I'm running the 13 pro max. It takes some getting use to but first save your wallpaper from Yidget them make your blocks. Everything will line up nicely.

The transparent widgets are incredible and have helped me set up my home screen in a very cool and unique way. However, randomly the transparent widgets on my home screen will turn black then flash back to transparency then flash black then back to transparency over and over again and the only way to fix it is to lock my phone and wait a few minutes. Not sure how to fix this.

Really good app if you want to move your app icons to the bottom of your screen…for some reason on the other apps the image wasn’t lining up right but this one got it perfect first try really recommend Yidget and it’s free so why not.

Super easy to set up and get your screen de-cluttered quickly. The “-“ under the widget is 10x better than Yidget name most others go with, so I can’t really complain about that!

I’ve been using Yidget on my phone for a while now and I love it. Makes it so easy to arrange my icons the way I want them.

I only wish it also supported ipad. I’ve only found 2 apps that have transparent widgets for ipad, and the one I’m currently using stopped working correctly.

I’ve been using Yidget and absolutely love it for customizing my Home Screen! However after the latest iOS 14.5 update there are little “–“‘s under each widget so it doesn’t look as clean anymore. Hopefully the developers can fix it!

I think telcos app works well and I really like it. The only thing is that there is no way for it to automatically switch to dark mode. I would be nice if you could choose a dark wallpaper and a light wallpaper and they could switch when you turn dark mode on or off. Besides the Yidget is great.

They removed the ability to have an empty character so no text would be seen, now a “–“ character pops up when it’s empty. Keeps it minimal still, due to it blending with the background image, but the “–“ character throws it off a bit. Unnecessary.

Despite the picture set up which can, admittedly, feel a little tedious. I still simply cannot fathom nor have even found any other as simple, clean and compatibly than this one.

Yidget really lets you get around the limitations of icon placement in iOS! And be developer is super responsive too! I ran into a bug which I mentioned in a review, and the dev got back to me the next day and got the bug fixed right away!

A small white line at the bottom of each widget has appeared after the most recent update. Please fix. Otherwise, I have loved using Yidget !
