I really like ViX. Has tons of good novelas for free. Lots of reviews are saying there’s too much ads but i don’t mind them they’re not too long and I understand there has to be ads for it to be free. The problem with ViX is that there’s no search bar to search for the novelas or movies you want to watch or are watching. You have to look through all the sections to find them instead of searching. Another problem you should be able to have a watch list where you add what show you are watching or want to watch, i’m currently watching a novela and would like to be able to get to it through a list, I know you’re able to do that with movies but with shows you are only able to add episodes to a watch list not the whole show itself. There is also a continue watch section where something you’ve started appears where you left off, my only problem with this is that when watching an episode to a show and you play it from continue watching you are not able to get to the next episode through there, you have to exit and find the show and play the next episode yourself, it would be better is the next episode played on its own. Also i’ve been having a problem that when you play something from the continue watching and the next time you get and ad it doesn’t continue from the place it’s supposed to after the ad it starts to continue from the place it left at when you started it from the continue watching.

I have never had such a horrible experience with an app. There’s not search bar on the mobile app. On the Apple TV app they have a search bar but when you search something, it only shows you random videos without the option to add it to your list( which isn’t a list just a recently played). And when search and click a video it only lets you play that episode and not search through the other episodes for the chosen show. I don’t even care about commercials. But my god there is no organization. For every show: Add an option to click on the show and be shown the episode available. Most other apps like Netflix have an “i” for information on the show which then sends you to the rest of the episodes.

If you make an account, allow the user to add shows to a list. The first thing people should see is the recently played shows/movies so they can pick back up.

On the mobile app, some movies show the total playing time which blocks the actual name of the movie. That’s not necessary. Just show it after they click on the movie. And I would suggest not automatically playing the movie. Allow them to see some information about the movie “description, play time, rating”

Playing episodes one after the other is not an option unless you continuously are watching. Pausing the episode and going back to the main menu causes this and have to go back to the episode guide to pick the next episode, once there takes forever to get further down the episode guide, search bar would be appreciated. Once I pick an episode it plays automatically and gives a couple seconds before it starts. Episodes do not save, I start watching on firetv and resume on my phone and have to go and search for the episode again and try to figure out where I left watching it.

There is a lot of commercials and I completely understand for them, but man they are excessive, for a free streaming app there shouldn’t be so much adds, in one add break there are from 5 to 7 adds, I start watching again from a break and in less than two minutes commercial break again or sometimes it can be less than a minute and back to commercials. On other free apps they have about three breaks in between with more to show/movie to watch. Again I get the ads, but i feel I watch more ads than the actual show I’m watching.

ViX is absolutely horrible! 9 times out of 10 it doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to I would be watching something & all of a sudden it’s stops! Saying it disconnected or something & when I try to get back to what I’m watching it goes back to the very beginning! It’s completely frustrating when I can’t watch something when I want to! This is seriously THE WORST stream app ever! Just because it’s a free streaming app doesn’t mean it’s should be crap! I debating on weather or not I want to even keep it because of it’s not going to work like it’s supposed why should o keep it and it’s taking up space on my phone! Absolutely disgraceful!

Absolutely love ViX and love all the content. You can’t find all the novelas listed here anywhere else, for free . For those reasons and more I love ViX. However, the bad parts about ViX is so irritating that sometimes I want to watch but thinking about all I have to do to find the series and episode I’m on is exhausting. There’s no search bar and you have to locate the series manually. But the worse part has to be that ViX doesn’t keep record of what you’ve watch so you have to scroll and guess of keep a record on you own of where you’re at . It’s so frustrating. I don’t even care about the ads that constantly glitch and keeps sending you back to the beginning of the series. Adding a search option and a continue watching option would make ViX complete.

I have recently updated ViX from Prende Tv and I can say I’m disappointed. I have this app in my Roku and my phone. I hate that since yesterday’s update ViX on the Roku keeps kicking me out. I’m watching a show and it just kicks me off and it’s so annoying that I have to go back in and scroll through all the on demand line up and start all over each and every time. I doesn’t have a serch bar and it doesn’t have the continue watching option which Prende Tv did have. Also it needs to be able to connect to AirPlay I’ve been trying to airplay to my LG smart tv and it just shows it loading and never does. Since ViX is not available on the LG smart Tv which is another disappointment. I think ViX needs a lot of work still to make it five stars. The line up is great but the streaming itself lacks so much. I believe that Prende Tv was better before it became this app.

It offers air play but it’s always having bugs, and don’t even talk about using ViX in Roku it crashes all the time!! It needs a lot of improvement, you guys just added more commercials than before but make no new adjustments to ViX !!!! It’s really annoying having to watch a tv show and having to scroll down to the episode where you left at because it never saves your progress, it also needs a search button. The platform has so much variety , I think that it has great potential but you guys need to work A LOT on it.

ViX is super glitchy. Orientation is off. When I try to flip it for wide screen sometimes it works others it shut off and I have to start all over.
This wouldn’t be that big of a problem but it takes forever to open. There is no search option. So if I’m watching a novela on demand I have to go to on demand then find novelas scroll through them all then fond mine. Again this takes forever. Then once all episodes load I scrolls through to find the one I’m on. You need a drop down menu here. Then I select Ku episode. Sometimes it remembers where I left off others not. Then horizontal sometimes doesn’t work and Im back at zero again and must start over. Please work on search options and drop down menus. Also my lom had fire tablet and it doesn’t have ViX on that tablet. Dry frustrating.

I never write reviews but I am taking the time now because I want to give my constructive criticism. ViX is a great concept and I see potential. But at this point I am frustrated with all the little bugs, it crashes while on Apple AirPlay and closes on its own, it also closes when moving into a new episode and it will not even keep track of where I left off everytime I close it or after it crashes. The “continue” feature doesn’t work properly, it doesn’t update. I am hooked on a show and love it while it’s playing but then it takes me back to scenes I already watched after commercials and a “search” feature would be great. I hope with every update these things get fixed. Because I really want to see my novelas 😉

Best app for Spanish channels & on demand telenovela viewing. Commercials for on demand r sometimes 5 minutes apart but short in some cases. Constant commercials breaks & you will see the same 3 commercials 3 times during one commercial break. Does not keep your place if you r not able to watch the entire episode. On demand viewing starts with lengthy commercial break. If you try fast forward to the correct spot where you left off, you will get another commercial break every time you stop as you search for the right location where you stopped viewing video. You can spend 10 minutes just trying to find the point where you left off and watching commercials. This is frustrating and disappointing

I really like ViX (I view it on my Roku TV and Ipad) but it’s very difficult to see what content is actually available. For instance, on the “on demand” tab and when you click on teleovelas you will not see all there is available. As you scroll on “most viewed telenovelas” after a few scrolls you see a different telenovela listed that does not correspond to the image on the screen. One prime example is the telenovela “Amorcito Corazón” that is nowhere to be seen on ViX but that you can see it if you click on another telenovela and seek similar programs. A search button and a better cataloging of the programs is much needed and especially once we get a paying tier.

I absolutely love the content ViX has to offer! I just downloaded it a few days ago and I’ve even told friends and family that have never heard of it to download it, if only for the nostalgia. I don’t mind the countless commercials, typically between 6-8 and at least 30 seconds long, what I can’t stand is that after watching an episode, it won’t automatically play the next. You have to go back to the on demand page, scroll down to the novela you’re watching, then scroll down to the next episode. Some of these novelas have 60-70 episodes, it’ll be pretty irritating at that point to have to scroll through so many episodes just to watch the next. That feature definitely needs to be fixed!

On firestick- freezes after taking so long to scroll down to episode 400 of a series and starts all over. Pleeeease add a shortcut maybe add pages for series instead of having to scroll down through hundreds of episodes… On every other platform it makes me watch ads, yes ads are normal but it jumps you back to 5 minutes from where you last stopped and makes you watch the ads all over again. Happens every single time. Doesn’t record episodes as watched or if you happen to not finish the episode and plan to rewatch from where you left off you better have plenty of time to watch all the ads over again. Wouldn’t mind paying for an app that actually worked as intended

Honestly ViX is super cool. I like the fact that I don’t have to sign up for anything. There seems to be tons of variety but what sold me was the fact they had Candido Perez on! I remember being like 4 or 5 and watching this show on tv with my little brother because my mom wanted to make sure we would not “lose” our ability to be fluent in Spanish. It brings back amazing memories from my childhood and the ads are not that long. Also, the fact that I can watch the Euro and certain games from Liga MX makes it all that much better! It’s great! Please add more “old school” shows!

I’m rating ViX a 5-Star because it has many novelas I love.. It’s so hard to find the old novelas which I grew up with.. there are still so many more they should add, like “Locura de Amor” “Agujetas de Color de Rosa” “Preciosa”!!

ViX I wish it was much easier to use. I can’t add the title to my list, it only adds the episode. On the phone, if I stop it midway, it won’t go back to where I stopped or if it does, once it goes to the ads it will repeat from where I started viewing. Another thing, ViX doesn’t link from the phone app to the TV app.

Honestly, I love the content but ViX is horrible. It glitches so much and kicks me out. Then when I go back to my episode it takes me somewhere else like it has another episode playing. At times literally takes me 5 minutes to get to where I was at. I got so annoyed with it on my television that I downloaded ViX on my phone thought it would solve my problems. Wrong! I couldn’t watch the episode I wanted because it didn’t even show up. My understanding is I had to watch the series from the beginning to get to the episode I wanted. That is ridiculous! Plus, quality is not great. Please fix this the streaming app has all the content to be great but tech issues get in the way for me to love this.

Prende TV is good but needs improvements. There are way too many ads . I know the ads keep ViX free but wow this is too much . I get the SAME ads over and over it’s very annoying . Every five minutes. No other free apps show this many ads, it makes watching shows unpleasant. Also it never keeps track of where I left off , it crashes and after playing the add it takes me back almost to the beginning of the episode . It would be nice if I could add the actual show to my watchlist , instead it adds only an episode so I need to browse for the show to find where I left off . If these things could get fixed ViX would be great .

To be free this is best app ever. They have tons, literally tons of movies, novelas and tv shows. The issues:
- Doesn’t have a search bar
- it doesn’t keep record of the program you are watching, you have to go through the different sections and look for your tv show.
- it doesn’t register the episode you are on, you have to remember, otherwise you are going to skip episodes or start playing something you already watched.
So far, those are annoying issues I’ve found. Other than that it’s an excellent option for free tv.

There’s way too many ads and they come on too frequently like every 5 minutes. And the worse part is that there’s 5-8 ads per break which is too much and some of them are a minute long. I got excited to get ViX but the ads make it too difficult too watch and annoying. A few every once in a while would be ok since it’s a free app, but a bunch of them every few minutes is ridiculous so I’m getting rid of it. Also, another inconvenience is that I was almost done watching an episode and it didn’t save my progress when I went back to finish it. And of course you have to sit through a bunch of ads to get to the spot you were in. Oh and there’s no way to search for a specific title either. Not worth it.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a good app but still needs a lot of work, i wish the continue watching would actually work, i watched 8 commercials and my series was a little ahead so i pressed the 30 sec rewind button and it made me watched another 8 commercials, i wish they were lighter on those. It crashes constantly and when i go back to find the episode that i was in it doesn’t even show me a progress bar..
Now i understand that it needs to have ads in order to keep it free, i’m not saying get rid of them, i’m saying be lighter on those, every single time i have to rewind or fast forward i have to watch a whole bunch of commercials. Also add a search button!!

Lots of options to choose from shows to movies and very easy to manage. App has a lot of potential!

will this be available on streaming devices besides mobile?! 😄

I came for ViX to watch novelas but there isn’t really a lot of novelas. Only a few. ViX could be better if it had more novelas in store but there’s more tv series than novelas itself. I’m very disappointed right now.

Airplay works fine for on demand. Airplay on live channels causes a crash loop.
