Content is always great,but...

AmericanCinematographerMag is awful. It’s clunky, slow and thus difficult to navigate, and crashes almost every time I try to open an issue. It’s not optimized for ios12 and wasn’t updated for iPhone X screens. My subscription has to be restored every time I open AmericanCinematographerMag . I haven’t gotten much use of my subscription because AmericanCinematographerMag is so difficult to use . I will not be renewing if AmericanCinematographerMag isn’t updated soon.

Easy to navigate, quick to load- Nice app

I was able to easily navigate AmericanCinematographerMag , and quickly load the mag I wanted to read. I like the download option for offline reading.

Love app

Loaded smoothly and clear images and content.

Great magazine

I would love to give this five stars but the magazines need to be updated for retina displays. Also the addition of bookmarks would be welcomed.

Great content...now fix the app

It’s a shame. Content is great but AmericanCinematographerMag is close to unusable. Constantly crashes.

Ugh

Great mag. Horrible app.

VASTLY IMPROVED

Or I'm assuming it is. Because as a subscriber to Cinematographer, I can now download my digital editions in a snap, at no extra charge, and read them on my iPad, instead of off the screen of my MacBook. I don't seem to be experiencing any of the problems of the people who reviewed the earlier release, before the update. The images look crisp, the text is easy to read and the interface is about an 8 out of 10. So I'm loving it.

Magazine awesome, app needs work

The magazine itself is awesome! But AmericanCinematographerMag needs work. On both retina and non retina iPad the fonts are pixilated (noticed this on my friends iPad). Also when I subscribed it bugged out and I can't download the recent release. All the past months are available fore to buy but september is blank. I wanted to read the day I bought but I'm still waiting for it to get fixed. Payed $30 and can't read my subscription yet. It's very annoying.

Hope they fix AmericanCinematographerMag soon or I definitely won't be renewing.

Amazing Mag, Terrible App

Excited to see the mag come to the iPhone iPad. I'm an assistant camera and have been working in the business for 5 years. But very displeased with the way the magazine is handled. Each page should fit to the screen with no zooming to read text and illustrations still visible, much like Wired Mag. I know it's new so I'm giving them time. However, if they don't fix I will be calling the distributor to turn it into a hard magazine edition. Sorry, just terribly executed on ASC's part!

App does not work

This is a total rip off. AmericanCinematographerMag is lousy: it takes between 10 and 20 seconds to load a page, you always get this stupid banner you can't get rid off, when you're losing wifi connection you are loosing the issue you are currently reading... But the worse was that I was charged twice for the same subscription. And the developer is totally unresponsive. I should have read what the reviews said so I would not have waisted twice $30.

Good but can be great

The magazine content wise is great for anyone who is interested in shooting and directing films. However I think they cold make the experience great if they add retina display support, a way to bookmark the pages and have a few links to video in every issue. This could be interviews or short examples of the scenes that the cinematographer talks about.

Great Magazine... But app...

Magazine content and layout are great! But app have some glitches. Read button doesn't show on offline mode, on downloaded issues. I would love if I could read it while I'm commuting whit not Internet connection on my iPad!

By

Awful app

The magazine itself is fantastic. One of the best. Unfortunately it's completely spoiled by probably the worst magazine app I've ever used. It doesn't load issues properly, crashes a lot, looks ugly, loads really slowly, doesn't remember what page you were on and never remembers your login.

Excited for this, but...

I've been waiting for this magazine to show up for ipad. I read it faster than usual, however... Even non-retina displays have really pixilated fonts.

Spend $30 get nothing

I read this magazine religiously. I love the print version, but knowing that it digital on the iPad. I can bring multiple copy's with half the weight. So I subscribe to it. And can't even read a full copy says needs password. If I could give it zero stars I would. Very disappointed.

Completely broken

AmericanCinematographerMag won't even let me in anymore. Before they updated it downloads would never finish it at least I could still read the issues. The issues are also very low res. complete waste of money.

By

DoP

The used to be great tablet magazine, now AmericanCinematographerMag constantly freezes and crashes, unusable. Issues take forever to load even when downloaded. It is constantly loading something in the background slowing everyhting down.

Bad App

The magazine itself is great, but AmericanCinematographerMag is not working properly. I´ve been subscribed for two months now and each time I want to download a new magazine I just can´t or the cover doesn´t show on the cover browser. Fix AmericanCinematographerMag please!!! it´s very annoying!

Bad App

Great Magazine, horrible app. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. Wasted 30 bucks on a broken app. Please fix ASAP. Many pages don't load correctly leaving gray area where text should be. Interface is archaic and overall not impressed with AmericanCinematographerMag . I do not recommend this version to anyone for download.

Rework it!

Someone serious needs to come in and rework the entire app. It could be great if there were some added features for the digital issues like btw videos or a photo gallery of some sort. It could be one of the coolest film magazines on the iPad or iPhone.
