Can’t use since April

**UPDATE - Aug 27th** I now have the latest app version 1.18.0 and still the same problem. I’m deleting AICalorieCounter and sadly losing my data.

• Update - May 17th: No change, same issues. Been using the Bearable app instead.

• Update - April 19th: No change, same problem. App is up to date, version 1.17.1 and your App page's Version History shows that is the most recent update. Been useful and works great. Today, however, I noticed a bug. AICalorieCounter loads but if I try to log something, AICalorieCounter crashes. It happens every time and tapping anywhere on the screen. It won’t let me do anything.

Love it BUT

I purchased the plus version and was able to customize to my needs. The only issue is the meal times and reminders, they don’t work.

If I put meal times it I should be reminded to eat. I also should be reminded to add my entry so I don’t forget. I set them all up and made sure I can get notifications, but I don’t. So basically the notifications should be an alarm. It would be a 5 star if it was working.

I would also love if they could do measurement tracking along size weight. Also would be nice if the water amounts more customizable.

It’s okay

I enjoy AICalorieCounter but I’ve noticed that not much has happened with it compared to a year ago aside from bug fixes. There used to be a time stamp now it’s no longer available I’m not sure why but I really enjoyed that feature. There’s still no ability to move the photo capture to the top of the list when making an entry instead of scrolling down. I like how detailed you can get or how few details you can add. I wish that there was an option to add measurements and track that way for people who don’t tend to weigh themselves but I appreciate that the feature can be hidden away as well. Overall it’s a decent app for mindful food tracking. Extremely reasonable in price compared to subscription models.

Helpful, Easy to Use

Love Nutrilio! I’ve been using Daylio for years to track my mood and other health related activities so when Nutrilio was available I subscribed immediately.

I love being able to track what I eat with Nutrilio. It’s simple, tap on and icon to add 1-meat, tap twice on veggies to add 2-veggies etc. Adding new food items to track is easy as well. When I type “oatmeal” Nutrilio finds an icon to represent oatmeal. With some less common foods I might want a different icon and this is one area where Nutrilio falls short. In Daylio there’s thousands of icons for subscribers but not so with Nutrilio. Additionally, Daylio offers the ability to add a photo to each log and I would like a similar feature with Nutrilio for each food entry. This would help me understand if I’m suffering from bloating after eating granola for example, which granola brand is to blame.

Other than those two features, Nutrilio is perfect. Download and subscribe without hesitation. You’ll be glad you did.

I like it, but have some notes

1. Please add time stamps to drink log! This is the most useful feature in the water app I use and would love to keep all my food/drink info in Nutrlio, but it’s hard to remember if I’ve logged everything correctly if I can’t tell when I added it. It also helps to see if I’ve been hydrating steadily throughout the day or chugging to meet a goal.
2. Really hoping for some future connection to / integration with Daylio (which is fantastic, btw)

I can’t tracking symptoms along with food

First of all: I love AICalorieCounter for flexibility and customization, I can track everything and however I want to. I tend to track less stuff about food and more about physical activity & overall health.
With that being said, I don’t see any data that can connect my food with symptoms, even if I have plenty of both tracked during last days, my Symptoms -> details -> most influential tags are not showing any Health/Food related data.

Great… when it works

I love this developer’s other app, Daylio, so I downloaded app to track what I eat and I how I feel after meals. I signed up for the free trial because the free version very bare bones. They took $32 from my account to pay for an entire year of service and less than a week later I can no longer use AICalorieCounter because it doesn’t respond to any touch. Sometimes I can get it to click on one (1) button, it changes the screen, and then stops responding to touch. This is the second day I haven’t been able to log anything in AICalorieCounter. I loved the insight I received for the first week of using AICalorieCounter but now it’s just wasted storage space.

I opened it tonight, and it worked. Luckily you can back date entries.

Pretty cool! Few suggestions

Loving AICalorieCounter . It is fun to click on everything you ate for the day. I love all the customizations you can do. I feel it’s missing a few things. I would like to add my weight as 130.6 instead of just a whole number. I have their other app (daylio) and love the stats view. I wish AICalorieCounter had the year in pixels view so I can see all my workouts for the year and easily. I only had AICalorieCounter for a few weeks so I wonder if that shows once there is more data but I don’t think so? I would love to add my own CUSTOM SCALE!! you can add a food group and note but not a custom scale. I feel it’s missing a few groups such as “fruits” and “vegetables” you can add the yourself but it would be easier if they already offered it as its own group. Last request is to have a PDF printable version instead of just the cvs file. I would like to print out my stats at the end of the year. Oh wait one more..I want to add a picture to each entry! Maybe my measurements too instead of just weight. I do love AICalorieCounter and I know they will continue to improve it just like they do with daylio. Thanks for making a fun app!

Well Designed

I have been using AICalorieCounter for a few days now and have been really enjoying it. I REALLY appreciate how well designed it is. I am the type of person to not use an app even if it has all the functionality but is ugly and poorly laid out. I also love how customizable it is, there are so many icon options and the ability to request anything that’s missing.

I am using AICalorieCounter to track food and symptoms as I navigate migraine triggers. There are also a few different ways to journal within each meal time, whether you want to note specific ingredients or how you were feeling before or after a meal, etc.

So long as you aren’t needing calorie or macro counts, AICalorieCounter will serve you well in food, symptom, activity and mood tracking among many other things!

Thank you developers, great job!

Great App, but some Ideas

Love your app! Have a few ideas though.

First, exercise should get its own card, similarly to how a snack does. My exercise doesn’t always align with meals and I don’t consider exercise to be a snack.

Second, it would be great if you could save a few favorite cards so you remember the options (for example, if I go to the same coffee shop every morning and get the same exact order, I should be able to select that as a favorite and it inputs the same options each time).

Lastly, would be great if the habit streaks like alcohol consumption let you count streaks by “days per week”, rather than times per week.

Anywho, love your app and keep up the great work!

Great update — ideas

The update to expand all entries for readability at a glance is great and very much appreciated.

It is a bit visually crowded, though. I would love to be able tap the header of a section and have all time entries roll up into one, and tap again to expand. For example, I don’t need to see every time I logged a pill or when an exercise was. I’d like that to be collapsible so I can see totals. A walk at 8am plus a walk at 2pm can roll up into a single entry of walk 2x at a tap.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I have had experience in the past losing weight with apps like MyFitnessPal. I found that I would get super obsessive about calories to the point where it might have been good for my physical health, but my mental health took a nosedive.

I wanted an app where I could still meticulously track, but I could track things that weren’t grams and calories and fat content and whatever else. Then I found AICalorieCounter!

I love that I can have goals around things like just getting delivery less often or eating less fast food. It can help me setup healthy lifestyle goals vs counting calories that will be a crutch forever. AICalorieCounter is also very cute and colorful - a real change from some of the other “all business” looking fitness apps. Very enjoyable - became a lifetime member!

A couple (super minor) future features that could be nice:

It’d be awesome if I could change the meals that matter to me. I like the fasting option, but I wish I could just hide “breakfast” as a category. I don’t really fast, I just am too lazy to eat breakfast haha

More precision weight than whole numbers could be nice too. I foresee quite a few weeks where I make progress but <1lb and so I won’t be able to visualize that progress for a while.

Integration with other health apps could be nice for auto logging things like exercise or weight.

This app is awesome 👏

AICalorieCounter is a really good way To track what you eat in a day to day basis, but you do have to be committed. I do recommend turning on notifications (mainly silent) because they remind you. When you add to it there are icons for almost every food, you can add a side note, and there are categories that you can customize to your standards and stuff. Its great because lets say you are wondering, "oh what did i eat last Tuesday?" The. You could check your tracker so.... 🥁 Nutrilio is an awesome app! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great app! Just need

AICalorieCounter is pretty good, clean and intuitive! Have a food database and that’s a plus because I don’t have to put the food information myself which is great because people know how and what to eat but doesn’t know the whole food information LoL!

Honestly just need a better app icon. AICalorieCounter is great and the icon is so simple and ugly. Sorry!

Also maybe in the future more informative Widgets! Thanks a lot and keep the good work! If I could pay a full lifetime subscription I would.

Fantastic, simplifies food tracking

AICalorieCounter is an excellent food tracker. It’s intuitive and easy to use. It takes me a couple seconds per meal entry to document. It reminds me a lot of the exchange system originally developed for diabetes, which I’m a fan of. It even has some tools built in for intermittent fasting. AICalorieCounter itself is also very cute. There is quite a bit of customization. You can specific foods or drinks if you want to get more detailed in your tracking, and there is a good selection of icons to go with it.

Overall it’s a great app! The free version is awesome but I went ahead and got the Plus subscription to support the developers. They do a great job!

Couple of suggestions
- A place to put the time of the meal on the entry
- A way to make a custom measure to track (like hunger level) with the ability to create the scales
- Ability to customize the writing prompts

Intuitive and fun

Long time user of Daylio and love this developer’s work. AICalorieCounter is a gem, only thing is I wish it had more fine tuned options for fasting, like “every 1st of the month,” or “every Wednesday from midnight to 4pm.” This would be useful imo. The fasting in AICalorieCounter is geared towards dieting and nothing wrong with that but most of the people in my world fast for religious reasons and the schedule looks a bit different than the options provided here.

That’s my only complaint! Other than that AICalorieCounter is really fun. I think I have to tone simplify the data collection a bit because I get a little too obsessive about it and start to fall off but that’s my bad.

Apple health connection

So I've had several of this companies apps for a very long time now and they're phenomenal but I've been wondering for a while now on why they won't add a connection to my apple health? It's kinda confusing coz almost every health app these days allows connection to multiple health app, so that's my only compliant with AICalorieCounter, so if any devs are reading this please consider adding this connection coz I do believe it would really help your app hold on to users, thank you and this is a truly beautiful and amazing app and I encourage everyone to give it a try despite its inability to connect to the apple health app and maybe just maybe they will take this advice and consider it in the future

Finally!

Finally a food tracker that focuses on behavior behind weight gain rather than on the inexact science of calories. I’ve tracked calories on and off for years and I no longer need to know how many calories are in a burger to know that it’s not a healthy choice. With Nutrilio, I log that I ate a burger but then also flag it as junk food, indicate how much I ate, how I felt, etc. There’s even a place to log symptoms so I can mark any consequential gastrointestinal issues. You can add a customized tracker, which I’ve done so I can discover what causes my rosacea flare-ups. With the stats they provide (weekly, 30 days and 90 days), I can easily see how often I’m eating sweets, junk food, etc. so I can work on my weaknesses.

I love the concept of AICalorieCounter and its appealing user interface.

Family Sharing fixed!

UPDATE: The developer did a great job responding and fixing the problem. I love AICalorieCounter overall as it’s super easy to use. after using it a couple weeks and am very excited to try out all the features. We can’t all control our customer service all the time so I’m glad the developer responded directly. Thanks!

AICalorieCounter states that family members can share in-app purchases but when one of my family members in my family sharing plan purchased the lifetime membership it didn’t carry over to anyone else. Even the customer service said that family sharing of a lifetime membership is allowed but they simply through their hands up and said it’s Apple’s fault when it didn’t work. All of my other family sharing purchases work just no this one. Customer service was disappointing.

Developers have a track record of highly effective apps

Trying this based on my many years of experience with their mood tracking app, Daylio. I’m hoping it will be as simple, basic, and useful as that app.

In my experience, the developers have been able to hit the sweet spot in terms of simplicity of entries yielding valuable and actionable output.

Trying on a monthly basis; if it works out, will try a year. Based on my experience with Daylio, it wouldn’t surprise me if I bought a lifetime subscription.
