Sure, pay *$60* a year if you like. Greed is good. The app is good. But the developers are making 💵 hand over fist. There’s not a lot to this app. What there is is good, but not $5/month good.
🤔 Update/response to dev:
At $60 per year (or $600 every decade), this app is in the highest tier of AppStore subscription process. For that amount of money, users should expect some amazing features. EvenMind is dead simple. Premium ($60) connects with Apple health analytics, which is automated, and not difficult to implement. There are no other premium features of significance.
I did not need clarification on your pricing, it is very apparent. The line about paying users supporting free users is a dodge. At scale, the cost to the dev per user is near-zero. The developers are making *astounding* profit from this app. Under "Values" on their support page they should include that they believe that greed is good. Of course there should be no law against a cash grab, but it deserves a calling out. Let's keep it 💯 real.
Here is exactly how to fairly price an app containing analytics from Apple Health: "AutoSleep". The dev of this highly-rated, elegant sleep-tracking app asks a small one-time charge (with no recurring subscription).
How the heck can they do this? No $60 per year!! An smazing lack of...greed.

i have been using this app for several months. i found it was the only app that was simple but tracked my mood/energy, but allowing me a space to write about it. i loved it. i purchased the lifetime awhile back, way cheaper than what is being asked of users now. i really appreciated being able to buy it once and not stress about a subscription or miss out on features if i ever couldn’t afford to keep it. i’m at that point now, unfortunately.
not only did this new update change the pricing, making to where i’ll switch now — even if i wasn’t i lost all of my data with this update. all of my notes on how i felt and the data attached is gone. not sure where.
just really disappointed. this was a go-to, but really enjoyed what they did for awhile.
it’s a shame because i was excited for the UI changes not that there was really anything bad about the previous layout.

This app is effectively useless without a subscription now. I started using this app almost a year ago, and I understand that the developers need to monetize it in order to earn money. However, basic features such as viewing a timeline of logged moods is now locked behind a monthly subscription.
The interface is great, and it’s a really nice app, but I don’t want to pay monthly for basic features. I wouldn’t mind paying for a perpetual license, or an annual subscription even, but the current monthly rate is steep for what it does.
