Why so many PromptSmart apps?

So I started with with their PromptSmart Pro and it worked a couple of time before VoiceTrack stopped working completely. Now I notice there’s a PromptSmart+, PromptSmart Gold...I suspect this company gets so many bad reviews, they end up having to release another version each time. I refuse to pay for this again.
Buyer beware, this is a sham company. With so many different versions of this app, all with in-app subscriptions. There is a better app in the store, and while it might not have half-baked voice recognition technology, at least it works with a remote without yet expecting an additional purchase just to use it. You want to use a remote with PromptSmart? You’ll end up paying on top of what you already paid when you bought the app. What a rip-off.
Half a good idea

This app is half baked. The idea behind the app is spot on. Yet the application is limited because they "took it out of the oven before it was finished cooking". Using an external mictophone causes the voice scrolling to freeze. If you are simply trying to video from 4 feet, this might not be an issue for you. But When you are further way and need to sound quality of a microphone, this app is rendered useless. The developers have not replied to any of my requests for a workaround or an update to this issue.
Duplicates the Original

For something you have to pay for, this is not worth the money. If I am paying for something, I expect it to work as it is designed to work. I uploaded my original document to Google Drive. Then I uploaded from Google Drive to Prompt Smart Pro. Once it was uploaded, I checked the document and it had duplicated large sections of the text four to six different times. Not a program that I want when I am paying good money for it.
