AdGuard VPN – Unlimited & Fast Reviews

This is absolutely the best VPN service I have ever used. It's really hard to find a VPN service that cares about the Mac enough to consistently add new features and listens to their users ... as well as fully supporting the M1 architecture (it's been a year now and companies like ExpressVPN are still stuck on Intel).

AdGuard VPN also has split-tunnelilng now, which big names like ExpressVPN and NordVPN don't even have for their Mac versions, but do on their WIndows versions, which is infuriating. Split-tunelling allows you to add apps that you DON'T want to have VPN so you can have full speed in those apps. For instance, I leave the VPN off for gaming and my download accelerator, but leave it on for web browsing and encryped chat apps.

On top of that, the VPN is the same speed as NordVPN, which is thought of to be the fastest VPN around. I consistently get over 700 Mbps on my Gigbait line. It's honestly amazing.

I also use the AdGuard ad blocker which I highly recommend. It is easily the fastest and most efficent ad blocker I've ever used.

Support is also also quick and helpful and has always helped me with issues. I've tried all the top VPN services and AdGuard will be my new home. I highly recommend this service.

It pains me to give AdGuardVPN such a low review because I know, given some the time, these adGuard devs will knock this out of the park just like they did with their other products! So long as Apple can mind their own and not pull any of their weird stuff.

However, it’s just not quite there in its current state. And I’d be very hard pressed to pay for the premium at this point in time. It seemed to be rolling pretty well but something was causing it to frequently get disconnected then connect again and so on and so forth. Which may have been causing the other issue of when it was able to get connected it was at extremely slow speeds and and sometimes unloaded and I had to get rid of it for now.!

But I will be waiting on to come back and change this review once it’s where we expect it to be, in due time! Because as I mentioned, AdGuardVPN itself it’s looks very good!! I think it’s even cleaner looking than the original app(s). Which are vanity amazing! . The difference imo is the new face of AdGuardVPN . The ninja very cool footing backgtound . All I can say is I can’t wait to be back when she’s really ready to rock

This disconnects to such an extreme, saying the phrase “a lot” doesn’t do it justice. It can really slow your phone down. I question the reviews here, I’m not sure Apple would allow fake reviews but I’ve used this on two phones and my iPad and they all experience the same thing. I don’t experience what these reviews are saying, so these reviews to me are questionable. iMessage doesn’t work properly, when switching from WiFi to LTE, messages won’t come through until you either turn on and off airplane mode or connect to WiFi again. Same thing with emails, they don’t come through when switching, or sometimes in general, WiFi or not. FaceTime calls are garbage when on this vpn yet not with others, so it’s just this vpn.

The good: it works with your Adguard Pro..but why wouldn’t they just add what Adguard does on their VPN? So many VPNs have ad blocking features and many other things, paying twice seems like a cash grab. There’s times where it does work though, and you see it’s potential, so that’s that. Hope it improves, but I wouldn’t spend money on a yearly subscription just yet.

The concept behind AdGuard is great. Content blocker, DNS, VPN.

I will write this review and give an honest review. My review is also based on some what top tier internet speeds. So, I will get that out of the way. With the VPN connected and DNS-over-HTTPS I experience no speed issues what so ever on WiFi. Of course, mobile it’s not as smooth depending on location but that’s normal.

Using the general, privacy, and security content blocks along with the DNS, and VPN I’m able to easily navigate through Safari without issue and apps like Reddit. More personal apps like banking I have to turn off the dns which is quick and easy to do.

If you need a per device privacy solution this is it. All three solutions made simple.

Please note browser fingerprinting does skew the whole “privacy” concept. So do some research and see how it applies to Safari and iOS.

With that said I do have to point out that AdGuard is a closed source company. Like most VPN providers. Though, there is no reason not to truth them. However, the idea of trusting one company to safe guard all of your privacy is always a tough pill to swallow. Though, AdGuard does pass all of the tests and says the right things. They really do offer the perfect solution.

I’m happy to say I’ve experienced significantly less distractions and annoyances online thanks to these two fantastic apps blocking ads and shielding my activity from trackers, helping to keep my online activities private from those who hope to leverage the data and exploit my humanity because they are not aware of the oneness of us all, and the true interconnectivity we all share and possess, integrity is recognizing our integration and working with it. love

I’m new to Setapp, but my first impression is impressive & when you don’t think it’s possible to go ‘above and beyond’, they out-do themselves with this VPN in their suite. To go to the Setapp to get setup it’s like going to a dating site for a date, simple enough right? After being setup with ‘Setapp’ and ‘AdGuard’, it’s like their first match on the dating site is becoming my wife. I went to them for a specific reason, and they surpassed my expectation right out the gate! Thanks!

(4 stars is simply because I haven’t been on AdGuardVPN for more that 30 minutes, and I don’t see anything that shouldn’t merit 5 stars, but when I get acclimated to things I will come back to confirm, deny, edit or repost a corrected rating. Too early to be sure, but I’m buying the ring)

I barely had the opportunity to click through half of the configuration settings, and I get a pop-up to rate AdGuardVPN /service. That really annoys me, but what's worse is that my ONLY choices were to rate AdGuardVPN (which I didn't feel like doing yet, I didn't have enough experience with it), OR report a problem, which took me out of AdGuardVPN .

I didn't want to report a problem, and I didn't want to rate AdGuardVPN . But you forced me to do something out of AdGuardVPN . So 1 star, blanket policy. Do better, stop freaking bugging you users to make crappy ratings.

If this were a free period, I'm probably just stop using AdGuardVPN , and you'd lose a sale. As it is, I paid for a year, so you having for that long. But you're starting with a negative score already, before I consider renewing next year.

I’ve tried all the major VPNs you’ve heard of. None of them were bad, but…there’s just certain sites that most VPNs gat blocked by. Meaning the page won’t load, or at least you can’t log in. This is the ONLY VPN I’ve tried(out of a dozen) that I’ve had ZERO problems wit on ANY site. See their page on how they achieve this, and how their VPN works differently than the others out there!

Any company that says they don’t track you across the internet and allows you to hide your ip from trackers is great as long as they aren’t lying. I would hope that a product that is paid for actually provides the service they offer. Anyway great app and easy to use.

With a ton of back door access into a lot of VPN including hidden apps and downloaded programs into my email along with many other security issues that I have made my device send malware to anyone that access my device. Is that illegal ?

Ad guard is great for Safari. So many ads literally gone, VPN - I don’t need one for home, but an unsecured “Starbucks” network and just to play it safe you can’t go wrong. A lot of advanced options I have to learn, but it’s just a safe feeling even if you don’t need it.

I’ve had AdGuard Pro for years and have always had to choose between blocking ads and using a VPN, but now I don’t have to! This was so easy to set up, and my data speeds are completely unaffected on both WiFi and 5G.

Its a cheap VPN that doesn’t sacrifice quality. Even gives good protection to those without a subscription. Was using the free version for about a week and happily bought a yearly subscription, 100% worth it IMO.

I really would love to give higher stars but I just recently purchased the AdGuard VPN and configured everything properly and even tested it leaving everything as is and recommended but recently been having every server listed crash on numerous occasions but other than that pretty easy and simple and enjoy when it does work

I like AdGuardVPN a lot and it does help but my problem is ever since I got AdGuardVPN Ive not been connecting to wifi or data correctly I made sure my wifi is trusted on AdGuardVPN but I still can’t connect and as safe as this makes me think I am I rather be able to connect to wifi then have protection I may or may not need

Fantastic service. For those saying it doesn’t block ads. It indeed does, but you first have to change your DNS settings within AdGuardVPN and point them towards Adguard. Great product! 👍

I love all the AdGuard stuff including the Adblock just makes sense I should get some type of deal I would love to have free premium for the AdGuard VPN I suggested AdGuardVPN to all if yo friends and AdGuardVPN is so helpful with daily situations Thank You!!!

This has to be the best VPN service at this moment. I am subscribed to more expensive VPNs but always had issues. Adguard VPN flawlessly works on all my platforms and the performance is great. I just hope it will remain this good.

AdGuardVPN is asking me to rate it before I have even used it but the free version worked well only minor flaws will let you know how this one is in the future

Servers I tried worked well (US, CA, JP, TW).
A function to add favorite servers would be nice!
Hopefully CN server will be added in the future.
It’ll be awesome if on demand mode is implemented too, but that’s probably more useful on desktop/browser extension.

I often have to restart my phone or reset network for it to connect. In the evening it’s sometimes downright horribly slow. Sometimes I have to turn off the VPN and let it load something and then connect which defeats the entire point.

Also lacks very basic features which is probably why it’s so slow in the evening as it won’t switch locations. It just stays on the one you pick no matter how bad it is.
