Game does horrible explaining and teaching you actions. I have no idea how to use the caravan unit on my own cities and the devs “guide” doesn’t explain anything well. The economy of the game is horrendous and messy. AI will cancel any relations randomly and you can’t get a peace treaty after. It definitely seems like AI don’t have gold use, research, or even building times as they continuously spew units and cities nonstop. The zone of control is a stupid idea considering if you’re at war there shouldn’t be a limit to where you can move on enemy land. Selling buildings when you can’t afford them is also stupid considering you need almost all your cities constantly producing coinage just to stay afloat which causes you to fall behind military wise. Game is a waste of time

I came to this game hoping for a fun recreation of Civ 2. I will say that the developers did recreate the Civ 2 experience very well - which makes sense because this game is based off FreeCiv.
But, unfortunately, I must leave a negative review. The UI and controls for this game are extremely clunky and basically make it so it’s not fun to play. They need to completely redesign the user interface keeping in mind that people are playing this on their phones. Also, I hate that it forces you to use landscape mode on your screen.
Anyway, all the buttons on the screen are way too small, and often times it’s even difficult to distinguish the UI from the game graphics itself.
Please put some serious effort into overhauling the UI and general user experience. This game has potential, but right now it’s a flop for me.

Dear developer: if two units are on the same square and they are attacked, it seems that the calculation uses the weakest unit to defend, then both units are usually lost. For example, an single archer attacked and defeated a catapult and healthy pikeman in forest. The notification said the catapult lost. There’s no reason the pikeman shouldn’t be used as the defender. Please look in to this possible bug, it seems pretty consistent, but doesn’t seem to effect cities. Also where is information describing trade routes? Thanks.
