I really want to love this game. It’s beautiful, and the basics are there. But it becomes very boring and repetitive very fast. There are no surprises, everything is very easy to get and the game is over very quickly. It’s a shame because the look of the game is so appealing. But there’s nothing to keep you coming back. Devs, why not add some legendary or mythical fish, for example? I’ve never enjoyed a game so much where I felt absolutely no desire whatsoever to spend money. I’m not dropping real money to buy some bunny ears for my character. Everything that’s possible to get, you get within minutes. And it’s a snooze after that. If you made the game more complex, with much more to gain, you’ll retain players. As it is, it won’t. If everything available in the game is easily attained within minutes it will lead to quick quits, which is such a shame for such a gorgeous and appealing game. Please, please add MUCH more content.

REALLY beautiful and relaxing title. Love the aesthetics like crazy. Glad to see all the extra stuff like pets, the sanctuary, etc. Love being able to go on foot at any time, but there is no real reason to other than to nab a random collectible. What about inland lagoons and ponds and that can only be accessed by foot?? What about making it worthwhile to actually explore these islands (that means you have to make the islands interesting)? Huge however, however: the core fishing mechanic is SO BORING AND SIMPLE. Catching a fish is a foregone conclusion. You desperately need a mechanic here. An expanding circle you have to tap at the right time, a golf-style slider you have to time right, the chance to scare a fish off if you approach too fast - ANYTHING. God forbid: different lures for different fish types (this is a no-brainer: think of all the currency tricks you can play on us with a lure catalog). The way it is now this game will never get above 3 stars because the core of the entire thing is far too brainless, simple, and boring and no amount of fluff you set up around it will change that. Flesh out the fishing mechanic! Elevate your game out of the nothing ftp crowd and make it something special!

Considering the easy graphics, basic controls and game play, this game will burn 90% of a full battery in 2 hours. this app is an excellent game with so much to do. The ads were a major problem. Every time I would come back from an island an ad would pop up during the loading screen causing the game to crash so I purchased remove ads and it is totally worth the 6.99. Anything that required an ad to be watched now gets bypassed, i.e double rewards, pet bones, pearls, coin chests and more. That was an awesome surprise. There’s plenty to do with fishing, upgrading your boats, tournaments, quests, challenges and more! The only complaint I have and maybe I’m just not far enough into the game is being to upgrade your fishing pole. Faster casting, longer lines. Maybe lures an option too. But this game itself is 5 stars but the fact I can only play about 2 hours due to the battery drain is why I gave it a 3! There must be something that can be done to help this. To the Devs….Thank you for such a gem of a game but please fix the battery drain and the heating up of the iPad. Thanks! Tight lines y’all!

First of all, this is the most fun fishing game I've played. The gameplay and music are very relaxing. I want to keep playing it, but there are some things that make it really hard to stay engaged.

The biggest problem is later game progression when fishing assistant cash is arbitrarily capped at around 100k when not actively playing. This makes it really hard to progress when further fishing assistant upgrades (that have no actual benefit because of the cap) start costing 3-4 times that cap and when the next island costs almost 80 times the cap. Fish rewards need to be increased too. Even if I filled all my slots with rare fish (next to impossible; 8 slots for me right now) I'd still only get about 25k, so there's no point in playing the game for any extended length of time. I currently only open the game for a couple seconds a few times a day to get the inactive cash and upgrade assistants if I have enough cash.

This is a really good game and helps to pass the time. However, some things such as companions (pets) and hats cost tons of pearls, which are basically very hard to get and you need to complete tasks to get them. And even so, not all tasks reward you with pearls, and if they do, at most it’s probably about 15 pearls. I still do appreciate that they have pets and hats, but if it were cheaper I’d love that. Even if you can get pets from chests on islands, it’s very hard and you probably have a better chance of getting 10,000 coins. But I love the mini facts it gives! I’ve never seen a game that both entertains and teaches you! Great job, overall. I wish I could give this a 4.5! Another side note, almost every time I come back from an expedition, it gives me a 30 second ad. And that’s really annoying!

Love the base idea for the game. Chill gameplay with nice and relaxing music. The issue is most of my enjoyment from the game was within the first 30 minutes and then dropped off. I’ve still come back to it from time to time but just becomes very difficult/slow to make gold and progress through the game. Additionally, relaxing does not have to equal boring and this game becomes that after a short amount of time.

Few ideas for improvement:
It would be great if after discovering a new species you would have a small chance of it showing up at your home island. Right now you’re able to swim and even cast your line at home, but there’s no fish there so it’s a useless feature.
Don’t put a cap on the money fishing helpers can earn for you. It makes upgrading them pointless especially given how expensive they are.
Do something with the houses in the island around the camp fire. There’s already one we can go into (store near sanctuary), so why not do something with the other buildings?
Would be nice to see some additionally animation details like maybe foot prints when you walk on the sand, ripples in the water, etc.
Lastly, make the pets less creepy 😅 why do the birds run around instead of fly…? Or the frog run instead of hop? Why do they have all have dead-looking eyes..? 😂

Anyway, still 4/5 because I enjoyed the game a lot when I first played it and it has a lot of potential to become a better game.

I think this is a great game, except for three things I noticed. First off, unless my math is off, I think the offline fishermen stop at some point because I have all 3 at level 40+ and they only made 125k over night, which by my math should be much higher (maybe I’m missing something though). The other two things I would think would make the game be a bit more rewarding and not so repetitive is if the fishing actually requires some sort of response from the player. In other words instead of the fish just coming in you would have to continually drag the line in against resistance (better the fish harder the catch). Also I wish the increase in price for the fish in the later islands more-so matched the increase in the price for the next totem. Otherwise very good game.

This game really captures the essence of a simple activity like fishing. Personally, I love the simplicity of things and how vibrant and cute this game is. I really don’t write reviews at all but I just wanted to compliment the nature and scenery depicted throughout the different islands and how the music flows with the serenity of a small yet peaceful world. I know the idea is to keep everything to a minimal but one thing I’d like to add is if we can have the option to decorate our islands like buy flowers and beach chairs, a volleyball net, a tiki bar would be so cute, and other beachy things. Maybe be able see crabs and tropical birds wondering around. Or add other sea creatures like clams and oysters yet still keep these things minimal. Even if this game doesn’t extend that far I still think it’s a great game by itself the way it is. Thank you for your time.

I adore this game and the fact that no one has ever properly made a good fishing game just proves how great it is. However the one problem is polish, for the style I see your going with a low poly look to your style and that’s cool but a lot of stuff looks way too low poly and I feel their should be better textures and details. Another thing is just the minor details as i feel their should be more verity in scenery like with plant life both in and out of water , an example would be coral Reefs although those are technically animals. Another thing could be reeds or algae for more closed in mangroves. On a final note the biggest thing that is needed is MORE CONTENT as I can’t get enough of it. Well done and I hope this game gets the love that it deserves

I love this relaxing game! I really wish there was more content, though, as my avatar has already found all the treasure types and the only task left is basically just grinding for money. There’s so many options that could be added; additional fish species, additional treasure types, a special island you can find on voyages that contains a cool game event, more boat types with advanced options like speed bursts or storage capacity, more treasure types or something cool that happens when you find all the treasure, etc. So much potential for people to keep playing. Maybe you can unlock a higher level (which gives you access to all the new content) through either grinding for game money or purchasing. Anyway, thanks for making this fun game!

This game has got to be one of the best things I’ve stumbled across in Tides Store. I have been having a lot of anxiety lately and every time I open this app up, I instantly feel relieved. The artwork, the collectables, the sounds and vibrations, the lack of pop-up ads— there are so many calming things that playing this had provided me. I ‘finished’ the game in less than a week, but still continue to play it whenever I need a break from the stresses of life.

The artwork and game flow is top quality and gorgeous, with cute little companions and serene fish animations. The instant gratification and generosity of obtaining the actual gold fills my heart to the brim.

And let’s talk about the ads! There are none unless you opt to watch them for opening chests and doubling gold— which I heavily suggest doing! It makes fishing trips less frequent when you’re wanting to upgrade Totems and it really helps out the wonderful developers. You can tell they put time and effort into making this game perfect, so please support them

I am such a big fan - and I’m so grateful that games like this and The Creatures of the Deep are a part of my wind-down time!!! I came across this kind of accidentally less than 2 days ago when looking for another game like C.O.T.D. They are both so beautifully done and simple, yet so entertaining. I can just go fishing and run amongst islands and easily let my mind go anywhere OTHER than the bad places it sometimes wanders at night.
My ONLY complaint is that, for some reason, it can sometimes be difficult to get the boat to go where I want it to - and thus get lost easily. That being said - I haven’t updated my boat yet. Otherwise, I wouldn’t change a thing!!!!!

I never leave reviews on games but I have to tell you guys, I downloaded this on a whim and the more I play the more I love it. It's simple enough to navigate and doesn't leave me feeling anxious like I NEED to complete things on a time limit. It's very much my own pace and I realized that even the music is lovely. I normally play phone games without sound because certain aspects of a game with sound can be too loud or overwhelming in some aspects but this game is overall just lovely and I'm so glad I downloaded it. Thank you so much for making this.

It's already helped tremendously just to calm down and distract myself in a way that's truly comforting and that in itself is a win if you ask me❤️

The gorgeous aesthetics, simple yet engaging mechanics, as well as a progression system that walks the fine line between challenging but also doable goals make this game so much fun and relaxing. It’s not the most thrilling game, but I like that the developers have chosen a specific purpose and type of game and made it really good. My biggest praise is Shallot’s approach to monetization of this game. Ads seem few and far between because they are intentionally placed to reward players for watching them, and you only see them when you choose to. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a relaxing game to waste time with. Also check out their Discord server, the community is awesome and there are weekly fishing tournaments.

Wow, where do I begin? This game is amazing. The graphics are cute and the ability to unlock different and yet vast diverse ships is the chef's kiss. My favorite is the flamingo. This game is a idle game in where you unlock the fisherman/fisherwoman assistant who sits on the dock and repeatedly fishes to give you coins to use to upgrade ships as well as the island. What makes this game stands out is the ability to upgrade your islands, fish and do random things like play with a giant beach ball. I haven't figured out the difference with the ships itself other than inventory sizes. Now, some ideas for the developers can you add more music choices when you unlock the drums. I would also love to explore the other islands as well you put so much details into the islands as well as the vast fish or fishes(different species of fish, google it.) it is a shame not to explore the islands and dig for treasure or do a quest that requires you to cut down a tree or interact with villagers. Just a though. Other wise it is a near perfect game that isn't just a idle game. The only game that is almost similar to this one is soda dungeon because it's a hybrid between RPG/adventure and idle.

The adventures have begun :) This has been a super kool breath of fresh air. You can leisure at your own pace. Low learning curve with great tutorials to get started. Visit new places and I don't wanna spoil anything but I have even made few new friends....Well more like acquaintances now but they are growing on me. Also if you can afford to buy a start pack great but if your like me and have kids galore you will find our friends here have put some sweet video options and some extra credit for you explorers out there. It helps them for you to watch the ad so they help you with some goodies of every type:) best freedom of spending choice app I have ever seen paired with its content type. Way to go !!!!

Great game all in all! Thank you for letting it be a nice relaxing and simple experience rather than riddling it with ads. I’m very excited to see future updates and new features! I’d suggest adding different boats and maybe simple character customizations. Another fun idea might be to connect all the islands and be able to boat to them from the main island? Last suggestion-maybe a tab that’s just dedicated to supporting you guys would probably work well. Just leaving optional ads with no rewards or anything just leave it up to the player to be able to support you. Great game though!!!

Just redownloaded and it’s so cool to see how much the game has progressed!!! I’m so excited to see where it goes. I think a fun feature was being able to go on the islands, maybe the crates that you find in the water could be dug up on land if you find a message in a bottle in the water with a treasure map! This would make the process of getting a crate more rewarding and overall more valuable I think. Either way super fun game thank you!

Thank you, developers, for creating this wonderful game. It’s a dream come true. So many pros, not one con. Seriously. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and exciting to learn about new fish I’ve caught. And I’ve only been playing for, like, 30 minutes!

My only wish for this game is a multiplayer option. That would make my experience SO much more fun! Visiting other islands would just seem so... 👌😌.

This game is SERIOUSLY underrated. I’ve played a ton of idle games, but I’ve always decided to delete them in the first 10 minutes of me playing. But this...this is truly a diamond in the rough. It’s slow-paced, which I like of a game. I’m on an island. I LOVE the water. I could go on and on about what I like in this, but I don’t think my fingers would prefer that. So I’ll end this review here. Thank you, developers.

I really love this game, I even bought paid to make it ad free but I’ve been reading everywhere you can buy boat cards from the gray haired girl by the guy you upgrade and change boats with but I don’t have her on my island. I’ve looked everywhere and tried to Google if others are having the same problem but can’t find anything. I’ve even deleted and reinstalled it and nothing.
On that same note I’d like to have the option to completely start the game over but when I delete and reinstall it keeps my progress.
Other than those 2 things it’s great. I like that it’s portrait mode so I can play it laying on the couch or even in the bath and I normally immediately turn off all sound on games since I listen to audiobooks while I play but I left these ones on.

I honestly love this game! I literally just got this game an hour ago and I'm already to Redrock. (Which i formerly mistook for Bedrock) Although this is a great game, I think that maybe a bit more variety would be great. By that i mean; maybe you could add this thing for quests where you sail to a separate group of islands where you could find fruits like bananas and coconuts and pineapples. But not too much detail or anything since it would just be a mini game thing, for when you don’t wanna fish or once you finish finding fish for all the islands. Other than the repetitive fishing technique, this game is freaking awesome, keep up the great work!
(Also btw, i love how you don't have boundaries on rocks an in the water, it amazing since basically all games with these kinds of controls have that) ( ALSO also; i love the flamingo boat, its the only one i use XD)

If you have anxiety, everyday stress, or excessive anger, then THIS is the game for you. This is only my second day playing and I’m already leaving a 5 star. The game is very well balanced because you can upgrade your dock fisherman and when you play the next day your fisherman could have caught you well up to 30k coins at night. (I have level 25 fisherman, if you haven’t downloaded yet, you can upgrade your fisherman to get you more coins per catch.) This is super helpful because once you buy the 4th island, the next one is almost 15 times as expensive. If you grinding for things like in a game without being asked to buy things every 2 minutes and making your island home better, and also fishing for beautiful fish from around the world, then this is the game for you.

I would love to see a dev response, your little characters on my island are super cool!

It has a chill, cozy, yet fun atmosphere. Its such a nice experience upgrading your boat and island and going on fishing trips to different locations. I would love to see more. Multiplayer would take this game to a whole new level. It would literally be the best mobile game to exist. Similar to Animal Crossing, you would be able to enter the houses that are already on the island and have the ability to customize the inside and decorate it. Coins could be spent on those decorations and even self customization like accessories. And just the thought of being able to visit your friends’ islands and chilling with the low-key music in the background is making me warm and cozy inside. I’m really looking forward to the future of this game and I think it has heaps of potential. I sincerely hope you consider implementing multiplayer this app. Thanks a lot, I’m enjoying it very much and I think the Developers are awesome!

There are few games today that I feel are worthwhile playing on iOS. I download games with the expectation of becoming tired of them within a very short length of time, however this game is different. This game is a work of art akin to that of Alto’s Adventure and its sequel Alto’s Odyssey. The only difference is the inclusion of ads, but they are not at all intrusive and you could happily play this game without needing to watch a single ad or purchase a single thing. I did, however, happily shell out $6.99 to remove ads from the game. Not because I disliked the ads (I mean I don’t like them but who does), but because I wanted to support the developers. The gameplay is refreshing and I literally just spent two hours playing without even realizing. Keep it up. I look forward to your future work, be it on this game or something completely new.

I got this game a month or so ago because of the reviews and have been playing off and on just to build up money because in the later part of the game it takes a LONG time to progress. Been doing the jobs from the job board and using the idle fishermen. I do wish there was more stuff you could do like maybe customize your ships, upgrade fishing poles and such. Also if the money you get from fish from places you unlocked in the beginning would scale up as you unlock new areas, that would be nice. Otherwise I just never keep the fish from there and don’t care about going back. Was trying to find some sort of news for upcoming updates but i’ve found nothing besides some speculation on things that people want or things that have already been added. Anyways, this game is a really great idle game but it peters out towards the late game as it requires a lot more time and grinding to actually unlock the final areas.

I have been looking for a fun and relaxing game to play during my downtime at work, at trying multiple random ones i happened to stumble across this app this morning… I’m hooked! (Pun intended) it’s super easy to get started, extremely immersive and just an absolute blast to play. Tons of little features besides fishing also like being about to find companions such as hamsters, birds etc. and they even give you coins over time! Upgrading boats, upgrading fishing assistants or just going from island to island trying to catch the biggest fish you can find. It’s hands down one of the best games I’ve ever played on mobile in any category. Not to mention, there is hardly any ads!!! And if you do have to watch one, you will benefit from it. Unlike other games that force you to watch ads over and over with nothing in return. These ads are optional, and will give you coins, or treats for you companion to upgrade them! Like I said before, very immersive for such a cute little fishing game. Go ahead and try it, you will love it.

This game caught my attention since I first saw it, and it still does. From a person who plays so many games I know that they aren't always everything you’d expect it to be. I play games such as Roblox, Sky, Sims mobile and more. But this game relly stood out to me. In this game (SPOILER) you get to catch fish to get money then you can spend the money on things such as buying new items for your island. This game is so relaxing, to me. Every time I think it can’t get better it gets even better!!! But I do have a few suggestions! If this game had online play, OMG this would be the best game that ever existed bumping it up to a hole new level. It’d also be nice to be able to have your own house on your island and be able to buy furniture to customize your house. Kinda like animal crossing. I just unlocked the fourth island and I’m so exited to go check it out! Another thing I had a suggestion on is clothe’s I know I have Ted got that far in the game yet but, the clothes are always the same it’s like a shirt and a pair of shorts so I was wondering if you could add more clothing ? Or am I just not Farr enough into the game yet? Developers thank you sooo much for making this game and listening to my suggestions hope you add a few. Developers this game has also changed my perspective on games you guys set the bar pretty high.
