Mys Tyler Reviews

I’m currently a contributor (I can use affiliate links with the outfit photos I post) to MysTyler but I don’t use it very frequently. I find it very difficult to use especially when it comes to adding my links. There’s no way for me to save folders of my links or check that it’s a supported retailer. It’s also not clear to me where I go to check commissions or how I could share my posts to other social media. Not sure MysTyler is worth the work until it’s been tailored more towards creator’s needs.

I really love the idea of MysTyler but after setting up my profile there’s nobody with my size/body. I think the percentage of my closest match was 60%. Despite being a plus size woman in her mid 30s, one of my top five matches was a teenager who is a size 2. I have no use for MysTyler now but once it gets bigger I’d definitely come back.

I believe the personal quiz should be asking for your bust/waist/hip measurements instead of your dress size. There are many sources to find famous people’s measurements. It would also be useful to add a body shape option like hourglass/pear/etc. to relate the content more to the users.

What attracted me to MysTyler was my interest in seeing what my body may look like in the perspective of other people. However, I ended up having matches that definitely did not share my body type after spending <5 minutes on MysTyler (including set-up)... there is plenty to improve on!

I downloaded MysTyler because of an IG ad I saw. It showed a sign-up page with different gender options, and I got excited! I love the idea of MysTyler, and as a butch, GNC woman finding clothes that fit can be very challenging. The thought of having a platform where I could maybe get ideas an give suggestions to others like me was exciting, since all of the other fashion-disrupting services (Stitchfix, for example) are for… well, not people like me.

Unfortunately, Mys Tyler was a letdown. The image I saw in the ad isn’t actually a part of MysTyler , it doesn’t exist. I thought I’d keep going anyway, but then you have to put in your sizes in women’s clothing only - I don’t know my dress size! I haven’t worn a real bra in 8 years, no idea! I do, however, know my size in suits and slacks.

I think this is probably a really great app for some women, but not women like me. Which is ok - but, FYI Mys Tyler developers - there’s definitely a market for a social network app like yours for gender non-conforming or gender creative folks! ALL of us have taken YEARS trying to figure out what works on our bodies, and where to buy it. Communication crowdsourcing would be a huge help. Just a thought.

MysTyler is very fun in a sense that you get to match with people who are of similar shape/size and you get to see how different clothing items are styled on them. I think it’s really helpful in that sense especially before you purchase something that is meant for, let’s say, someone taller if you are petite. I do wish there was more ways to interact with your followers or other contributors besides just following them - MysTyler seems very “quiet” in a sense. There’s not a lot of interaction between the contributors and the followers and it would be great if there was something to allow the followers to closely connect with the contributors especially if they had specific questions about certain pieces. Also, being a contributor, I find it difficult only being able to link 5 clothing items - some people prefer alternative options or similar options that are cheaper and it would be nice to offer those too! Overall good app, but just wish there was more chances to connect with fellow contributors & followers.

There’s lots of room for MysTyler to grow for sure - more contributors, etc. but the mission of Mys Tyler is great and MysTyler is a refreshing space that is definitely helping my journey through working on body image and fashion. 💜

This is a great idea for an app. I’m 5’1” and it can be a challenge to find clothes that fit well and look good on me. I like that I can follow other shorties to get an idea of how an outfit will look before I buy. I look forward to watching this platform grow!

I actually never write reviews but I just had to for MysTyler! MysTyler is absolutely amazing, they take so many factors into consideration when matching you with Contributors. These factors include; age, dress size, bra size, hair color, skin color (all so they can show you people who LOOK like you, wearing clothes that will best suit what YOU look like). I’m so happy that I came across MysTyler because it really inspires my fashion. After being stuck in quarantine for so long my clothes are begging to be worn and MysTyler allows me to see different styles that I’d love to replicate. MysTyler also helps to eliminate ordering clothes that you THINK will fit you and ultimately saves you money in the long run (remember that item you swore you were going to return?). I also love and appreciate the fact that regular people (as opposed to celebrities) are given the opportunity to become a contributor, all you need to do is apply! Often times people have negative thoughts about startups because they think that it the creators will drop the ball but people fail to realize that because it’s a startup the creators are keen to hear your opinion so they can make improvements! This is a chance to have your opinion heard and help MysTyler be the best it can be SO hurry up and download it NOW so that when it blows up you can tell people you knew about it first ;)

Fun fashion app that matches your style with real women! It’s like Instagram for women who want to shop for outfits that looks good on other women but in your size. Have used it to get inspiration for outfits and there is an option to buy the outfit too which is handy.

As a plus size creator (on MysTyler and elsewhere), I’m always looking for ways to connect to those who are my size/have the same style as me and MysTyler does just that! Be sure to be specific when you answer the questions. Thanks for creating this awesome app!

Mys Tyler is genius because you are matched with women like you! Your feed will show styles based on your features. This makes it so much easier and more fun to online shop. Definitely check it out!

Getting to experience MysTyler growing in real time has been incredibly rewarding. I’m able to discover clothing and brands from people who have a similar size and shape, and I’m able to see styling choices I never would have thought of, plus contributors provide links to items to my minimize searching.

Not only does it allow me to track my daily outfits - but I can get honest feedback. I LOVE that I can follow women who look like me and not Instagram models or “influencers”. The shop feature is great too because I don’t have to search comments for info. It’s just all right there!

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve looked for an app like this! Countless days of searching for someone on IG or google with my body type/weight/height. Well, now here it is! You can follow contributors based on your body description and get cute outfit ideas and inspiration for your next fit. Some users even provide links to the exact style! I’d compare this to Instagram but for *fashion*. It is literally the holy grail for users (literally) like you! 🥲

i’m giving MysTyler 5 stars for a great concept and it’s potential. since it’s in it’s early days, there’s a lot of room for improvement and i’m sure there are plenty of ideas in the works.

I don’t see a lot of people my size in a fashion context anywhere, so this has been a great space so far to get inspiration and ideas and to share my own content. I think with time this will be come a fantastic app and a great community!

This is an amazing app that enables women of all ages, shapes and sizes to find women with body types similar to theirs, and see how a variety of outfits might look on them. It’s evolving over time and only getting better. Recently Mys Tyler unveiled a feature where a daily inspiration is given. (Ex pink/animal prints). This allows we women to think outside the box and consider options that we may never have though of otherwise. I love MysTyler and send my many thanks to the entrepreneurial women who have created it.

I have been a part of Mys Tyler since the beginning of the year, and I am so wowed by this startup platform. As a consumer, I love being able to fill my feed with other people (similar and different from my body type) and see what the latest fashions are. As a contributor, I love bringing my own personal flare and sharing it with others - I’ve already reached 1000 followers! Everyone I have come across in the community has been so lovely and supportive. Definitely recommend this forward-thinking platform.

As a plus sized woman, sometimes you can get down on your body. You think clothes don’t look good on you, and that nobody makes them to fit your type and style. Mys Tyler has been amazing in changing that mindset. I look forward to the weekly themes, put together outfits and pieces I may not have worn in a long time, and play dress up again! I love the community of women this is building. I love having people that will love my new outfit to share and finding new ones from others. This has been a game changer for my self-esteem.

I’ve been a Pinterest and Instagram junkie for years. And while there’s a lot of great inspiration on there, one of the things I’ve learned recently in my never ending struggle to outfit my plus size body, is it’s not just the size of your body but also the height, your bone structure, and the way flesh lays on you. Imagine my utter delight to find that I could be matched to other fashionistas based on height, based on dress size, based on cup size, find people with nearly identical builds to myself, and then as I fall in love with outfits there’s links to where I can find the garments? Are you kidding me!?!? It’s perfect. And they keep making improvements all the time.

I love the concept and I’m excited to see how this new app will continue to develop. It’s going to change the game for shopping at home! I’m enjoying the inspiration from contributors!
