App crashes every 2 seconds

I had a puffco before and I thought it was one of the best products ever. Then I got a new one and PathBrowser completely killed itself.

You can’t do anything on PathBrowser without it pitching your screen black. I tried to login and of course it crashed. Even when trying to access the temperature controls it completely gives out and forces you to restart the entire app.

At one point I thought these guys were at the top of the food chain when it came to e rigs. With PathBrowser not being able to perform its most basic needs this is just as good as the carta or any other brands around. At this point with company’s like carta putting their temperature controls on their device, it’s hard not to think that I wasted my money. I wish the support team would get back to me so we can try to resolve this issue.

Not really a review more so a rant but I hope this helps someone going forward.

Firmware Error Brand New Puffco PeakPro

I just received my brand new puffco pro I was so excited to use it and it won’t connect to my phone I have factory reset it I have deleted and readded PathBrowser both of them and nothing is working it see it goes up to 10% to connect then just shows I need to update the firmware but there’s no way to do that unless it’s connected and it won’t even connect please help I am about to throw this at a wall. I have the brand new update on the iPhone and I have an iPhone 13 max pro.

Updated: got it to connect updated the firmware then the Bluetooth connection wouldn’t connect even though I could see it so I forgot the device and I havnt seen it ever since.

Don’t Buy A Puffco

PathBrowser makes me want to break the thing on a daily basis. It’s the worst app I’ve ever used. It won’t open, you have to close and open it sometimes 50+ times, it won’t update firmware, it won’t let me log in or create an account, it gets stuck at the gmail page and you can’t go back or even exit and return, you can’t do anything. The solution? There isn’t one, the only thing I found to do is uninstall and reinstall and start all over. Oh and PathBrowser isn’t recognized while in use so in case it actually works you have to keep touching the screen or it logs you out. How can PAX make such a great app and that was years ago? I can’t imagine the loss of revenue over not hiring a legit software development team. Way to go making sure no one will buy your device again because PathBrowser is so poorly made it rarely works. With weed it’s a lighter, dabs it’s butane, this is an app that won’t work, battery needs charged, then needs updated, then it won’t recognize the atomizer. This thing makes my life more difficult and I spent a lot of money for the experience. You’ll see.

Super struggle to log in!

PathBrowser forces me to log into my Puffco account. why? I mean seriously, why?

Okay fine I try logging in. I choose “Sign in with Google”. It asks for my passkey, which is my face. But the camera never activates and it goes to a new screen:
“Something went wrong!”
I can choose “Try again!” Or “Try a different way”

That’s the ONLY choices. I can’t go back or anything else.

“Try again just brings me back to this screen.

“Try another way” lets me choose
- Use Passkey
-> does the same as above
- Use Password
-> I enter my password, followed by 2 factor identification, which wants to use my passkey, which works for every other app but this one.

So I change my 2 factor identification method,
It takes several more tries!

Yay, I can mess with my Puffco Pro and do fun things.

A few days later, I try to use PathBrowser again. It wants me to sign in using Google again.

WHY! Really put the info you need on my phone and stop needing the internet unless I need to order something or get a firmware update.

I love the Puffco Pro, I love what PathBrowser can (or is supposed to ) do! But fix it!

Pleases fix it!

Can’t back out of gmail sign in screen

Opened up PathBrowser to see that I’d been signed out, and I accidentally clicked on the option to sign in with gmail and wasn’t given any way to go back. I tried completely closing out PathBrowser and restarting it, but it just opens up right back at the gmail sign in page for whatever reason. It’s looking like the only option is to make a new account with a gmail and redo all of my presets and everything.

You’d think for such an expensive and tech-savvy brand they’d put a little more effort into the software side of things, but it sadly isn’t the case.

This app is a joke

I am in love with the device itself; however, I found it worth the cost because of the digital aspect. Why in the world is PathBrowser ALWAYS glitching? It won’t connect or the main screen won’t pop up. I have a lot of friends interested in the device because of the idea of PathBrowser but I have to send them the other way because your app can’t even function properly.

My biggest issue at the moment is I had to delete PathBrowser and restart my phone just for it to still not work. The accept and decline screen won’t show any words and remains white, if I can get that far. I can’t log in, before it would connect to my device but the screen would remain black. I just can’t seem to figure out the issue with why PathBrowser is so complicated?

How can you not produce an app yet? My puffco used to be my favorite company for electric rigs, but to be honest , the last one I bought the glass was defective and they wanted me to take videos.??? They never replaced it. Fast forward to a month ago (less than a year, it would not even work anymore) so I just purchased another one about a month ago. This is the same one, the glass was correct this time, but it’s already started throwing codes and won’t hold a charge….. And as off two days ago, it won’t even connect or pair…. I did everything the same exact way I used to and it was already in there and named and modified so this is upsetting 100%. I used to love puffco’s products but now I am searching for a better company. Do better puffco. This was my 10th rig.

Limited Edition: Desert V2 Peak Pro

**Caution**
I recently purchased a desert peak pro and upon many others not only myself basically everyone who has gotten this colorway has had issues with PathBrowser not corresponding and functioning the way in needs to.
The Bluetooth connectivity is faulty and doesn’t register as the “Desert Edition” on PathBrowser and the device is left as a dud. This bug needs fixed asap because those of us paying $420+ for a paperweight is unacceptable. Thus far puffco support has had minimal to no resolving solution to correct the problem for the users who have already bought the product.
Puffco support seems to only fancy replying back one email per day which drags the process out even further.
Please beware.

Not the worst device but app needs serious improvement..

I’m gonna start out by saying the peak pro is a huge improvement on the last pro and the first peak. but there are a lot of issues not only with PathBrowser , but also connection issues I have had with a brand new 3D chamber. I have had the peak pro for five days now. PathBrowser is the laggiest app I have on my phone. It consistently logs me out of my puffco account and anytime I click adjust heat it lags for 10, 20, 30 seconds before I just close it and re open. The device itself other than the chamber connection issues has been phenomenal, which I would assume for $420 should be the case. PathBrowser however makes the experience feel cheap and inexpensive. I will assume their profit margin has to be high considering this is just a simple heating device with some electronic components and LEDs. they need to immediately hire a developer and get in contact with Apple about the no vaping app policy because people will start to wake up and realize it is not worth the 200 extra dollars for the “app experience”. this is not a warning against the peak pro, but this is just insider knowledge on someone who dabs regularly and enjoys smooth and effective experiences.

Needs Urgent Update for Overheating Issues

I recently used Path Browser and found it to be a potentially useful app; however, there’s a critical issue that needs immediate attention. While using PathBrowser , I noticed a significant problem with overheating, which not only affects the overall user experience but also poses a risk to the iPhone’s battery health.

The constant overheating during app usage is concerning, as it not only impacts performance but also contributes to a rapid drain in battery life. This persistent overheating is not only inconvenient but could potentially lead to a reduction in the iPhone’s maximum battery capacity over time.

I strongly urge the developers to address this overheating issue promptly through an update. Enhancing PathBrowser ’s performance and ensuring it operates within acceptable temperature limits would greatly improve the user experience and safeguard the device’s longevity.

I appreciate PathBrowser ’s potential, but until this issue is resolved, it’s difficult to fully recommend Path Browser. Looking forward to seeing a swift update to address these concerns.

Don’t bother

Nothing from PathBrowser works. The dabs left tab is incorrect mathematically. The battery life doesn’t match the dabs left. The dabs taken doesn’t match at all the dabs if actually taken. They should have put extra components on the peak itself to tell you how much battery you have left. Don’t dare tell friends to get it because an actual glass rig at that price is tastier and better. Later my puffco accessory got clogged from hitting diamond rocks and I couldn’t fix it and they didn’t even bother looking at it other than my pictures. I was a puffco fan but I’m going to quit weed now sense it’s time consuming to pack it even with a peak pro that never reads its chamber.

Browser Non-Functional

I gave it two stars because it was great for a few weeks. But now it gives me an error message. I haven’t been able to get in to PathBrowser for days now. Tried deleting it and reinstalling it several times, but it pops up with Google browser. Maybe there’s a fix, but I don’t want to have an app that I have to continually go in to fix. Luckily, the device has basic functionality without PathBrowser , but I probably wouldn’t have spent $500 on a product if I had known all the features wouldn’t be available without an occasionally functional app. Live and learn.

It's Not the best but it's sort of working

I have the new peak pro desert and I've been having problems after problems I can't even delete profiles or add new moods anymore. I can't even set presets anymore so I had to use the one that were already there and costomize that, I've only received one update and honestly it was working better before the update. I just want the bugs fixed because I just dont to sell this $420 devices just for software

Babs igoin commented a fix that worked for me after my Peak Pro would no longer pair.

Uninstall Path Browser.

Hold Peak Pro power button for 20 seconds, so that it resets.

Reinstall app and go to the url [puffco dot app].

Then you can select “Get Started”, which’s prompts the correct Bluetooth connection permissions.

I chose not to upgrade firmware.

This got me back to the functionality I had last year.

My issue before the fix was that when I launched path browser, it said couldn’t connect. But when prompted to give Bluetooth permissions, the Path Browser launched the wrong settings pane, with no Bluetooth option, so it couldn’t be fixed. It also wasn’t showing up with Bluetooth devices.

Puff Co should have this info right on their instructions page. PathBrowser is the definition of a work around.

Haven’t had many problems

Only problem I’ve had with PathBrowser is when I first got my peakpro I couldn’t connect it I tried everyday for about 3-4 days before giving up. About a week later I tried to connect it again and it connected no problem. I setup my heat temps and lengths I like and I haven’t had any problems since then. A lot faster than a glass rig easy to pack just don’t go overboard clean it regularly and you’ll be fine. You can expect a lot smoother dabs and a quick and easy experience I’d recommend to others

Works great for what it’s for

I keep seeing a lot of low star reviews from people that think this is simply a regular browser, it is not, it’s designed for one thing, and that’s to use the puffco peak “app”, (for those that don’t know apple does not allow tobacco/ smoking apps, and this is puffcos workaround) and it works perfectly for that. Maybe uses a little much battery but other than that no issues. If you’re expecting a full featured browser, look somewhere else because PathBrowser is not that.

Puffco Needs to make an App period

PathBrowser isn’t bad at all they say when you try to change ur heat setting or any settings for that matter you can do it like 2-4 times in a row or else it’ll freeze. To me it’s not a big deal I just close PathBrowser and re open it and it’s perfectly fine. Not bad app or running for not being made by Puffco don’t hate on them when you bought a thing that doesn’t have PathBrowser yet lol that’s on Puffco should be happy there’s this to even hit a dab

Pay attention if you can’t connect the app to peak pro

For the past three days I’ve been trying to connect and download the Path Browser to the peak pro but it kept saying connection not working or something with Connection failed, what I found out..I had to reset my iPhone and then download the Path Browser app and then it work, if I would’ve known to just reset my phone from the beginning it would of been easier , I tried resetting my peak pro , and downloaded PathBrowser over 20 times it worked on my iPad so that’s when I figured it was my phone

10/10. I’ve had absolutely 0 issues with the device or app. My avg is 6.0 dabs a day as I have work buddies who use it with me and my total is 4197 fixing to be 4198. And let me tell you, that chamber gets filled heavy. Ive taken this device on vacations, float trips etc. I think most of these posts are USER ERRORS. If you click the buttons twice for heat and it blinks red and white that means the CHAMBER IS NOT CONNECTED PROPERLY AND YOU NEED TO TAKE IT OFF AND TWIST IT BACK ON. Thats what happened on my float trip. Water filled the chamber, I took it out and dried it for 5 minutes, good to go. About the only thing I haven’t done is dropped it like a moron. I would 100% recommend this beast

Great Device. Easy to use App

Took a few minutes to get setup, not more than 10 min though. After that everything has worked great for me. I got a Flourish Puffco Peak Pro v2 so it has a skin unique to it. Went on Reddit and got a bunch of links to Mood Lights other people have made and shared. I think I have about 40-50 on there now. Got my temps dialed in and adjusted the settings to my preferences. All in all I think it took bout an hour. I’d only used the Puffco for a cpl dabs the night before & had never used PathBrowser . I followed the directions that came with my Peak Pro and the videos on PathBrowser that show what to do. This was 2 months ago. I’ve only had an issue of it not connecting to my device two times. I restarted PathBrowser and it was fine. My cleaning reminder works fine too. I don’t really have to recommend this if you are looking at PathBrowser you have either bought a Puffco or you plan too. I’ve tried a lot of devices, I’ve yet to find any that are better.
