Ally – Collect and Backup Reviews

First off, Ally is most definitely worth the cost. It is the most efficient way to organize and use your amiibos effectively. It works especially well with the n2 Elite Tag. It can both read and write to it along with randomizing the serial of the .bin file if need be. To transfer your existing .bin files from another device to Ally, you can use google drive, dropbox, ect. which makes it extremely sleek and easy to get started with.
Ally is the slickest, fastest software to use in tandem with the n2 elite tag even being faster/easier to use than n2 elites own pc software. 10/10

Currently Ally is not able to scan or import the new Animal Crossing series 5 cards. They can attempted to be scanned by Ally but are immediately rejected with the message “this is not an amiibo” when scanned. Yet the actual game, ACNH, recognizes them just fine. Importing backups for season 5 cards will attempt to import them, and in fact state that the amiibo backups are loaded, but alas, when looking at the cards attempted to be loaded, the respective cards remain in the “unscanned” state.

Ally works fine for every other Animal Crossing season I tested as well as miscellaneous figures I collected over the years. Once support is fixed for AC series 5, I will update with 5 stars.

Also, loading in multiple backup files at once is a really nice feature!

I’ve used the this app app for a couple of days now and I have to say it’s truly a great app. Compared to the other amiibo apps in Ally Store this one is the best one by far. this app allows you to categorize your amiibo by set, game, and type, showing you which amiibo you do and don’t have in that collection, which I really enjoy. Overall, Ally works great for me and it allows me not only to keep up with but continue growing my collection of amiibo. I hope the devs continue to add more additions to Ally , so that it can grow and become an even better app.

From what I’ve used so far, Ally is both easy and convenient to use for sorting a growing amiibo collection. I haven’t had a use for saving amiibo, but from the other reviews it seems like a welcome edition, and a selling point for most. The only gripe I have is that the amiibos are sorted alphabetically, and there’s no way to change it. It would be very helpful, for me at least, if there were options to sort by release date, or date scanned, things like that (Release date is the main one I’m looking for). Overall, worth the $5!

I’ve been using this app for months now, and by all means it is the ONLY choice for managing my amiibo and N2 Elite. It has a sleek, easy to navigate layout. One of the only amiibo apps I’ve messed with to save the data from games like SSBU. The N2 functionality is impeccable and flawless. If you need help from developers, they get back to you within less than a day.

They COULDN’T have made a more ideal app for amiibo. this app is a priceless asset to my amiibo collection and I don’t know what I’d do without it. It’s honestly worth more than they ask of you for it.

I wasn’t sure how to write NFC/amiibos with no apps on the market. Then I came across this app on reddit. I asked the developer about it, and he responded very quickly letting me know that yes, it can write Amiibos onto NFC!

I quickly bought it, and the developer let me know what I needed to activate the dark mode, and under 5 minutes I was able to create my own Amiibo (ntag215) required.

Really happy with Ally , it’s simple and clean UI and highly recommend!

This is a really well done amiibo app for managing your personal collection. Overall UI is quite easy to use. However, I would like to request a feature request to add a new button for “Amiibo Import”. As of now you have to press hard on the “+” button to activate an additional pop up menu for import. A mis-timely press on the “+” button often goes to its default behavior to scan amiibo NFC. But besides that I do not see any other issues with Ally . Well done devs!

I tried (and paid for) a couple app until I got this one and this app is hands down the best. Constantly updating to add newly released amiibo sand even added a whole new feature to see game usage for the selected amiibo. Easy to use. Looks great. Easily scan figures and cards, or.. Dark mode simply works. I don’t have an N2 reader but support is there! And did I mention good support from developer?

This is the amiibo app you are looking for.

However, if you have trouble at first getting your Amiibos to write to cards, you can contact support for where to find a file to enable dark mode. It’s different from the original bin files for your Amiibo collection, So don’t give up! Ally works perfectly! Just contact support for more info! They are more than willing to help, and are super quick & helpful. Ally works amazingly well! I love it! I am so happy I purchased!

I’ve had my N2 since the switch releases and loved it. I had another app (placiibo) for nfc writing but thought it was just okay. Seemed like an app called cattlegrid but you had to pay to unlock more features. Even then it was no where close to as nice as this one. With the add on benefit of working with e N2 elite. It could use a couple optimizations but still better than competing apps

I hated that when I traveled I had to choose between which figures I wanted to bring because I was always so scared I would break one. Especially my Epona Link figure. Now I have them on these smaller disks that fit right into my switch case and if I loose one or break it oh well I’m out a couple of dollars vs not being able to replace my amiibo because they’re impossible to find.

I had a small issue with having downloaded corrupted bins, but it was immediately resolved by the staff and i was sent a link to the correct files which was super helpful!! Ally itself is also fantastic, using it to see your amiibo collecting grow is so satisfying and using dark mode is super fast and easy. it’s 100% worth the price and i highly recommend it!

Cataloguing ability is second to none. Uploading Amiibos/Bins is seamless and essentially verifies the bin on it’s own (won’t accept an invalid bin).

I downloaded/paid for a few other iOS Amiibo apps and this one takes the cake. They also responded with 24 hours to a Twitter DM when I needed help.

The only Amiibo app I’ll be using. The fact is manages the N2Elite too so seamlessly... GOLD!

Ally is amazing! I used it to upload all of my Amiibo data to keep track of what I Amiibos I have and what I still need. I also used it on my iPhone to write amiibo cards for my kids... okay for me. It works great and is super user friendly. I am glad I bought Ally and cannot recommend it enough.

Ally has such a beautiful UI. It adds the pictures for you and keeps everything nice and organized. I love scanning my Amiibo collection and watching it grow. Definitely the best app for keeping your Amiibos organized. It also has a great feature to help you find the ones you are missing. 100% recommend!!

I’ve been using a competitors app which I paid 499 for also which I was not happy with because It’s lacking a database or the ability to import my back up files. That being said your app files that gap and adds a lot more f features I’ve also been searching for ! Great work keep it up 🤓👍

I recently purchased this so I could know where to get the best deals for Amiibo and knowing which amiibo’s I have and haven’t collected yet. Ally really helped me out to know what Amiibo I need to find for my collection. They were nice enough to provide me links to where the Amiibo I wanted were on sale! Please buy Ally! It’s worth every penny!

This is honestly worth the $5. Works great, looks great. If I had one suggestion for the developer, I’d love to see an Apple Watch app. Apple Watch has NFC and would make for a great way to import amiibos into your collection. Also, I’m sure this is game limitations, but it would be nice if you could see Smash Bros data for the 3DS/Wii U game, alongside Ultimate!

Downloaded Ally a couple days ago, and it hasn’t disappointed. Does exactly what it says and now I finally have a easy and convenient way to organize my amiibo. Had questions and the developer responded quickly and walked me through everything that I needed help with!

Ally does exactly what I needed it for and is super user friendly once you have it set up! I needed some help and their customer service on Twitter was so quick to respond and get me set up even at 2am!

I highly recommend this app to keep track of your amiibo and create backups! 😊
