4.1 out of 5
Worse than most free utilities

The Typescript / Javascript syntax highlighting is significantly poorer than most free tools and it looks like there hasn't been an update in many months despite the issues.

Requested review on first launch

Let me use Codye a bit maybe before triggering the review alert?

Lasted Five Minutes.

I was dissapointed by Codye within the first five minutes. First of all, I'm not paying a cent, to a coding app, with ONE LANGUAGE! It doesn't support anything but Swift! Also, I can't zoom in or out, which is a very useful feature. The initial Themes, seem to be as sloppy as possible. And, If you want to do Anything, you have to pay 60 $ to unlock all the features. Meanwhile, still only ONE LANGUAGE SUPPORT! Even in Pro, Swift is the only language it writes in! Don't waste your money!

It’s a trial of a $2 app

You can only use 2 themes and 1 format for free!

Zooming is a good thing you know

i want to be able to zoom in on the code im writing. i have a monitor. please add feature cause the code is super small to look at. i don't want to change font size or anything

how to use

Fantastic app but some needs to support custom fonts

This is a really nice app and something I have been looking for a while on my iPad! Kudos! It would be great if I could use my own custom fonts (that I have already available on the iPad) and it would be nice if I could use them!

Fun utility

This is a great little app for sharing code snippets with others who don't need to actually write or copy the code. Great for expaliners of how something works especially when working with consultants.

My main complaint is that we don't have the ability to import custom language or syntax highlighters (HTML is missing...)

We work with Salesforce Apex and I'd love to be able to pull in the syntax highlighting instructions from VSCode or similar.

Not Bad

I liked it , it has a tone of styles and support a lot of languages

Greate app, but

Codye is very niced overal, the only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the inablity to change the font size which is awkwardly missing

Wonderful App

If you teach programming, this is a wonderful tool for creating code segments that are visually appealing! Oftentimes, it's not easy to publish programming code in a format that looks attractive -- this makes it really simple.

One thing I wish Codye would offer is a padding option, where you can push the programming code a bit further inward (away from the edge) of the window. Other than that, I love it.

A handy little app

It's great for school assignments where the professor decides the best way to submit is to paste code into Google Docs. It's easy to use, has a way to purchase it without a subscription, and even without purchasing has plenty of options to make your code look exactly how you want (including themes good for people who are colorblind.)

A nice tool from a responsive dev

In the first review I left for this app, I lamented the fact that I couldn't choose my own fonts. Not too long after that, the developer responded to my review and added support for custom fonts. I updated my review to request additional options for changing the dimensions of the code area in the generated graphics, and that, too, got added. What more could you want?

This tool is so helpful!

I frequently make presentations, and this program makes code snippets appear nicely formatted, rather than hastily thrown together!
