FOX 13: Seattle News & Alerts Reviews

I haven’t had issues with crashing yet but other reviewers have said that there are not many news stories and they’re right. The old app had a lot of stories that you could scroll through but now you only get a few. There are some other stories but they are several months old like the story about ComicCon which was supposed to happen in March. This is not news, it’s olds.
As of now, your app is worse than all the other news apps so I’ll be deleting FOX13.
Developers you need to read the reviews and listen to what people have to say and fix FOX13.

This “new and improved” app is unusable. What was the point in making this when the original worked just fine? FOX13 freezes and shuts down constantly, when it does “work” you only get a few news stories and the rest is sponsored material. Walter left and now this?!? What is going on over there?

With the breaking news alert notifications, after clicking you are brought to an article and when hitting the back arrow, it takes you to a precious story. It continues to do this until you are finally back to the Home Screen. If FOX13 had a quick access back to the Home Screen from a nested article then I would give 5 stars!

This new streaming app does not work well with Apple devises. On the phone is fine but it’s very glitchy when streaming from my phone to the tv which is how I get my news in the morning. I can’t use my phone while streaming the newscast or it will turn off. The volume doesn’t work while streaming to the tv either. The old app was fine and worked much better. Hope you can fix the bugs.

I really like the re-design, but I’m really confused why certain sections do not update. Today is July 30th, yet the weather section has not updated since July 2nd. Top stories, local news, us news, they all have new content every day...not weather!! I’ve tried manually updating it, uninstalling and reinstalling FOX13 ...nope!!!

Nice connect to the station, but every time I go to a new area I am forced to endure a commercial with no way to skip. I finally decided it was more trouble than it was worth.

With FOX13 you’ll see about four news stories a day. It’s as if nothing ever happens around here. The advertisements in between the news stories are huge, as if they’re more exciting than the stories themselves. And they sometimes are. Just the most boring, “what’s the point of this?” news app possible. Honestly…do better.

I like it much better than the old app but it would be nice to navigate to more news per section

FOX13 is much improved since I first downloaded it. FOX 13 seems to have the fastest alerts in town! I love the people and use the live streams all the time.

What is the point of a news app that only has a handful of current news stories and no search function? Some of the stories are old news. The layout is distracting. The old app was at least functional in delivering news and searchable. Bring back the old app it would be an improvement over this.

Navigation is a bit wonky. At the very least, include a home page link within articles. Clicking the back button seemed to direct me through articles I hadn’t intended to click.

I just downloaded your new app and was immediately disappointed with it.
1. Crashed first time I opened it
2. Crashed the first time I tried to scroll down the page
3. Crashed the first time I tried to open an article

Tried new app with no success. Four attempts to view articles and it crashed all four time. 🤯. Really?

Still no luck. Three crashes straight from opening. Fourth try FOX13 opened but crashed when trying to open an article.

To hard to use. Cuts off stories. I like your old format, it was easy to use and covered more news. Keeps going off over and over it will not work longer than a few seconds. I had the old app but it said it has an update to take its place : it doesn’t work.

The old version let me scroll infinitely forever for all the news articles I could ever want to read. This terrible update limits out at about 5 news stories per section, and that's all you get. 5 local news, 5 sports, 5 other, etc.

Easy to use and good local content

Can you load some new commercials? It’s the same three all the time and sometimes it’s just one commercial playing in a loop.

Not a fan of the updated app. Only gives you 5 stories for each category. Cannot scroll down to see previous stories as you could in previous version

Was looking for a new and improved APP. What was delivered is a piece of crap. While viewing articles APP crashes and shuts down.
Certainly FOX13 developers can do better than this.
In the meantime gotta go elsewhere for the same news information.

Top/Breaking news is placed on the left in a column that then makes the words vertical? I don’t understand how this passed QA before going to FOX13 Store....

This used to be the moderate voice here in Seattle but it has been going far left more and more! The company that owns it has been getting rid of the moderate voices there! Shame I guess if they go low I will go lower OAN here I come

It only shows you four news stories and that’s it. What about all the rest of the news? I know there aren’t only four stories going around right now. Bring back the old app

Open a story to read and it crashes after 20 seconds, every single time. Just a piece of garbage.

No widget function available and it crashes constantly. Old app was far superior!!!

FOX13 will not stay open. You still need to offer support for older devises

Apps drop without reason after short to time in middle of reading story, news. Irritating. Fix it please.
