PDF Converter - Word to PDF Reviews

You don’t get any trials with PDFConverter, which is fine on its own, because fundamentally I feel like app developers should get paid for their work either through up-front payment, subscriptions, or ad revenue. It’s the deceptiveness, however, that’s the problem. Nowhere does it say that a subscription is REQUIRED until you’ve gone all the way through the process until the very end, and already given PDFConverter access to your files & photos.

It would be easy enough for them to put a pop-up box that says “subscription required!” At the very beginning. I have serious doubts of the integrity of the high reviews on PDFConverter. Seems like the real goal is a cheap way for them to data mine.

By the way, the subscription is $4/week. No free trial, no pay per conversion (which I would be fine with!). Just a scam.

Don’t know if PDFConverter actually works or not. After you go through the trouble of installing and setting up your first conversion, they hit you with a paywall. Nope. Be honest and up front about it.
Uninstalled immediately.

Do not be fooled by its high ratings. Most of the high ratings review are fake and doesnt even make any sense. All the 1 star reviews are from real people! PDFConverter do not give you any trials. As soon as you install and open. To do anything, it will charge you 3.99 per week to use its functions. No trials. How do I even know PDFConverter works? You have to pay for PDFConverter , before knowing whether PDFConverter works. I rather download photo to pdf because it is legit and allows you to actually test out PDFConverter before paying. And its like $4 for lifetime use, not a $4 subscription per week like this scam.

There’s a premium subscription if you want to actually use PDFConverter - which isn’t mentioned until FAR DOWN the description. PDFConverter is literally useless if you don't pay.
If they’d just been honest up front, they’d have avoided confusion and angering a lot of people.
But they were deceptive, so they get 1 star. Guessing a lot of the 5-star reviews are fraudulent fake reviews, too. Hope Apple shuts this down & bans the developer.

Read description before downloading and new I would have to pay for what I needed to do, convert pdf to excel format. Description says this can be done both ways pdf to excel and back. Simply put does not work. Tried 1 page out of a full document to test and and conversation failed several times. Contacted support for refund. I was only $3.99 so I should have known better.

Just say what the price of it is on PDFConverter screen I paid four dollars on PDFConverter screen and then another $50 to make this thing work yearly.
If I wasn’t in such a hurry I would’ve found another app that was much cheaper to do such a simple conversion for my picture scans to PDF files. I feel taken advantage of.

Paid $4 so I could convert a resume from PDF format to a word document so I can update my resume. It converted my pdf resume to a word doc, but the format was completely jumbled and and basically everything was messed up rendering the word doc completely unusable. PDFConverter is an absolute complete waste of time and money

Foolish app don’t even dare to download PDFConverter else you gonna waste your time and WiFi data.I downloaded PDFConverter,about to use I placed a document in to convert to pdf and they are asking for subscription ,without no information on subscription before use on their profile. This means I have just wasted my time

PDFConverter itself is great, but it’s a subscription that you pay for. When initially downloaded, that information is axed until you need to actually transfer whatever into a pdf. Not exactly happy that I was under the impression of it being free to use and then not being free to use

I only needed to use PDFConverter once, so I paid for the weekly subscription with plans to cancel right after. There’s no way to cancel the plan within PDFConverter . I emailed support and have not heard back. I don’t want to pay $4 per week for this service.

I paid for the weekly subscription and converted pdf to doc but only one page would show up. Each one was multiple pages. So I did everything I read and followed the instructions. And nothing same outcome. Don’t waiste your money.

Make it a paid app if you’re going to ask me for 10 bucks for the only file I want turned into a PDF... can do it online for free once a day. Don’t pay for this ripoff, disingenuous app.

The Apple store is seriously lacking credibility if it lets apps like this artificially inflate their own ratings. Abysmal.

Update: PDFConverter you want is “Photos PDF: Scanner Converter”, It does the same exact thing as PDFConverter but is actually free.

App states you have to pay for “unlimited use” but you have to pay for any use at all, and the smallest amount is $5 for a week of usage.

I’m sure PDFConverter works just fine. I’m unhappy because it misleads you to think it’s free. It’s not. It’s a subscription service. Which is fine, and I don’t even mind paying it. But I won’t because I don’t like being tricked into it.
Just put the fee in PDFConverter Store and be transparent about it. No need to manipulate customers.

There’s no reason why PDFConverter is worth $10 a month for a converter. The fact that you need to pay a subscription fee just to use it is ridiculous.

The format that the document was converted into was not what I expected. TurboTax requires a CSV formatted document to load in my info from my crypto purchases. I paid to use PDFConverter, and it worked very fast. I saved the file, and it was upload-able to TurboTax. But they couldn’t process the document the way it was laid out. So I waisted my money. Don’t use this if you’re in the same boat with Robinhood. Just wait until 2/18 for TurboTax to be able to import it directly without having to upload the file. And if you’re not using TurboTax, good luck! Lol.

Most of us probably just need to convert one file and the developer knows this, so the cheapest option for any use is $4/week.
Aside from that PDFConverter works.

It says to pay to get unlimited use, seems like you need to pay to get any use. App works fine for what you will probably need, just seems a little underhanded.

Every single time I try to convert the photo to a PDF it just asks me to upgrade to a premium version and won’t actually let me convert, it just keep repeatedly telling me to upgrade 0/5 just use Adobe

PDFConverter is the worst not all users can pay to use you are supposed to mention it’s fully pay to use its a complete clickbait unethical trick remove it or mentione it clearly that we can’t use PDFConverter without paying stop wasting people’s time

Makes it seem like PDFConverter is free, but you have to pay 10$ a month, can’t even get a free trial or one document for free. Just wasted time downloading. Other apps will do this for free.
