Great app, but no sync with Apple Watch

I like AwesomeHabits except for one big huge problem which makes it impossible to use - AwesomeHabits does NOT sync with my Apple Watch. It keeps trying to force me to enable iCloud for sync, which I never use, and I will never enable iCloud for privacy reasons, and NO other app on AppStore requires iCloud for Apple Watch syncing - all other apps use Bluetooth to sync data between the phone and the Watch. Maybe the developer should learn to use Bluetooth for syncing data between the iPhone and the Apple Watch instead of forcing users to enable iCloud which is not necessary and not desirable for privacy reasons. I have cancelled my subscription but I will buy the paid subscription back if the developer implements easy normal Bluetooth sync between the phone and the watch. Thank you.

Unable to change simple settings

Start by setting up goals. I begin with Walking, my goal is 30 minutes a day, simple enough . . . But, no the program preset 3000 steps instead. I then try to adjust using the collections of choices offered in box at the bottom, where minutes is one of the offerings. . . But, again no! None of the choices there are responsive.
What’s the point in continuing if I can’t accomplish this simple task change? Is AwesomeHabits really this inflexible?
I see it updated as recently a one month ago and it’s on version 4.0.4 so bug as simple as this one should have been ironed out long ago, what’s up developers? Am I just not seeing something?

Awesome!

AwesomeHabits works really well! Enjoying it.

Would love the following features:

1. All me to make a goal out of any Apple health metric, I don't think you need to build them all in, but rather just a section within the "custom habit" to pick a health stat so that it can automatically connect to that health data.
2. An "On or Off Track" status indicator for the habits that are weekly or monthly as well as one for the daily status. In other words if my status is weekly, but it's tracking sugar intake, I really have no idea if I'm on track with my goal or not which forces me to to some math in my head "ok we're halfway through the week and it looks like I'm less than halfway done so I should work on this today" rather than seeing the gap between where I should be and where I am, or inverse, the fact that I can ignore that habit today because I'm already ahead. Without this feature it makes weekly and monthly goals difficult to achieve.

Very helpful

Update: The developer responded to my concerns, which is appreciated. I figured out how to use Apple health with this, but it only syncs FROM Apple health, not TO it. I would prefer if it synced both ways. One other thing that I would like is if it added an option to sync “state of mind” from Apple health, and then have some sort of chart or statements about correlations between your mood and habits. That’s the only thing it’s really missing IMO. Overall I’ve really been enjoying AwesomeHabits. It’s really well thought out, and quite customizable. It’s motivating me to stay on track with my habits.

The apple health habits are not working. I have habits turned on in apple health and have iCloud backup on. The problem is I add an Apple health habit, but there is no way to mark it off as completed. When I tried contacting them for help, it is asking me to download the mail app, which I do not use. So, two big problems.. no contact info, and apple health habits not working. I like AwesomeHabits otherwise. I am in the free trial, but likely will cancel unless these issues are resolved.

Good so far, but I have one issue

I’ve been using this tracker for a couple of weeks now, I enjoy it and like its simplicity and organization. I pretty quickly paid for premium to try it out for a month as only 3 tracked items is a low number. I find AwesomeHabits and its reminders to be unobtrusive, which I like overall but could be a problem if you’re relying on it yelling at you to do or not do something.

My one request/issue: one item I’d love to easily track is intermittent fasting. It is possible to do this at the moment using the timer function, however there’s no way for me to start the timer, for the fast that will end tomorrow, on the day I begin fasting. I have to wait until after midnight in order to track the completed fast as a successful item on the day I completed it. I’m not entirely sure how this would be implemented with the current setup/options in AwesomeHabits , but it would be great to have a timer that can be stopped and the next day’s timer started on the same day.

Lots of features & simple to use

I was looking into various habit trackers, and I love the appearance and user friendly experience of this one. It is simple to use but loaded with features. The widgets are exactly what I was looking for in a habit tracker to make it easy to use throughout my busy day. Do yourself a favor and pay for premium to access the widgets, I really think it will be a key to success for users interested in this type of app. You can tell the developer cares and continues to improve AwesomeHabits upon reading the reviews and seeing they’ve added suggested features from users in the past. Super responsive too when I had a question about getting lifetime subscription after free trial period. Thank you so much for dedicating your time to creating and maintaining this wonderful app!

Yay! Great App!

I just bought the lifetime upgrade. I really appreciate AwesomeHabits. First, I love that it’s an app on all Apple devices. That was my main concern: I wanted to keep up with habits easily on my Apple Watch. I’m glad I do with this and it has many complications. Hopefully more soon. Plus, it’s huge for me to have habits that I do daily versus weekly or monthly. I really appreciate it. I’d like a yearly option as well. Also, it’s nice to look at! I’m happy to log my progress, I’m happy that there is a timer option (so so so helpful). It’s great. Genuinely a good app and I’m happy to pay to keep it for a lifetime! That’s what really sold me. Too many apps force you to pay subscriptions forever, and this developer offers a one-time lifetime fee. I’m really grateful they do, I’m happy to pay it! Will support as much as I can.

This seems like a really good habit-tracking app!

You can set up any number of daily, weekly or monthly habits to track, and can also put them into custom–named categories. I like that the main screen with the habits being tracked also displays a percentage of completion, which can count either your daily tasks, or all tasks via one of the settings. And the percentage of completion doesn’t seem to be an All-or-Nothing situation. For example, if a habit needs a count of seven to complete and you have only performed it four times, you get credit for that. Nice. You can activate a setting that moves completed Habits to the bottom of the daily/weekly/monthly list, so you can concentrate on the ones that aren’t completed. Overall, I think this is a really good app!

A fairly viable Streaks alternative

Some things it shares with Streaks:

- Just recently, it added the ability to attach a URL to a habit.

Here’s what it has over Streaks right now:

- Unlimited habits. You aren’t limited to 24.

- Habit categorization: via lists, which operate like tags, meaning you can add multiple lists to one habit

- The ability to add units past a goal

- With Streaks, once you get the habit done, that’s it. You can’t, say, add one more hour to a Play Piano habit because you already hit your goal.

- Awesome let’s you add more hours even when you hit your goal, making it more close to Strides in tracking.

- Just recently, it added the ability to attach a description to a habit.

Here’s where it lacks:

- It’s library of Apple Health synced habits is still limited when compared to Streaks. I don’t believe I can sync things like tooth brushing.

- You can only run one timer at once and it must be done while AwesomeHabits is still open. If you exit the screen, the timer will stop.

- Lack of badges. You’ll have to enter AwesomeHabits each time to know how many habits you have yet to complete.

- The only way to filter habits is via lists. You can’t text search them or filter them by status yet.

A good motivator

I’ve been into tracking my habits for a while now, but I’ve always done it on paper, which has some drawbacks. On the other hand, AwesomeHabits has a number of features that make it easy to see your progress. In the paid version, AwesomeHabits automatically makes a graph of your data for each habit. The layout is visually-appealing, and since I’ve always got my phone on me, it’s much more convenient (and fun!) to log data than on paper.

I do have a suggestion for a future update of AwesomeHabits :
Each habit shows a streak of how many days you have kept up with the habit. I think it would be nice to add in a feature that gives a special message whenever you hit certain milestones, especially for daily goals.
We usually get excited about goals when we first set them, and then after a few weeks the excitement wears off. But I think if every now and then if AwesomeHabits gave me a thumbs up for sticking with a goal for 30 days, 3 months, 6 months etc., that would be even better.

I could also just do it myself on a calendar, but I just thought I’d put the suggestion out there. Great app!

JUST WHAT I NEED IN 2023!

My biggest goal I want to create this year is CREATING HABITS! I've realized after analyzing my productivity is that I want to create habits and keep myself accoutable to the actions in my day that I KNOW will make my life easier and create a better version of myself. AwesomeHabits makes it quick, simple, and seamless to create habits that you want to make and others you want to BREAK! Love that feature also! The WIDGET function of AwesomeHabits is priceless, because let's face it, in my workday as an influencer, model, actor, fitness trainer, online coach, I have ALOT going on and sometimes don't have days where I'm not on my laptop long so the widget being right there for me to access is a GAME-CHANGER! LOVE LOVE LOVE! You should DOWNLOAD it RIGHT NOW!

It’s a great app

I like the interface. Super easy nice options but I wish that tracking was slightly different. I don’t like the out of 100% thing. I would be more interest in a point system. Out of a 100 is so pass fail, but building habits is all about celebrating wins, not trying to maintain a standard. I don’t mind the 100% for today but over time I think it turns into maintenance, which is unfortunate. I know there are a few like that out there but the lack the simplicity of AwesomeHabits. I just think the psychology of this needs to be revisited. Edit: After exploring AwesomeHabits more and speaking with the customer service guys they have a lot of the features I was wanting they are not front and center, which would be my preference, but they are there. I am adding a star for this I will be purchasing AwesomeHabits outright given that this is case and I believe it is well worth your money. Great app.

Widgets, Apple Watch, price 🔥

Love AwesomeHabits. After using other apps, three things stand out. 1) If you use two widgets on the iPhone you can fit 24 habits there and have the ability to check them off without opening AwesomeHabits . So you get a very easy overview. On the iPad, all my habits fit in one widget. 2) I use my Apple Watch a lot for checking and completing habits and this apps wins for easy of use and very importantly, aesthetics. 3) I hate apps that don’t offer lifetime premium as a purchase option, but thankfully this one does and it’s a very reasonable price. Free trial is possible too. Bonus: AwesomeHabits has great integrations with the shortcuts app so you can use Siri to check off habits.

Great UI and super helpful

I honestly didn’t even try many other apps out there, and there are some with tens of thousands of reviews. But after using this for one day, I bought the premium version. It’s a great simple design and I love that I can utilize widgets and timers. My only critique is that the widgets don’t update in a timely manner. If I add something on my watch, it really doesn’t update on my phones homescreen widget until I launch AwesomeHabits . Kind of defeats the purpose of having a widget showing my progress is it’s not accurate. And yes, I have update in the background turned on. It could be a limitation of iOS, I’m not sure.

Best habit tracker on the App Store!

I’ve tried a majority of the habit trackers on AwesomeHabits Store. I was never able to find one that had the perfect combo of Apple Health integration, an Apple Watch app, and one that was intuitive to use. AwesomeHabits has all that and just works. It has a clean, easy to use design and isn’t buggy like some of the others I’ve tried. The Apple Watch app works seamlessly and the widgets are a great addition as well. I’ve also set up some shortcuts with AwesomeHabits and those work great too. Overall, I highly recommend AwesomeHabits to anyone looking for a high quality habit tracker!

Favorite habit tracker app.

I love AwesomeHabits.
I love how it looks and it’s super easy to use . It’s also got a ton of customization options .
Some of my favorite features are the built in timer , and the fact that you can use it to build good habits or break bad ones . Also the fact that you can track by time spent on bad habits instead of being all or nothing where you fail if you do the thing at all .

I also like the fact that you can adjust time manually later if you forget to turn the timer on or off . It was also nice to be able to go back and add the streak I had on meditation before I had purchased AwesomeHabits .

The only thing I’d do different is give more sound options for when you are checking off a habit . Right now I have the sound turned off because I don’t like the default chime .

But that’s a minor thing with all the other things I love about AwesomeHabits . I got the lifetime subscription.

Awesome Habits. Awesome App.

Every time I start with a new productivity system I over complicate it. Not with this. Empty rings bad. Filled rings good. Habits are incredibly simple to set up and customize. Back filling is easy and day/week/month views are great. The widgets put habits front and center and performing a habit has become a welcome alternative to getting swept up in social media.

With my setup, a “meh” day means about 70%— C work, but a better baseline (and better streaks!) than I’ve had in the past. 100% days really count and include a mix of baseline habits, tracked dietary needs, and other positive activities.

I only have two (minor) complaints:
- You can seemingly only change the primary ring color by changing AwesomeHabits to mono. Can we please set the primary ring color separately?
- Similarly, you can’t set colors on lists, so you have to manage lists and colors separately. List colors, still separate from individual habit colors but with the option to apply to all habits, would be hugely appreciated.

Wishlist:
- Expanding on the above, a view with a circle for each list’s progress with respective colors + an icon for each
- Mark a habit as “Bonus” so it contributes to the total percentage in a way that can exceed 100%

My recommendation— Get it. There are similar apps out there, but none that balance simplicity and functionality in such a satisfyingly iOS-like way.

love habits!

this is a really clean, well-designed app! i looked at a bunch of apps in this category, but i was sold on this one by both its design and simple pricing model. there's an iOS and Mac version, and both have widgets too, which makes it easy to notice your target goals and log them when completed, all of which syncs across devices without having to create or log in to a separate account. i downloaded this at the start of the new year and it's amazing how many rings i've been able to close every day! a great support for desired behavior changes. i highly recommend it!

Its simple and it helps

I purchased the lifetime subscription because it was on sale for about 20 dollars (only double the price of the year subscription) AwesomeHabits is very simple to use and makes you feel accomplished for completing things, its also nice being able to see how long you've been doing your habits and to see your progression. I also like how AwesomeHabits had a widget it helps remind me about things since I always see it on my home screen.

Definitely the best habit tracker app out there!

I’ve tried a bunch of the popular habit tracking apps out there and their heavy subscription based pricing was not worth the features they provide. AwesomeHabits however is simple and intuitive. It’s not perfect yet, but that’s the case with all apps basically.
The best aspect of AwesomeHabits is that your habits can be tracked through the Apple Watch. The timers can be started and stopped too on your watch. The only other app that had this ability was Streaks (and that app has gone down the bug-ridden hole)
Awesome Habits also has rings that match the apple fitness rings and the waterminder ring as an added aesthetic bonus!
Great app and I recommend AwesomeHabits over their heavily marketed counterparts.
